My bed is warm. My sheets are warm. I am warm. But my house is cold, as is the world. It is so quiet. I have no thoughts, my mind is quiet too.
My cat is purring. She purrs often. I think she is hungry. I have no food to feed her. I try and get up, she is on my lap. She purrs louder, and then stops. Her white fur covered arm swats at my hand when I move her. Her fat body plops to the ground with a humph. Hisses come out of her and I watch as her tail swishes away, out the door. I am alone again. I am not supposed to be alone.
My doctor says it's because I am not careful with myself, I say it's because I do not know what I am here for.
