Y/n's pov
"Come on, 5 more" I told myself before I counted in my mind
61 62 63 64... 65!
I let out a sigh as I rolled over on the mat and just laid there
I was working out and I had just 65 push ups, my new record
I got up as I grabbed my towel since I was gonna take a shower when my phone rang, I grabbed it and saw it was an unknown number
I recognized the number though...
I answered it anyway
"Hello?" I said waiting for a response when my blood ran cold
"Uh- y/n. Hi it's me, Mia" My eyes widen once I realized it was my ex
"I- how- what..." I didn't even know what to say, I was feeling too many emotions at once
"Listen I know this is all weird but we need to meet up, it's urgent." She said as I looked at the time

"Meet me up at the lucky café in 40" She said before hanging up
This girl had the audacity to hang up on me without letting me even utter a word out
I put the phone down still a bit shocked but I headed to the bathroom for a shower
I needed to know what this was.
My girlfriend of 2 years, ever since high school, decided to one day just leave me. No word, text, call, nothing. She just left one morning when I didn't find her in my house anywhere and no one knew where she went
But now she randomly calls me and asks me to meet up
I needed to know what was going on.
Once I finished showering I put on some comfortable clothes. Some beige cargo pants, high top converse, and a navy blue long sleeve shirt
I headed downstairs where I saw my current girlfriend on the couch
"Where are you going?" Jenna asked in a soft tone while looking up at me from the book she was reading
"Uh I have to meet up with a friend from work, I'll be back soon though" I said with a smile
"Alright, be careful though. And if anyone asks, you're married." She said as I chuckled
"Your wish is my command" I said before placing a kiss on her lips
"See ya cutie" She said
"See ya gorgeous" I said before leaving, I opened my car door before getting in and grabbing my phone
"Let's see what you come up with now" I said in a sigh before turning my car on and heading over to the cafe I was supposed to meet my ex

Time skip~
I got to the café as I was scared to walk in, I haven't seen my ex in almost 3 years
I got out my car as I carefully made my way into the café, looking around trying to find Mia when I made eye contact with her
But I noticed something.. or someone

She looked awfully a lot like me when I was a child
"Uh hey" I said while walking over to the booth where Mia and the little girl was at
"Hi y/n, please take a seat" She said as I slid into the seat opposite of them
"Mia. It's been a while... almost 3 years to be exact" I said which made her sigh
"Y/n there is no easy way to put this so I'm just gonna be straight up with you" Mia started
"This is Luna" She said while looking down at the child next to her
"My daughter... and yours" She said as my whole world stopped

"W-what? No Mia, Mia that's impossible-" I was saying when she cut me off
"Y/n, Luna is 2 about to be 3 next month. That morning- the morning I left... I had been feeling unwell, throwing up every morning, all that so I took a pregnancy test and well it came out positive. I didn't know what to do and I was scared because we were so close to finishing high school and I didn't want to ruin our lives so- so I left.. I'm sorry I did but I just had to.." Mia said as I took a shaky deep breath
"Luna is a smart girl so when she saw a picture of us when we were still together she immediately called you mom and just knew, so I thought it was time for you to know you had a child and for her to meet her other mom.." She continued as I looked down at the little girl, she was playing around with a doll before looking at me
Why did she have to look so much like me..
"Oh my god" I mumbled out while running my hand through my hair
"What do you want then?" I asked which made her confused
"What do you mean?" She asked
"Do you want money or what? I mean Mia, you left me. No note, text or anything explaining what happened. This kid- I don't think I can do anything, become a parent- I just don't think so. I'm with someone else who has no idea of my dating history and I don't want to just drop this on her all at once- Mia, I needed you. We were going to fully move in together, go to college together, Mia build a life together. Yet you left, then 3 years later you come back telling me I have a child who already knows more than a 2 year old should? You either want something or you're planning to leave again" I said knowing way to well how Mia was, she let out a sigh before looking down
"Listen y/n, I- I don't want anything. I just want you to learn more about your daughter and for her to learn about her other mother" She said but her tone was throwing me off
"I named her after you" She added
"Yea- yeah I figured" I said while scratching my nape
During high school I was given the nickname 'Moon' by one of my friends, why?
No idea.
But it stuck on me for my whole high school life
And well moon in Spanish is Luna which I am Hispanic so explains the name given to the girl- or my child

"I'll let you two.. talk? I'll be right back" Mia said before getting up and walking away
I looked at the child who looked at me
"Uh- hi.. child" I said while slightly waving
"Hi" She spoke
"Soooo... I heard you're two years old" I said before mentally face palming
"Yeah" She said while nodding
"That's crazy..." I said while awkwardly looking away
"You're my mom?" She asked which I nodded
"Yeah, apparently" I said
"That's crazy" Her small and childish voice said, repeating what I said earlier. I frowned my eyebrows in surprise and confusion
"You kids scare me" I admitted
"You scare me" She responded with quite an attitude, my mouth dropped open as I looked at her with widen eyes
"I know for a fact you got that attitude from your mother, that is not me. You have my looks but surely not my personality" I said while looking at her but she just went back to playing with her doll
I looked around trying to find Mia when I didn't see her anywhere, I frowned my eyebrows as I got up and went to the bathroom, trying to see if she was there but no one was in there
"No.." I said before rushing out and seeing that there was a backpack left next to Luna
"Luna pass me the backpack" I said because it was on her other side
"Why" She simply said
"Luna give me the backpack! Um.. it's a m-mother command" I said stuttering like an idiot, she passed me the backpack as I opened it and looked inside
Toys, food, clothes

I quickly ran outside and looked around
She was gone

"You son of a bitch!" I said kicking a rock on the ground, she just left me with the child
"Ah shit" I said realizing that I left Luna alone, I quickly rushed back in but saw she was unbothered and just playing with her toys
Maybe she does have a bit of my personality
"Luna, do you know where your mother went?" I asked her which she simply shook her head
"Uh- I don't think she's coming back" I said before she nodded
"I know but it's okay, I have you momma" She said which I couldn't help but feel my heart melt
"I knew it was a bad idea" I said sitting down next to her
"It's okay mama, I'm here" She said while patting my hand, her hand being microscopic compared to mine
"Thanks kid but we need to go although I don't really want to bring you home" I said which she looked at me a bit offended
I didn't know kids these days had so much knowledge and control over themselves
"Meany" She said, I couldn't help but chuckle lightly before getting up
"Well I guess I have no choice, I'm gonna have to break it to Jenna right then and there. Ugh why couldn't you look more like your mother? Then I could have said you were a niece or something" I said looking at her, she shrugged before scooting to the end of the seat
"I don't like it either" She said before walking to the door, my mouth completely dropping in offense
"What the... damn she is my daughter" I said before grabbing the backpack and walking over to open the door
We walked out and started walking to my car when she grabbed my hand
"Woah what are you doing?" I asked while stopping
"Holding your hand" She said
"Why?" I asked
"Because I want to" She said, this child got some real attitude
"Okay.." I said before holding her hand and walking to my car
"Um- do you wanna ride in the back or? I mean I didn't know your mother was gonna leave me with you, more importantly tell me you were alive so... I didn't have time to plan for a car seat" I said looking down at her
"I wanna- I wanna go in car" She said while pointing at it
"Yeah I know, we don't have much choice but in the back or front? Wait no back, right? It's safer for a child, isn't it?" I asked
"I don't know!" She said while throwing her hands up
"Okay let's just go!" I said before opening the back door
"Careful" I said while directing her around the door so she didn't hit it, she then got in as I waited for her to buckle herself
"So... are you gonna buckle yourself?" I asked
"I don't know how to" She plainly said
"Ahhh right" I said before buckling her in
"Alright let's go home" I said before hoping into the drivers seat
"I want ice cream" She said as I was buckling myself in
"Sorry kid not today" I said before starting the car, I heard her whine before she started pouting
"We will get some tomorrow" I said but she still didn't budge
"I hate my life" I mumbled out

"Yes!" She said while eating her ice cream
"Alright let's go home now" I said before driving back home, not driving too fast or crazy because Luna didn't have a car seat and it could be dangerous
As we reached my apartment, I sat in the car for a bit thinking of what to do
"Can we go in? I have to pee" Luna said as I groaned before letting my head fall on the steering wheel
"Yeah, let's go I guess" I said before getting out the car and getting her out, I grabbed the backpack as I directed her to the door
As I opened the door, I peaked inside but saw that Jenna wasn't in the living room
"She must be upstairs" I told myself before opening the door wide enough for Luna to go in
"Woah, this is cool!" Luna said before sitting on the couch
"Okay stay here, I'll be back in a bit" I said before placing the backpack next to her
"But I have to-" She was saying when I cut her off
"No buts, you stay here" I said before heading upstairs, I saw my bedroom door shut so I knew she was in there. I knocked first before entering a few seconds later
"Hey love" I said while walking in
"Hi baby! I missed you" She said before coming over and hugging me, I smiled before hugging her back
"I missed you too but... we need to talk about something" I said as she pulled back and seemed a little nervous
"What's wrong?" She asked before she pulled me to sit down in the bed
"I uh- when I left, I didn't go see a friend from work. I'm sorry I lied but I didn't want you to think the wrong thing, I actually went to meet up with my ex.." I said as her eyes slightly widen
"Oh.." She said
"Yeah.. but it wasn't what you might think. I had a girlfriend of 2 years in high school, we even lived together but she then disappeared without any trace before we could have finished high school. Today, she called me out of nowhere and asked me to meet up because it was urgent... when I got there, she was there... with a child" I said while holding her hands
"That child... is mine" I said as her eyes widen and her mouth dropped a little
"The reason my ex left me was because she was pregnant but well, we were still in high school.. but well she seems to have left again because when she left me alone with the kid, she left. So now I don't know what to do but I have my child sitting downstairs while eating ice cream and I really hope you don't want to leave me because right now is a time where I need you the most but I understand if you do wanna leave me-" I was saying when she stopped me
"Hey no no no. Listen this is all a big shock to me but I know that you also just found out so it isn't your fault. I don't know what to do either though now that the mother pretty much abandoned the child with you" She said
"But I don't wanna leave you. And I won't! I love you y/n and I know you need me the most right now" She said while putting a hand on my cheek, I smiled before kissing her
"Thank you darling, I love you too" I said before pulling her into another kiss
"Oh wait, she's downstairs. Would you like to meet her?" I asked as Jenna seemed to freeze up a bit
"O-oh, sure" Jenna said before we headed downstairs
"Uh Luna. This is Jenna, my girlfriend" I said while reaching the child who was sitting on the couch with a mouth covered with chocolate ice cream
"Aw Luna" I whined out before going into the kitchen and getting a napkin
"Let me clean you up" I said before kneeling down next to her and wiping her face
"Alright as I was saying, Luna this is Jenna my girlfriend, Jenna this is Luna my daughter" I said while pointing at each one
"Hi" Luna said while waving
"Hi" Jenna responded with a smile
"Momma" Luna said while looking up at me, I hummed in response
"Your girlfriend is pretty" She said, I chuckled out as Jenna smiled widely
"Ah thank you Luna, that's a cute name" Jenna said as Luna smiled
"Thank you" Luna said, I smiled while going over to Jenna
"She looks a lot like you" Jenna said as I sighed and nodded
"Yeah that's why I couldn't lie to you and tell you she was my niece or something" I said before receiving a slap to the arm by Jenna
"What?!?" I said while rubbing my arm
"Mommy I still need to pee" Luna said
"Ah right I forgot about that" I said before going over and picking her up
"I'll be right back" I said before bringing her upstairs to the bathroom
"Okay go" I said before she entered yet came back
"I don't know how to" She said
Crap she isn't potty trained
"Um.. do you have diapers?" I asked which she nodded
"Then why don't you just go?" I said realizing she probably has one on
"Mama didn't put one on me" She said as I sighed
"Your mother is not the best person.." I said before looking down the hall
"Hey jen, can you bring me the backpack that I left on the couch?" I yelled downstairs before Jenna came up with the backpack
"Thank you" I said before looking through the backpack and seeing a diaper
"Uh do you know how to put it on?" I asked Luna before getting a slap to the arm
"Here I'll do it, I used to put one on my niece all the time" Jenna said before grabbing the diaper
"Wait, why would we put the diaper on if we are gonna have to change it right after?" I asked before we all stopped
"Can you hurry up, I have to pee still" Luna said
"Wow she is your kid" Jenna said as I rolled my eyes and went in the bathroom
"I'm gonna help her pee then we can put the diaper on" I said before closing the door
"Uh- okay how do we do this?" I said while tapping my forehead
"Oh okay, so I'll help you on the toilet and you do your business, boom" I said before bending down
"Um, okay... how do I say this without sounding weird" I said because it does sound a bit weird to tell her to pull down her pants, as you can tell..
I'm not ready to be a parent.
"I got it" Luna said before pulling down her pants
"Okay" I said before I sat her on the toilet, I looked up while she did her business
"Okay I'm done" She said before I took her off the toilet
"Uh.. can you clean yourself?" I said still not looking at her
"Yeah" She said before she went over to the toilet paper, I patiently waited before I felt a tug on my sleeve
"Done!" Luna said before I looked down and saw she had her pants up
"Alright wash your hands" I said before she went over to the counter
"Ah right" I said before picking her up since she was too small
"Okay wash your hands very good" I said before I put some soap in her hands and turned on the water
"Wait" I said stopping her before she put her hands in the water, I lowered the pressure and changed it to a bit warmer water
"Okay wash your hands now" I said after putting my hand in the running water to see if it was fine for her, after she washed her hands I gave her a towel as she dried her hands
"Okay ready?" I said as she nodded
"Let's go" I said before opening the door and seeing Jenna on her phone
"Alright go with Jenna and let her put a diaper on you" I said which Luna nodded
"Why is your hair so messy?" I said before kneeling down and fixing luna's hair
"There, you look good. Like me" I said with a smile as I placed my hands on the side of her head
"Yeah I look good! Like momma!" Luna yelled out as I chuckled
"Yes like momma, high-five!" I said before putting my hand out and she high-fived it
"Now go with Jenna" I said before standing up and looking at Jenna, she was smiling
"What?" I asked confused
"Nothing" She said while shaking her head and taking a hold of luna's hand
"Let's go Luna" Jenna said before going inside the room with Luna
