Wellston Agency (aka WS Agency)
Girl Group: Heroine
Seraphina/Stage name Sera - (Leader, Main rapper, lead dancer, sub vocalist)
- The most popular of the group, became an idol going against what her parents wanted for her, does the least brand endorsements unless it's with the whole group but when she does the item she's promoting is 99% likely to get sold out in seconds or become a big success, most sought out to guest appear in shows, very eloquent so she gets into the least scandals and the netizens love her, has a great history of being a mentor/judge on survival shows, is known as the face of WS Agency.
Remi - (Main vocalist, main dancer, lead visual, the face of the group)
- Does the most brand endorsements, is close to multiple idols from different groups *cough cough* isen and blyke *cough cough*, has her own show with those two cause they trained together and she attended the same high school as them so they have a very public friendship with them but like half of her fandom ship her with blyke, goes on talk shows the most and is often seen defending her groupmates when the host is being disrespectful, mom of the group, often goes on variety show with Elaine, mentors in different survival shows
Elaine - (Maknae, Lead vocalist, main visual)
- Ambassador for multiple brands, goes on variety shows a lot which kind of leads to some uh scandals (look i love elaine but most of the fandom does not so to translate that over, elaine gets into scandals in this AU and gets a lot of hate, trying to keep this as realistic to the character as possible but at the same time, poor elaine) does the second most brand endorsements, doesn't like talk shows because the hosts always single her out, posts the most on her socials but at the same time a pretty private person, got chosen to join the group from a survival group so she has a large following but because the point of the show is to be the last one standing among other trainees she got a lot of hate for it as well because she was seen as mean and judgemental when the show was edited and cut to make it way more dramatic
Cecile - (Lead rapper, sub-vocalist, lead dancer, producer)
- Models for brands the most, attends fashion events, does some acting as well, does not do variety shows unless with the full group, is the quietest of the group but has a large following, does not update their socials often, doesn't get into scandals but people hate on her for quietness within the group, very critical but that helps the group when recording because she has excellent feedback, produces some of their music.
Boy Group: Anti-Hero
John - (Co-leader, main rapper, lead dancer, face of the group)
- Face of the group, he and Arlo are always battling for the most popular of the group, causes scandals a lot but not always necessarily bad scandals, always willing to meet fans and speaks up against the mistreatment of idols which always causes a stir within the community, goes to fashion events if someone from the group goes along cause he doesn't like socializing with other people, netizens like his edgy but has a heart of gold persona he has, writes the lyrics for their songs, had a phase with an astronomical amount of hair gel slapped on his head like a helmet and their pr team did wonders erasing 95% of that phase from the internet :D Sera holds all the remaining pictures
Arlo - (Co-leader, main vocalist, main visual, sub-rapper)
- he defo the black sheep of the group cause he is very serious, does the most modelling/attending fashion events and used to be a model (idk I'm coming up with this on the spot), a lot of people are surprised by his deep singing voice, very cut-throat to disrespectful interviewers/talk show hosts/haters it's like the only moment other than revising lyrics do john and him get along, very well known judge on survivor shows for idols, doesn't like appearing on variety shows but when he does appear usually with the other members the viewership goes through the roof cause everyone enjoys seeing the group bantering and arguing :D
Blyke - (Lead rapper, lead vocalist, maknae)
- Surprisingly has a kind of mysterious vibe cause he is private, very popular on his show with Remi and Isen, he and isen have multiple viral videos of them interacting (mostly doing stupid shit and blyke regretting it later), the only one with their own songs, people love his gentleman vibes, does surprisingly well at variety shows and sports tho he gets flustered sometimes and blows up in an entertaining way which netizens love, appeared as a guest on a survival rapping show, does sports endorsements and is an ambassador for a currently unnamed sports brand :D
Isen - (Main dancer, lead visual, sub-vocalist)
Very good at dancing, people love his goofy personality and his rare bouts of seriousness/intelligence, comes up with all their choreography, made the orange/black two-toned hairstyle very popular, and goes on most variety shows, sometimes on his show with Remi and blyke the cameramen focus on him being a third-wheel while the editors add subtitles like "oh the woes of being the third-wheel", surprisingly good at modelling, is the one to come up with the idea of doing a joint concert with Heroine called Vigilante in the three main cities of Japan, is the most active on social media, very good at crowd control.
The Idea
Isen pondered in his room, something doe usually doesn't do at all. He was lying on his too-large-for-one-person bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. Anti-Hero had come back two weeks ago and the response was good, great even. They were one of the best groups out there at the moment but he felt like something was missing.
It's been two years since they debuted, they had two albums out and 5 singles which all garnered amazing reviews and responses from Japan and impressive viewings from around the globe. He and Blyke go on variety shows like once a month which keeps them current. They have only appeared as a group on variety shows twice, John and Arlo not being that fond of them. Unless it's their own show: Mission.
The show he has with Remi and Blyke is also very popular and allows him to keep in touch with Remi and her group Heroine. Anti-Hero debuted 8 months after Remi's group but the two groups had a great friendship publically and an amazing friendship privately.
He had met Remi and Blyke in high school and they all had been trainees while still attending school. It's been 7 years since then. The groups had good public relations, being from the same agency and having some of the same training classes together.
There had been a few scandals when the public thought they were too close, which, he thought was bullshit. Why couldn't they be friends? Most of them were the same age and they see each other all the fucking time being from the same agency.
Anyways, back to the matter at hand. Isen is always one for trying new things and if he's being honest, the idol community has been getting monotonous. Don't get him wrong, he loves performing but it's always the same shows, the same channel, and the same studio.
He needs something new. What could Anti-Hero do to stand out but also entertain their fans? And maybe passively aggressively flip off the people who think idols should remain untouched, even from other idol groups.
A metaphorical light went off his head, his eyes widened comically. Why didn't he think of this before???? This was a great excuse just to hang out with the Heroine members!
Isen got up so fast, his bed making an odd creaking sound as he jumped off the bed. He ran down the stairs, almost tripping in the process and met with the rest of his group mates in the living room.
Arlo barely glanced up from the book he was reading, Blyke looked at him weirdly before doing this half-shrug motion and continuing his video game. John was at the kitchen table, going over lyrics he was assuming. He just quirked a brow at the grand entrance Isen made before continuing his lyric-going-over.
"Before I hear it, I have a great fucking idea, and it's actually great this time."
Finally, Arlo looked up from his book. His face scrunched up, not believing a word he was saying. Though, he knew that when Isen had an idea, he would stop at nothing for everyone to hear it. With a sigh he put down his book, signalling Blyke to pause his game. He took off the headset, ruffling his bright red hair before leaning back on the couch, yawning.
Isen bristled at the lack of attention, this was his best idea yet. And!! He knew Blyke was still trying to come up with an excuse to see Remi as their show was on a break right now. Isen smirked smugly, ha! One point Isen ;>
"Ahem, Blyke I already know you're going to agree to my idea so- shut it! Lemme finish before you decide to deny it." Blyke snapped his jaw shut, glaring at Isen. He sat up now, ready to deny whatever Isen was going to suggest. Their comeback response was great, he did not want to ruin it with whatever idiotic idea Isen had. He turned to John, meeting his eye from across the room. He motioned John over, if there was one person that could vehemently deny Isen whatever idea he came up with, it was John.
The chair scraped against the wooden boards of the ground as John came over. He flopped beside Blyke, grabbing one of the many plushies their fans had gifted them that were littered on the couches and propping his head on it.
Taking that as his cue to start, Isen started explaining his absolutely fucking terrific idea:
"Okay, so you know how there are so many toxic 'fans' that hate the idea of us not being available and always attack other idols if we're too friendly? Yea, so this is basically a giant 'fuck you' to them."
Isen was beaming in absolute joy at the idea of flicking them off but Arlo and John were already concerned about his vision. As an idol group, the spotlight was always going to be on them so one wrong move and they're out. They can't exactly tell the 'fans' that support them to fuck off when they attack other idols or they'll be seen as rude and non-appreciative of their fans.
Before either of them could bring up their concerns Isen cut in once again.
"My idea is to do a joint Japan concert with Heroine. We're all close with the members even if we can't act the way we want when we're with them. So, why don't we do a joint concert with them in.....at least like 3 locations. Maybe Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto, andddddd Hiroshima? Like it's an excuse for us to actually have a reason to be friendly and have fun with them and we can break the idol norms like we always do by doing a three-location concert with a girl group. Fuck dating rumours, we're just here to make music and have fun with other idols and fans."
Blyke nodded slowly, this could actually be really successful for both groups and immensely fun for all of them. If planned correctly and properly advertised this could be the biggest event for them. And, not the mention a great excuse to see Remi and the rest of the girls.
As much as it hurt his pride to agree with Isen's idea, this actually seemed like a good idea and he could finally hang out with other idols that aren't in the male group.
"I'm down," Blyke agreed. He turned to John and Arlo, both contemplating the idea Isen had thrown out. John was probably going to agree while Arlo was definitely thinking way too fast and going through 99.9% of all the pros and cons that involved this idea.
"Ah," Arlo suddenly muttered before glaring darkly at Isen.
Isen started sweating, averting his gaze.
'WHAT NOW????? BLYKE AGREED, WHY IS ARLO GLARING AT ME LIKE THA-'
"Shouldn't we actually ask Heroine before agreeing on anything?" A dark voice ground out.
Isen blinked.
Blyke blinked.
Then they simultaneously smacked their forehead.
Of course! Sure they could've agreed first and then contact them but what if they disagreed? Wouldn't it be better to have the girls on his side????
John sighed like a tired father, (giving Aiwaza vibes) he got up wordlessly, the stuffed animal under his arm and connected his laptop to their flat-screen tv. They all sent out texts to the members of Heroine and called Heroines' manager to gather them together.
If Isen remembered correctly, this is usually the time they have dance practice so it should be no problem to pull them out.
Heroine
"Uhhhh guys, I got a text from Isen asking us to all gather and connect to a Skype meeting," Remi said, confused.
"I got something similar from John," Sera responded, cocking her head to the side. Well, she thinks this is a "gather together text"(?)
John: grt al; the heroin membres
John: we;ll srnd u a skpe call
Either John has been really sleep-deprived or he only had one hand to type. (it was both)
"Huh, me too from Arlo...I don't know if it's me but Arlo sounds dead tired in this text message." Remi twisted her body, and Elaine accommodated her and showed her the phone screen.
Arlo: Gather the rest, we're going to send you a Skype call.
Arlo: Humor Isen for a little bit
"No...I see it too," Remi laughed sheepishly, she had an inkling how John and Arlo were looking at this very moment.
"I'd rather not get a phone call from Isen telling us to hurry up so let's just head to one of the empty meeting rooms and get online," Cecile spoke tiredly, grabbing her water bottle and taking a sip. They were on a break from choreographing dances for their new album, 'Perspective' for that was set to launch in a few months.
As the group headed up the elevator to the third floor of WS Agency, Isen kept on spamming Remi and Blyke was also doing that unintentionally by apologizing for Isen and also kindly asking them to get online.
"I dunno how you dealt with this on camera Remi..." Elaine laughed lightly, clearly hearing all the buzzes from Remi's phone.
Remi sighed, wiping a bead of sweat off her forehead, "I dunno either to be honest." She briefly glanced at her phone before shooting a quick message that they were heading to a meeting room with their manager.
Once they entered, Elaine put up the do not enter sign and Sera set up the laptop before accepting the Skype call.
"Finally! You know in the time you guys took to get online Arlos' been glaring at me." Isen glanced behind him before quickly turning back and smiling nervously. Cecile sighed, clearly remembering her trainee days with Isen. She felt the slightest, tiniest bit of remorse for Arlo who was usually the main person that dealt with Isen.
"Sooooooooooooo what's up? Why'd you tell us to gather so insistently?" Remi asked with a questioning tone, she furrowed her brows, theories for the call rising from her mind.
"Okay so, you know how like everyone is always focused on us and our interactions? This event that might happen if you guys agree is basically a big 'fuck you' to allllllll the people who want us to remain 'available.'" Isen grinned with a multitude of emotions, mostly mischief.
Sera blinked.
Elaine blinked.
Remi cocked her head.
Cecile just sighed, exasperated.
"Oh my fucking god, basically he's asking if you guys are willing to do a joint Japan tour with us where we perform together at three major cities. You know since mister writer here can't explain anything other than articles the press writes against us." Blyke emphasized the last part, glaring at Isen across the couch. He hasn't hung out with Remi in two months, both Arlo and John were sleep deprived because of performances and tweaking of plans and Blyke had already been in two dating rumours despite their great comeback. He was not in the right head space to deal with Isen right now.
That, and he really misses Remi and needs his dose of in-person Remi like really soon or he's gonna snap and stab Isen with a fork.
Isen looked away, whistling the tune to their new song.
Heroine's manager stood there slack-jawed. In all her years of working with idols, this was a first. It was actually a pretty good idea if you subtract crazy fans, nosey reporters, hardcore fans, and demanding media statements.
Which were the staples of being ~an idol~
Honestly, how could they think that we could even do such an event? It's almost imposs-
"I'm down." Sera nodded, she was tired of the reporters and their nosey and invasive questions and she honestly missed the guys.
"Me too! This sounds honestly so fun," Elaine smiled, though you could tell she was nervous, this event sounded just what the group needed.
"I'm surprised Isen, this sounds like one of your doable ideas," Remi chuckled as Isen complained through the screen but she nodded nonetheless.
"Well... all my group mates agreed and I would love to just cause some headaches for the press so let's do it," Cecile smirked, she had the perfect plan to share with the media team later.
Their manager stared helplessly, she thought the girls would have more common sense than the guys...I guess she was wrong.
