I've been around since his birth,
and always been his hearth!
We taught ourselves to be strong,
to not blur the line between right and wrong!
I helped him push and pull,
to use his capacities to the full!
And whenever I see him fly,
high and mighty up in the sky,
I do love to watch him soar;
and my efforts let out a triumphant roar!
We egg each other on to do more,
to push ourselves to the fullest core!
For raising him he calls me "Mother"
for being with me, I tell him,
"You are me," we are none other!
Wherever I go he is my constant,
We have always been wrapped up, never distant!
Ever on my shoulder, he is my roadie,
my little fluffy bird, I call him "Birdie!"
