I was at the restaurant waiting on Stefanie to arrive
When she called me a few days ago asking to meet up for lunch. At the Italian place not to far away from the District attorney's office. She said it was important over the phone, l'm on pins and needles. I took a sip of my drink, l could go for something stronger but it was the middle of the day. Plus I was on my lunch break

I look over the menu to see what I wanted to order
The chicken primavera looks good, l probably get that
I looked up and see Stephanie walk inside the restaurant
Dressed up in a pair of black khakis pants and nicely red blouse. I'm glad she left her safety weapon in the car
I didn't like guns. Stephanie begins making her way towards the table. I stand up and give her a hug

The waiter came over to take our orders, Stephanie ordered the chicken Alfredo. And I decided on the chicken primavera, mom seemed off when we spoke last
How you spoken to her recently. I know her anniversary is coming up, Stef says to me. We talked last week she was okay when we spoke, l know that she's been dealing with a difficult case. I said to my sister, do you think Daddy's having an affair Stephanie States. I know mother mentioned that he's been staying late at the office

I've been under a lot of stress at work lately. Alex explains to her sister, trust me I get it l have had a few bad days myself and Lena makes me sleep in the guestroom
But you can't keep pushing other people away that care about you honey. We're all worried about you every since your break up, you've buried yourself in your work
I just don't like to see you so down Stef said. You guys don't need to worry about me, l'm fine plus Casey and I are getting together next weekend for drinks Alex tells her sister. Now l'm really scared Casey you know is going to try and set you up with a woman, just because your last relationship failed. Don't be so quick to throw it in the towel, not every women out there are cheaters
I know Ashley made you lose trust towards every person out there. Don't shut the door on love cause you never know, what could be out their waiting for you on the other side Stef explains to her sister. When Ashley and I were together she would always want me to pay the bill when we were out at some restaurant, she must have thought l had a lot of money based on the car l drive
