Maya's POV
"Thank you captain bishop, we will be in touch" the chief said as she walked out the room, Andy and vic had really left so it just left me and carina sat there.
"I'm so sorry that happened to you bella" carina said to me as she kissed my hand crying.
"It's not your fault carina" I tell her. "I wanted to be the hero and stayed, it was my fault, but I will never let it happen again, I won't be that stupid." I tell her
"Bella it's not your fault either, you just got unlucky" she tells me.
"I know, I know" I reply. "Lie with me" I tell her.
"No bella it's fine, there is not enough room" she tells me.
"Of course there is" I tell her moving up
"Okay okay" she replies as she gets into the bed with me and hugs me tightly.
Before I knew it both carina and i were fast asleep.

I had now been in the hospital for what felt like a life time but in fact it had only been 3 days, addy and my mom didn't know I had been injured, I had planned to tell them but just never got around to doing it. But as soon as I get home I definitely will, I don't want them to worry.
"You ready to go bella ?" Carina asked as she appeared at my door with a wheel chair.
"Yes and I'm not getting in that thing, I'll walk" I tell her.
"It's not up for debate bella, it's hospital policy, now let me wheel you around for once" she says.
"Fine but as soon as we are out of the door I am walking" I tell her.
"That's fine with me bella, now sit" she says as I stand up and sit in the wheel chair as she grabs my stuff for me.
"Comfortable?" She asks.
"Not really, but please get me out of here, I want my own bed" I tell her as she starts to push me out of the hospital.
"Weeeee" she screams as she starts starts to run down the ball way.
"Omg carina !!" I screamed as I held onto the chair trying not to fall out.
"Oh come on Maya, have a little fun" she says as she continues to run to the front door.
"See now you can stand up quicker" she says as she stops just outside the front door of the hospital.
"Well thanks for that roller coaster of a ride" I tell her.
"I'm driving right ?" I ask her.
"Fuck no bella !!" She replies kinda scared as I laugh.
"I'm only joking, don't worry, but just checking that was a no right ?" I ask her as she slaps me on the arm.
"Of course it was" she says as she helps me up out of the chair, then start to walk to the car which isn't parked that far away.
"You buckled in?" Carina asks me as she looks over ?
"Carina I'm not a baby, of course I am" I tell carina as she smiles.
"Alrighty then" she says as she drives us both home.
"Home sweet home" I say as I walk into our home and immediately flop onto the sofa.
"Bambina, be careful of our stitches" carina tell me concerned as she follows me inside carrying my bag since she insisted.
"Carina, I'm fine, come sit with me" I tell her as I move up and pat the free bit of the sofa.
"But bambina we need to unpack and I'm sure you are hungry" she says wanting everything to be just fine.
"Chill carina, chill, come sit with your wife" I say as she gives in and comes to sit next to me, leaning into her once she sits down.
"I've missed you" carina tells me playing with my hair.
"Carina you have been with me 24/7, I've seen you more then when we would when we are working" I reply.
"Yeah but I still missed you, missed you being at home" she says as she hugged me, damn she must have missed me.
"I've missed you too" I reply as she just did snuggled up on the sofa for ages.
"Are you going to call your mama and addy, they need to know what happened" she says.
"Yeah I will, actually I'll do it now that we are both together" I say as I pick my phone up from the side and call my mom.
Maya: "hey mom"
Katherine: "hey Maya, how are you after our argument the other day, I'm so sorry"
M: "it's fine, I definitely over reacted, none of it was your fault, and I should have not reacted that way"
k: "thank you for everything maya, you really are the best daughter so thoughtful and understanding."
M: "no problem, I called you up to tell you something, but please don't freak out"
K: "now I'm going to freak out, did you get hurt at work again,"
M: "actually I did mom, but don't worry, I'm back at home now and on the mend, I've got my own personal doctor so everything will be just fine"
K: "what happened"
M: "funny story actually, I was helping the arsonist who I didn't know was the arsonist at the time and he stabbed me in the stomach with the glass shard from his heart, Andy found me and they took me straight to the hospital, I had surgery and now I'm all mended"
K: "omg maya, why didn't you tell me, I would have been at the hospital every day"
M: "I know mum and that's why I didn't tell you, you worry too much that it makes you sick, I knew I would be just fine so that's why I waited to tell you"
K: "thank you for thinking of me but you didn't need too, my baby was in hospital and I would have been there"
M: "I'm sorry I didn't tell you soon"
K: "it's okay, can I come over to see you then ? I've just made some fresh cookies"
M: "ooo I do love your cookies"
C: "me too" she shouts down the phone.
K: "is that a yes ?"
M: "of course it is"
K: "I'll see you soon then, bye Maya"
M: "bye mom"
"Well that went better than I thought it would" Carina said to me.
"Yeah it definitely did, now time to call addy" I say as I start to call addy.
Addy: "hey Maya, what's up, I was just about to call you asking if you wanted to meet up at that cute coffee shop downtown tomorrow so that we can carry on getting to know each other"
Maya: "that sounds like a great idea, but I've actually had a step back and I'm not really up for going out, but maybe you could grab coffee's and come over to mine ?"
A: "yeah that's fine with me, is everything okay, you said you had a step back?"
M: "yeah I was actually in an accident at work, I've been in the hospital for the last few days, but now I'm back home, I just thought you would like to know"
A: "omg, is everything okay, how bad was you hurt ?"
M: "pretty badly, I had surgery, but I'm okay now and I'm back home"
A: "I'm glad to hear it, if it not too distressing I need the whole story tomorrow"
M: "oh of course, so I'll see you tomorrow then?"
A: "yes of course, what's your address ?"
M: "45 olive way"
A: "okay great, 11am okay with you ?"
M: "yes perfect, I'll see you tomorrow"
A: "see you tomorrow sis"
M: "see you tomorrow sis"
"Aww she's so sweet and just like you" carina says.
"Yes she is, now can we please watch the uk love island finally, before my mom gets here, the hospital tv didn't have the channel and I have not even been on Instagram to see what happened" I asked her

"Of course we can, but I didn't think you liked it ?" She asks.
"Well I didn't, but you made me watch it and now I'm invested, I need to know who wins" I say excitedly
"Well me too bella" she says as she starts to play the episode.
"I can't believe Will and Jessie were dumped, they were my winners" carina says to me.
"Me too, I loved them" I reply. "Jessie was so hot"
"Heyyyyyy, I'm say right here you know" she says prepending to me annoyed.
"I know, but you are 10000% hotter then her" I say as I give her a giant kiss.
"You are forgiven" she says as she kissed me back. "Anyways I think Tom and Sammie are going to win big I'm rooting for Lana and Ron"
"I think they are going to win, but you know what I think I'm rooting for Kai and Saman" I say as we sit back to watch it.
"Omg damn, I really didn't expect Tom and sammy to come in 3rd, I really thought they would win" carina said.
"Me too, I'm kinda shocked to be honest" I replied
"I bet you $20 Ron and Lana win" she said to me holding out her hand.
"Bet" I said as I shook her hand, both of us waiting in suspense for them to reveal the winner.
"Yessssssssss" I scream as they announce Kai and Saman as the winners.
"Hand over the $20" I say smiling at carina
Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"Oh that must me by mum" I say as I stand up to answer the door.
"Maya !!" She says as excitement as she hugs me tightly.
"Hey mom, I'm okay" I say as I pull back from the hug.
"Carina!" She then says as she hugs carina tightly. "I hope you are taking care of my baby"
"Of course I am, only the best for Maya" she replies as we all walk over to the kitchen.
"Coffee ?" Carina asks.
"Yes please" both me and my mom say as she places down the cookies on the side, wow they do smell good.
"Here you go" carina says as she hands us both a cup.
"I'm going to let you guys catch up while I sort some things out" she tells us both as she pick up a cookie form the side and takes a bite.
"Damn, they are amazing" she tell my mom.
"Thank you carina" she replies as carina heads off upstairs.
"Are you sure you are not mad at me ?" She asks.
"Stop worrying mom, of course I not, I was, but I'm not anymore, I'm blaming it all on dad, even if you wanted to tell me he wouldn't have allowed you too" I say.
"I know, and thank you Maya, how are you doing ?" She tells me.
"I'm fine thank you mom, I'm in a little pain since they did surgery on my abdomen but it's healing pretty we-" I was saying before I was interrupted by the door bell ringing again.
I stated to look around to see if I could hear carina moving to get the door since I was talking to my mum.
"Can you please get that bambina, I'm on the toilet" she shouts from upstairs. Of course she is.
"Sorry I'll be back in a minute" I say to my mom as I go towards the door before opening it.
"Addy .....?"
