Blaze rests in her room. This is her last chance to rest before school starts. She's already tired and school hasn't begun. She's tired from the upcoming school year and tired because of her problems and tired because of-
-knock knock knock- Why is that sound coming from her window?
"Blaze? Blaze? BLAZE?" Oh that's why.
"Marine. Give me a minute."
Blaze goes over to her window and unlocks the locks on said window. She opens it and look unamused at Marine.
"HEY BLAZE HOW'S IT GOING?"
Blaze Physically Recoils "Stop yelling."
"Sorry"
"Marine, your my best frie-"
"That is VERY true, thank you so much, I'm very honored!"
"Let me finish: you are my best friend. But what are you doing here?"
"Oh! Ummmmmm. I wanted to see you?"
Blaze looks at her unamused.
"What's the actual reason?" Blaze Interrogates.
"No actual reason, sorry, I'm just here"
Blaze sighs "Fine, you're lucky my mom and my sister like you so much."
"Yeah, I know, I'm so fortunate"
"Speaking of which, the actual reason is so you can see my sister, right?"
"... What gave it away?"
"Do you actually want me to answer that?"
"Preferably No, but I am interested in your opinion on the matter"
"I'll keep that in mind, thanks."
"Anytime! So what are we having for dinner tonight? Knowing you mom she probably got something good"
"It's Some Chicken, knowing my mom she probably made extra for you though."
"She's such a lovely women... maybe I should help her by offering my hand in marriage to her daughter..."
"Funny, she would probably let you."
"REALLY?" Blaze recoils again
"Stop yelling. But Honestly? Probably. But don't try it. At least not yet. Neither of you are old enough."
"You're no fun..."
"Cry me a river."
"No"
Blaze snickers
"Yeah okay lover girl, I'll go ask my mom if you can come and stay for some dinner."
Blaze walks down the steps. She goes into the kitchen where her mother is prepping dinner. She walks in and sit down at the counter. She coughs to get her mom's attention. She's not one for abruptly interrupting. Nerves.
"Oh Blaze! How are you sweetie?"
"Good, Mom. Can Marine stay for dinner?"
"Oh dear, do you even have to ask at this point?"
"She said the same thing."
"Wait, I didn't see her coming through the door Did she call you?"
"No, She came through the window."
"Oh! Right! I forgot she does that sometimes. You should try to get her to stop doing that. People might become concerned."
"Trust me, I've tried. She won't."
"Hey Blaze's and Cream's mom!" Suddenly Marine Appears
"Hello Marine! How are you doing? Also please just call me Vanilla or Ms.Rabbit, you make me feel old with that title."
"Fine 'Ms.Rabbit'... I'm doing well."
"So you're staying for dinner, as I've heard?"
"That is Correct"
"Alright, I already prepared extra. Make sure to wash your hands before we eat. Both of you."
"Mom, I always wash my hands."
"I know! Just making sure."
Blaze turns on the sink letting the warm water flow on her and marine as they take turns washing their hands, preparing for dinner. Marine sits on the sink next to her washing her hands.
"Your mom is so nice"
They switch but Blaze just stands next to Marine and dries her hands.
"I know."
They wash and dry their hands. Finish in time for dinner and go down the stairs. Where Cream and Vanilla are waiting for them. They sit down in their chairs. The others smile at them. Blaze and Marine smile back.
"Hey Marine." Cream says and smiles at her
"HI CREAM!" Marine blurts out
'They're so hopeless' Blaze Thinks to herself
"So Marine, have your parents planned for school yet?" Vanilla ask Marine, who gets nervous when asked the question.
"Um... Well..."
"Yes?"
"They haven't really done much but to be fa-"
"No need to make excuses sweetie. Your parents are just busy. Like they always are, like you always say." A moment of Silence occurs
"Ms. rabbit it's fi-"
"Yes, yes, yes, I'm aware. Just tell us if you need anything and I mean anything. Please just tell us. We will be happy to help!"
"Thank you"
The rest of dinner went well. Good time had by all. But now everyone goes to rest.
"Bye Marine!" Cream yells after her
"See you later" Blaze says
"Bye marine, be safe!" Vanilla says
"Bye everyone, thank you Ms. Rabbit for dinner, it was great"
"Your welcome, anytime"
"Bye Marine!" Cream's absolutely obsessed with her, Blaze holds back a laugh
Marine left the home to go back to her house. Leaving the Rabbit family to themselves. Blaze decides to break the silence:
"You two are so hopeless"
"Hey! We are not! Mom! Tell Blaze to stop being mean!"
"Blaze stop poking fun at your sister's obvious crush."
"Mom!"
They stay up for a few more hours but then they go upstairs and do normal nighttime chores. Brushing teeth, Taking showers, and putting themselves to bed and (trying) going to sleep.
"Goodnight Girls!"
"Goodnight Mom!"
Vanilla closes the door to Blaze and Cream's room. Once it felt quite enough Cream turned to Blaze. Shuffling to see her trying to sleep but not asleep yet. She just wanted one more thing. A simple thing. Some girl talk.
Pssst! Blaze!* She whisper-shouted
"Yeah, what? I'm trying to sleep." that last part was muffled, Cream pretended she didn't hear it
"Are you excited for school?"
"Not as much as you are. You big nerd." Blaze teases
"Hey! I only like it because of Marine."
"Hopeless."
"Shut up!"
Blaze snickers to herself while cream complains and throws meaningless insults at her.
"Whatever, so are you excited or not?"
"Eh, not really. Just another year of school."
"Fine. Fair enough I guess. But you could at least try to enjoy it for once."
"Sure, that's a thought."
"Well, you think about that. You might enjoy it."
"Welp that was definitely a conversation, Goodnight Cream."
"Fine, Goodnight Blaze, sweet dreams!"
"You become more like mom everyday."
Cream opened her mouth to respond but kept to shut, deciding to just keep glaring at Blaze. But she eventually turns back and so does Blaze. Trying to actually get to sleep this time.
They both fell asleep in due time. Tired and waiting for the new day to come. Easy enough. Except when it's time to wake up...
