As they walked into the stadium, Sonia led Y/N to the suite Leon was waiting for them in. He had been at the stadium for a couple hours already, dealing with interviews and what not, and finally had the time to step away and relax.
"We're here!" Sonia exclaimed, as the girls walked into the suite and saw Leon and Hop.
Leon looked at the two and greeted them, then felt his heart grow heavy as he locked eyes with Y/N. She tried to ignore it, and set her things down as she went up to talk to Hop.
"You excited for today?" she asked him.
"Very." he smiled. "I hope Marnie does well."
"I'm sure she will! But hey," she started, "you never told me what happened yesterday after Camilla came and got me."
"Oh, that..." he blushed. "Well, I know it was an accident, but Marnie said she loved me and I said it back."
"HOP!" Y/N squealed, getting the attention of the others, "You guys are just the absolute cutest!"
"Y/N, stop!" he laughed from embarrassment.
"Fine, fine. I won't bring it up again." she teased.
It made her so happy that not one, but both of her best friends were happy and in love, and with each other. What were the chances of that?
Hop had been her best friend ever since she moved to Galar, and she and Marnie grew extremely close over their journey together. Now, they were all about to face off with each other to see who could beat Leon and try to become to next Champion. That is, if they won their gym battles.
As they waited for Marnie to come out, they watched as Ninetales and Dubwool chased each other around the room, with Yamper following. It had been a great day so far, despite the tension between Leon and Y/N, and all they needed now was for Marnie to get her eighth gym badge.
Soon enough, she emerged from the tunnel, and met with Raihan in the middle of the field. They shook hands, took the pitch, and the battle begun.

Marnie and Raihan were on their last two pokémon, both in their Gigantimax'd forms. Grimmsnarl and Duraludon were facing off, and with one last attack, Grimmsnarl came out victorious.
The crowd, which consisted of a big majority of Team Yell, cheered for Marnie as she got her eighth and last win in the gym challenge. She would now stand by Y/N in the Champion Cup. All they needed was for Hop to win, and he was up next.
He and Y/N decided to go the lobby to meet up with Marnie, as Leon and Sonia waited in the suite. Leon watched the two challengers run off together, and couldn't help but smile which seemed to irritate Sonia.
"So, have you talked to Y/N lately?" Sonia questioned him.
His smiled quickly faded, as he was surprised by her question.
"Uh, no? Why would you ask that?" he replied back, not knowing what her response would be.
"Oh, I dunno." she sarcastically said, "Just thought it was a little strange how you said you're over her and want to be with me, but you can't stop looking at her."
"Sonia..." he sighed. "I do want to be with you. Just to be honest, my feelings for her aren't completely gone. But you have nothing to worry about."
Leon gave her a forced smile, and put his arm around her. She exhaled, and tried to relax but was still obviously on edge.
"Well, she's all about Raihan. Like, big time." Sonia added, which only irritated Leon. "They're like, in love and all that. She seems to be pretty crazy about him from what I can tell. She couldn't shut up about him this morning." she laughed, as he held his breath to stop him from saying something he'd regret.
In reality, Y/N only spoke about Raihan to Sonia when asked about it. She didn't completely trust her and didn't want to give her too much information, especially when she knew it would only get back to Leon.
"I got it, Sonia." Leon exhaled, trying to steady his breath as he was forcing himself to stay calm.
"Just saying." she sang, as she pulled out her phone and started to scroll on pokégram.
As Hop and Y/N reached the lobby to wait for Marnie, they ran into someone they didn't expect to see.
"Piers?" Hop questioned.
"What's up, Hop?" Piers greeted, emotionless.
"What are you doing here?"
"Came to watch my little sis win. She's on to the big leagues now, I guess." he chuckled, as Hop and Y/N sweat dropped.
Before they had a chance to respond, Marnie came out and was bombarded by Team Yell members.
"G-Guys, I appreciate you comin' but I need some space." she panicked, as they were accidentally trapping her in their huddle.
"Move." Piers demanded, as the crowd dispersed.
"Hey big bro! Didn't think you'd make it." Marnie sighed, as he went up to her and gave her a side hug.
"You know I wouldn't miss your last match."
Once Marnie pulled away from him, she ran up to Hop and Y/N and wrapped her arms around both of their shoulders.
"Congrats Marnie! You looked awesome out there!" Y/N exclaimed.
"I am so proud of you, Marnie!" Hop praised, as her face turned red.
"Thank you, guys." she murmured. "I'm sorry about having to beat Raihan, Y/N..."
"It's okay, Marnie!" she reassured. "I know he's just as happy for you as we are."
Marnie almost smiled, but stopped as the receptionist called out for Hop.
"Challenger Hop? They're ready for you."
"Well, here I go." he sweat dropped, as the others wished him good luck.
Y/N wanted to try and see Raihan before his match against Hop, but he still had two other challengers after to face off against today, so there unfortunately wasn't time. Then she, Marnie, and Piers made their way back to the suite.
"I watched your battle yesterday, Y/N." Piers snickered. "Must have been hard to beat your boyfriend."
"It was hard," Y/N started, "he's the only gym leader who actually put up a fight." she teased, as his face went white.
Y/N and Marnie giggled as they opened the suite door, and walked in on Leon and Sonia kissing. As Y/N's face turned sour, the two looked up at them and Leon apologized.
"Looks like we're interrupting something, eh?" Piers sneered, as Sonia rolled her eyes.
"Shut up, Piers." she jabbed, as he laughed.
"Remind us to knock next time."
"Hey guys..." Leon chimed in, trying to change the subject, "Congrats on your win Marnie. Did Hop already go back?"
"Yep. They called him right away." she responded.
"Well, here's to hoping he wins."
The others agreed, and sat in preparation of his fight that was soon to come. Awkward silence fell upon the room, as Y/N and Leon sat on opposite sides of the room facing away from each other.
It didn't make her jealous to see him kissing Sonia, but more uncomfortable. Y/N knew he was doing it to get under her skin, and she had to let him know it wasn't working and didn't bother her.
To break the silence, Sonia spoke up to the group and said, "So, Nessa and I were talking, and we think that after Hops win, we should all go out to celebrate him, Y/N, and Marnie!"
It honestly didn't sound like a bad idea, Y/N had to admit. They had gone through a pretty challenging journey thus far, and it would be nice to relax and have a fun night out, before their training for the Champion Cup began.
"That does sound like it would be fun, Sonia." Y/N told her. "I'm down!"
"Me too..." Marnie mumbled.
"Eh, guess I can make the time for it." Piers shrugged.
"YAY!" Sonia cheered. "We can go tomorrow night. I'll tell Nessa and Milo, and you'll mention it to Raihan, won't you Y/N?"
"Sure, I'll tell him tonight. I'm sure he'd love to come." she smiled.
As long as they didn't have a repeat of the last time they went out, they would have a fun night. It was already Thursday, and the Champion Cup Tournament was set to begin the following Monday in a week and a half. Those who made it this far were given a week long break to relax, train, or do whatever they please.
Raihan had four challengers total today, so Y/N knew he would be exhausted by the time he was done. The following day he'd only have two to challenge, not including anyone who could potentially lose today.
Yet, she knew he would still enjoy having a night off and going out in town with his friends so she was looking forward to it.
"Look, there goes Hop!" Y/N exclaimed, as he and Raihan stepped out onto the field.
The group cheered for him, and as he looked up at them in the suite, he felt confident and knew he was ready to win. As they threw out their first pokémon, the battle begun.

This match was a lot closer than Marnies, and came down to the last attack. As the stadium filled with smoke from the backfire, what came next was waiting to see who's partner was left standing.
Once the field was clear, there laid Duraludon, fainted. The stadium cheered for Hop, as did his friends and big brother. Y/N, Marnie, and Hop had made it. This definitely called for a celebration.
Y/N and Marnie both hugged each other, before getting their things and heading to the lobby to meet up with Hop. The others slowly followed, as they weren't in a rush. Once the girls made their way out of the suite, they patiently waited for Hop to emerge from the locker room.
To their surprise, they saw Hop and Raihan walking out together. Hop ran up to his friends and hugged them both, then pulled back and gave Marnie a kiss. Her face became red hot, and she was honestly relieved to know that Piers hadn't made it to the lobby just yet.
Wanting to give her friends some privacy, Y/N walked over to Raihan and wrapped her arms around his neck. He pulled her in tight, and embraced her body against his. As she let go of him, he tilted her chin up and gave her a kiss. Trainers, fans, and especially reporters all around took pictures and made many comments about them.
"They're so cute!"
"Look, it's Gym Leader Raihan and his girlfriend!"
"They're actually dating?! UGH."
They ignored the comments as they went up to regroup with Hop and Marnie, who were now standing with Leon, Sonia, and Piers. Raihan led them into a secluded area, so they could get some space from all the crazy fans.
"Congrats on your win, little brother." Leon said, while ruffling Hops hair. "Looks like you might have a chance at battling me after all."
"You know it!" Hop exclaimed, while throwing his fist in the air. "I just can't believe we all made it!"
As the group was talking, Y/N pulled Raihan to the side to talk with him privately, before he had to head back to work.
"I've missed you today." she told him, as he flashed her a toothy smile.
"I've missed you too, sweetheart." he leaned down and kissed her forehead. "I have a couple more challengers today, so I might be here a while. You should go and celebrate with your friends."
"You sure?" she asked.
She did want to go spend time with their friends and celebrate, even though that was mainly planned for tomorrow night, but she didn't want him to think she wasn't there to support him as well.
"Of course. I'll see you tonight, right?"
"Yes you will." she smiled and leaned up to kiss his lips. "I'll be waiting for you in bed." she teased.
"I see." he started to tense up. "Now how am I supposed to focus the rest of the day knowing I'll get to come home to that?"
"You'll figure it out." she winked, as she gave him a kiss on his cheek then nose.
As they continued talking, what they didn't notice was Leon, staring at them from across the room. It was hard for him to stand there and watch Raihan get everything he wanted, so he decided to leave.
"Sonia, you ready?" Leon asked, as she was mid conversation with Hop and Marnie.
"Wait, already?" she questioned. "I figured we'd all go get food to celebrate Hop and Marnies wins today?"
Y/N and Raihan now rejoined the group, and were listening for Leon's response as his face became red.
"Oh, I thought we were celebrating tomorrow night? I wanted to take you out to dinner tonight." he told her.
"Really?!" she giggled. "Okay!"
"What's tomorrow night?" Raihan asked Y/N.
"I'll tell you later." she whispered in response.
As silence fell upon the room, Sebastian walked up to the group to get Raihan from his break.
"Looks like I have to go back." he sighed. "Congrats again on the wins today, you two, and I'll see you at home, love."
"See you then." she smiled while giving him a quick peck on the lips before he walked away. "I'll bring you some food home so you'll have dinner waiting for you."
"You're the best. I love you." Raihan exhaled.
"I love you too!" she giggled.
Leon clenched his fists, and left the stadium to go get some fresh air, with Sonia following. It was almost as if they were rubbing it in his face, and he couldn't stand it anymore. He needed to get over Y/N, and fast. So, he decided to put all his free time into Sonia.
"So, uh, you bout ready to go?" Piers muttered.
They agreed, and made their way out of the stadium. First, making a stop to the pokémon center to heal up their teams, then to the Hammerlocke Hotel. Y/N and Piers followed them there, as they didn't need to go home and change.
Once they got to the hotel, they walked right through the lobby and straight into the elevator.
"Are you not staying here tonight, Piers?" Marnie asked.
"Nah, figured I'd stay with Raihan and Y/N." he smirked.
"Does Raihan know about this?" Y/N awkwardly laughed.
"Well, no. But it's never been a problem before so why would it be now?"
"Eh, fair enough." she shrugged.
As they arrived at the room Hop and Marnie were staying in, they walked in to see their things spread out over the room, and a king size bed in the middle. Piers let out a loud sigh, and sat on the couch while turning the tv on.
Marnies face grew red, as she wasn't expecting him to accompany them to their private room. She ran into the bathroom to shower and get ready, while Hop and Y/N sat next to Piers and joined in on the show.
"Hop." Piers said.
"What's up, Piers?" he asked.
"All I have to say, and I'm only going to say this once, but you better not hurt my sister." Piers threatened.
"I wouldn't dream of it." Hop smiled. "I love your sister, and would never do anything to hurt her."
Piers let out a huff, and nodded. The three sat in silence while waiting for Marnie to finish in the bathroom. Once she was done, she came out while Hop slipped in, flashing her an uneasy look.
"What in the world did you say to him?" Marnie scoffed at her brother.
"Oh, nothing." Piers pestered. "Isn't that right, Y/N?"
Y/N's eyes grew wide at the sound at her name being mentioned.
"Don't bring me into this." she laughed, as he rolled her eyes.
Thankfully, Hop didn't take too long to get ready, and came out of the bathroom dressed and ready to go. The four of them made their way out of the hotel and into town.
They went to a local restaurant coincidentally near Raihan's apartment, and walked in to see none other than Leon and Sonia sitting at a table together, laughing and holding hands.
"Should we go somewhere else?" Y/N sweat dropped.
"Nonsense!" Piers jeered, as he grabbed her hand and led the four of them in.
As they walked up to the host, they were quickly sat due to their status, then walked right past Leon and Sonia and were sat at a table across the room from them.
'Oh boy...' Y/N thought, ready for their meal to be done with.
Raihan had texted Y/N that he was done with his challengers for the day, and thankfully came out with two wins. She was happy for him, and invited him to dinner but he unfortunately had a few things to do around the stadium, and would just meet her at the apartment. She understood, and 'forgot' to mention Piers would be staying with them; she didn't want to get into the middle of things.
As the four of them ate dinner, they discussed their training plans for the next day and week, and decided they would spend the majority of the day tomorrow training in the wild area, and the following week making their way to Wyndon and training there; as Wyndon was the city the Champion Cup Tournament would be held in. Since Y/N and Marnie had only been there once they wanted to become familiar with the city.
To their surprise, Leon and Sonia acted like they didn't even know them. It upset Hop to see his brother acting like this, but he tried to brush it off and act like it was nothing.
Once both parties finished their meals, they paid, and made their way out. Leon and Sonia took off on Charizard, as Hop and Marnie went to the hotel, leaving Piers and Y/N alone.
"Ready to go home?" he teased, as she rolled her eyes.
"Fine." she sighed. "But you're carrying Raihan's food."
The two walked through town in silence, until
they arrived at Raihan's place. Y/N used her key to unlock the door, and tried to ignore an impressed Piers as he joked about her having her own key.
Once they went inside, Y/N called out a few of her partners, causing Piers to back off with the jokes. She set the food in the fridge, and put all of her shopping bags from that morning in the bedroom. Her arms felt like noodles after carrying them around all day.
Piers on the other hand, decided to make himself comfortable on the couch and put on a movie.
"Care to join me?" he joked, as she shook her head.
"No, Piers. I'm going to shower. And enough of the jokes." she snapped, as he put his hands up in defense.
"Woah, didn't mean to ruffle your feathers. Sorry there, Princess." he chuckled, as she stormed into the bathroom and slammed the door.
She knew Piers was harmless and was just trying to get under her skin, but she was tired from the day and just wanted to spend her night with Raihan.
He had already texted her he was on his way, and would be there soon. She smiled as she put her phone down, and hopped in the shower.

Raihan walked into his apartment after a long, tiring day to see Piers sprawled out on his couch watching a movie.
As he set his keys down, he looked around for Y/N, then locked eyes with Piers in confusion.
"Piers? What are you doing here?" Raihan confusingly asked.
"I needed a place to stay, and your girlfriend said she wanted me to stay here with he- I mean, you." Piers snickered, unknowing that Y/N was at the door listening.
"Okay, that is IT." she shouted, as she came out of the bathroom in a towel. "He invited himself. And has been pissing me off all night."
"It's okay, Princess, you can tell him the trut-" Piers was saying, but was cut off as Y/N stormed up to him only to be held back by Raihan.
"Piers, quit being an ass and go upstairs to the guest room." Raihan ordered, as Piers laughed then complied.
"You okay, sweetheart?" Raihan asked, trying to hold back a smile.
"Ugh. I'm okay now that you're here." she sighed, while falling into his arms.
"I know you didn't invite him here. He's just messing around." Raihan chuckled, as Y/N pulled back and playfully pushed him.
"It's not funny." she pouted, as he pulled her in again.
"No no, you're right, my love. I'll talk to him." Raihan smiled, as she couldn't see because his head was over hers.
"Thank you, Rai." she exhaled, relieved. "Your food is in the fridge, I'm going to go get dressed."
Raihan let go, and thanked her as he ran into the kitchen. By the time Y/N went to the room, got dressed, brushed her hair and teeth, Raihan was done eating and joining her in.
"That was fast." she chuckled, as he sighed.
"I've had a long day, and was starving..." he sweat dropped.
"Well, you're home with me now." she smiled, as he instantly felt relaxed.
"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."
Raihan went up to her and kissed her cheek, before going into the bathroom to take a quick shower. Once he was done and dressed, only in his boxers, he went out to join Y/N in bed. As she was sitting up against the head board scrolling on her pokégram, he collapsed on her lap from exhaustion.
Y/N chuckled, and began playing with his hair and rubbing his back. He sighed from pleasure, and began to doze off. She was glad she was able to help him relax, and knew he needed his sleep.
While back on her phone, she decided to post a picture of her, Hop and Marnie showing off their now completed gym badge ring, followed by a picture of her and Raihan that showed him kissing her cheek. They were now official on her social media, and she felt extremely content with the way her life was going. What could possibly go wrong?

The next morning, Raihan's phone went off early as usual, and he groggily got up to get ready for the day. While going into the bathroom to shower, Y/N got up too, and went into the kitchen to make breakfast.
She quickly whipped up his favorite meal with a side of coffee, and he came out of the bedroom into the kitchen in surprise. His eyes grew wide, and a smile quickly formed on his face.
"You didn't have to do this." he smiled, looking at her in awe.
"Well, good morning to you too." she giggled. "And I know, but I wanted to."
He went over to her and took her in his arms, and spun her around the kitchen. She laughed, and was set down gently while receiving a kiss on her forehead from him. He checked his phone and knew he had to leave soon, but stopped in his tracks after getting a notification of a tagged picture.
"What's this?" he asked, while pulling up the post Y/N shared last night. "So now we're officially official, huh?" he teased.
"Guess so." she giggled, as he snapped a candid picture of her finishing up breakfast. "Oh, stop it!" she sarcastically complained, as she shook her head.
"Now everyone can see how beautiful you look." he complimented, as he kissed her cheek and took his now full plate of food to the kitchen table.
As the two ate breakfast, Raihan didn't look up from his phone the entire time. It bothered Y/N at first, unsure of what he was doing, until her phone vibrated and he looked at her to see her reaction.
Once she held her phone up, Raihan had posted a few different pictures of her, and them together, congratulating her on her win against him and how proud he was of her. He had posted pictures of her before, but nothing like this. Her eyes filled with happy tears, and she jumped into his arms to thank him.
While hugging her back, he sighed as he needed to go and head to the stadium to prepare for his matches today. Thankfully he only had two left, then they could get ready for a fun night out on the town. The two kissed goodbye, and he made his way out.
As Y/N was cleaning up the kitchen, Piers walked down the stairs and stopped as she locked eyes with him. He stopped in place, as he was kind of scared of the daggers she was throwing his way.
"Good Morning." he sighed, as she looked away.
"Morning." she snapped.
"I'll behave today, don't worry." he groaned, "Raihan sent me a long message about it this morning."
"Fine." she sighed. "In that case..." she pulled the leftover breakfast out, and offered him a plate.
"Wow, thanks beauti-" he stopped himself before saying anything else.
"Mhm." she rolled her eyes, and went to go change into some casual wear to get ready for her day of training.
Once she was ready to go, she threw her hair up in a messy bun and pulled a couple pieces out in the front. She grabbed her bag, and she and Ninetales stopped at the door before walking out.
"You coming?" she shouted to Piers.
"Sure." he sighed, unenthusiastically.
She chuckled, and she and Piers made their way out of the apartment to head to the wild area to train with Hop and Marnie. Once they got there, Marnie was surprised to see her brother, but shook it off, as he could give the three of them quite a few tips on their upcoming battles in the tournament.

After a few hours had gone by, the three friends were all exhausted from training, while Piers noted they should probably take a break.
"Think that's enough for today?" Y/N asked. "I want us all to be rested for tonight."
"Yeah, we can stop." Hop replied, still out of breath.
"Here, you guys head back to the apartment and I'll pick up a pizza." Piers offered, as their eyes lit up at the sound of food.
They agreed, and followed Y/N's lead as she led them to Raihan's place. Once they walked in, Hop and Marnie were in awe at how nice his place was; it was the same reaction that had when walking into Leon's apartment.
Y/N texted Raihan an update on her day, and he quickly responded letting her know he would be home soon, as he was done with the gym challenges for the season.
In celebration of his two wins that day, he was going to be treating all of his trainers to lunch. Y/N was invited, of course, but told him what her current lunch plans were and that she'd see him when he got home.
Soon enough, Piers returned with the pizzas and they all scarfed them down til their bellies were full. They still had a few hours before meeting at one of the local clubs with the others, so Hop and Marnie headed back to their hotel to nap and get ready for the night.
Piers remained on the couch, finishing his meal as Y/N went to go shower. She washed away the dirt and sweat from a hard day of training, and came out of the bathroom to get straight into bed. After setting an alarm, she quickly fell asleep.
About an hour later, Raihan came home and once again, walked into Piers on his couch with smug look.
"Piers." Raihan greeted. "Where's Y/N?"
"Hey, Dragon Tamer." he joked. "I think she's asleep, she hasn't came out in a while."
Raihan went to the bedroom and cracked open the door to find Y/N passed out with Ninetales and Luxray on each side of her. The fire type didn't worry him, as she loved him just as much as her trainer did, but he and the electric type still had some hostility, and he quietly closed the door as Luxray cracked open and eye and looked at him.
"Yeah, I'll just wait til she's awake." he sweat dropped.
Not wanting to bother her, he went upstairs to shower, and came back to watch tv with Piers when he was done. As he started to doze off on the couch, he awoke to the sound of Y/N's alarm going off.
He got up and walked into the bedroom to see her, half awake, but sitting up in bed smiling at him. She held her arms out to welcome him he me, and he went over and laid down with her.
"Congrats on your wins, Rai." she praised.
"Thank you, sweetheart. Hard to believe the season is almost over, and we might even get a new champion."
"You mean we will get a new champion." she teased.
"Yes, of course." he kissed her cheek, then she got out of bed to get ready.
They had a couple of hours before going to meet up with the others, so Y/N decided to do her hair and make up. She curled her hair and pulled half back, while leaving two pieces out in the front. For makeup, she did winged eye liner and a natural face combined with a red lip.
The club they were going to was kind of fancy, and she wanted to look good. Especially since this was technically her first social event with Raihan as a couple.
After slipping into a tight black, backless dress with a slit up the leg, she put her heels on and was ready to go. Raihan and Piers were already dressed, and had just been waiting on her.
She came out of the bedroom, and both of their jaws dropped. Raihan slapped Piers upside the head, and he apologized, looking away.
Y/N laughed, and walked up to the boys while grabbing Raihan's hand.
"You two ready to go?" she asked, and they nodded.
Then, they made their way out of the apartment and into town. to head to the club to go and celebrate Y/N, Hop, and Marnie's accomplishments with their friends and eachother, and have an amazing night.
