He adored every single minute of the day he got to see her whether it was waking up in the morning, or heading to bed at night. Or maybe, she just plopping herself onto the bed in the afternoon, ready to take a nap.

But mornings were often sacred to him, remembering he couldn't enjoy the mornings back then. They always had to walk about in the night, and it was something worth waking up for, trying to get the most out of something they couldn't do before.

He chuckled slightly, at the way she sat on their shared bed. Her hair was in a mess, eyes were still tightly shut as she randomly made grabbing motions, trying to get him to come back to her side. He adored this side of her, adorable was what he thought.

He walked back to the bed, within her reach and she let out a sigh as she wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her head against the side of his body. His fingers ran through her locks, causing her to hum in satisfaction, about to drift off to slumberland again.

"Would you like to head out for a date?" he asked, the way she protested as she buried herself deeper against his side. Hesitant to leave the comfort of the bed on a weekend, when she just wanted to lay in bed all day.

"Do we have to leave the apartment?"

"That depends. We could go to the musical you have been wanting to see, or we could head to the new cafe that you were talking about with the girls. Or would you like to visit your grandmother?" he laid out the plans he had in mind.

She lifted her head at the mentions of the things she wanted or would love to do, the tiredness in her eyes remained but the wide smile on her face was seen, which warmed his now-only heart, that belonged solely to her.

"You seem keen on leaving the bed," she pointed out, and he chuckled slightly. A side that she was allowed to see almost every day without fail. Though she wondered, why was he keen on leaving the apartment today.

"Let's do everything?" she asked and Muzan couldn't say no to her. Even though the thought of visiting her grandmother made him shiver. Digging his grave once again, but it was worth it to see the smile on her face.

A full day dedicated to one another, with a shared sense of joy, they set out to make every moment count. He was certain to make sure everything would be etched into the depths of their memory lane, like how it had been over hundreds of years.

He brewed a cup of her favourite beverage, the aroma filled the air, creating a comforting backdrop for the day ahead. He watched as she came out of the shared bedroom after having washed up, exchanging smiles as their eyes conveyed the anticipation of the memories awaiting them.

He listened as she was eagerly making a call, her smile blinding to him, where he would usually scowl at something that bright. But this time, all he could do was savour the moment as he took a sip of his morning coffee, watching the way she bounced on her feet as she excitedly informed her grandmother of her sudden visit.

"Why are you staring so much?" she asked after she had hung up the call, looking at him and wondering why was he in a daze. He shrugged his shoulders, red eyes remaining on the happy being before him.

"You are simply, divine," warmth radiating through her skin at the sweet words he spoke, a familiar sensation as her lips broke into a wide smile again, eyes closed as she felt the love he had for her once more.

And as always, the former demon lord, one whom most had feared their entire life, was a bundle of nervousness when it came to meeting the love of his life's grandmother. She found joy in taunting him once again, as he was hesitant to get into the driver's seat of the car he owned.

"Stop taunting me," he managed to get past his lips, getting into the driver's seat while she made herself comfortable in the passenger's. He reached over, pulling the seatbelt from her side and securing her safely.

Kissing her on the lips as always while he does it.

The ride was silent, which was considered the norm. Occasionally hearing her hum along the song that was being played, or she would enjoy the scenery outside of the window. From time to time, she would snap him out of his thoughts as he was in a daze for staring at her a tad bit too long.

Causing a commotion behind, cars honking them and profanities would be hurled.

The narrow roads that lead to their destination started to appear after a long distance, surrounded by lush greenery and traditional architecture. The familiarity of the road that would guide them to where she had spent her childhood. The anticipation in the car was palpable, with Muzan being nervous whereas all she could do was to look forward to hugging her grandmother.

Adorned with cherry blossom trees as how they remembered, her heart fluttered with excitement as the car engine hummed softly while Muzan parked. The tension was present once again, her grandmother was smiling while gripping the bamboo sword tightly.

"Grandma!" he managed to breathe a sigh of relief the moment [name] had managed to avert the attention of her grandmother. He wiped away the sweat formed on his forehead, while he watched the women before him bond once again.

"Darling!" and he was left alone, without a care in the word. He let out a sigh, shaking his head as he muttered to himself how this was karma for all he had done. The air was filled with the sounds of nature as they stepped into the open area surrounded by cherry blossom trees.

The sunlight filtered through the blossoms, creating a serene atmosphere.

No words were spoken to him as [name] disappeared from his sight, only to return after changing her clothes. He listened to the way her grandmother spoke, where the women were reliving their younger times.

When [name] was still under the guidance of her grandmother, being taught martial arts.

The lesson started with basic stances and footwork. [name]'s grandmother moved gracefully, her movements a testament to years of discipline and skill. She demonstrated the fluidity and precision of each technique, guiding [name] through the initial steps with a watchful eye.

He watched from the sidelines, beamed with pride as [name] was still as captivating as ever. Having listened to the compliments given by her grandmother, that her stance was still as perfect as ever, each swing was with the right force.

But he should have known better, that his life was never going to be easy.

"You have been watching for a while, it's your turn!" and it was hell for him indeed, while [name] stood by the sideline, giggling at the way he was looking at her for help while he was being forced to change out of the clothes he wore during the ride.

.
.

He was contented with the fact that they could be out and about on a date, dedicating the day to spending time together. He chuckled slightly while she pulled him along, the wide smile on her face remained as they were headed to their next destination which was closeby to where the theatre, which they would head over after they were done.

As they entered the cosy cafe, the soft chime of a bell announced their arrival. The interior was adorned with sliding paper doors, tatami mats, and elegant calligraphy, creating an authentic and serene ambience. They removed their shoes and slid open the door to a private tatami mat room, where a low wooden table awaited them.

"I'm surprised," Muzan commented, staring in awe at the beautiful interior of the cafe while [name] simply hummed in response, enjoying the fact that this place wasn't a letdown as most cafes were.

The cafe offered a variety of treats, and the couple decided to indulge in a traditional matcha tea ceremony experience. Even though it never made sense to Muzan about these ceremonies, the fact that she was eager to witness it, made him give in.

Seated across from each other, they admired the meticulous preparation of matcha by the skilled tea master. The vibrant green tea was whisked with precision, creating a frothy, jade-coloured elixir.

Their conversation flowed effortlessly as they sipped the rich matcha, the subtle bitterness harmonizing with the sweetness of shared laughter. The way her eyes sparkled as she enjoyed the moment they were having, while he stared at her with a genuine smile on his face, captivated by her animated expressions.

She continued to speak, talking about how she had found Doma locked in the janitor's room and the way he tried to hug her after she had let him out. To which she pointed out, that she should have left him behind and let the other teachers find him.

She spoke about the number of detentions that Gyutaro had due to sneaking off during school or coming late due to having to deal with Ume's reluctance to attend school. Which she often sighed at while Nakime informed her about it.

The ambience provided a perfect backdrop for the blossoming connection between them. To accompany their drink, they decided to try a selection of delicate traditional sweets, that were a visual delight indeed.

From resembling cherry blossoms, to seasonal motifs.

He chuckled, that she was eagerly taking photographs of their treats, sending them to the girls she hung out with whenever she could, and whenever he was drowning in paperwork. Although it would often end with him picking her up from wherever she was.

Marvelled at the artistry of the confections before savouring each bite, appreciating the balance of flavours and textures.

As the afternoon unfolded, the couple found themselves lost in the charm of the cafe. They exchanged gentle touches, lingering glances, and the occasional shared smile, the connection deepening with each passing moment.

The simplicity of the setting allowed for genuine conversation and an exploration of the rich cultural tapestry that surrounded them.

But throughout, he noticed something amiss.

"Why aren't you using that hand? You always use that hand," she froze for a moment, which he noticed as well. It caused an alarm to him as he reached out, grabbing hold of the hand that she recalled had given her problems before.

"I am," she insisted she was, showing him that she didn't have any problem with any of her hands. He frowned, the way she was persistent in showing him that she was fine, was throwing him off the line.

"Darling... Is there so-," he didn't get to finish his question as she had shoved one of the treats into his mouth. He was about to retaliate, narrowing his eyes but the way she was smiling as if nothing had happened.

It had somehow cast a spell on him, making him think he was just imagining things. While beneath the table, she was clenching that hand as hard as she could, trying to get it back to the way it used to be.

The sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow through the paper doors. They were contented by the shared experience they had, bidding farewell to the cosy cafe that they had rejuvenated in, stepping back into the slightly cold evening air, yet carrying the warmth of the cafe.

"Shall we go, m'lady?" he asked, and she couldn't help but melt into his embrace which he chuckled at. The musical was close by, in the theatre that was just two streets down. Something that she had been looking forward to, and he had to pull some strings to get some last-minute seats.

He had managed to get the tickets before today, but he had told himself, that if she didn't wish to leave the apartment, she wouldn't force him. He didn't care about money, he was more concerned about her happiness.

The theatre is adorned with traditional Japanese architectural elegance. The couple exchanged smiles, their anticipation palpable as they handed over their tickets and were escorted to their seats.

The inside of the theatre was a stunning blend of modern comfort and ancient charm. Rich red and gold adorned the walls, and the traditional wooden architecture whispered tales of centuries past. As the lights dimmed, a hush fell over the audience, and the soft strains of a shamisen floated through the air.

The stage came alive with vibrant colours and intricate costumes as the performers, skilled in the art of Kabuki, transported the audience to a world of samurai, geishas, and mythical creatures. The melodic sounds of taiko drums and traditional instruments filled the air, creating a captivating ambience that enveloped the theatre.

He stole glances at her, captivated not only by the performance but also by the sparkle in her eyes. The expressive movements of the actors, combined with the haunting melodies, created a mesmerizing atmosphere. As the drama unfolded on stage, they shared whispered comments and exchanged smiles, feeling the connection deepening between them.

"What if, back then, I was a demon slayer?" she asked in a whisper, something he didn't expect her to ask. He thought about it, the possibility of her becoming one, especially if she were to be found by her grandmother back then.

Would he have still loved her the same? Would he have killed her? It was often in his instinct to kill humans, especially demon slayers. But as he continued to think it through, causing her to giggle as the intermission started, she reached out and gently poked him on the forehead.

It caught his attention, causing him to realize that most of the audience had gotten up to head for a bathroom break, while he was in deep thoughts over a question that MIGHT have happened in the past.

"Let's go explore the lobby," she suggested, holding her hand out to him which he grabbed hold of without hesitation. The way her eyes sparkled with delight as they walked around, where often he had to steer her away from getting bumped due to the crowd.

Though there were a few people they had recognized amongst the crowd, greeting each other with courtesy. A few were his acquaintances whom he had known during his study days back when he was younger.

But the look on his face, she knew well that he didn't enjoy their company. Or the fact that he was currently stuck talking to one of them while on a date with her. She tilts her head to the side, before gently tugging on his arm and whispering into his ear, placing a hand against her stomach.

"I apologize. My wife isn't feeling too well. I will have to cut this conversation short," the way she laughed when she was dragged away, caused him to shake his head as he realized what was going on.

Where she lied to him just to get him out of the unfavourable situation he was in.

As the second act commenced the moment they settled down back to their designated seats, the theatre's atmosphere became even more enchanting. The performance reached its climax with a breathtaking display of skill and emotion.

The final bow of the actors brought thunderous applause from the audience, and they joined in, their hearts resonating with the beauty of the art they had witnessed. He caught a glance at the happiness etched on her face.

There were no regrets in spending time today with her. In dedicating the day to her happiness.

Exiting the theatre hand in hand, they strolled through the illuminated streets, their hearts beating together as one. The night was filled with magic, and it became a cherished memory in the story of their relationship.

A date to be remembered in their hearts.

He stood behind her as she looked ahead to the street that was illuminated by the street lamps, casting a beautiful glow as if serving as a guide to them. He unbuttoned his long coat, before wrapping her from behind, causing her to giggle slightly as she tilted her head up.

A kiss was planted on her forehead.

She raised an eyebrow as she stared at the whiteboard that was present in his home office, a smile on her face as she read the words on the board. He chuckled nervously, embarrassed that he had been caught.

But the effort he had put in for the date, was clear on the board. Where he had studied well enough, to know what he ought to wear, what to do and what to expect. It was as if he was being a mastermind once more.

However, it didn't matter now as the soft melody continued to play in the living room, causing him to pull her into a gentle dance the moment they left the home office. The twirls and sways reflected the unspoken connection between them, a dance of shared moments and many more to come.

With a tender smile, he led her to the balcony, where they could glimpse the city below. The night sky was adorned with stars, and the distant hum of the city created a soothing background melody.

In the quiet moments that followed, they found serenity in each other's company.

"I love you. I love you, so much," he whispered those words that only she could hear coming from him. He pulled her close against his body as he planted a heated kiss against her lips. He raised her left hand, bringing it up to his lips, planting a kiss on her ring finger.

"Soon," he whispered and pulled her in for another kiss.

A perfect conclusion to a day filled with shared experiences and affection. With hearts full and a sense of contentment, they embraced the quietude of their shared space, knowing that the love they had nurtured today would continue to blossom in the days and nights ahead.

"And even if you were a demon slayer, I can't kill you. I love you for who you are,"
