I sat in complete silence as Kyron paced back and forth in his living room. I didn't even know what to say. Shit, I couldn't say anything.

After seeing what I had just seen, I ain't think I would ever be the same. Just thinking about the details of what they did to that nigga made me wanna throw up.

But, I knew it was necessary, so I was trying not to trip too much.

The way Kyron was moving was making me nervous so I got up and grabbed his shirt so that he could look at me.

"Everything good," I tried to reassure him. The look that he was giving me told me he ain't believe a word I had said.

"That nigga knows about you," he said. "How is that shit cool?"

I didn't say anything. Then, he went right back to pacing. I didn't know why I was trying to be optimistic about the situation. I knew that I was more of a damn target now that Cig knew.

If I had just took extra precautions then this shit probably wouldn't be happening right now. I knew Cig enough to know that he wasn't gonna let this shit go.

After what he heard me say...it was no coming back from that. Then, I couldn't stop thinking about Tally. What the fuck was she gone say?

It was like I could picture her right now just looking at me with all types of judgement. I tried to push those thoughts out of my head but they just kept on coming.

So, I got up and went to hug Kyron. I knew physical contact would calm both of us down. When I touched him, it was like he had turned into a completely different person. Because I could make him feel better, it made me feel better.

He melted into the hug and just nuzzled my neck.

"Imma kill that Nigga if he touch you," he said to me so roughly that it probably would've scared me if I didn't know him the way that I did. "All of 'em."

I believed him and every word he had said.

But, then he said something that set me off.

"I'm about to get you outta Chicago."

"What?" I said, pulling away from him. "I'm not going nowhere."

"Man, yes the fuck you is," he said, like there was no room to argue. But, it definitely was. I was about to argue the fuck out of this man.

"Kyron!" I raised my voice so he could hear how serious I was about this. "We supposed to be in this shit together. I'm not scared of Cig ass, or any one of his clowns."

"Ant, you not understanding where I'm coming from. This Nigga finna go to war with us. This shit ain't no game, and I'm not finna argue with 'yo lil ass about it, either."

I was about to say something but he cut me off. "You going...end of discussion," he said with a shrug.

"Nope, I'm not," I shrugged too, which only made him even more mad. Then, almost like he knew shit was about to get real, the dude whose name I remembered to be clutch walked into the room.

Clutch eyed both me and Kyron before he finally focused all of his attention on him. "Ole dude passed out," he spoke.

Kyron looked at Clutch and then at me like he was considering something. Then, he said, "Wait til he wake up, 'den send Cig his fucking head," so bluntly.

I almost choked on my spit.

Clutch ain't look phased, so I tried my best to keep a straight mug. But, I knew they both could tell I was tripping on the inside.

"You came in at the right time, too," Kyron started to say. "I want you to take him to that new spot I got in Springfield ASAP."

I gave Kyron the most dirtiest look I could.

"Hell naw!" I yelled.

Kyron started rubbing his forehead like I was giving him a headache. This Nigga really had some audacity!

"If you gotta carry his ass then do it. I want him outta the city in a hour."

I looked at him like he was crazy. Then, I turned to Clutch who started walking towards me like he was actually about to put his hands on me.

"Nuh uh! Don't touch me!" I yelled at him. But, he didn't listen. He scooped me up like it wasn't a big deal and threw me over his shoulder. No matter how hard I kicked and screamed—his hold on me did not loosen.

"Kyron!"

"Imma call you boo!" I heard him call out to me.

All of the men laughed at me as we passed them. All I could do was stick my middle finger up at them.

The only thing that made me stop flapping like a fish out of water was what Clutch had said to everyone as we passed.

"Fish hook that nigga."

Then, my gaze fell on Dee. Clearly he hadn't been passed out for that long. His eyes found mine and he looked like he was about to ask me for help. My heart started doing flips and shit, almost like I was the one who was about to get fish hooked.

All of the men followed Clutch's order and grabbed Dee. He screamed, loud.

That had been the last time I heard him scream.

└──────┘

The whole ride to wherever we were going, I had sat in silence.

I was also giving Clutch, along with some other dude that came with us, my evil eye. They knew I was mad at them, but I also knew that they ain't give a fuck.

At least they followed orders, though.

"Where are we going?" I asked them for the millionth time. Clutch sighed dramatically like I was getting on his nerves so much. Then, the light skin boy whose name I still didn't know just shook his head.

"What? Y'all under strict orders or something that y'all can't even tell me where y'all taking me?"

"We taking you to da spot," the light skin one said to me.

"What is the spot?" I mocked him.

He side eyed me. "A house in Springfield."

"Y'all are starting to piss me off, for real," I rolled my eyes. Then, the light skin one started laughing.

"Did I say something funny?" I said, agitated now.

"Man, ion know how Ky deal with 'yo ass," he shook his head.

Ky? For him to be using nicknames for Kyron, they had to have known each other for a little minute. So, I asked what I had just started to wonder about. "How long ya'll been knowing Ky?"

The question was more so directed at Mr. Light-bright than Clutch, but Clutch answered first. "Only for about a year."

"Like four," Light-bright said after him.

"Four what?"

Light-bright scrunched up his face at me. "Years, Nigga. What else?"

"Four months...four weeks, four days" I said jokingly before shrugging my shoulders. "That's what, nigga."

Clutch chuckled darkly, but all Light-bright did was shake his head, his little baby locks shaking in sync with him. Out of boredom, I started to pick at my nails.

That's what I did when I was nervous. I wanted to be with Kyron, not away from him. The next time I seen him I was gone pop him in his lip for making me do this shit knowing damn well I wanted to be a part of everything.

It was like Clutch could read my mind because he said something that caught my attention.

"Don't even trip about that whole Kyron situation. He just making sure you good, dat's it. I'm sure he gone come get you when everything die down."

"Mm," I hummed, annoyed. "I can handle myself, though."

Light-bright, LB for short, laughed again.

"I must've said something funny cause 'yo giggly ass won't stop laughing. Please enlighten a bitch," I urged.

"Yo small ass can't handle nun," he said then.

I opened my mouth to retort something smart, but then my phone started to ring. I reached into my pocket to see who it was. Tally's name lit up my screen, and I could've sworn I almost passed the fuck out.

I didn't wanna answer, but I needed to know what was going on, on her end at least. I leaned back in my seat and pressed the answer button hesitantly.

Then, I opened the message app.

Anthony: don't talk just text...

Tally: Cig told me what was up...you frl rn? After all the shit he did for you???

Anthony: bitch did he tell you wtf he did?

Tally: yea...he shot your dad and I'm sorry about that but what you expect? The Nigga stole from him.

Anthony: girl why are you siding with him? Did he also tell you that he sent Dee to steal from me? I hope Kyron already sent over his fucking head!

Tally: what??? Awe hell naw! Wtf Kyron do?! Do you know what Cig about to do?

Anthony: idc what he about to do. All I know is that Kyron gone be good. Cig played out and yk it.

Tally: watch your mouth...I should've known it was sum slick about you. You been acting weird lately. I just ain't know why...ts sad frl. I can't stop what's gone happen now that Cig know wtf you been planning...with KYRON of all people too. This might be the last time I can talk to u..

I was pissed the fuck off. At this point I didn't care to try to save what little friendship we probably still could've had. I couldn't trust her, and it was dumb of me to even answer or text her. But, I let my feelings get in the way.

As much as it hurt, I couldn't associate myself with her anymore.

Anthony: girl fuck you and him. For you to still be on his side is crazy.

Then, I turned off my phone.

I thought back to what Nicolas had told me—that I should help Kyron with whatever he needed. If Tally became a problem, which I knew she would, then I was gone have to handle her.

└──────┘

When they said it was called 'the spot' I expected something way smaller and raggedy. But, wasn't shit raggedy about this house.

It wasn't as big as Cig and definitely not Nicolas' place, but it was spacious nonetheless. I hopped out of the car as fast as I could and walked to the door with my two minions trailing behind me.

I stepped out of the way to let Clutch unlock the door. When he did, all I could do was smile at how nice it was. I gave myself a tour. It had five rooms and six bathrooms.

The living room was big as fuck, with everything you could think of decorating the shelves and the walls. The thing that stuck out to me the most though had to be the big ass T.V mounted on the wall.

That was something I was gone have fun with later.

"Before you get comfortable, Kyron wanted me to show you something," Clutch had told me.

"What?" I asked him.

"Just follow me."

I did just that.

He led me down the long halls that led to a room all the way in the back of the house. I watched as he dug into his pocket and took out another set of keys that he used to unlock the door.

There was a table that was in the back of the room, but the shit that stuck out the most were the pounds of drugs that sat prettily on top of it. It looked like Christmas up in here.

"This is all Kyron's?" I asked him. That had been a dumb question. Of course it was his, but something inside of me didn't wanna believe that he had this much product.

All he did was nod his head.

Then, a big black bag that was sitting underneath the table caught my eye.

"What's that?"

He just grabbed the bag and sat it on top of the table. Then, he unzipped it and I swear to god my heart fell out of my ass. It had to be over half a million dollars in the bag.

"Damn," I sighed gingerly.

"He said he want me to take you to get some new clothes and shit like that. It's a lil early in the morning right now, but if you want to I can just slide you to the Gucci store or something."

I didn't wear Gucci.

But shit, I could definitely start.

"Later," I told him.

He just shrugged his shoulders, nodded his head, and ushered me to follow him again.

He, took me to the room I guessed was the room Kyron was used to staying in. When I sat onto the bed, all I could do was just think.

I didn't know what to do. I was here by myself aside from these two other niggas, but I didn't wanna be around them.

I wanted to be plotting with my nigga about a specific problem that I wanted solved. I couldn't stop thinking about Cig.

I wanted to know exactly what that Nigga was planning.
