"how was your sleepover?" richie asked as mike made his way to his room
"why do you care?" he scoffed
"can i not ask? jesus," richie muttered
"it was alright, but," mike paused at his doorway, "will dropped the biggest lie."
"oh yeah?" richie cocked an eyebrow
"yeah, he said he was totally into you." mike shrugged and richie felt his cheeks heat up.
"oh."
"yeah, totally weird." richie rolled his eyes and both boys went into their rooms. richie leaned against his door and began muttering to himself. see, richie tozier has had a massive crush on will since 4th grade. before yesterday they hadn't really talked, mike made sure of that. apart from random eye contact and the occasional nod they've never communicated, but did will really like him? he decided to call stan.
"stan?"
"what."
"i have a problem." richie tapped his nightstand anxiously
"richie i don't have time to-"
"it's a boy problem," he groaned
"i'm listening." richie could hear stan's grin
"mike just told me that," he looked at his door in fear someone would open it, "that will might like me," he muttered into the phone and stan bursted out laughing
"you finally noticed?!"
"what?!"
"he's been stealing glances at you since middle school! and yesterday he asked if you and eds were dating." richie mentally face palmed
"dude..."
"for someone who supposedly gets sooo many 'bitches' you're clueless."
"oh bite me stan." he hung up on the boy but he knew deep down they were right. he was clueless, but he wasn't gonna let this boy slip past him.
richie changed out of his pajamas and went to the one person he didn't want to see today, "mike?" he called, knocking on his brother's door
"what do you want rich?" he asked finally opening his door
"do you know where will is?"
"why do you wanna know?" he asked almost disgusted
"i just wanted to hangout," he shrugged, stuffing his hands in his pockets
"check the library," mike answered. before richie could thank him, the door was slammed in his face.
mike: will!!

will: what??
mike: go to the library!
will: what?
will: whyyy
mike: richie's gonna meet you there
will: oh?
mike: i told him that u like him
will: what?? why??
mike: the plan
mike: duh
mike: go quickly!
mike: he took his bike
richie ran up the steps of the library after he locked his bike. he took a breath before walking in. he looked around every bookshelf, nook, and study room for will. he was about to cut his losses when he saw a familiar face in a beanbag.
"stan?" the curly haired boy looked up
"richie? you've never touched a book in your life, what are you doing here?" he scoffed
"my brother said will would be here," he kicked his foot in the carpet
"i haven't seen will." richie sat on the floor next to stan
"surprised bill's not with you," richie chuckled
"he was busy today," stan held the book closer to his face to shield his pink cheeks. before richie could respond he saw will at the corner of his eye leaving a study room. he looked sad.
"stan, i have to go." he quickly got up, barely hearing stan's goodbye. he raced after will and barely caught him, "will! hi." he boy turned to him smiling
