Chapter 18
Today is Saturday and I don't feel like moving. I just wanna stay here inside my room. My first and only thought, the moment I woke up was, how should I face Adriana?
It was pretty obvious that she didn't like what happened. And for her, it was just a pure mistake. Hindi man nito sinabi iyon ng direkta, but reading between the lines, I know exactly what she meant. I hate to admit it, but my thought kept drifting in and out of the most awkward things possible when we face each other today. I'm not ready to face her again.
Last night, when she said those harsh things to me, I was really quiet. I didn't talk to her and I had to pretend that I was so sleepy, so I went straight to my room. Halata rin naman na umiiwas siya dahil hindi rin niya ko pinansin. Siguro nga tama lang yun, para hindi na ko mag assume pa.
I closed my eyes again while forcing myself to sleep again, but before I can do that, may narinig na kong ingay sa may living room.
Since halos katapat lang naman ng living room yung kwarto ko, rinig na rinig ko yung mga boses nila. Napilitan akong lumabas nang makita kong may mga messages pala si Grayson at may mga missed calls pa. So kaya pala may tao sa labas ay pupunta pala sila dito kasama ang kuya nito.
I'd rather be with Adriana alone than to see Jackson. Hindi ko talaga sya feel makita lately. Naiirita ko sakanya for some reason.
Nang makalabas na ako ay sabay sabay na lumingon ang tatlo saakin. Napilitan akong ngumiti sakanila. Jackson looked hot with his black polo shirt. Grayson looked handsome as well wearing his plain white tee.
Well, as for Adriana, who looked like an angel with her off-shoulder white dress. Napaka ganda kahit halatang puyat ito. Kelan ba ito pumanget? Never. Ugh! Sobrang ganda lagi. Kahit yata ano pang isuot nito, babagay dito.
"Good morning" I greeted all of them.
"Good morning beautiful" Grayson greeted me with a kiss on my cheek. Wow ha? Jowa lang? I felt my cheeks reddened.
Napansin kong napapangiti si Grayson pati na rin ang kuya nito. While Adriana was just looking at Grayson. I couldn't read her expression as usual.
"Oh pa'no? Mauna na kami. You take care of Cara. Adriana will kill you if something bad happened to her" pagbibiro ni Jackson.
So may lakad pala ang dalawa?
Akala ko ba magpapasama itong magaling kong boss sakin?
Pero bakit si Jackson ang kasama nito ngayon? At bakit parang di ko alam na kami ni Grayson ang maiiwan?
Ano to?
This is not supposed to happen, knowing Adriana! Ayaw na ayaw nito na makasama ko si Grayson, pero bakit wala yata kong kalam alam, na may nabuong plan na pala without my knowledge? Seriously???
"T-teka, san kayo pupunta?" I was just asking Adriana, I didn't want to talk to Jackson. His presence irritates me for real.
"Babe time" natatawang sagot ni Grayson sa dalawa, dahilan upang tumingin ng masama si Adriana dito.
"Oops! Kidding"
"Shopping" maiksing sagot ni Adriana.
So? Magshoshopping pala ang dalawa. At kami lang ni Grayson ang maiiwan dito? Or are we going out somewhere?
Hahakbang na sana ang dalawa ng bigla akong nagsalita, without thinking.
"Wait..."
Napahinto ang dalawa. Napatingin sa'kin si Adriana
"Take care" I was just talking to her; I didn't mind about Jackson. Gusto ko lang itong mag ingat dahil hanggang ngayon, di pa rin ako nagtitiwala kay Jackson.
Kahit na alam ko naman na ginagawa naman nito ang best nito, to win Adriana back. Or probably he already won her back. Hindi lang ako aware.
She nodded and started walking away. Sumunod na rin dito si Jackson. Bali naiwan kami ni Grayson na nakatanaw sa dalawa.
"Uhmm" Grayson started a conversation with me. "How's your sleep?"
"Ayos lang"
He just nodded. He put his hand inside his pocket and looked down.
"Uhm, a-ano nga palang ginagawa mo rito?" I asked, forcing a smile. I'm no longer excited. Unlike before. Parang naeexcite ako tuwing makakasama ito.
Ngayon, parang tinatamad ako. I don't know why it felt so sudden. Last time I checked, I really liked this guy. Like I was so whipped. Like I always wanna say yes to him. And be with him. But now? I dunno.
"You don't seem so excited to see me" He pouted his lips and turn to me.
I smiled again, this time a smile that reached my eye. I dunno if I made it perfectly. Sometimes, it is really difficult to fake it.
"O-ofcourse, masaya ako. Kagigising ko lang kasi, alam mo na"
He reached for my forehead. Alam kasi nito na nagkasakit ako, kaso nag apologized ito through text, kasi nga hindi man lang ako nito napuntahan. Sobrang busy rin kasi nito sa hospital.
"Okay ka na ba?" He asked after moving his hands away.
"Okay naman na" I said slowly
"Uhm, ano kasi. I actually bought an outfit for you. You can fit check it later. Nasa car na. Dinala ko na siya"
"Uhm okay sige. Susukat ko na ngayon, para macheck if kasya ba"
"Sige kunin ko lang ha?"
I nodded and fixed my gaze on my feet. I felt guilty, he's really nice and sweet. And I feel like I am leading him on. To be honest, I dunno why I started to feel like he is just a friend to me. Nothing more nothing less.
Napaka gentleman nito at tanga nalang siguro yung babaeng aayaw dito. Hindi ko alam pero that feelings that I was feeling before was gradually fading.
He went out to get the dress, and I was just waiting for him. Sa totoo lang, naiinis ako sa sarili ko. I should do something. Hindi dapat ganito. Dapat excited ako tuwing makikita ito. Dapat masaya ako. Dapat gusto ko siyang makasama.
Kasi yun naman talaga yung gusto kong maramdaman towards him. Kasi it is more normal to like him, than to like a woman. A straight woman who doesn't even like me.
Naiinis na hinilamos ko yung kamay ko sa mukha ko. Puro nalang kasi si Adriana yung naiisip ko. Hindi nga kasi pwede!!
"Oh? Do you have a problem, Cara?" he seemed confused by the way he is looking at me. He is holding a paper bag with a signature brand.
"Uhm wala, may iniisip lang"
"Wag mo isipin yon. Mahal ka din nun" Natatawang biro nito, he was even blushing when he said that. Maybe he is assuming that I was thinking about him.
"Here's the gown I was telling you about. I'm pretty sure you'll look gorgeous sa party later" He changed the subject
Kinuha ko iyon at nagpasalamat.
"Sige isusukat ko lang"
I didn't wait for him to answer. I went inside my room to check the gown he was talking about. And yeah, he was right. It was stunning and perfect! Sobrang elegant tignan! It was a grayish blue gown. Grayish blue parang mata ni Adriana.
ERASE ERASE! Ano ba! Why is everything about her now?
Inilabas ko iyon at sinukat. Perfectly fit! Damn! Ang ganda!! Infairness, ang galing pumili ni Grayson.
Lumabas ako para macheck nito yung damit.
And yes! His eyes were now focused on me and I saw how his mouth wide open.
"Wow! You are gorgeous, Cara. You're like a goddess" As if he couldn't believe what he is seeing right now.
I fell silence for a few seconds. I don't know how to react to him.
"It suits you well" he added
"Thank you, Grayson"
"Uhm, do you wanna have a salon or something? Nail spa and-"
"Sure" I cut him off. Gusto ko rin naman na magmukhang maganda sa party. I'll just wear my facemask later to be sure na safe lumabas.
"Sige"
"Maliligo lang ako ng mabilis ha?" paalam ko rito. Hindi ko na sya hinintay makasagot, dumerecho na ko sa kwarto para makapaligo na agad.
I took a shower while thinking of the possible scenarios later at the party. Sometimes, overthinking is killing me.
Well, I am excited, yet nervous since there will be a lot of guests and I am just thinking of the possibility that someone might recognize me. I should really be careful this time.
Ang sarap lang maging normal ulit. Normal days doing what I like to do. Hindi yung nabubuhay ako sa takot. Sometimes, I just want my old self back.
Like I can go wherever I want without any pressure around me. Hindi nagwoworry kung may makakakita ba. I was even thinking of asking for help. Sa side ni mom, there are few friends I know, pero I dunno if I could trust them.
I want to report everything to the police but everything I say is just words against them, there is no evidence to prove that.
Sa pag iisip ko ay di ko namalayan na namumula na yung skin ko. The water was hot as hell, I feel like I got sudden burns on my skin. I didn't notice I was taking hot shower, so I adjusted it.
Hindi naman maulan ngayon or mainit. Sakto lang din yung panahon, I'm just hoping na maging maganda sana yung weather buong araw.
Nagmamadali ko ng tinapos ang paliligo baka naiinip na si Grayson kakahintay saakin. I don't want to keep him waiting.
Pumili na ko ng masusuot. Just shorts and shirt. Nagsuklay lang din ako. Humahaba na yung hair ko, parang gusto kong magpagupit. Yeah. I might try that later.
When I finished fixing my hair, I stepped out of my room. I saw Grayson scrolling on his phone while sitting on the couch.
He automatically smiled when he noticed me behind him, I smiled back and sit beside him. Nag scroll ito sa social media nito.
"You know what? You should create a social media account kahit IG lang" he said while tucking my hair behind my ear.
"Ayaw ko. Okay na sakin yung iM. Okay?" I protested. He can't convince me to create a new account using Cara's name. Social media is so toxic, plus the fact that I want to stay away from it dahil na rin sa mga issues na nakapaligid sakin. I want to forget it habang ako pa si Cara.
"Okay boss" he said while raising his hands. "The thing is, sometimes I want to gatekeep you. I don't want anyone to discover you. You're like a treasure to me, so staying away from social media is the best choice"
I chuckled. He is so cute whenever he's being this sweet.
"Let's go?"
He nodded and grabbed my hand. I didn't protest, I just let him hold my hand. But I didn't feel the electricity that I always feel whenever my skin touches Adriana's. I hate to compare him with Adriana, but I just couldn't help it.
I erased my thought before it could ruin my day. Hindi ko dapat iniisip yung taong hindi ako gusto. Yung taong may mahal ng iba. Hindi ko dapat sya pagtuunan ng pansin dahil it is not helping my mental health.
"May problem ba?" Grayson asked me the moment we entered his car. He started maneuvering.
"Uhm, wala naman. Naiisip ko lang kung magpapagupit ako or hindi"
"Like really short hair?" he looked at me as if he doesn't approve it.
"Hindi naman short talaga"
"You kinda look like Alba Baptista, so yeah I think it'll suit you" Suddenly I saw him smile as if imagining how will I look with a short hair.
"Masyado syang maganda, at lahat naman talaga bagay don"
"Bagay din naman lahat sayo, pati ako" he smiled shyly after saying that.
I chuckled. Natawa ako sa sinabi nito. Marunong pala to bumanat. Hindi kasi halata.
"Corny mo" This time napalakas yung tawa ko.
"I just wanna make you laugh because your smile doesn't always match your eyes. Laging malungkot"
I looked at him. He is now focused on the road. I didn't know what to respond. I mean, I may not be genuinely happy as before. I should slowly accept the fact that I have a new life now.
I wanna be happy too. I don't want to be stuck in my loneliness. I need to make new connections or try to open up. Pero hindi pa ko ready. Hindi pa ko handang sabihin sa iba yung problema ko. Hindi ko alam kung magiging kakampi ko ba sila or hindi. I'm scared of trusting people just like how I trusted dad and uncle Hector.
"Thank you, Grayson. Masaya ko na nakilala kita. Seryoso. Isa kang mabuting kaibigan"
His smile suddenly disappeared.
"Hanggang friend lang ba?"
"I-tatry natin maging more than that" I smiled to assure him. But deep inside me, that words may sound impossible. Pero lahat naman natututunan diba? Pwede pa naman sigurong ipilit.
"Kidding. You know what? Take your time, I'm not pressuring you. Okay?" This time, he smiled sincerely. Glanced at me for a second and pinched my cheek.
"You look cute" He added.
"Alam mo puro ka bola kanina pa"
"That's not bola. It's true. You are beautiful and perfect"
"Hindi mo ako madadaan sa ganyan Mr. Miller"
"Soon, you'll be so whip whenever you see me. And you'll feel giddy whenever I give you compliments"
"Not gonna happen" I teased him. Natawa itong humawak sa dibdib.
"Ouch that hurts"
His gestures made me happy somehow, I momentarily forgot all my problems. Masaya naman talaga itong kasama. No doubt about that.
Hindi ko namalayan na nasa tapat na kami ng isang salon. And that salon, yun ang pinuntahan namin ni Adriana before. Nagpark ito sa parking space. Bumaba na ito and open the door for me.
"Thanks, Gray. Naalala ko lang. Nagpunta kami dito ni Adriana before nung nagpasalon sya"
I said while we are stepping inside the salon. The same faces greeted us. I was wearing a facemask, so I don't think they remember me. However, they do know Grayson. So, I'm pretty sure he's been here before.
"Grayson! What a great surprise! It's been a year since I saw you" If I remember it correctly that's Tessa, yung hairstylist ni Adriana. Nagbeso ito kay Grayson.
"Yes, I was really busy. But we have an event later, so I want you to take care of my hair."
Pinaupo na kami ni Tessa, maya maya pa ay dumating na si Demi at nakipagchikahan rin kay Grayson.
"I want a Korean perm for my hair. What do you think, Tessa?"
"Ay sobrang pogi nyo lalo dun Doc Gray" si Demi ang sumagot dito. Panay din ang papansin nito sa binate.
"Yeah, bagay na bagay sayo yun, Doc Grayson" Tessa agreed.
"Okay. How about this beautiful lady beside me?" Grayson asked while looking at me with a grin on his face.
"She's so pretty kahit nakamask. Face reveal naman dyan" Demi teased instead of answering Grayson.
"Wag na po. Inuubo kasi ako" pagdadahilan ko
"We can dye her hair. Bagay sakanya yung neutral sandy blonde since she has a fair skin." Sagot naman ni Tessa.
"Gusto ko rin po sana pa hair cut, yung chin-length bob hair cut please"
"Bagay sya sayo ma'am kasi maliit yung mukha mo, tapos natural curly hair pa so, pak na pak!" Demi said excitedly, while checking my hair. "You look familiar ma'am, kayo yung kasama ni Doc A last time diba?" pagkumpirma pa nito. Wala n asana ko balak sabihin pa kaso naalala pala niya ko.
I just nodded at hindi na nagsalita pa. Mahirap na, mukhang intregera pa naman ito.
Nagsimula na kaming ayusan ng dalawa. Lagi lang naman kinakausap ni Demi si Grayson, she was obviously flirting with him.
Medyo natatawa nalang ako sa mga jokes nito kay Grayson. She was practically forcing him to admit that we are dating, pero Grayson was really honest, sinabi nito na we are on the getting-to-know-stage.
"Alam nyo ma'am, ang swerte nyo kay Doc Grayson, kaya kung ako sainyo sagutin nyo na. Dami daming nagkakagusto dyan, kasama na ko dun" Demi whispered, medyo kinikilig pa ito habang nakatingin kay Grayson.
"Yeah, he's nice at gentleman pa. Di na ko magtataka kung maraming nagkakagusto sakanya"
"Lalo yung sisterets ni Doc A, kundi lang na tegi yun naku. Very possessive yon talaga kay Doc Grayson"
Wala talagang preno yung bibig ni Demi. Hindi naman ako chismosa, pero minsan curious din ako sa mga detalye sa buhay nito.
Lalo na ni Adriana. Okay erase!
"Nasabi ko na yata sayo to pero medyo may similarities din kayo nun eh, medyo lang ha? Sa hair siguro, tapos sa height and sa complexion"
"Oo, parang nasabi mo na nga yan dati"
Sa halos isang oras na pag aayos nito saakin ay ang dami na nitong nakwento. Yung iba hindi naman related kay Adriana at Grayson. Kahit ano nalang kinukwento nito. Pati na rin yung talambuhay nito ay muntik ng ikwento saakin.
Di nauubusan ng kwento. SI Grayson naman ay tapos na rin, mga 45minutes lang yata ginawa yung buhok nito. And I must admit, he really looked hot on his new look. Sobrang gwapo nito.
"Oh yan! Pak na pak! Tingnan ko lang kung hindi lalong mabaliw sayo si Doc Gray sa new look mo" saad naman ni Demi ng matapos na ang buhok ko.
I automatically smiled when I checked my new look. Ang ganda ng pagkakagupit. First time ko nagpagupit ng ganito kaiksi pero di ko akalain na sobrang babagay saakin yung gupit ko. Napaka ganda ng kinalabasan!
"Wow! You are beautiful, Cara" tila naman namamanghang sabi ni Grayson. Nakatitig lang ito saakin while sitting on the waiting area.
I just smiled as a response to him.
"Napaka gandang bata" komento naman ni Tessa.
"Thank you po" I answered, forcing a smile.
Nang makapagbayad na si Grayson ay pumunta naman kami sa spa para magpa facial and foot massage. I can see the happiness in his eyes whenever he looks at me. He said that he considered this as a date, and I didn't protest.
To be honest, I'm still trying my best not to lose my attraction towards him. I still find him attractive and interesting. He treats me with respect and that's all I could ask for. I hope hindi ito magbago. Kung dumating man yung time na ready na ko to be committed to him.
I was very aware that he likes me that much. I can feel it naman and he's always telling me. He's act of service is undeniable. What more could I ask for?
"What do you want for lunch?" he asked. Tapos na kami mag pa spa and I'm really starving na rin. It's 12noon already.
"Kahit ano"
He chuckled. "girls are girls" he gently intertwined our hands. I didn't protest and I just let him do it.
Dinala ako nito sa malapit na kainan, walking distance lang from the spa. Iniwan lang muna nitong nakapark yung sasakyan sa parking space ng spa since walang parking space sa restaurant na kakainan namin.
It was just a Chinese restaurant. I'm not really into Chinese food but since I am so hungry, I could eat anything.
"I'm really hungry. I hope this Chinese restaurant is good" He whispered. We went to the VIP area as he talked to the manager. Buti nalang. Hindi masyadong crowded sa VIP area. May isang older couple na nauna doon. At umupo lang kami sa pinaka dulo. We are sitting across form each other.
May privacy rin sa VIP area kaya I felt comfortable taking off my facemask.
As we about to order, ay may pumasok ulit sa VIP area. Sabay kaming napalingon ni Grayson sa dalawang taong pumasok only to be surprised when we saw Adriana and Jackson entering the room.
We saw them looking around, until they saw us. Halatang nasurprise din ang dalawa. Jackson smiled and waved his hands at us. While Adriana's brows furrowed.
Lumapit ito saamin kasabay ng waiter.
"Dito rin pala kayo" Jackson said cheerfully nang makalapit na ito sa mesa namin.
"Yeah, I bet you both are going to the salon later"
"Uhuh. Mind if we join you?" Jackson said asking for our permission. Grayson nodded and asked for the waiter to set up a table for them katabi namin. Bali pinagdikit lang nito yung table para magkakatabi kami.
Tumabi saakin si Adriana. Si Jackson naman ay tumabi sa kapatid nito.
She seemed pissed and not talking. She's not even looking at us, she's just scrolling on her phone.
The waiter handed them menu. Hindi naman iyon tinignan man lang ni Adriana.
"What do you want, babe?" Jackson asked.
"Idk Jackson, just choose whatever you want. I'm okay with anything" Mataray ang pagkakasagot nito. Halatang wala na naman sa mood.
"Alright" he just said.
Nagkatinginan kami ni Grayson, parang nag uusap kami sa pamamagitan ng tingin. Mukhang napansin din kasi nito na wala na naman sa mood si Adriana.
Umorder na kami, I let Grayson decide for us, and Jackson decided for Adriana. Basta kahit ano nalang, nagugutom na talaga ako.
"You looked younger and prettier with your new hairstyle, Cara" Jackson grinned when he gave me compliment. I just forced a smile and uttered a thank you.
"I agree with you kuya" Grayson was looking at me with sparks on his eyes. He was staring at me like I am the prettiest girl he has ever seen. At nakakataba lang ng puso yung compliment nito.
"Right babe?" Jackson tried to get Adriana's attention by asking her opinion. She slowly glanced at me. Saglit na saglit lang yun, saglit lang nagtama yung mga mata namin. Pero para akong nahiya, kaya I looked away from her.
"Yeah. Not so bad" she said. Inalis na rin nito yung tingin saakin.
We were silent for a few minutes when the order finally arrived. The food is very authentic Chinese food. It looks good naman and smells good.
When we taste it, everyone agreed that the food tasted good especially it is an authentic Chinese meal. Okay naman din sya for me. At dahil gutom na gutom ako ay wala na kong pake.
Nasa kalagitnaan kami ng pagkain when we heard Jackson's phone rang.
"Oh wait, I have to take this call" Paalam nito saamin at lumayo ito saglit saamin.
Adriana was just quiet the whole time, while Grayson was serving me from time to time. Kulang nalang subuan ako nito. Medyo nakakahiya rin sa totoo lang.
"Grayson, don't have to act like Cara doesn't have her own hands. Let her do it." Adriana rolled her eyes as he stopped Grayson from doing his act of service.
Grayson seemed to pissed off but he chose not to say anything. I can feel the tension between them. I know he's about to say something, but I looked at him while shaking my head. It's a signal that I didn't want any trouble between them.
"Wait lang ha? I'll just go to the restroom" paalam nalang ni Grayson saamin. ALam ko naman na napikon ito kanina. I just nodded.
Kami nalang naiwan ni Adriana sa mesa. And suddenly it felt so awkward. I had this intimidating feeling that she is asking me to look at her, without her saying it. So, I looked at her. She was looking at me too over the rim of her glass while she drinks water. She slowly put it down after drinking.
"He seemed so pissed, acting like a real boyfriend huh?" bulong ni Adriana halos di ko na yun narinig. Hindi nalang ako sumagot pa.
"So? Why did you cut your hair short?" she started asking, her face is still unreadable.
"W-wala lang. Gusto ko lang" I said as calmly as possible but still my voice stuttered. Bakit ka kasi kinakabahan? Chill!
"Surprisingly, it suits you. Even the hair color matches your eyes"
Ayokong kiligin pero iba kasi kapag ito na yung nagcompliment. Sa totoo lang first time ko yatang narinig na pinuri ako nito. I secretly smiled.
I cleared my throat before saying "Thank you"
Magsasalita pa sana ito pero bumalik na si Jackson sa upuan nito, si Grayson rin naman ay tapos na mag "restroom". The entire time na kumakain kami ay hindi na masyadong nagsalita pa si Grayson, pansin ko talaga yung pagkabadtrip nito.
I tried not to think of this awkward situation. But Adriana doesn't even care about it. She's so blunt sometimes.
After we finished eating, Jackson and Adriana went straight to the salon. Grayson also walked towards his car and asked me to just stay here in front of the restaurant, kukunin lang niya yung sasakyan. Hindi na ko nito pinaglakad pa kahit malapit lang naman yung sasakyan kung saan nakapark ito.
Pansin ko naman na he tried his best to be cool. Minsan kasi talaga hindi na nakakatuwa si Adriana. Bawat galaw nalang ni Grayson ay lagi nitong pinapansin. Sa totoo lang naaawa din naman ako kay Grayson pero wala naman ako magagawa. Ganun talaga yung ugali nito. We have to deal with it.

Grayson dropped me off sa bahay. Hindi na rin ito tumuloy pa dahil gusto na rin nito magpahinga bago yung party. Ako rin naman, I want to rest for a while dahil for sure mapupuyat na naman kami mamaya sa party.
I went straight to my room and tossed myself on my bed. My mind was mostly thinking about Adriana and Jackson. He was calling her babe kanina. Was it a strong sign that they are finally back together? I don't have the courage to ask her, tho. All I could do is to overthink.
I hate to admit it, but I don't want them back together. I don't want them to be together again. They are better off as friends. Jackson is not good for Adriana. Once a cheater always a cheater, right? Masyado ba itong marupok para balikan yung nanakit dito? Concern lang naman ako dahil... dahil...
My thought trailed off. Erase!!
I sighed. I decided to just sleep.
..
I woke up when I heard Adriana's knocking on my door. She was calling my name, mukhang kanina pa dahil halatang inis na yung boses nito.
I dragged myself up and immediately opened the door for her with my eyes half closed.
"It's almost 6:00, you better hurry up. Take a bath and go upstairs when you're done"
Naiinis na sabi nito. Nakabathrobe na ito. Halata namang bagong ligo na. I can smell her unique scent.
"B-bakit Doc?" I tried to manage my voice and kept it calm, but my chest is pounding again. I wonder why I need to go upstairs. To her room perhaps? I thought she never let anyone enters her room.
"In my room. I'm gonna apply make up on you, Cara. So, you'll look presentable"
"Uhm pero..."tatanggi pa sana ako pero nagulat ako when she shush me with her index finger.
"Okay" I continued. "Uhm maliligo na ko"
She nodded. I turned back and entered my room to stop the pounding of my chest. As in di ko sya macontrol kanina the moment she put her index finger on my lips.
Nakakabaliw! Ugh!
I took a bath quickly dahil naligo naman na ko kanina. So mabilisan lang akong naligo. Hindi muna ako nagbihis. I just put on my underwear at nag bathrobe na ko. Mamaya na ko magbibihis after maayusan ni Adriana.
First time ko pa naman makakapasok sa kwarto nito and to be honest, medyo kinakabahan ako. The awkwardness I felt whenever we are alone together. I always remember our kisses when we talk. Kaya naman kung pwede lang umiwas nalang. Kaso hindi pwede eh.
I slowly go upstairs. Naghehesitate pa ko pero kumatok nalang ako ng matapat sa pinto nito.
She immediately opened the door as if she anticipated it.
"Come in"
As if my feet freeze for a moment di ako makagalaw. Parang ayokong pumasok sa kwarto nito. Pero nang mainip ito at mukhang wala pa kong balak pumasok, hinila ako nito papasok.
I looked around her bedroom. I noticed that she loves dark color. Her curtain, bedsheet and carpet are all dark. Her bed was so neat halos walang lukot. Parang sa hotel yung pagkakaayos. She has a neatly arranged pillow and blanket on her king size bed. All are dark colors that simply characterized her.
Very minimalist bedroom as I didn't see any furniture aside from the side table slightly to the right and a mirror hanging on the wall.
There is a chair on the table, probably where she does her make up. So, she pushed me to sit down as she was looking down on me, she was basically just standing since there's only one chair in her room.
Sinimulan akong ayusan nito. She started applying moisturizer on my face and neck, then putting on the primer.
Next, she applied foundation on my face. It was matched based on my skin tone. She put on a little bit of concealer on the parts that has freckles. Sunod naman ay eye make up. She seemed so focused on what she's doing, but bruh, I couldn't focus!
Damn it!
My eyes are roaming around her face. Di pa ko makapag concentrate dahil naaamoy ko na naman yung mabangong amoy nito na nakakaadik.
"Stop staring, Cara" She snapped.
Nag zone out na pala ako while staring at her.
"Uhm sorry"
"I know I'm beautiful, you don't have to act so obvious" she smirked. The kind of smirk that I love to see. So hot.
I chewed my cheek in embarrassment as she said those words. She is so mean. Ugh! Is that so obvious that I find her so beautiful and hot?
Why does she have to be so blunt?
I looked at her again trying to read her facial expressions, kung nang iinis lang ba ito or seryoso ito sa sinabi nito.
But now I can see her staring back at me.
"Cara, I said you should stop what you're doing right now. I can't focus, seriously"
"A-ang ganda mo kasi" I absentmindedly reasoned out.
"I-I said stop staring, please" her voice now is kinda rasp when she plead
"Bakit?" Nagtataka kong tanong ko. I fidgeted in my seat. I'm nervous and I can sense that she's nervous as well.
I was waiting for her reply and what she said next almost made me insane.
"I might kiss you" she whispered
