Lauren sighed when she got yet again, another call about a young girl who was standing at the top of the tallest building here in Miami.

The woman climbed up the thousands of stairs to get there, finding her sitting on the edge.

The same girl from before. The same 13 year old girl who Lauren saved last time.

She was autistic, mentally not there.

This time she seemed smaller, more frail, practically skin and bones.

She was slouched as she sat there, eyes on the ground that was more than 400 feet away.

"Hey." Lauren leant on the ledge, looking at the tiny girl.

She grabbed her walkie talkie when she saw the blood on the girl's face, whispering for an ambulance.

"What happened, hmm?" She asked the teen, making her shake her head and place her shaking hands on the ledge.

Lauren found the tiny girl wearing nothing but a hoodie that fell to her knees.

Even then, it was covered in dirt, blood, and holes.

"Y/N." Lauren spoke the girl's name, making her stiffen up and begin to tremble.

"What happened?" The officer asked once more.

"Who... who did this to you, sweetheart?" The cop rested a hand on her back, making her jolt away and grimace.

"Ahh!" She winced in pain, leaning more off of the edge.

"Come on, let's get you off of here." Lauren went to wrap an arm around her thin waist.

"No!" She shouted, shoving the officer away and finally letting go.

"No! Y/N!" Lauren caught her by her arm, making her scream out in pain.

The ambulance was below, officers setting up a safe place for the girl's body to land if she did jump.

The girl's arm was clearly popped out of place, but Lauren was only doing her job.

Saving a life.

She pulled her up, as much as the teen fought.

Lauren hissed when the girl's nails scratched her cheek, pinning her down on the ground.

"Stop it! Y/N, stop!" She shouted at her, holding those thin arms down and pinning her in place.

"Talk to me, baby! What's going on?! Who did this to you?!" She asked the teen one more time.

The girl wasn't answering, so they had to take her to the hospital.

Lauren stayed with her the entire time, shock written over her face when she saw the girl's scans.

She had a foreign object in her stomach, busted open which was the cause of her brain damage.

The girl was the victim of drug smuggling, doctors rushing her into surgery to remove the drugs.

But they couldn't, at least not without damaging one of the girl's internal organs. The drugs were attached to not only a major organ, but an artery.

They at least got a sample of the drug.

It wasn't heroine, it wasn't morphine, it wasn't cocaine or marijuana. It was these pink little crystals that none of the cops or doctors recognized.

When put under the microscope, it looked like a regular glycoprotein. But when tested and added to a human cell, it spread like a virus.

They thought Y/N's brain was damaged, but it was actually healing itself.

The teen was laid to rest on the hospital bed, the cops waiting for her to wake up so that they could question her.

They needed to know where this drug came from and what it did.

They needed to stop the person making it, before that virus spread.

Lauren was sitting beside the teen, holding her hand the entire time.

The poor girl was covered in bruises, hickies, whip marks, and lacerations.

Clearly the people that did this to her were looking for the drug.

The teen woke up that evening, sitting up and looking around.

Sheer panic washed over her face, Lauren rushing to her side.

"Hey, hey. Sweetheart, it's okay. You're fine, you're safe." The Cuban grabbed her tiny hand.

"You're freezing." She pulled the blanket over her body.

"How are you feeling?"

The girl looked down at herself, wondering what the hell happened while she was asleep.

All she remembered was being taken into an ambulance.

"No, no, stop that. Y/N, baby you're fine. The doctors just fixed you up a bit." Lauren told her when she saw the girl trying to look under the gauze on her stomach.

"Do you remember anything?"

The teen nodded her head, swallowing thickly.

"Can you tell me what happened?" The officer asked her, sitting beside her.

"I..." the girl croaked out, voice raspy from the lack of use.

"I remember walking downtown, going to my usual spot to play my guitar..." she looked out at the window.

"And when I got there, everything was fine. But... when I was on my way back to the orphanage... I heard talking." She was remembering every single detail, Lauren stroking the back of her hand to give her some comfort.

"There were two men arguing, yelling at one another. Something about finding a suitable host... I dropped by guitar and they looked at me and..." she had tears in her eyes.

"One grabbed me, asking me all of these questions.."

"What kind of questions?" Lauren asked.

"Things like, would anyone notice if you went missing? Or these weird medical questions like,  does any of your family have any mental illnesses?" She began to explain.

"And I was forced to answer or... or they'd kill me..." she let her tears fall.

"From there, I don't remember much. I just remember waking up sore here." She pointed to her stomach.

"They told me not to tell anyone about it and to go find a man named Matthew Hussey." Lauren immediately wrote that name down.

"I was set free and I thought that maybe, just maybe everything would be okay now. So, I went back home to the orphanage. But... after a few days... men after men came in looking for me. They adopted me just to start cutting into my body and... and... t-touching me..." she stuttered, unable to say the words.

"How many, Y/N?"

"O-Over three.."

"Do you remember their names?"

Y/N nodded her head, writing them all down.

Bradley Simpson, Austin Mahone, Shawn Mendez, Jacob Whitesides, and Luis Santos.

Lauren couldn't believe the names she was seeing.

Bradley was a cop, Shawn was in the FBI.

The others were business men.

"So you thought that by killing yourself, you'd end it?" Lauren asked the girl, making her nod and sniffle.

Y/N's hands were still trembling, something she couldn't control because of the drugs.

"Y/N, honey... you can't just kill yourself. It won't fix anything. We need you to help us in this. You're all we have. If you did... one of those men would've just cut you up and taken what's inside of you."

"What's inside of me?" The girl looked up at the Cuban with glossy eyes.

The cop sighed, "I can't... I can't tell you that."

"It's my body, I should at least have a right to know what's inside of it." She mumbled, looking down at her hands.

The doctor came in with a sigh, "Y/N?" The girl nodded her head.

"We need you for another cat scan." The teen waved Lauren goodbye, being taken to another room.

The Cuban went to report everything the girl told her, officer Bradley being taken in for questioning.

The girl was returned to her room after the cat scan, given a lollipop.

She held it in her hand, looking up at the tv that played Disney Channel.

Lauren sat beside her, being ordered to protect the girl.

The doctor sighed, looking over her cat scan photos.

Y/N's brain was significantly different from before.

When they looked at the first cat scan picture, her brain was completely shut down.

But now, it was healing itself, slowly lighting up every neuron in her brain.

"What is it?" Lauren looked over his shoulder.

"This is a cat scan of a normal, healthy brain." He showed Lauren the photo, then pulling out Y/N's less recent one.

"What? How is she even alive?" Lauren looked them over.

"That was 10 hours ago. This one, this was was twenty minutes ago." He pulled out the most recent one.

"Oh my god..." the cop looked it over, finding her brain looking completely normal. More so, even.

"She's building new cells, rebuilding everything she lost and more." He shook his head.

"What happens when every cell is remade?"

"No one knows. We've never seen it before. No one's ever seen someone who can access 100% of their brain."

Lauren looked to the teen who was now fast asleep.

"What do we do?"

"We pray that she makes it."

"There's not some drug or medication you can give her to stop the process?"

"Officer, she fought the anesthesia with little to no effort. Her body is in panic mode and will kill any and all drugs we give her."

Lauren was defeated, not knowing what else to do.

"Did you find out what that drug was?"

"We're working on it, still."

"Well, work harder." She angrily sat down beside the teen, gently grabbing her hand.

"You don't deserve this... I'll do everything I can to make things better for you..." she let her tears fall.

Lauren was startled awake by her boss coming in.

"Where is she?"

"Mmm, cat scan." She grumbled out, rubbing her eyes.

"What time is it?" The female cop yawned out.

"Half past noon." He looked at his watch.

"Bradley was taken to prison last night. They found traces of Y/N's blood in his house."

"Good, that bastard deserves it." The Cuban sat up when Y/N was wheeled back in.

The teen was laid back in her bed, eyes looking more lively than ever.

She looked a lot healthier, a lot stronger than she did the other day.

Lauren was concerned.

"We found her record, Lauren... Y/N isn't thirteen. She's twenty two." The doctor chuckled.

"What?!" The Cuban exclaimed.

"They found everything, Lauren. I was abused by my parents, abused by my family and left to starve. I had so much brain damage that I developed memory loss and so many other things. My papers were hidden in Bradley's house. I was mistaken for a child because I looked the part..." she explained, understanding it herself.

Lauren was so confused, mostly shocked about what she was hearing.

"The drugs healed you."

"Yeah." She smiled.

The Cuban remembered the first time she saved the girl.

She was slow, mute, not all there. She looked mentally lost.

But now, Y/N's brain was so advanced that she had her memory, everything she once lost.

"Come on, I think you should rest."

"But I don't want to rest! I want to go outside!" She groaned, looking out the window when the doctor had laid her down on her bed.

"No. You're still a target, Y/N."

"Watch her, Lauren. I'll be right back." The doctor told the cop, making her nod.

The woman sighed, looking outside.

"Y/N, how do you remember so much?"

"I don't know, Lauren. It's like, this fog in my head has finally cleared. I feel amazing." She smiled.

Y/N was working on a test that the government was giving her to test her capability of being an adult.

It consisted of mental stability, knowledge, reading and writing skills, etc.

The woman remembered everything, almost like she was fresh out of school.

She aced the test, not missing one question.

Lauren watched over her, once again falling asleep within the night.

"Where is she? Hey, Lauren. Wake up." The sheriff shook the girl awake, making her groan.

"She's probably with the doctors getting a cat scan again." She groaned, rubbing her eyes.

"You didn't see her leave?" He looked at her schedule, finding that nothing was planned.

"Shit, shit!" He cursed, grabbing his walkie talkie.

"Someone ask around for the girl! She's gone!"

Lauren shot up at this, panic rushing through her as she realized what was happening.

Y/N was gone and it was her fault.

The doctors were running around in search for her, hoping she maybe just wandered off.

But even the cameras were down.

Cops were everywhere, patrolling everywhere in Florida for the girl.

No stone was left unturned.

Y/N thrashed about, screaming into the gag when she found herself in the trunk of a car.

"Mmmm!!! Mmmm!!!!" She screamed, kicking and kicking the car.

"Shut up back there!" The man driving shouted at her.

"I don't get paid enough for your shit!" It was a familiar voice, a familiar voice that made memories flash into the girl's mind.

Matthew Hussey.

Detective Matthew Hussey.

Y/N tugged and yanked at the ropes that were tied around her body, pulling her gag down with her finger.

"HELP!! HELP!!" She cried out, screaming and kicking the trunk of the car.

"Goddamnit!" The man grumbled out, the girl feeling the cat stop.

She panicked, seeing the trunk open.

He pulled her out of the trunk, making her fall onto the concrete.

The woman gasped in pain, squirming and trying to get out of the ropes.

"Be a good girl and shut the fuck up!" He kicked her legs, making her cry out in pain.

He adjusted her gag, looking around to make sure no one saw.

He caught sight of a car coming to pull over, and immediately threw Y/N into the trunk.

"You shut up." He pulled his gun out, pointing it at her temple.

The girl went silent.

"Hey, everything alright? You got a flat or something?" He asked, a friendly smile on his lips.

"Oh, nothing really. Just heard a little rustling back here. I found the problem. I'll just me on my way." He faked a smile, pushing Y/N further in and shutting the trunk.

"So you pulled over because you heard a sound in the trunk? Don't you think that's normal for lugging stuff around?" The man asked, a bit suspicious.

*BANG*

Y/N sobbed when she heard that, screaming into the gag and struggling against the ropes.

"Don't you think that's normal for lugging stuff around?" Matthew mocked him, opening the trunk and throwing the body in with Y/N.

The girl screamed, kicking at the seat of the car and trying to get away from the body beside her.

Matthew got back into the driver's seat and started the car.

He chuckled, shaking his head when he heard the girl's screams.

This time he wasn't very angry, just going along with his drive.

The girl gagged when the man's body was pushed into her as they took a turn.

She tried to remember the turns from that store she saw outside.

She was trying to locate herself.

Finally, the car came to a stop.

Matthew grabbed the girl, pressing his gun to her back.

It was still warm from the first shot.

She groaned, feeling him grab her by her shoulders.

He pulled her inside the cabin, tossing her on the bed.

"You, little girl are worth a lot of money." He spoke as he untied her.

"Mmph!" The girl kicked and hit him the second she was free.

He laughed at this, pinning her down under him.

"But that doesn't mean I'm not going to have a little fun with you before you go." He tore off her clothes, taking her gag off.

"So you're just a delivery boy, huh?!" She shouted at him, trying to distract him from what he wanted to do.

He let out a muffled chuckle, "oh, I'm more than a delivery boy. You'll see that." He clamped his hand over her mouth, pulling his penis out of his pants and holding her still with his other arm.

The woman screamed and fought, trying to squirm free.

But he was so much stronger, easily forcing himself on her.

He groaned, pulling out of her and releasing his sperm on her vagina.

"God, baby.. you're so tight. I think I might want to keep you a little longer." He chuckled, stroking her vagina.

She shoved him off, using all of her strength to punch him across the face.

His face whipped to the side, blood forming on his lip.

He gasped, chucking and looking at her.

"You're going to regret that."

He grabbed her roughly, bruising her skin with little to no effort.

She screamed, fighting against him as he tied her to the bed.

"Oh, I see my package has arrived." A voice chimed in, the woman looking to find a tall man who was smoking a joint.

"Fucking bitch hit me." Matthew groaned, wiping the blood off of his mouth.

"Well, maybe because she doesn't like you touching her. Let me try." The green eyed man straddled the woman's waist.

"Tell me, sweetheart.. do you know why you're here?"

"Because you're a fucking cunt who wanted me here!!" She shouted at him, spitting her saliva at his face.

He groaned, wiping his face and grabbing her's.

He forced her mouth open, roughly squeezing her cheeks.

"You listen here, baby girl. You're going to respect me, or you're going to get hurt." He blew the smoke into her mouth.

"You better hope that's enough to get you high." He put out his blunt, sitting beside her and taking out his pocket knife.

"Where is it?"

"Where's what?!" She cried out in pain when he sliced into her left breast.

"You know what I'm talking about." He glared at her, slicing into her thighs.

She screamed out in pain, trembling when he began to cut deeper in the same spot.

"I don't want to hurt you, baby girl."

"You better start answering." Matthew chimed in.

"Th-The doctors took it! They took it and are trying to figure out what it is!" She lied, knowing well what they'd do to her if they knew.

"Hussey." The man gestured him over.

"Have the boys find that cop, the hot one. Maybe she can get us some answers."

"No!! Don't you touch her, you bastards!!" She screamed at them as they went to the door.

"You touch her and you're dead!! You're fucking dead!!"

"Okay, so the blood was found here. The cameras of the convenient store caught a black Tesla that pulled over. Why do you think this has something to do with Y/N?" Lauren asked her teammate.

"Maybe because Hussey hasn't been found and that car is clearly a detective's stolen car. Keep up, Lauren." Detective Camila answered, rolling her eyes.

"And look who pops their head out of the trunk." Lauren watched intently, gasping when she saw Y/N.

"Shit! Okay, okay! I'm listening!"

"I already have officers in search of this car and a warrant for Hussey. All we need to do is wait."

"Wait? You want me to wait?" Lauren couldn't believe this.

"Yes, Lauren."

"I can't just sit and wait! Y/N is out there and could be being chopped up right now! And you want me to sit on my ass and wait?! Fuck you, Camila!" She flicked the Cuban off, grabbing her file and leaving.

Lauren was in her car, searching for any sign of the woman in the vicinity of the convenient store.

The cop barely had time to park before throwing her seatbelt off and bolting out of the car.

She saw something, or someone.

There she stood on wobbly legs and dressed in only a man's shirt.

She was gagged and tied up, the shirt unbuttoned and showing her breasts.

That wasn't the worst part, sperm was covering her chest and she had several hickies on her body.

"Looks like your plan worked, Hussey. Use the mermaid as bait, get the shark." A man chuckled, coming out from the alleyway and grabbing Y/N.

The girl struggled against the ropes, fighting when the man held a knife to her throat.

"Mmm!! Mmm!" She was clearly trying to tell the woman something.

Finally the gag slipped off of her mouth, "Behind you!!"

Lauren turned, hitting a man that pressed a gun to her head.

"Drop everything on you." Hussey smirked.

"Lauren, no!!" The woman cried out.

"Drop it, now! Or we will kill her and gut her body!!" Hussey shouted at her.

Lauren gave in, unbuckling her police belt that held all of her weapons.

She dropped it to the floor, putting her hands out.

"No!!" Y/N elbowed the unknown man as hard as she could in the gut, getting away for a split second before she was stabbed right in the stomach.

"Y/N!!" Lauren cried out, watching the woman fall to her knees with the dagger stabbed into her stomach.

She was looking down at it, reaching for the handle.

"No!! Y/N, don't!! Don't touch it!" Lauren shouted at her, watching the girl spit up her own blood.

"Shit, shit! You weren't supposed to stab her!!" Hussey cried out in shock.

"What was I supposed to do, man?! She got away!" The guy panicked.

"Boss is gonna kill us!! He's gonna gut us like fish!!" Hussey cried, trembling hands holding the gun.

Lauren gathered her senses, knocking it out of his hands and choking him out until he fell limp.

"Ambulance, I need an ambulance!!" She shouted into her walkie talkie, rushing to Y/N and not even caring about the man who ran away.

"Y/N, baby hey! Relax, relax baby girl." She knelt beside her, finding her eyes wide and blood spilling from her lips.

She coughed more up, reaching for the handle.

"No, no! Baby, don't. Don't touch it, I'm here." She held her head on her lap, running her fingers through her soft hair.

"Everything's going to be okay, just stay right here." She whispered to her, letting out a choked sob when she saw her growing less and less responsive.

Sirens were heard in the distance, finally growing close enough to where Lauren could see the flashing lights.

"I should've been there.... I shouldn't have let you out of my sight..." she whispered to her.

The Cuban was applying pressure around the woman's stab wound, trying her best to save her.

Finally, paramedics rushed over, taking Y/N into the ambulance.

"Where's the other guy?!"

"Ran off that way." The Cuban told Camila, getting into the ambulance with the girl.

On the drive to the hospital, Y/N's heart stopped completely.

She was dead.

Lauren sobbed, watching them start CPR.

But there was nothing from her.

The paramedic removed the knife from her body, Lauren finding those tiny pink crystals on the end of it.

She looked into the woman's wound, finding that the knife had punctured the bag of drugs in her body.

Finally they brought the girl's body to the hospital.

That same doctor from before rushed in, heart breaking when he saw the state of the girl.

"I'm so sorry." He sighed, placing a hand over the girl's head.

Lauren wouldn't part from her, just burying her face into her neck to smell her scent and to feel her warm body for the last time.

She remembered the first time she ever held her. It was that first time she saved her, carrying her down the stairs and letting her cuddle into her.

Camila rushed in, hoping to find the doctors working to resuscitate her, but the room was eerily silent.

Only Lauren was with the girl.

They took the empty bag out of her, finding the drug almost completely gone. Her body had absorbed all of it, leaving little to be experimented on.

All Lauren could do was weep, holding Y/N to her chest and apologizing over and over for failing her.

Camila felt misplaced, not knowing how or why Lauren was so close to the girl.

The woman's head was against her chest, her body limp.

But Lauren felt the tiniest of movement, maybe a twitch.

She sniffled, pulling away to look at her.

The girl took a long inhale before the heart monitor began to show a steady heartbeat.

The female cop looked down at the woman's wound, finding it completely healed.

It was only a scar now.

"I-Ill get the doctor!" She rushed to get up, making the woman grab her wrist.

"Lauren... please stay..." she had tears in her eyes, begging the woman.

"I'll get him." Camila stood up, leaving them.

"Y-You died..." Lauren looked at her wound, finding nothing there but a scar.

All of her wounds, bruises, everything had healed.

"I what?" She looked into her green eyes, not understanding.

"You were dead, Y/N..." Lauren wiped her tears away.

"But-but I'm right here... aren't I? I-I'm still alive." Y/N looked at her hands.

The doctor rushed in, looking at Y/N in pure terror.

The color had already returned to her skin, her body looking much healthier than ever.

She looked older, taller, nothing like she did before.

"This... this isn't possible." He pointed at Y/N, looking at his clipboard.

"She's dead! We've already put in the paperwork, everything! She needs to leave, now!" He whispered to them, shutting the door.

"What?" Lauren stood up.

"She isn't safe here!" He whisper shouted, writing something down.

"If anyone else finds out about this, they'll take her away and kill her! Go to this address, I'll meet you there and I'll do my best to help you." He whispered to them, giving them the slip of paper.

"Okay." He peaked through the door.

"Come on, let's get you out of here." He gestured Y/N over and the girl stood up, now a bit taller than Lauren.

She held Lauren's hand, following the doctor out.

They snuck around, trying their best not to be seen while Camila got the car ready.

Finally, the two met her and Camila was the one driving.

"I don't understand... what the fuck is happening to me?" Y/N looked at her scar.

"Language." Lauren scolded her.

"Lauren, she's twenty three." Camila shook her head at the woman.

Y/N rubbed her hands over her face, sighing in defeat.

The cop rubbed her back, pulling her in for a hug.

When they arrived at the beach house, they found it secluded, which was what they needed.

Doctor Harry was there, waving at them and letting them inside.

"Alright, sit here. I need to get a blood sample." The girl nodded her head, used to having her blood drawn by now.

She hopped up on the table, extending her arm for him.

The woman watched her blood fill the tube, finding it to be much lighter than usual.

It was almost pink.

Lauren watched Harry as he tested her blood under the microscope.

"Her cells are multiplying, no wonder she healed so quickly. I've never seen this much fibroblast." He chuckled, looking to the woman.

"You could be the cure to cancer!" He exclaimed.

"And in my lab?! Oh my gosh!"

"What, no. Harry, focus! What the hell is wrong with me?!" Y/N exclaimed, making him chuckle.

"Absolutely nothing, Y/N. You're what us scientists have been trying to find for millennia. You're the perfect human. You heal within seconds, you cannot be killed. Your cells multiply so fast that they immediately heal, even if you have died."

"Harry! This isn't good!" The girl shook her head standing up.

"Yes, yes it is!"

"Harry, I can't be hurt! I can't be killed! I can't die! What am I meant to do?!" She shouted back at him, pulling away when he tried to get her to sit back down.

"No, don't touch me! I just... I need some air." She shook her head.

"Y/N." Lauren called her, making her sigh.

"I'll be fine, Lauren. I just need a moment." The woman went outside.

"Harry, maybe Y/N's right-"

"No, Lauren! Scientists have been trying to figure this out for so long! This is amazing!" He chuckled, making the Cuban shake her head and go out to find that woman.

She searched for Y/N, calling out for her into the woods on the opposite side of the beach.

"Y/N!" She called out, hoping for an answer.

Then, there was a scream.

Lauren, Harry, and Camila came running.

There Y/N was being held by gunpoint by that same man from before.

Tyrone Griffin.

"Y/N!"

"Step back! Step back, or I'll blow her brains out! All I need is her fucking body! She absorbed my drugs, she is my experiment! She is mine!" He yelled at them, making them all take a step away.

"Ugh, I'm so done with this shit!" The woman exclaimed, anger coursing through every fiber of her being.

Harry stared in pure horror as the woman's eyes turned a shade of pink.

She hoisted the man up from where he was holding her, throwing him onto the ground.

*BANG*

"Y/N!" Lauren rushed to her, getting thrown off in the process.

"Lauren!" Camila ran to the woman who practically flew a few feet away.

Harry froze up, watching Y/N as she was shot several times in the process of killing Tyrone Griffin.

She held him up by his throat, holding him in one hand.

His feet couldn't touch the ground, the woman using all 100% of her brain as she killed him.

"Y/N!" Lauren cried out, tears falling down her face as she tasted her own blood.

The man fell from her grasp and to the ground, Y/N falling to her knees.

Harry watched those bullet wounds that went through her body, slowly heal before his eyes.

She looked up, eyes going to Lauren.

That pink color faded away, her eyes going back to their natural color.

She gasped for air, "Lauren..." she spoke as she crawled to the woman.

"I-I don't know... what happened?" She asked, a trembling hand coming up to wipe the blood from the cop's mouth and nose.

Lauren gently cupped her cheek, "I did this... didn't I?" The woman asked, figuring out what happened.

"I-I blacked out and I... I hurt you, didn't I?" She asked, pulling away slightly.

"No, no. Come here-"

"No! I-I don't want to hurt you.." she spoke, tears falling down her face.

"I need to leave... before I bring anymore danger upon you... or worse.... Before I hurt you." She cupped Lauren's cheek.

"Y/N, you wouldn't-"

"I already have, Lauren. Look, look what I've done. If this wasn't intentional, just think about what I'm capable of when it is... I can't... I can't see you get hurt anymore. I've put you through enough."

"Y/N-"

"Shh." The woman hushed her, looking into her eyes.

"It's my turn to save you. I need you safe... even if it means leaving." She watched those green eyes flickering to her lips.

She leant her forehead against the cop's, just inhaling the scent of her perfume.

She shut her eyes, just wanting to feel her presence for a bit longer.

After their little moment, she pulled away and nodded to herself.

She stood up, feeling a hand grasp her wrist.

"Wait." Lauren pulled her back in, kissing her lips.

The woman froze, taking a moment to realize why was happening before reciprocating.

Their kiss was short lived, the sun beginning to go down.

"I have to go." She pulled away from Lauren, the Cuban letting her tears fall as she watched her slip away.

There was a metallic click and Y/N felt something around her wrist.

She looked down, finding Harry holding handcuffs.

"Harry, what are you-"

"I can't let my life's research just walk away, Y/N. I'm sorry." He put the other cuff on her.

"Harry!" Lauren exclaimed, shoving him away from her.

Camila was looking for the key, trying to help.

"What is wrong with you! We can't do this!"

"I can't, I'm sorry." He pulled Y/N inside the house, ignoring the two women who fought him on it.

He pulled her to his lab, tying her down as best he could with rope.

"Let me go! Let me go, you son of a bitch!! I should have never trusted you!!" The woman shouted, eyes going back to their pink state.

Harry inserted a needle into her skin, getting a blood sample.

"Ugh, you fucking cunt!! I should have let him kill you!!" Lauren never thought she'd hear her say anything even close to that.

"Her brain is 100% activated off of pure rage. Be prepared for anything." He warned them.

"Y/N, Y/N!" He shook the woman when she had suddenly gone still with her eyes shut.

Slowly, the tables around them, the chairs, the desk, everything began to levitate.

"Y/N, stop!" Lauren cried out, making the woman wince a bit.

"Again, Lauren! She hears you!" Camila shouted at her, narrowly dodging a desk that flew at her.

It crashed into the wall, shattering into pieces.

"Y/N, baby! Baby, this isn't you! Fight it! Please, just come back to me! Come back to me and we can be together!" Lauren placed a hand on her cheek, holding her.

Everything fell down from where it was levitating, a pink liquid dripping down the woman's nose.

Harry was quick to grab a vial, putting it to her nose to catch it.

"Tilt her head forward." Lauren did as she was told, watching the liquid drip into the vial until there was nothing left.

Y/N winced, opening her eyes and panicking when she found herself tied up.

"Let me go! Please! Please!" She cried out, tears streaming down her face.

The memories of before flashed in her mind and Lauren was quick to cut her loose.

"Baby, baby hey. You're okay, it's me. You're safe." She held her close.

Camila watched Harry place a drop of that liquid on a slide to see under the telescope.

Lauren kissed her love, assuring her that everything was fine.

"I-I'm scared, Lauren..."

"I know, baby.. I am too. But Harry is going to fix it."

"CPH4, of course..."

"What?" Everyone looked to Harry.

"It's a compound found in pregnant women when giving birth. It heals and helps growth. But only a minuscule amount is seen per birth. With so much, Y/N's body is working overdrive. No wonder she can heal so fast. Her brain only gets 100% activated when she's angry, because that's when she feels the most mental pain. Her brain works to heal that, but it can't. That's why she seems to black out!" He exclaimed.

"What? Harry, slow down." Camila furrowed her eyebrows.

"Y/N blacks out because her brain thinks she's feeling physical pain, but she isn't. So, it has nothing to heal. Therefore, she uses 100% of her brain because those extra cells don't have anywhere else to go. But those cells die when Y/N fights to regain her consciousness. So... in order to fix Y/N, I just have to take away some of those cells. Like her body was already doing." He pulled up the tube with that pink liquid in it.

"Harry, you're a genius!" Camila smiled.

"I know." He pretended to flip his hair.

"But how do you get those cells?" Lauren asked, making Harry sigh.

"It's a tricky procedure called a Endoscopic endonasal surgery... I have to take a small tube and stick it up her nose to access her Brian matter. From there, those cells should naturally flow down with gravity." He explained.

"If done right, we should see results immediately." He smiled.

"And if done wrong?" Lauren asked.

"Let's just hope it doesn't go wrong." He sighed, getting his things ready.

Lauren wasn't prepared for this and clearly neither was Y/N.

"Lauren..." she had tears in her eyes.

There was no way pain meds would last for her, but Harry wouldn't do it without it.

He inserted her IV and gave her much more anesthesia than she needed. But she wasn't feeling sleepy, just numb.

Camila was making sure the woman wasn't feeling any pain and all and when she was, she'd up her medicine.

Lauren just held her lover's hand the entire time, providing her with the much needed comfort.

"No pain, right?" Harry asked, making the girl use her finger to sign No.

Y/N winced, gripping the seat when the medication suddenly wore off.

Camila jumped into action, giving her more.

She relaxed when she began to feel numb again, Harry focusing with every fiber in his being.

He had to get this right.

"Mmm, mmm!!" The girl cried out in pain, tears in her eyes as she tried her best not to thrash about when the medication wore off again and she felt a pain deep within her head.

"There it is..." Harry attached a vial to the tube, watching it fill up with that pink liquid.

There was a bit of blood, but not enough to cause concern.

Camila upped her meds once more, making sure she was comfortable.

After about ten minutes, Harry had four vials filled and there wasn't much more to give.

So, he slowly withdrew the tube that had a pointed end to puncture the thin skin of her nasal cavity.

Y/N relaxed, her body taking it's time to heal with it's left over cells.

It took about a minute or so before she was fully healed, making Harry smile.

"We did it."

Lauren smiled at this, tears in her eyes as she stroked her lover's hair.

"We did it, baby." She repeated Harry's words to her.

The woman smiled, receiving a kiss from the green eyed beauty.

The woman was laid to rest, Lauren staying by her side the entire time.

They ate together, rested together, everything.

Camila, on the other hand was helping Harry with his research.

With Y/N's extra cells in his possession, he could safely say that he had the cure for all diseases, illnesses, injuries, etc.

The woman sleeping on the table was the cure to cancer.

And just the tiniest bit of Y/N's cells could cure it.

Lauren couldn't care less, just wanting her lover to be safe.

And she was, especially now when Harry decided it was time to tell people about Y/N.

Harry was given billions, trillions of dollars for his cure and Y/N, well she was praised from all over the world.

Finally, the girl could go out in the world, of course with Lauren at her side.

The two were inseparable, never once parting.

The Cuban asked her to marry her, which Y/N said yes to.

They had only gone through hell and back together.
