Warning: mention of death
You are lying on your bed when you hear a door. Sadie just got home. It's a normal day like always. You hear how is Sadie putting her coat away and how she is going upstairs
"Hi Y/n" she says as she walks into the room
"Hi Sades" you say
"I was thinking if you want to take a little trip. I have a few days off from filming" she says
"That will be great. Do you have some special place?" You ask
"No. It doesn't matter. I just want to be with you" she says and sits on the edge of the bed
You smile and sit up. You lean in and place a little innocent kiss on your girlfriend's lips
"I will think about something" you say to Sadie
"Okay" Sadie says back and makes her way to the bathroom

You just turned off every light and got into bed
You are embracing Sadie from behind around her stomach
"Sadie?" You whisper
"Yeah?" She answers tiredly
"What if we go to my cottage? It's nice there and especially in this time of the season" you say
"That will be great, love" she answers
"Okay" you mumble quietly and let Sadie fall asleep
The next morning you wake up next to Sadie. You are still in the same position as you fell asleep last night. Your arm is wrapped around her waist and your face is buried in her hair. Her back pressed against you and her chest slowly rising
You try to slowly get up but when you move your arm a little Sadie immediately takes your wrist and puts it back on her stomach
"Stay" she mumbles still half asleep
You let out a small sigh and lay back down
"Sadie we need to get up" you whisper
"No" she says back
"But Sadi-"
"No" she cuts you off and you give up
After a few minutes, Sadie turns around. You have faces inches apart, looking to each other's eyes
You catch your girlfriend by surprise and kiss her. You use that moment when you have your lips connected and when you pull out you are out of the bed
"Heeyyy" Sadie groans
You just smile at her and make your way to the bathroom to brush your teeth and fix your hair
When you walk out of the bathroom you see Sadie still lying on your bed
You let out a sigh and then you smile at your idea. You go closer to the bed, quickly take the blanket off her and throw it away
"Y/N!!" she shouts but you are not finished yet
You take her by her waist and lift her up into the air. You throw her over your shoulder and stand there patiently
"LET ME DOWNN!!" she shouts
"Will you get up and pack things for our trip?" You ask
"YES! JUST LET ME DOWN" she shouts
You put her down on her feet and look at her. She punches you slightly into your shoulder and walks away angrily
"You are a horrible person" she says while walking to the bathroom
"I know. And that's why you love me" you say
With these words, Sadie looks at you over her shoulder giving you a sarcastic smile and closes the door

When you are packing your things your phone rings. You look at it and see your sister's name on it
"Hi" you say as you pick up the phone
"Hii Y/n" she says back
"How are you?" You ask
"I am great. I am getting ready for a trip now and i was wondering if you want to go with me. I miss you Y/n" she says
"...i am sorry. I have a plan with Sadie for three days. Maybe after that? We will plan something i promise" you say back
"Oh..okay it's fine. Have fun" she says
You can hear disappointment and sadness in her voice and you feel bad about it but you haven't been with Sadie for a long time
"I am sorry" you say
"It's okay really. I just want to spend more time with you that's all" you hear through the phone
"We will. I promise sis" you say
"Okay. Love you" she says
"Love you too" you say and hang up
You put your phone away with a sad face. Your mom died four years ago and your dad left when you were just a kid. Your sister is three years younger than you. She is your only family and you have taken care of her since your parents are not here
You had hard moments but you were always together. But since you got with Sadie together you are barely talking to each other
"Y/n?" You hear behind you
You quickly wipe your tears away and turn to your girlfriend
"Yeah?" You say back
"Are you okay?" Sadie asks with a worried face
"Yeah of course. I just finished packing" you say
"Okay. I will start with it too" Sadie says and goes for her suitcase

You are downstairs next to the door ready to leave. You have your shoes and jacket on. Your mobile and keys are in your pockets and the suitcase is next to you. You are only waiting for Sadie
While you are waiting you feel a vibration in your pocket. You take your phone and see that Jacob is calling you
You frown confusingly at the phone and pick it up
"Yeah?" You say
"Y/n?!" He says
Jacob is yours and your sister's old friend. He is like your brother and he knows practically everything about you and your sister
"Why are you calling Jacob?" You ask
"Y-Y/n...she is d-..dead" he says with shaking voice
"What? Who?!" You ask still not knowing what is happening
"Your sister...she had an accident a-and...she didn't make it" you hear
In this moment your vision gets slowly blurry and you hear only a ringing sound in your ears
"Y/n? Y/n.." can be heard from your phone
It's getting harder to breathe and everything starts spinning around
I just want to spend more time with you that's all
Her words are playing again and again. She just wanted to be with you but you weren't with her. It's your fault. You didn't take care of her
Tears start rolling down your face when Sadie comes down
"Y/n?? What happened?" She asks as she runs to you
You tell her everything with a shaking and cracking voice. More tears fall down as your girlfriend pulls you into a hug
"I am sorry Y/n" she says
You don't know why but you are getting angry at yourself but mostly at Sadie
"It's not your fault" she continues
But it is your fault
"I know this is not easy" she says
No, she doesn't
"What?!" You say and pull out of her arms
"How can you know it?!" You shout at her
You don't want to yell at her but you can't stop
"You have your loving family but i don't!! She was the only person i had but now i have nothing!!" You continue yelling at her
You can see her sorry eyes but it's still hard to stop. More tears are in your eyes and your emotions are slowly taking control
"They are gone Sadie. All of them!" You say as you break down
"Y/n..i didn't mean it like that" Sadie tries to calm you down
"Well..how did you mean it?! Huh?! You will never understand me. You have your perfect life but i don't!! It's your fucking fault that she is dead. I blocked her because of you!" You shout
You immediately regret it but you can't take it back. Something is stopping you from apologizing. You just turn around and storm out of the house leaving Sadie in tears
You don't know where you are going but by that, you are ready with everything you have your keys in your pocket so you get in the car and drive off

You are driving through the town for a good hour. You are not thinking about anything. Your head goes off when you sit into the car
You don't know what to do. You are basically just driving in the circles like an idiot. After a while, you reach the sign which is signalling the end of the city
You see a familiar road on the right. You turn right and after a few metres of ride you remember this place
The road leads up the hill and from the top is a beautiful view down on the city. You were there with Sadie on your first date
While you are remembering you reach the top and stop the car
You remember that day like it was yesterday. You told Sadie that it's a secret. She didn't know what to expect. And right here in this car at this place, you had your first kiss
Suddenly all memories of you two together fill your head. You have an amazing relationship with her. She is the most important thing in your life
Yeah of course it hurts that you lost your entire family but you didn't lose everything. You didn't lose her
She is still here with you and she wants to be here and you do too. You want to make her happy. You want to feel her close every single night. You want her in your life
If you lose her then you will be able to say that you lost everything, because she is your everything
It hurts that you know you won't be able to hear or see your sister ever again but you can't change it. But what also hurts is the thought that you won't be able to hear, see or feel Sadie ever again. And this fact you can change. You can choose if you will be together or not
You can't change your past but you can change your future

It's 2:37 in the morning and you just parked your car in front of your house. You open the door to the house and see tired and exhausted Sadie leaning against the wall next to the door
She was waiting for you all day but she fell asleep. You soften at the sight on her sleeping
You gently take her into your arms and go to the bedroom. As she is asleep she lays her head on your chest
When you are in the room you lay her carefully down and put a blanket over her. She moves a little to get into a comfortable position and continues in her sleep
You smile at her and quietly walk out of the room and close the door. You go slowly downstairs and sit on the couch in the living room
You take your phone and scroll through your gallery

It's already 9 am and you hear steps on the stairs. You get up and go to the stairs. When Sadie sees you she looks shocked and happy at the same time
"Y/n?...How did you–?" She puts a sentence together still really tired
You just smile at her and pull her into a hug. Her body is intense, you can feel it
"I am sorry Sadie...I love you" you whisper into her ear
This time she completely relaxes, she wraps her arms around you and buries her head into your shoulder
After a few seconds, you can feel a wet spot on your shoulder. You pull out and take her face into your hands. You wipe her tears away and look deeply into her eyes
"I am sorry Sadie, i didn't mean the things i said. It's not your fault. I love you and i want you in my life and that won't change" you say
Her eyes water up even more with this. You kiss her forehead softly and pull her into another hug
