At the Institute
Piper just woke up and was on her way to the kitchen. When Izzy passed her and told her to go to the ops centre. She went to eat something first. Reaching the room she saw everyone waiting for her.
"How are you late? I told you first to come here"said Izzy "Well, I was hungry so I went to the kitchen. I thought that you wouldn't like hungry"answers Piper sitting down "She's right. It's better for her to be late that hungry"says Alec "All right. What are we doing here?"asks Piper "We know who took my memories"says Clary "Who?"asks Piper "Magnus Bane. He's over 300 years old. And, as you can see, he's not exactly shied away from the pleasure of every century. His tastes are both exquisite and quite excessive"says Hodge
Hodge shows pictures of Magnus on the screen.
"He looks like the Downworld's David Guetta"says Clary "He's already a Downworlder. Vampire? Ever seen him in the daylight?"says Izzy "Can you two focus? This is no joke"says Alec "Someone needs to get slayed"comments Piper "Alec's right. Now, Magnus is one of the most powerful warlocks I've ever known. He has a deep mistrust of Shadowhunters"says Hodge "Most"butts in Piper "Well, then why did he help my mom remove my memories? Isn't she a Shadowhunter?"asks Clary "Yes, one of the best. But 'help, might not be the most accurate word. Now, did Magnus provide a service for Jocelyn? Perhaps. But more than likely, your mother paid Magnus handsomely for his magic"says Hodge "Wielicka usually require payment before that help anyone with anything"says Jace "Word from the Clave is that most of the Wielicka have gone into hiding since Valentine began hunting them"says Alec "So how do we find Magnus?"asks Clary "We don't. Magnus finds us. Well set up a meeting, somewhere protected. Lure him out of hiding"says Jace "And I know exactly where we do it"says Piper
She walks to Hodge and takes his tablet and shows an invite to a Downworld rave.
"A Downworld rave. Nice, Piper"comments Jace "And where'd you get that?"asks Alec "You forget that I'm friends with Magnus, big brother"says Piper "Hell never go for it. Not with Valentine trying to kill him"says Alec "Trust me, he will. Especially when I ask him. He won't say no to me"says Piper "Come with me"says Hodge
The six of them walk to the training room. Hodge draws a rune on the floor and he takes out a necklace. He says that they can use this as a payment for him.
"I'll sent Magnus a fire massage to rearrange a meeting. We have to get to him before Valentine does. I can't loose him"says Piper
Piper walks out to her room.
Later
Piper and Izzy were in Izzy's room getting ready. Piper was wearing grey tight dress.
"I like this one"said Piper "Yeah, me too. You definitely are going in this one"
Clary walked in the room. Piper sits down on the bed.
"Jace said you wanted to see me?"asks Clary "That's right. What are you wearing to the Downworlder party tonight?"says Izzy "I don't know. I was thinking about wearing this"says Clary motioning at her clothes "That won't work with Izzy"says Piper "She's right. No Downworlder would be caught dead in that. Plus, it's a party, not a poetry slam"says Izzy "Well, I don't really have any party clothes with me, so..."trails off Clary "So you'll have to wear mine"says Izzy
Izzy gets a great from her closet.
"Okay, that dress is way too tight"says Clary seeing the dress "It's stretchy. Put it on"says Izzy "Ugh, fine"says Clary
Clary puts on the dress and walks out form behind the divider.
"You're so lucky to have such a flat chest. I can never wear that without a bra"says Izzy "Really?" "Really" "You do realize that she just said that you have small boobs, right?"says Piper "Wait, what?"asks Clary
Jace walks in the room.
"Someone's looking badass"says Jace "Oh, thanks"says Clary "Yeah, just ignore me"says Piper from the bed "Sorry, Pipe, haven't seen you there"says Jace "Yeah. Yeah, excuses"says Piper "Clary cleans up well. I'm gonna go see Alec. He never knows what to wear to these parties either"says Izzy "I'll come with you. Maybe he'll see me"says Piper getting up from the bed "I said, I was sorry"says Jace
The two girls walk out and go to their older brother.
In the training room
Alec is preparing his bow what Izzy and Piper comes up to him.
"Pick a weapon. I suggest your whip and your blade"says Alec "What's wrong with you?"asks Izzy "Nothing"says Alec "oh, c'mon, Al. I know you"says Piper "We're going to a Downworlder's rave. You should be a little more excited"says Izzy "it's a mission, not a party"says Alec "Yeah, whatever. Before Clary got here, every day was the same. Go on the mission, kill demons. Go on the mission, kill mission. At least now things are interesting"says Izzy "I mean, she's right"says Piper "Interesting? Valentine is alive and actively seeking the Cup. He threatens our entire world. And we're helping his daughter"says Alec "I think that you're forgetting that he's my father too"says Piper "I didn't. But you were growing up with us, she wasn't. We have no reason to trust her. And she showed up out of nowhere. On top of that, we're gonna end up overpaying some warlock who may or may not have information we need. So, no. I don't find it interesting"rants Alec "Whoa. Feel better now?"asks Izzy "No, I don't"says Alec
Piper hugs Alec.
"How about now?"asks Piper still hugging him "Maybe a little"says Alec smiling a little "You can't keep bottling things up, Alec. It's only a matter of time before that explode. And not the fun kind of explode"says Izzy "All right, let's go"says Alec
Alec pats Piper's back as if telling her to let go.
"And we're not going for the music"says Alec walking out
At the Pandemonium
Jace, Piper and Clary are waiting in line.
"Alec and Izzy are securing the perimeter"says Piper "Are you guys sure this is a good idea? Last time we were here, this place was crawling with vampires"says Clary "Wait, what were you doing here?"asks Piper "Borrowing a motorcycle"says Jace "Of course you were"says Piper
Alec and Izzy walk to the group.
"All clear"says Alec "Do you think red's my colour?"asks Izzy "Iz, with a body like yours, everything's your color"says Clary "Good point"says Izzy "Will you take it off? I'm certain Magnus Bane doesn't want drool on his ruby when we make the exchange"says Alec "You know, I wouldn't be so sure. Most men like it when I admire their jewels"says Izzy "Oh God, Izzy"says Piper "Can you just give it to Jace?"asks Alec "You're such a buzz kill"says Piper and Izzy at the same time
Inside
"Blend in. Keep your weapons ready"says Jace
Jace, Piper and Clary walks off from the rest.
"Magnus"says Piper seeing him "Ah, my sweet cupcake. And I see you came with friends"says Magnus "Hey, Mag. I'm just here to make sure nothing happens"says Piper "Very well, then. Clary Fairchild. You've grown into a beautiful young woman"says Magnus "Magnus Bane. So you're the one who stole my memories"says Clary "At your mother's request. She knew the risk. Show me the jewelry, Shadowhunter"says Magnus
Jace showed the necklace and Magnus tries to grab it but Jace takes it back.
"Give Clary back her memories, and you get the jewelry"says Jace "I have to confirm its authenticity. 'Amor versus nunquam moritur'. 'True love cannot die'. Oh, how I missed this jewel"says Magnus "Now, it's your turn to pay up"says Clary "I wish I could retrieve your memories, but I no longer have them"says Magnus "What? Mag, where are they?"asks Piper "I fed them to a memory demon for safekeeping"answered Magnus "And why the hell would you do that?"asks Jace getting angry "To protect Clary and the Cup. If Valentine ever captured me, he could torture Clary's memories out of me. Just like he tortured Dot"says Magnus "Tortured? Wait, is Dot okay?"asks Clary "You don't know? Dot is dead"says Magnus "How do you know?"asks Clary "I can't feel her magic anymore. Valentine killed her because she would not betray your mother. Come with me, girls. My lair can offer you two protection no Shadowhunter ever could"says Magnus "Wait a minute. Why would Piper have to come with you?"asks Jace "She is also his daughter. When he finds out that she is alive he will want her too"says Magnus "No, I'm not going anywhere with you"says Clary before Piper could "Don't be a fool. Your mother would want you to live"says Magnus "Then help me get my memories back"says Clary "Valentine is hunting you two. And every moment we're outside my liar's protection, is a moment he gets closer to finding us"says Magnus
Magnus opens a portal.
"Come with me. I won't offer again."says Magnus "No, I won't hide from my problems and neither should you"says Clary "Look out!"says a woman from the distance
An arrow from Alec shots a man down. Alec checks the man.
"Who are you?"asks Magnus
"Magnus grabs Piper's hand and drags her with him to the portal.
"Magnus, wait! You're my only hope"says Clary "Valentine found us. I warned your mother this might happen"says Magnus disappearing with Piper "The area's secure. Looks like he was the only assassin"says Izzy "He has a Circle rune on the base of his neck"says Alec "They found us. It's not safe here. Clary, we have to go. Clary"says Jace
The four Shadowhunters walk out of the building
At Magnus' place
Magnus and Piper appear in the living room.
"Mag, what the hell?! Why did you take me?!"asks Piper "I don't want you hurt by Valentine"says calmly Magnus
Suddenly there is a crashing noise outside.
"Cupcake, go to that room"says Magnus "What? Why?"asks Piper "So you'll be safe"says Magnus "What? No. I can help fight"argues Piper "Fine. But be careful"says Magnus after few seconds.
Piper sees a Circle member attacking some warlock so she charges at the man. When she kills him she hears a young warlock trying to wake up her dad who was killed by the Circle. A man sneaks up on the girl.
"Zoe! Watch out!"says Piper
Clary comes out from behind a walk and attacks the Circle member so Piper decides to take Zoe to Magnus.
"Magnus"says Piper
Zoe runs to Magnus and the two hug.
"Go join the others, my dear. This is no place for a little girl. Go. I heard what you did for Zoe. You risked your life without hesitation to save a young warlock child"says Magnus the latter to Clary "She was just a girl and she was in trouble. I had no choice"says Clary "You always have a choice. You're not like the others, Clary Fairchild. Most Shadowhunters protect Downworlders out of sense of duty, but you saved young Zoe because of what was in your heart. You're more like your mother than you will ever know"says Magnus "Magnus, please you can't hide from this battle. Look, Valentine, he found you once, he will find you again. We need to work together. Help me"says Clary "I can summon the demon, but you must make the demand. Now, I warn you retrieving your memories will not be easy"says Magnus "I will do what I have to do"says Clary "All right. But we're not safe here. The lair's location has been compromised. Hold tight, everyone, we're about to move"says Magnus
Magnus changes the location of his lair.
"Ah, much better. Ugh, it's inevitable. After each move, I get the itch to redecorate. Normally, I love a dirty liar, but this is one is just sloppy"says Magnus
Magnus looks at Alec. Alec walks away. Magnus flops a table to stand correctly. He turns to Izzy.
"I believe in payment for services rendered. Thank you for defending the warlocks"says Magnus showing the necklace "I couldn't"says Izzy "Oh, but you could. And you should. The Lightwoods have been wearing this for years. Besides, this would look silly on your brother. About Alec, is he more of a flower or a cologne man?"says Magnus the last sentence whispering to Izzy and Piper who stood close "Okay, so how do we summon the memory demon?"asks Clary "Are you certain? Summoning such a powerful demon could be lethal"says Magnus "I'll do anything to save my mother. Where is the demon?"says Clary "Okay. Pretty boy, get your team ready"says Magnus "You know what to do"says Jace "I'm not taking to you. I'm talking to you"says Magnus pointing at Alec
Alec shrugs when Jace looks at him while Izzy and Piper laugh.
"Come with me"says Magnus to Clary
Magnus shows Clary to a room. The rest of them stay where that were. Suddenly Magnus calls for Jace to prepare Clary. Piper and Izzy were talking when they heard Clary's screaming. After some time the pentagram was done and Magnus and Shadowhunters enter the room.
"Jocelyn was right, your artistry is beyond compare"says Magnus "I don't know about that"says Clary "Oh, the only other person I've known, who could draw as well was Michelangelo, who was excellent in bed, I might add"says Magnus causing Piper to laugh "Okay, someone will have to sit down for this one"says Magnus "I will"says Piper "Well then, we're ready. Everyone the your rightful place..."says Magnus
Piper spaced out. That was until she heard everyone shouting for Alec to not brake the bond. She went to action when the demon wanted to grab Jace. She pushed him away so the demon grabbed her instead.
"Piper. Grab her"says Izzy holding Piper's hand "Hold on"says Alec, him and Jace helping Izzy "The demon is growing stronger!"says Magnus "She's slipping!"says Alec "Clary! Help us"says Alec "Clary, of you kill the demon, your memories will be lost forever!"says Magnus "Help us!"says Izzy
Clary stabs the demon killing him. Piper falls to the floor unconscious.
"Oh my god, Piper"says Clary "Piper, get up. Come on"says Alec
Jace sits and puts Piper's head on his lap.
"Is she gonna be all right?"asks Izzy "I don't know. Does she normally just lay like that without moving"say sarcastically Magnus "Please. Please, get up"says Alec stroking Piper's hair
Suddenly Piper gasps and starts coughing. Jace helps her sit up. Alec seeing his sister awake walks out of the room.
"Hey, you okay?"asks Izzy "Yeah, I'm alright. I'm alright"says Piper "Thank God, you're okay. I couldn't lose you"says Jace "You're not gonna lose me that easy, big brother"says Piper
At the Institute
When the group came back to the Institute Izzy nad make sure that Piper was okay before she left her room. Before she fell asleep Jace and even Clary came to check up on her. Piper was a little sad that Alec didn't come, but she thought that maybe he just jad a lot to do.
