After class at the end of the day Marley walked up to Will's locker and met Mike on her way aa the corridors where emptying.
"Will you coming? Let's go show Mr. Clarke." Mike smiled. Will remained in silence he grabbed his bag then walked up to them both.
"What?" Mike questioned.
"Its about d'Artangan." He whispered. "And the shadow monster." Marlow and Mike instantly knew what this meant, Marley and Mike raced down the hallway to Mr. Clarke's classroom to stop there friends from showing Dart to him.
When they arrived Dustin was about to open the trap to reveal Dart.
"STOP!" Mike yelled running through the doors closely followed by Will and Marley Mike ran up to the trap and starting talking in one breath. "I'm really sorry Mr. Clarke it was a stupid prank."
"What the hell are you doing?!" Dustin questioned while Mr. Clarke looked at them all confused.
"I told them to stop." Mike continued walking to the door. "We need to go. Right now. RIGHT NOW!!!" Mike yelled and they all ran following him to the AV room.
When they reached the door they all walked in but Mike stopped Max, he told her to stay outside and before she could argue he locked the door in her face.
Will told you all how last year at Christmas night he spat something into his sink that looked like Dart, but smaller, and he heard him in his episode the night before.
Max started knocking on the door. "Hello? Guys come on can i come in yet?"
"No!" Mike yelled.
"I don't understand." Lucas started.
"What don't you understand?" Marley asked.
"Will saw something that looked like Dart last year?" Lucas questioned.
"Kind of but there was no tail." Will answered.
"But then he heard it yesterday, the exact same sound." Mike added.
"Why didn't you tell us before?" Dustin asked.
"I wasn't sure." Will mumbled.
"So its a coincidence." Dustin said clearly not wanting anything to happen to Dart.
"Or not. What if when Will was stuck in the Upside Down, he somehow acquired true sight?" Mike suggested.
"That could make sense." Marley reply.
"True sight?" Lucas questioned.
"It gives you the power to see into the ethereal plane." Dustin explained.
"Maybe these episodes that Will keeps having aren't really flashbacks at all." Mike started.
"Maybe somehow Will can see into the Upside Down." Marlow finished.
"So that would mean-" Lucas began.
"Dart is from the Upside Down." Mike finished for him.
"We have to take him to Hopper." Lucas sighed.
"I agree." Marley and Mike said together.
"No way. If we take him to Hopper Dart's as good as dead." Dustin argued.
"He should be dead." Marley argue.
"How can you say that!" Dustin yelled.
"How can you not!" Mike replied. "He's from the Upside Down!"
"Maybe. But even if he is, it doesn't automatically mean he's bad." Dustin replied.
"Your a idiot." Marlow sighed.
"That's like saying just because someone's from the Death Star doesn't make them bad." Mike argued now raising his voice.
"We have a bond." Dustin sighed.
"A bond?! Just because he likes nougat?" Mike questioned.
"No because he trusts me!" Dustin yelled.
"He trusts you." Lucas said sarcastically.
"Yes i promised i would take care of him-" Dustin started but before he could finish he was interrupted by a loud screech from Darts trap.
The screeching continued, and the trap started moving. They could still hear Max outside the door but non of you realised she was trying to unlock the door with a bobby pin. Mike grabbed a microphone and got ready.
"Don't hurt him!" Dustin ordered.
"Only if he attacks." Mike said to them. they all eyed the trap waiting for Dustin to open the trap.
"Just open it already!" Lucas exclaimed.
Dustin grabbed the remote for the trap, they all stood back as he opened it. When Dustin opened the trap Dart rolled out, only he looked very different. It seemed he had grown. He was now a green colour and he had gotten bigger. They all stared at Dart in shock.
"Holy shit." Lucas said.
"What the hell?" Marley questioned loosing concentration. Dart walked a few centimetres away from the trap, he then screeched at them all as two legs grew from behind him.
"Oh shit!" Lucas screamed. Dart looked at them all and roared, this roar was a mix of a shriek, screech and a scream. Mike aimed the microphone and hit Dart with it, only he missed since Dustin moved his arm.
"NO!" Dustin yelled. Dart then started running, off the table and towards the door. Conveniently this was when Max had managed to unlock the door. She looked in shock as Dart ran past her and down the hallway. Marlow and the boys ran to the door to catch Dart but Dustin fell over Max making Lucas fall on him. Mike stepped over everyone to look down the hallway for a sight of Dart.
"What was that?!" Max exclaimed as her, Lucas and Dustin all stood up.
"Dart!" Mike yelled at her.
"What?" Max said confused.
"You let him escape!" Mike yelled at Max.
"Why did you attack him!" Dustin yelled pushing Mike.
Mike brushed Dustin off him grabbed Marlow by the arm and started running down the corridor. "Come on."
"Don't hurt him. DON'T YOU HURT HIM!!" Dustin yelled to them both as Mike dragged Marley down the corridor.
After Mike disappeared with Marlow down the corridor, everyone else caught up to them both.
"Right lets sort this out." Lucas started. "We will split up and use the walkie's to communicate." Lucas handed out all the walkie's which he had managed to carry to everyone.
"And when we find Dart we don't hurt him." Dustin added.
"Fine. But I get Marlow." Mike said.
"And why do you get Marley?" Max questioned.
"No reason just the extra help." Mike answered, knowing Marley would go anywhere to be able to get him since she was so small.
"No thats not fair. I want Marley." Dustin said.
"No i do." Lucas argued.
"Can't she just do what she wants." Will mumbled. Mike, Lucas and Dustin continued to argue until Marley stepped in.
"SHUT UP!" She immediately grabbed everyone's attention. "If you all want the extra help then i suggest you do Rock Paper Scissors because while your all whining Dart is getting further away."
The boys all listened too Marley and payed Rock Paper Scissors. First Dustin and lucas played, Lucas ended up wining so then it was Mike an Lucas, Mike won then Mike and Will played. Overall Mike ended up wining, Marlow noticed that Will looked down.
"I'll come and look with you in a bit." She whispered in his ear, he looked happier. They all spread out to look for Dart.
Marley and Mike went from corridor to corridor. After checking each one they would tell the boys if anything was there.
"East is clear. No sign of Dart." Mike said into his walkie.
"Where'd you go you little bastard." Marley mumbled to yourself. Non of them knew who was in the building with them.
Marlow and Mike continued down the corridor which lead them too the gym. Mike opened the door for Marlow and as you both walked in they saw the boys bathroom door at the back of the gym shut. Marlow and Mike both exchanged worried looks then charged down to the bathroom.
Mike slowly opened the door and they both crept into the darkness. They both couldn't see much, as they walked around the corners trying there hardest not to make a sound. Mike picked up a broom for defence and they continued walking. As they were about to come to the end of the bathroom, around the corner Marley head some things fall down and clatter. Marlow and Mike pressed there backs against the wall trying not to be seen, they both waited a few seconds and nodded to each other.
Mike jumped around the corner screaming holding the broom out, Marley followed but instead of screaming and jumping she kept her cool and walked around. To your surprise it wasn't Dart, it was Max.
"What the hell are you both doing?" Max questioned.
"What are you doing?" Mike exclaimed. "Why are you in here?"
"I'm looking for Dart." Max argued.
"This is the boys room." Mike said tensely.
"Yeah so?" Marley is here." Max said pointing to you.
"So you should go home." Mike yelled throwing the broomstick across the room. Mike charged out of the bathroom leaving Marley and Max alone.
"Sorry Max." She sighed and ran after Mike.
"Why do you hate me so much Mike?" Max said running after them both.
"I don't hate you. How can I hate you i don't even know you." Mike said walking to the door.
"But you don't want me in your party." Max argued.
Mike exhaled. "Correct!"
"Why not?" Max questioned.
Mike stopped in his tracks ad turned around to Max. "Because your annoying! Also we don't need another part member. I'm our paladin, Will's our cleric, Marlow's our puppeteer, Dustin's our bard, Lucas is our ranger and El's our mage."
Marley eyed Mike making him realise he had mentioned Eleven.
"El? Who's El?" Max questioned.
"Someone... No one." Mike mumbled.
"Someone or no one." Max said sarcastically. "Marley who is she?" Max turned to you.
"El was-" Marlow started before Mike interrupted.
"She was in our party a long time ago. She moved away okay?" Mike said getting frustrated, he grabbed Marleys arm and pulled her around walking to the door again.
Max jumped on her skateboard and followed the both of you.
"She was a mage? What could she do like magic tricks or something?" She paused then stopped her skateboard in front of them both. "Well i could be your zoomer."
"That's not even a real thing." Mike argued.
"It could be." Max smirked, she dropped her skateboard on the ground and stared going in circles around Mike. "See zoomer."
"Mind blowing." Mike sighed.
Marley decided to leave them to argue and go see how Will was doing. As she left the gym Marley felt as if someone was watching her, when she looked behind her there was no one there but and empty corridor. As she was walking she heard a static voice from her walkie, it was Will.
"Guys i found him." He mumbled.
"Where?" Dustin questioned.
"In the bathroom by Mr. Salerno's." Will responded.
"On my way." Marley said into the walkie.
As they ran down the corridor to get to the bathroom they saw Will run out. He looked petrified and that something was really wrong.
"Will are you okay?" Marley questioned but she didn't get a response."Will can you hear me?" Marley asked to Will.
"Marley?" He questioned.
"Yes it me. Are you alright? Where is Dart?" Before Marley could get and answer a large dust like shadow filled the end of the corridor coming after them both, or maybe just Will. It started getting closer, Marley felt herself getting scared and Will too.
"RUN!" She yelled grabbing Will's hand and racing down the corridor with him. They arrived at the doors which lead you outside. Marley and Will threw the doors open and ran out onto the field, she looked at Will, the poor kid looked scared out of his mind. After running some more, he came to a stop.
"Will why did you stop come on!" Marley yelled.
"I cant let you risk your life for me." He mumbled.
"WILL STO-" Before Marley could finish she fell backwards and were back in reality. Will was still there but he couldn't see her, he continued running away from the shadow monster till he came to a stop. Marley watched as Will turned to face the school building, which in his view was where the monster was. As you stood up to get to him he stopped moving, his eyes sealed shut and he stood straight and didn't move a muscle. Marley jumped up and ran over to him to him. She kept shaking Will and felt tears forming in her eyes, just then Mike and Lucas came running up to them both on the field.
"Marley what happened!" Mike exclaimed as he came next to her and Will.
"I don't know, I was there in the upside down" she exclaimed. "It wants Will."
"Do you think its an episode?" Lucas questioned.
"Maybe. Go get help Lucas." Mike ordered.
Lucas ran of back into the school building and Marley and Mike continued to try and wake Will up. After a few seconds Lucas returned with Max, Dustin and Joyce.
"He was just like this! I think he's having another episode." Mike yelled to Joyce.
"Will?" Joyce questioned putting both her hands on Will's shoulders. "Sweetie wake up. Its mom" She said
"Marley was there, she saw it too." Mike explained looking at Joyce After some time Will's eyes finally shot open.
