Sara's POV
"Shreya!!! You're out of your mind",I yelled at the phone as I entered my dad's office
He had called me to talk about some important thing.And guessing by his tone,I knew it was far more than important
So I've been giving myself the prep from last night to face whatever happens in here
"What makes you so angry this early in the morning?",the billionaire businessman in his neat suit and tie asked in a rather intrigued tone than a concerned one
"It's my friend.. .. ..She was talking about her boyfriend and requested me a favour which I declined",I said not making eye contact with him
"Is that so Sara?",His voice was slightly raised which left me startled
"When do you plan on telling me about your boyfriend?",he asked with anger evident in his eyes
"What!!??....I don't know what you are talking about ",I said composing myself
"Stop playing games with me, princess.I know about your Spy boy",He said through gritted teeth
"No.. .. He's not my.. ..",I began to speak but immediately stopped as he banged his hands at the desk angrily
"Just shut up if you are gonna keep telling me lies",he yelled at me loudly
"I didn't know he was a spy.And I didn't know he was after you.Besides we weren't even dating",I said honestly and his face softened a bit on hearing my reply
"It's good that you know now",he said in a cold tone
"But why was he after you?What did you do?Was it something ill...",I said gulping down hard
"You don't have to worry about that baby girl.We are safe.They can't do anything unless they find out the last piece of evidence ",He replied with an evil grin on his face,while stressing on the word 'We'
"But. ..as far as I can remember it felt like they were successful in getting every evidence",I asked focusing on the new information which left me confused and concerned
He left out a hysterical laugh as he walked around the room.
"I mean I don't wanna be the one paying the price for your sins,in case you miscalculated this",I said staring right at him waiting for an answer
"Oh I never could,dear",he said grinning wider
"I played them like a fool and made them believe they were winning"
"While in reality,the important evidence that could finish this puzzle and prove my doings was right here with me,all the time."
"I did everything I could do with my power to get hold of this even before they could think of it",he said pointing at a drive in his hands
"Poor guys!!They believed they had me when they were plotting their own destruction ",He said with a smirk on his face while I stood there trying to process every single thing he said
"And you dear,you should stay out of all this.That's the right thing to do for your safety.Hope you won't mind when I finish off your ex-flame",he said as my head snapped towards him
"Or is that a problem?",he asked arching his eyebrows
"It's not like I had feelings for him.We were just hanging out.So I don't really care anymore ",I said sternly as I began walking
"Hold on",he said in a calm voice, stopping me
I turned to face him
"If you were hanging out with him,maybe you could provide some information for me,I guess",he said with his cunning smile
"You already know the answer to that.I don't know anything about his or his team's spy side.Moreover I don't want any ties with them or anyone who's associated with them,even if it's my bestfriend ",I said staring right back at him
He gasped at my response, probably understanding why I was mad before
I gave him a nod as I stromed out of the office
I quickly went to my room and shut the door tight.I scanned around the room just to be sure
"Did you get that Shreya?",I said adjusting my watch to make sure she was connected in
"Are you kidding?You totally rocked it !!!",She squealed loudly
"Chill!!!Are you trynna make me deaf?",I asked rolling my eyes
"Honestly you nailed it Sara.I can't believe we got this much information from his own mouth!!!",she said as I could feel her smiling
"It was a brilliant plan by the way,to make him believe I fought with you and I hate my Spy boy.",I said air quoting the words Spy Boy
It was necessary to make him believe that I don't care about any of them.Cause if he knew,he would do anything to get the information he needs from me
I need to be careful not to leave any traces that might cause suspicion
He should never know Shreya was the best friend I was talking about
"Thank you so much Sara.It would help the guys so much",she said in a soft tone
"No it's alright.This is a payback for my father's sins.I knew he wasn't a saint and I was certain that he would be the bad guy in the picture",I said grinning
"So you are not mad at Veer?",She asked out of the blue making me feel overwhelmed
"I don't know.I am still mad at him,I guess",I said thinking about it
"Wait!!! Don't tell me he's listening to this,right now",I said panicking
"No!! He's not,but someone else is here.Since I needed the technical support",she replied with an awkward laugh
"Oh hey,Hello Sameer",I said casually
"Hey Sara. ..Emm..This is so awkward.But I couldn't thank you enough for your help",he said casually but I could feel his smile
"As I said earlier,I feel like it's the least I could do",I said genuinely
"Wait!!How did you find it was him?",Shreya asked in a chirpy voice
"Oh well, It's no big secret to guess",I said grinning
I heard her groan from the other side, followed by a muffled laugh
"Well,then see you later",I said hoping to get their attention
"Take care,Sara",Shreya said sounding concerned
"Don't sweat it out.I'll be fine",I said as I ended the call

Sameer's POV
"Let's go tell them",Shreya got up excited as the call with Sara ended
I grabbed her by the wrist to stop her.I could tell she was startled by my behaviour
"I should definitely do the honours of thanking you",I whispered leaning by her side as I engulfed her in a warm hug
"It was really nice of you to plan and do all this for us even after what I.. ..I did",I added with a sense of guilt
I didn't know what to expect from her
I just wished things never got messed up the way it did
How peaceful it would have been to have a normal confession and her saying those words back?And a happily ever after like the ones in the books?
But no!!!
A spy can never have a love story that isn't twisted
She moved her face to look at me.Her eyes held emotions which I couldn't decode
"Look.. .. I'm not sure about what to say.But for the record,I would like to say you guys aren't bad."
"Let's just say we both were in a bad situation",She said fiddling with the hem of her dress which clearly meant she was nervous
"Just by being here with me ,you managed to vanish all my anger and doubts."
"It gave me a better view to understand you–understand that you are still the same sweet guy,I tried to hit with my bat",she confessed as we both couldn't hold back our smiles at the last part
"So. ..can we start fresh?",I asked with a tint of hope
"I promise that everything else was real and genuine apart from my occupation",I said as she chuckled
"I trust you,Mr.Intruder",she said taking my hand in hers
"So it's all good between us?No grudges,right?",I asked as a smile formed across my face.
She now smiled too, remembering those beautiful words
"Yeah,only if you promise to never give up on us ",she said chuckling as I held her hands even tighter
"Never..",I said as I started at her longingly
"Let's get going.They will be really happy to hear the news",she said breaking my daydream
We walked over to the hall to see everyone busy in something
"Guys!!!I kinda have an announcement ",I said trying to gain their attention without alarming them
"What is it?Are you getting married?",Veer asked dramatically
"Haha ...Very funny,Veer Malhotra",I said faking a laugh
"What is it then?",Shiv asked munching down some popcorn
"The real last evidence is in Varma's headquarters",I said in a serious tone
"Sources?",Aarav asked raising his eyebrows.I signaled Shreya as she nodded in response
"Here",Shreya said handing him her phone
"Play the recording",Shiv suggested looking at the screen
After playing it,their faces was mixed with a number of emotions
"We should get it",Aarav said sternly
"Soon",Shiv added
"We'll discuss about this at 8.Get ready",Aarav said as he left the room
"Is that some kind of auspicious time of the day?",I wondered but let it go
I turned around laughing at his words when I saw Veer standing there in a distressed state
"Are you ok?",I asked when the answer was well written all over his face
"No!! I'm not,Sameer",he said as he frowned
"She did all this to help us.So she knows why I left her.She must be hating me now",he said in a lost tone
"What makes you think that she hates you when she herself went against her own father just to help us,Veer?",I asked placing my hands on his shoulders as he looked at me confused
"Veer... It's not that she doesn't love you or feels bitter about you lying to her.She just wants to know that you feel the same way....."
"......The same way enough to fight against all odds and prove that you love her",I said explaining my point of view
"You think that'll work?But what if she doesn't trust me?",he asked wondering about something
"That should be a quite tough job to make her trust again.But if you put it this way,did you know that she was Varma's daughter?"
"No"
"Did you meet and spend time with her just to get something for the mission?"
"No"
"Was deceiving and hurt her was even you intention?",
"Absolutely not"
"Lastly,Do you think she would be bothered that you are a spy trying to take out the bad guys?",I laughed stressing on the words bad guys
"I guess no",he replied after wondering
"Then there is nothing to feel guilty or worry about.You both just need a hearty talk to sort out the misunderstandings.That's the end of it",I smiled
"Wow!!Was that this simple?",he smiled back
"Just settle all the commotion regarding this mission.Then save your princess from the cruel king.And start your love story ",I said patting his back
It sounds cliche,I know
"Since when did you become an expert in conversations like this?",Veer teased me,smirking
"I always was.."I said making a face at him
He smiled as he began to walk away.As he took a few steps he stopped and turned back.He opened his mouth to say something,when I stopped
"Save the thank yous and love yous bro.I'd rather appreciate anything that has something to do with chocolates",I said as my smirk grew bigger
"We'll see about that",he said as he burst into laughter

Aarav's POV
"So.....?",I asked everyone
"How do we plan on entering his highly secured base?",I asked the obvious
"Maybe Sara can help....", Shreya begun
"Noo....We don't wanna put her into more trouble.And it would make Varma suspicious of her",Veer cut her in,firmly
"You're right",she hummed back
"We just need a pass to enter.....",Shiv said thinking seriously
"Perhaps we can use some of our old tricks",Sameer suggested
"Like entering through the vents?",Veer smirked teasingly
"What?You can really fit in a vent?", Shreya asked amused as Sameer sent death glares towards Veer
"Yes.But can we focus here a bit....", Sameer said giving a sly smile as he waved his hands in the air frantically, bringing the attention back to the original conversation
"We could impersonate someone to enter the building", I suggested after thinking
"Now that's what I was talking about",Sameer said nodding his head at Veer and Shreya as they just shrugged it off
"But how?",Veer questioned
"I've went through the employee book of Varma Industries",Shiv said placing the book on the table
How on earth did he get this!?!
"Anything useful?",I questioned keeping my thoughts to myself
"Hmm.....It has the list of people who work at the base.I guess it could be useful",Shiv said giving Aarav a look
"Wait!!! I've seen this guy somewhere",Sameer said placing his hand on a particular page on the book
"Oh... I've seen him too",Veer exclaimed
"Where?And who exactly he is?",Shiv asked in confusion
"Vishal Ratan,Chief Financial Officer of Varma Industries",Veer replied
"Aww.... thank you,sweetheart for literally reading what's already written in the book!!",I said rolling my eyes at him
"But the book didn't mentioned he's additicted to Americanos",Veer said grinning widely
But I couldn't get how this was related to what we really want.Shiv's confused face mirrored mine
"Guess who's a devoted customer to Imperial Café", Sameer said with a smirk spread across his face
Me and Shiv gasped at the same time letting the information sink in
"So Target locked?",I asked with a evil grin on my face
"By all means",Veer replied as we looked at each other with a smile we can't hide
