So... here it is. It's been a long time coming.
Just to note, I've had this idea for a while now. However, I recently happened to learn that a good friend of mine on here, kayla_gummy_bear, has also published a ghost AU of her own. I reached out to her just in case and we checked in with each other. I can confirm that our plots aren't the same (but they're definitely both amazing 😉). So if you need another awesome Ghost AU to read alongside this one, please please please check out her story, as well as the rest of the fics on her account!
Aside from that, I would put this story on a T rating: it's not explicit with either dirty stuff or violence, but it also does feature some darker topics that are only mentioned.
I don't know how long this story is going to be yet, to be honest. I will say that The Captain's Bride is my Magnum Opus in terms of fanfics, but I don't know if I'll be able to drag this one out for that many chapters. Since I don't want the story to just be pointless filler, we'll see!
Finally, though I'll follow the show's rules, I've added some concepts of my own regarding ghosts. I hope you enjoy them ☺.
