"Saigee, Girl we missed you!!" Heaven squealed before hugging her tightly along with everyone else.
It was something about being in LA that made Saige forget about all of her problems. The way this friend group always welcomes her and is always drama and negativity free always gets her and she always enjoyed every second that she spent with them.
"And who's this and where's the weirdo ?" Naomi asked
"Oh this is my friend Dre, Chris is back home." Saige introduced and everyone nodded before dapping Dre up
"You look familiar..?" Demauri asked
"I play basketball.." Dre shrugged assuming that maybe he knew him from watching college ball on tv.
Demauri nodded. "Oh yeaaa you play up in New York, what you doing down here?" Demauri asked causing for Dee to look at Saige for an answer and Saige looked at Dre causing for his attention to go to his phone
"Don't look at me, them your friends." He mumbled
"We both just needed a mental health break." Saige waved off
"Well there's a party going on tonight, you guys should come with" Sydney offered before eyeing Dre.
Dre picked up on her vibe before licking his lips
"We can slide."
Saige noticed the vibe between the two and she cleared her throat before speaking.
"What are we doing until then?" Saige asked
"You tell us, we usually have a planned out day for you, but since this was kind of last minute we didn't have time to really plan." Jordan said causing for Saige to laugh
"Um can we make a mall run ? I didn't really pack any party clothes ?" Saige asked before looking at Dre and he shrugged
"Mall run it is." Naomi smiled before walking beside Dre
after a while of the group walking around the mall, shopping, and catching up on everything that they had missed, Saige had finally came across and decent outfit
"Okay what about this ?" Saige asked before walking out the dressing room only to see Dre waiting on her.
"Where's everyone else ?" I asked
"smoke break." Dre replied with his attention on his phone
"You didn't go with ?" Saige asked while adjusting her jeans
"Nah." He replied with his attention still on his phone causing for Saige to tilt her head at him.
She was wondering why he had been acting so dry and obviously it had something to do with whatever that was on his phone. She didn't want to approach the situation because it honestly wasn't her business or her place to care about what he does.
eventually, Saige walked over before raising his phone down to his lap causing for him to look up at her
"No phone, outfit." She told him before slightly backing up and doing a 360 causing for Dre to lick over his lips and stare for a while
"What ? is the top too tight ? should I put on something else ? obviously i'm not wearing these shoes though-"
"Saige it looks fine, I like it." He smiled before admiring her outfit.
Everything about Saige was different since the last time he had seen her. He remembers Saige as this tiny little girl and now she's a woman with with a perfect body and a mindset as a plus.
She had on some stacked leather jeans that fitted her butt nicely, with a brown cami corset cropped top that lifted her boobs nicely
"I don't known Dre something is off." She said while examining her outfit
"Saige it's fine, it's the shoes you have on now, but I promise it looks good." Dre said before continuing to admire her outfit
"Ok, i'll get it." She slightly smiled before going back into the dressing room to change back into her clothes
After they made it to the register, Saige pulled out her wallet to pay but Dre furrowed his eyebrows before stopping her and handing the lady his card.
"What are you doing ? I got it." Saige told him
"I don't care." He told her with his attention now back on his phone
Saige didn't really like for people to pay for her things, she hated whenever it would come back up in arguments or whenever the same person wanted something, Chris still spoiled her occasionally when she would let him, but Saige would always sneak and find a way for her to pay for her own things.
"Thank you." She told him and he waved her off
"No issue."

"So how did y'all meet ?" Naomi asked just out of curiosity. Naomi had been feeling Dre for some reason but Dre was only feeling the thought of fucking her.
"Oh um, we met back at home in Brooklyn." Saige waved off not trying to say too much
"Through school or.."
"Um-"
"We were together." Dre interrupted causing for Saige to look over at him
"Back it up." Jordan started
"So you're out on a trip with your ex while you and Chris are still together ??" Jordan asked and Saige grew extremely uncomfortable
"Chris is ok with it, we're friends now and we dated as kids so it doesn't even count." Saige waved off causing for Dre to side eye her.
Dre didn't go around telling people that him and Saige were a thing, but he definitely didn't consider their relationship as not counting. He had true feelings for Saige before they broke up and he still had a soft place in his heart for her.
"Yo." Dre spoke before looking up from his phone
"Change the subject." He added since he noticed Saige getting uncomfortable. His attention went right back onto his phone causing for Saige to sigh.
"Ok... we feel like you come up here s lot but it's never the other way around, when can we come see you ?" Heaven asked
Heaven honestly loved having Saige in her friend group even if it was only occasionally. Saige always came with a positive and loyal vibe plus she was down for whatever.
"Maybe during the summer ? there's not much in Greensboro but there's a lot in Charlotte ?" Saige asked causing for them all to nod
Saige had finished eating her food along with everyone else before they got up and dumped their food in the nearby trash can.

After making it to the air bnb, Saige walked inside with his attention so occupied on his phone that he had forgotten to close the door behind him.
I slammed the door shut immediately catching his attention and he furrowed his eyebrows before looking at me.
"Literally what has been having your attention all day Dre ??" I sighed
"Nigga why do you care ? i'm just another nigga that doesn't count shit towards you right ?" He asked and I shook my head
"I'm just saying, I was genuinely trying to have a good time but you were too busy being sassy towards my friends because you were so caught up on your phone."
"Your friends are nosey and thirsty" he added causing for my mouth to drop.
"You are literally still the exact same Deondre." I mumbled
"How ?? i'm confused on why the fuck you're mad at me because I was chilling on MY phone, you must've forgotten the reason that we're up here, I be having shut to do Saige damn!" he said while slightly raising his voice and I put my hands up in surrender before brushing past him
"Cool Dre." I mumbled as I continued walking towards the bathroom to start getting ready
I could care less about what he was doing, I just wanted him to know that how he was acting was very rude and selfless, he barely even acknowledged my friends when all they were trying to do was welcome him.
A few minutes later, Dre stopped at the bathroom door frame before looking at me.
"What?" I asked
"What is yo problem ?" He asked noticing the irritation in my voice.
"I don't have one." I mumbled and he shook his head before approaching me.
I confusingly turned around to face him before furrowing my eyebrows
"Then why you got a attitude ?" He asked causing for me to roll my eyes but that only made him step closer
"I don't have a attitude Dre, I really don't care and i'm trying to get ready." I said while breaking eye contact causing for him to tilt my chin up to look at him.
"You don't care? Look at me when you say that shit then." Dre said before licking over his bottom lip. we made intense eye contact for another minute and his hand ran down to my neck causing for me to back up.
"Dre.." I sighed before shaking my head but he pulled me closer to his body while continuing to stare deep into my soul.
"If you want me to stop, Speak up." He added
After a while of silence he started leaning towards me causing for me to back up again.
"I want you to stop Dre." I sighed and he raised his eyebrows before raising his hands away from me.
"I'm with Chris and-"
"I know, you're loyal.. I understand." he interrupted
"I'm sorry if I confused you."
"You didn't, no need to apologize, we got time." He said causing for me to furrow my eyebrows
"What's that supposed to mean ?"I asked
"It means exactly what it sounds like, we have time. Right now might not be for us, but eventually it will be." He smiled before placing a gentle kiss on top of my forehead.
Just then his phone started ringing and he looked at it before looking at me.
He answered the face-time call and eventually his little sister Dominic appeared in the camera
"Did you not look at what I sent you ?? I need help with this and i'm stressed out." she sighed
"Look who i'm with." he told her before showing me in the camera and he eyes went wide causing for me to smile.
"Saige!! Oh my gosh I haven't seen you in forever i've missed you!!" she squealed
"I've missed you tooo Dominic, what are you stressed about ?" I asked in a concerned tone
"Well, ima auditioning for something kind of big today and i've been stressed about it all day today, and now I don't know what to wear, because first impressions are everything and I don't want to over dress or underdress and-"
"Dominic breath." I told her and she nodded before doing so
"You're going to do fine, you're so talented so please be kind to yourself. My advise is to wear something that gives you, you want to be comfortable for things like this and that means being yourself." I advised
"But being myself won't get me the role." she groaned
"Trust me, I turned down a modeling gig because I knew I wouldn't be comfortable and I wouldn't enjoy it, you don't want to get into something that you know you won't enjoy later down the road. If you get the role from just simply doing you, then it's for you, but if you don't, then it's not, the right thing will come up eventually." I told her
"You're right." She smiled
"And you have my number, just because me and Dee stopped talking doesn't mean we had too, I love you girl and i'm always here ok?" I told her and she nodded
"I love you tooo!" she smiled and I handed the phone back to Dre
"Sooo are y'all getting back together??" she asked and I rolled my eyes
"Saige has a boyfriend Dominic." He chuckled causing for her to sigh loudly
"Whatever, bye." She told him
"Bye, I love you, and don't be running around with that ugly ass little boy-"
Interrupting his sentence she hung up in his face causing for me to laugh.
"You weren't the only one who had to put a pause on life back home, She's been the reason that i've been so caught up in my phone all day, because I was supposed to help her prepare for the audition but I couldn't." He said
"You didn't have too, I don't want anyone else getting hurt because of me." I shrugged I began gathering things for my shower
"I know, but be ready in an hour." He told me and I rolled my eyes as I dug through my suit case.

Once everyone pulled up to the party, the front yard was infested in red solo cups and empty bottles. The music was so loud, that they could hear every lyric word for word regardless of how far they parked.
The group walked inside and heads immediately turned to look at them. Saige felt a little out of place because she didn't see any familiar faces like how she would've at s party back home.
"You ok ?" Dre asked Saige and she nodded
"I'm fine."
"I want a drink, Dre come with ?" Naomi asked but before he could reply she pulled him away by his arm.
Saige raised her eyebrows before turning towards heaven as they started feeling the music.
"There's a cup pong game going on over there, do y'all wanna team up and whoop some ass?" Heaven slightly yelled over the music and everyone agreed
"Umm i'll just watch for this one!" Sydney told them but everyone knew that she was doing that anyways.
Sydney didn't like drinking or smoking at all. she hated the way it made her feel and she hated not having control over her body so she always skipped out. She would often have a few coolers here and there, but those barely had any alcohol in them so she didn't mind having one or two.
Pretty much, Sydney was the baby out of the group. She had a nice caramel skin tone and she always wore her natural hair out. she sat about 5'6, and she was very tiny and petite. She had very strict parents growing up, so as soon as she hit college, she took her freedom and ran with her friends which her parents hated.
The group made their way over to the ping pong table and eventually joined in the game.
Jordan went first landing the ball into the first cup and we cheered for him as his opponent downed the shot and took a go at his turn.
It didn't take long enough for Saige to down a few drinks into her system, and she was feeling enough alcohol to back away from the game.
"I'm done y'all for that" Saige laughed and they ended the game shortly after
After about two hours into the party, the group were all vibing and having s good time. All of Saige's distractions had left her mind and she had felt more happier then she had in a while.
"I have to pee, where's the bathroom ?" Saige asked
"Upstairs, i'll come with you." Heaven offered but Saige waved her off
"You're good, i'll be ok I have my phone on me." Saige told her and she shook her head
"No ma'am let's go." She said before leading Saige upstairs towards the bathroom.
Saige went inside and quickly relieved herself. she finished up wiping, washing her hands, and fixing herself up before leaving out the bathroom but she surprisingly bumped into a female figure
It wasn't long until Saige felt some wet and warm on her chest and her mouth fell open once she realized the girl had thrown up all over her.
"Oops." She smirked causing for Saige to mug her
"What it was a accident ?"She laughed and everyone around her began laughing
"Yea ight, how about I accidentally best yo ass." Saige smiled before walking towards the girl but Heaven grabbed her.
"No no, you're good, just go clean yourself up." Heaven told her and she continued mugging the girl as she walked back inside the bathroom
"I hate bitches." Saige angrily cursed as she heard the bathroom door open
"someone is in here get the fuck out before I mace you." I said without looking up
"Chill out it's me, what happened ?" Dre asked before walking over snd looking at my top
"Bitch threw up on me and thought the shit was so funny, I hope she akeke when I throw her ass over the rail." Saige angrily said
She was honestly pissed, it seemed like the girl envied her and wanted to ruin her shine on purpose.
Saige began to immediately wipe off her chest and Shirt and she sighed before shaking her head
"I have to go." she sighed
"Hm." He told me before stripping his shirt off and handing it to me
"You can't walk around shirtless Dre-"
"I have a jacket in the car, I'll run and go get it, but don't let that ruin your night, take the shirt, crop it and do whatever the fuck you have to do." He chuckled and she gave him a small smile before shaking her head
"ima sun and go get it, keep yo phone on you." He told her and she nodded before he left
Saige wasn't thinking about being unloyal towards Chris at all, but it shocked her at how much Dee had changed, it was like she was meeting a different person and it left her with a comfortable feeling.
After a while, Saige eventually got get her smile back and she was back downstairs dancing and having a great time.
She had a few more drinks in her system, but once Dre noticed a new red cup he took it out of her hand
"Where did you get this ? I wrote yo name on your cup so you wouldn't loose track of it." Dre told her
He knew that niggas were crazy, and even though it seemed childish, he didn't want to risk anyone slipping anything in her drink.
"Relaxx, It's a brand new cup see." Saige slurred before holding it up at him
"Mhm." He mumbled before dumping it.
"Whaat ? hugggh fine i'll get s new cup." she sighed but Dre shook his head.
"I got something for you." Dre told her before pulling her over to where the island was. He secretly grabbed a bottle of water before pouring it in her cup that previously had alcohol in it.
"Here."Dre told her before handing her the cup and She gave him a smile before pulling him back into the crowd as she danced her way through.
After a while he noticed Saige getting drowsy, so Dre decided that it was time for them to head back.
"Aye we heading out." Dre informed Heaven as he held Saige's arm
"Okay, make sure my girl makes it in safe ok ?" she asked and Dre gave her s head nod
"Dre?" Saige asked
"hm?" he replied before opening the door for her and helping her inside
"I'm really cold." She whined
"I'm turning the heat on for you." He chuckled before doing so.
"I could get hypothermia.. and die." She gasped
"Saige it's not that cold." Dre sighed
"I'm finna cry.." She whined and he shook his head before laughing
he kept his eyes on the road while occasionally looking over at her and admiring her. He was used to Saige always acting like a big ass baby whenever she would come back and town and party with him, but his main concern as of right now was making sure that she got back in bed and was comfortable.
After the drive, Saige opened her own door and stumbled for a while causing for Dre to run over and help her
"I got it."
"No you don't." He chuckled before throwing her arm over his shoulder
"No seriously, i've somehow been drinking water for the past forty five minutes, I'm good to walk at least." She laughed before slightly rubbing her head and he freed her
The two walked up the the door as Saige reflected on the time she had.
"But like when Heaven started throwing ass I was like Da-"
"Wait shh." Dre told her causing for her to furrow her eyebrows
There was something off about the door knob, it was a little looser than before and he knew something wasn't right.
He placed his hand on his belt before slowly creeping the door open.
Just then a red beam light appeared on the middle of Saige's forehead causing for him to push her down to the ground was soon as bullets started flying.
Saige let out a loud scream out of fear and Dre looked at her concerned before checking her jody to make sure she wasn't hit.
He pulled his gun out from his pants before peeking from around the couch as he began blowing back, hitting one of the guys in their arm.
"Fuck!"
"Stay down." He instructed her as he attempted to peek around again but they were sending bullets back.
rom wha he could tell, there were four men, one was down wincing in pain. One man was in the door way by the kitchen, another was by the doorway to the hall, and two were on the opposite side of the living room.
Dre moved to the side before mocking down s book shelf causing for them to shoot towards it, and once the two can out behind the couch, he shot both of them directly in the heads causing their brains to splatter on the wall.
The other two attempted to close me in, but he signaled for Saige to be quit as they started walking over. She brought her knees up to her chest before holding her head down.
As soon as one got close to Dre, he slid out his pocket knife before slicing a deep cut into his ankle causing him to fall and drop his gun. The other dude shit towards me, but he grabbed his gun off the floor before pulling the trigger on both his and the man's at both of the men causing their body's to fall to the ground.
"Fuck I gotta call Ant." he winced before reaching for my phone and key
Saige looked at him concerned before scooting over to him and touching his shirt, it was bloody and she figured that he had been shot.
"We need to get you to the hospital." Saige told him before standing up
"Nah I gotta move us, find somewhere safe to go and see what the fuck is going on down in NC."!He said
"Deondre you're bleeding, i'm taking you too a hospital-"
"It's a graze Saige i'm fine. This shit hurts, but i'm fine." He said before standing up
"Grab yo bags let's move." Dre told her
"But Dre you're-"
"Saige let's fucking move!" Dre slightly raised his voice causing for Saige to jump a little.
the two scavenged around the house to gather their things before throwing them in the car. Dre was updating Anthony throughout the whole process, and Anthony made the decision to be up there first thing in the morning. He had to make some calls to some people that he had in LA, to go and take care of the bodies and fix the house up like nothing ever happened.
Once they made it to the car they rode in silence for a while as Saige payed her head against the window. Dre had felt bad, he'd never really raised his voice at Saige and he wasn't planning on it.
Dre let out a sigh before scratching the back of his head.
"Aye my bad, for yelling I was just trying to get us out of that house." He told her
"It's cool I don't care." Saige shrugged him
But she did, she just wanted to be helpful in this situation and not worry about herself for once. She hated the thought of anyone else getting hurt because of her.
"Are you okay though ? like real shit ?" He asked
"Dre i'm fine, you're the wounded one, you shouldn't even be driving right now." she told him
"I don't have a choice Saige, if you get hurt, I-" he paused causing for her to look at him
"You what ?" she asked while raising one eyebrow
"Nothing."
"No you what Deondre ?" She asked again causing for him to sigh
"If you go back with even a scratch on yo body, that my life. I was working with Mani pushing to pap's product but I didn't know that it was his, so once yo paps goes for Mani's head that mine too, so I at least owe this one to him." He explained
"My daddy wouldn't kill Mani over this shit." I waved off and he gave me a unsure look
"What?" I asked and he shook his head before pulling into the hotel.
"here, go get us a room while I change my shirt and get this blood off of me." He told her before handing her a wad of cash
She looked at him for a moment before taking it out of his hand and walking inside the hotel.
After checking in, Saige helped bring their bags up the room, and once they finally made it up Dre collapsed on the bed.
Saige sighed before scavenging around and she eventually found a first aid kit. Dre had already took his shirt off and he was examining the graze.
"don't touch it." I told him before grabbing his arm and pulling him into the bathroom
"Sit."
"Sit ?" He questioned
"Dre sit down." Saige sighed again and he gave her a look before sitting on the toilet.
she washed her hands before going over and examining the grace herself. she started cleaning the wound and he slightly flinched.
"Be still." Saige told him while focused on the wound
"Nigga i'm trying."
Dre watched Saige as she patted his arm dry from the blood and began wrapping his arm with a bandage. She noticed his eyes on her and she raised one eyebrows at him. He looked away and so did she as they say in silence.
