I spend the next couple of days staying at home to focus all my time on my foster animals since they need me and i need them and Katherine has also been keeping me busy because she can't stay in one place for long and it's driving me crazy not knowing if she's safe or not. I have loved being with my animals and Katherine without any drama interrupting us but today is a tough day for me because i have to go into town to get some groceries. I just know that i'm going to bump into someone that i really don't want to see and that's when the drama still start again which is something i definitely do not want to deal with, especially if the drama is to do with the Mikaelson family. Thankfully Katherine is coming with me to do some grocery shopping so i won't be alone and cornered by anyone because she knows if that happens hell will break loose and she will be the only one to stop me from ending someone's undead life.
"Come on little one we can't sit here in the parking lot all day, we have to go inside at somepoint" Katherine said softly
"What if their there" I said nervously
"Then you keep your head held high and show them your someone not to be messed with, show them you won't let them ruin your day" She said softly with a smirk
"Okay but if anything goes wrong and i lose my temper it's not my fault" I said opening the drivers side door
"It won't be your fault" She said rolling her eyes as we both climb out the car
"Something always is my fault when you get in a mood or haven't had any blood" I said smirking at her
"Hey! I'm not thay bad little one! Your always mardy when you don't have your blood bag and yoir even worse when you don't get your morning cuddles from your dogs and horses" She said looping her arm with mine then we walk into the store
"Cuddles are a must in the morning okay!" I said grabbing a cart only for Kat to take or off me
"It will be easier to get toiletries for myself first then we can get our food and other things" She said pushing the cart infront of her
"Remind me to get a new dog bed because Hunter decided to chew his last night" I said throwing my arm over Kats shoulder
"That Doberman puppy and his separate anxiety" She said between giggles
"He's cute okay and i will get him as many bed's as he wants aslong as he stays cute and loveable" I said placing a couple toiletries in the cart
"If you keep treating those dogs like you babies it's going to kill you when they get adopted" She said pushing the cart over to the dog aisle
"They will always be my babies even if they get adopted, now i can't just get Hunter something i need to get Cassie and Rolo something too" I said tapping my chin in thought
"You could always just get all three of them new beds" She said placing a pink bed in the cart
"Perfect ide-" I started to say but got cut off when a scent hits me full force and my inner vampire screams mate
"Baby what's wrong?" Katherine asked worriedly
"Mate, my mate is here and their scent is strong" I said then take a deep breath enjoying the scent
"Shit! Will you be okay meeting them? Do you think it will cause a flashback?" She asked worriedly
"I don't know mama we will just have to wait and see" I said nervously as i smell the scent getting closer
"I will be here every step of the way baby, just keep calm and take a few deep breaths" She said abandoning the cart to hold my face on her hands
"What if they don't want me when they find out about my past, worst of all what if they hurt me just like he did" I said starting to feel myself panic
"They won't hurt you because the mate bond won'tet them plus i won't let them hurt you because no-one hurts my daughter and gets away with it" She said caressing my cheek
"I can't let him win can i?" I said trying to push my panic aside
"No you can't because he's gone now and you need to be the strong badass girl your mum and me know you are" She said softly then kissed my forehead
"Time to be the badass Pierce-Mikaelson i am?" I asked wanting to hear her say it
"Yes baby, it's time to be the badass Pierce-Mikaelson that you know you are" She said knowing exactly what i need to hear right now
"Right then mama, time to finish our shopping and if my mate makes his appearance then i will handle it" I said shaking myself out my panic
"That's it little one, so what bed are you picking for Rolo and Hunter, i have already put Cassies in the cart so she has veen sorted" She said with pride in her eyes
"How about that black and blue striped one for Rolo and that black and red spotty one for Hunter" I said thoughtfully yet i'm wondering how i just change emotions so quickly
"They will love them" She said grabbing them and putting them in the cart
"Get them matching blankets too" She said smiling
"Who's treating them like babies now" I said rolling my eyes at her
"Their you baby's so that means their my granddoggies" She said pushing the cart to the food aisle
"Mama the scent the scent is stronger their just a few aisles away" I said as we start putting food in the cart
"Take a few deep breaths, everything will be okay baby" She said rubbing my back
"Hello Darling" A deep masculine voice said behind me and i see Katherine's face go emotionless
I slowly turn around and see the world's most sexiest man i have ever seen in my whole existence, he is literally everything i wished my mate would look like and more. He has a protective deadly gentleman vibe going and that alone is sexy as hell because no matter how tough someone is they love a man that will protect them at any cost. Something inside me is telling me i can trust him with my life and that he would never her me but yet again my traumatic past shows it's self and makes me anxious. I feel Katherine grab my hand and lace her fingers with mine while giving my hand a comforting squeeze and i squeeze her hand back as a silent thank you. He takes a step forward and i try to take a step back bit Katherine stops me by keeping me firmly where Ii'm stood.
"Hello Enzo what are you doing here and where is Damon since he's not normally to far away from you" Katherine said coldly
"I left him Katherine since all he wants is for me to protect his little toy which is Stefan's girl" He said keeping his eyes on me
"I could've told you that from the beginning" Katherine said rolling her eyes at him
"Hello Darling, my name is Enzo" He said smiling softly at me and i struggle say something back
"It's okay baby" Katherine said softly sensing my struggle
"H-Hello Enzo, my name is Eva and i'm your mate j-just like your my mate" I stutter out gripping Katherine's hand tightly
"I know darling, your scent smells of straw and apples" He said softly
"Your scent smells of caramel and gun powder" I stutter looking at him wide eyed because he used to smell of gun powder
"Enzo's not him Eva" Katherine said softly
"I don't know who he is but from what I can tell he left you with alot of trauma, i want you to know i will definitely not harm you in anyway Eva, i have been waiting for you since what feels like forever and i will not risk loosing you" He said softly as he kneels infront of me
"I-I, H-He was my s-stepfather" I blurt out while stuttering more and i cover my mouth with my hand
"Her step father abused her Enzo which has left her with some fears so you need to go at her pace" Katherine said cuddling me to her chest
"Of course i will go at her pace Katherine, i'm not going to rush her into anything especially when i feel that there is more to this then i'm being told" He said still kneeling on the floor
"She was abused!?" I hear Klaus say from the aisle next to us
"Can we go to my house because we have a eavesdropper" I said without stuttering
"Of cwe can darling but i don't have transport which makes this hard" Enzo said standing up
"You can catch a lift with m-me but mama sits in the front" I said looking at Katherine
"That's perfectly fine, i like sitting in the back seat anyway darling. I wouldn't want to separate you from your mama" He said with understanding in his eyes
"Thank you" I said politely
"We will need to pay for these first little one since we don't want your babies to miss out on their treat do we" Katherine said softly
"Okay, do you need anything else mama" I asked her
"No baby, i don't" She said then kissed my forehead
I loop my arm through Katherine's then we both walk towards the checkouts with Enzo following us at a comfortable distance but i could feel his eye on me. When we get to the checkout everything moved quickly which i was thankful for because i have no idea if Klaus has rang any of the others. Once everything is payed for Enzo took the bags then me and Katherine walked out the grocery store at a fast pace with Enzo following us looking confused. I saw Katherine give him a you will understand soon look and all he did was nod his head as we all climb in my truck without saying anything to each other.
"Fast or safe" I asked Katherine curiously
"Fast, we can't risk him following us especially after he heard what was said" She said firmly
"Buckle up then even though we don't need too" I said fastening my seat belt
"Go for it darling" Enzo said with a smile
"Hold on tightly" I warned
"Her inner street racer is showing it's ugly head" Katherine said amusingly
"Just because my trust looks slow doesn't mean it's slow, looks can be deceiving" I said smirking as i race out the parking lot making Katherine laugh in glee
"He's behind us little one, let him have it" Katherine said looking in the side mirror
"That stupid fucking hybrid" I spit out as i swing the truck round a few corners then drive down a dirt road that leads to my property
"You lost him darling" Enzo said smirking
"I knew she would, little Eva here knows all the little tricks in the book" Katherine said proudly
"I want to rip his fucking heart out because of everything he has done and now he thinks he can follow me! I'm so close to showing him not to push my limits" I said angrily
"You will get your chance baby but right now you need to focus on your mate" Katherine said softly
"I don't mind, i would love to see you fight darling" Enzo said still smirking
"Maybe another time Enzo because once you hear what my life has been like you might decide that you don't want me as your mate" I said as i drive up my driveway
"No matter what happened in your life i will always want you because you are made for me my darling" He said firmly
