Rosetta's POV:
"No James that picture goes over there! James!" Lily shouts again as I roll my eyes
"Lily shut up!" I'm surprised James lasted that long before yelling.
You see Lily moved back to our childhood home where we grew up as mum left the place to us both and Lily likes the idea of raising him in the place she grew up. But the decorating of the nursery is causing a lot of stress as Lily instructs James to move things, carry things and other stuff.
Bless him, James tries so hard to help and hold his tongue but when he snaps; he really does snap.
"SINCE IM CLEARLY NOT DOING IT RIGHT MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET UP AND DO IT YOURSELF!!" He screams as Lily stares at him looking a little scared, cowering back a bit as my husband stamps passed her.
"What was that?" She asks me bewildered
"Lily, James is trying to help you and your being bossy, rude and quite frankly ungrateful. He helped you move everything from your apartment back to here and is helping you sort all the rooms, a thank you would go a long way" I subtly nod to the door, Lily rolls her eyes but gets up and leaves the room as I sit on the rocking chair in the corner of Harry's future room.
Eventually the two come back again clearly calmer than before and all three of us get to work.
Timeskip
We head over to the door to see the room as a whole and it is a beautiful sight, and I can't wait to see Harry here in his room sat on his mums lap on that rocking chair. As I think ahead I hear sniffling which pulls me back to the now
"Lils?" Before I can process what's happening she has pulled me and James into a hug
"Thank you, both of you, it's amazing" she beams.
Timeskip - sorry again
6th May 10pm
A familiar patronus circles the room before stopping in front of me to give me a message. I gasp loudly and quickly run to the bottom of the stairs to call my husband
"James!" No answer, there's a surprise "James!" I try again to no avail "James!!" I shout louder
"What!" He shouts back
"We need to get to St Mungos!" I hear a quick shuffle of feet and I look up to see my husband sopping wet wearing a towel looking disheveled
"Why?! Why?! What's wrong?" He calls out desperately
"Oh for goodness sake go and get changed, Rosalie's gone into labour" he quickly runs to our room to get ready and I just sit for a long time waiting for him.
"She's gone into labour?"
"Yes! Now come on!" I grab his arm and waste no time in apparating us outside St Mungos. James barely has any time to take in his surroundings before I'm dragging him inside and to the front desk.
"Hi I'm Rosetta Potter, my brother and sister-in-law are having a baby" I quickly splutter out
"What is your brothers and Sister-in-laws names?" The receptionist, who looks very bored, clearly she doesn't like her job either, asks
"Rory and Rosalie Evans" I reply trying to stay calm as my husband rubs my shoulders comfortingly
"Rose?" I turn around to see my sister standing near the stairs "come on I'll take you to them" she beckons me and James to follow and we do so quickly leaving behind an unamused receptionist who is currently muttering about us wasting her time.
"How's Rosalie doing?" I ask Lils
"I'm not allowed in so neither will you but Rory keeps updating me; she started with contractions about twenty minutes ago, she speculates as she looks at a clock we pass.
10:45 it says.
"Rory sent for me at 10:05 how are you just getting here now?" She finally asks
"James was having a shower" I reply rolling my eyes
"How long does it take you to have a shower and get changed? I'm pregnant and I got here before you" she adds
"First impressions are everything Lils, I'm not gonna let my niece see me looking a mess" James smirks
"Your first impression to us was terrible" Lily comments as we come to a waiting room which is surrounded by people looking anxious and, of course, a lot of pregnant women.
"Excuse me, I made an impression didn't I?" James scoffs
"Not a good one dear" I pat his head mockingly as I sit next to my sister
"Whatever" he rolls his eyes
I look around seeing all the happy faces of women who are holding there stomachs chatting to there partners and family. I zone out to the point that I can't stop the conversation that James has, of course, brought up.
"I can't wait until I'm here waiting for my little one to be born" he nods over to me and I pretend not to listen as to not be brought into the conversation
"Good luck with that" Lily comments snorting lightly
"We will have kids" James adamantly responds
"Kids? Like plural?" Lils asks him as I take a drink of Lily's water
"Oh yeah, maybe like five or six" I choke on my water causing them both to turn there focus to me "you okay love?" He pats my back
"Five or six?"
"Well yeah, I was an only child and I was a bit lonely as a kid in a big house just with my parents I would have loved siblings" I can almost feel how pale I must look at this new information. I knew he wanted kids obviously but I thought like maybe two or three at the most not six!
"You realise that that's not going to happen right?!" I exclaim trying to stay quiet as to not disturb everyone else in the waiting room
"What?" James turns to me confused
"Look I love you but there is no way on earth that I am pushing out anymore than 2 kids" I announce sternly
"I've said many time that I want kids how is this a shock to you?"
"Because I wasn't aware kids meant five or six! I've never wanted kids, I've never been obsessed with the idea but I love you so I'm willing to have a couple but not five! I do not want to get to my thirties and have five kids and no job, no dreams, no time for myself that's not me. And if you want that many then you shouldn't be an auror as I'm not giving up everything to be an at home mum so that'll be you!"
"Seriously! You've known for years that I wanted kids and now it's a problem after we're married, if this was such a big deal to you perhaps you should have brought it up before we tied the knot" he gets up angrily and heads towards the stairs, everyone in the waiting room watches as he does so.
"That was intense" Lily breaks the awkward silence
"Had to be said" I reply shrugging
"Maybe you'd like a big family"
"Stay out of it Lily!" I hiss
Sorry it took so long again everyone, Christmas time is a very busy time for me and I've had no time to write until now
I hope you enjoy this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it
