The doctors and the nurses came immediately. Tsinek ng mga ito ang vital signs ni Sam. They put a flashlight in Sam's eyes and instructed the younger del Rio to follow the light, which Sam did.
Amelia bit her lip hard para pigilan ang sariling mag saya dahil hindi pa nila sigurado ang lahat. Tinitigan niya si Bridgette. Bridge smiled and nodded at her.
Pinagsalikop niya ang kamay niya at pinakinggan lang ang pag lakas ng tibok ng puso niya. Sam is awake! Hindi ito ma-c-coma. Pero sana ay maalala pa siya nito, that's the worry she had all through out habang inaasikaso ito ng mga doktor.
One of the Doctors turned to them. "Ms. Del Rio is responsive. Kaya siguro hindi pa siya ganun ka responsive ay dahil sa gamot na itinurok sa kanya. But rest assured that she would wake up. Let's just hope na hindi siya magkaroon ng amnesia."
Shit. She forgot about that part. But she's still thankful that Sam is awake. Maybe this time she also has to rest too for the baby. At least she didn't have to worry about Sam not waking up.
She caressed her stomach and smiled. 'Baby. Your other Mommy is awake. Tulog na muna tayo para maganda tayo pag gumising si Mommy Sam."
Tumango siya kay Bridgette. "I'll take it from here. Sasabihin ko kung gising na si Sam. Matulog ka muna, Boss."
"Thank you, Bridge." Amelia smiled at Bridgette and she proceeded to lie on the other bed they installed inside Sam's room.
She closed her eyes smiling. It's another worry that she was able to take off her shoulders. Sam is awake and it's all that matters to her right now.

"D-Don't touch me." Sam looked at her with a hurt expression. Agad itong yumuko.
Amelia opened her mouth. Kumabog ang dibdib niya sa kaba dahil sa inaakto nito. Maging si Bridgette na nag bigay dito ng tubig ay napakunot ang noo na tinitigan ang girlfriend niya.
"S-Samantha is in the room next to yours. She suffered a blow to her head. According to the other passengers she was halfway to removing her seatbelt nang biglang nag malfunction ang aircraft. Mabuti na lang at hindi pa ganun kataas ang nililipad ng eroplano nang mangyari iyon. Sam was saved by the seatbelt attached to her pero tinamaan siya ng maleta sa ulo. She's still not awake...."
"S-Sam...." Amelia's voice cracked.
Hindi ba siya nito naalala? Nangyari na ba ang kinatatakutan niya?
"A-Ako 'to si Amelia."
Sam didn't say anything for a while. Muli itong nag angat ng tingin at hindi niya malaman kung anong gagawin nang biglang may tumulong luha sa mga mata nito. Sam's eyes showed so much pain that Amelia couldn't look at her eyes directly.
"I-I know...."
"Then why?" Frustrated na binasa niya ang labi niya. "I've waited for you to wake up, Sam..."
Hindi niya pa nga nasasabi dito na muntik nang mawala ang baby. Kinagat niya ng mariin ang labi niya para pigilan ang luhang lalabas sana sa bibig niya. Para bang biglang nawalan ng lakas ang mga kamay niya at kusa itong bumagsak sa tagiliran niya.
"Did you do it?" Sam looked away after saying that.
S-Sam knows......She knows......Oh my God.... Tila lumaki ang ulo niya sa sinabi nito. Hindi niya alam kung anong sasabihin niya.
"Boss...I've gotta go. Nag-aantay sakin si Mich. I'll leave you two alone to talk."
Bridgette tapped her shoulders. Mukhang narandaman nito ang tensiyon sa pagitan nila ni Sam.
Tumango na lang siya kay Bridgette at iniyuko ang ulo niya nang makalabas ito sa pinto. She couldn't bring herself to look at Sam.
Hindi niya alam kung paano siya mag sisimula sa pag papaliwanag dito. Maybe Sam didn't saw the whole thing.
"Samantha. S-Sorry but I---"
"Puro sorry na lang ba, Amelia?" Sam's voice is calm yet Amelia felt the coldness from her voice. "I accepted everything. I swallowed everything for you. Kaya ba ganun lang kadali para sayo na i-take for granted ako?"
Sa sinabi nito ay kumirot ang dibdib niya. Ganun ba kababa ang tingin nito sa pag mamahal na meron siya para dito? She wanted comfort from Sam pero paano nito iyon maibibigay sa kanya? Nasasaktan ito ngayon. She can understand that.
Her hands started shaking and her eyes became blurry. Tumulo ang luha sa mga mata niya. Biglang bumalik sa alaala niya ang nangyari 1 week ago.
"You will give me that?"
"Yes. I will keep my word."
Amelia swallowed the lump in her throat. Pumikit siya ng mariin. Iisipin na lang ba niyang si Sam ito. But it would it hurt Samantha. She just need to do this para mas mabilis ang pakikipag hiwalay niya dito. It wasn't love or anything.
But what about Sam? Sigurado siyang magagalit ito sa kanya kapag nalaman nito ang ginawa niya. Hindi lang siguro ito magagalit. Sam would have nothing to do with her dahil sa sakit na idudulot niya dito.
She would rather die than let Christian touch her or kiss her again. Kaya huminto siya at mabilis itong tinulak palayo sa kanya nang mahawakan nito ang bewang niya.
She maneuvered out of his way. Habol niya ang pag hinga nang titigan ito ng masama. He was planning something and she knew it. Kung magpapabihag siya sa bitag nito ay siguradong talo siya.
She looked around to see where the camera is but she couldn't see anything. Inaabangan niya din ang gagawin ng lalake sa harap niya.
Nanlaki ang mga mata nito nang titigan siya. He breathed heavily through his nostrils.
"W-What do you think you are doing?"
Dumaan ang awa sa dibdib niya para dito. He looked so confused and so lost. Para itong ibang tao. He wasn't shaved and his hair is a mess. She did love him before, pero hindi niya na ito mahal ngayon. She loved him as her bestfriend. Hindi naman iyon nawala. But he wasn't what he was before. Naging ibang tao na ito. He maybe tricking her, right now. And she couldn't help but be sad for the person he had become.
"I love you, Christian but as my friend. A very long time friend. Ilang beses ko ba dapat sabihin sayo para maintindihan mo?"
His shoulder fell. Hindi ito kumibo ng ilang minuto. And when he lifted his face. He showed her a defeated smile. "I love you too, Amelia and sorry for causing you so much trouble."
He looked to his right and shook his head. A man stepped out of a bush and let the camera dangle to his body.
Christian flipped his hands away and the man walked out on them.
Amelia opened her mouth. So he was really planning on tricking her?! Bumangon ang galit sa dibdib niya. It was forming like a storm in her eyes. Tinitigan niya ito ng masama. How could he be so cruel? Hanggang sa huli ba ay ayaw nitong maging masaya siya? Hindi na ba nito inisip man lang na naging magkaibigan sila? Itinapon na lang ba nito ang lahat?
"H-How could you---"Her voice was laced with anger and hurt.
Hindi niya akalain na ganito na ito ka-desperado, that he was willing to film them together. He would go this far because of his jealousy and his anger!
"I'm sorry, Amelia. I was just jealous and I was so angry."
She scoffed. Aatras sana ulit siya palayo dito when he held her hands and gave her the divorce paper.
Nakangangang tinitigan niya ito. Is he really atoning for his sins? Kahit ibigay nito sa kanya ang isang bagay na pinaka inaasam niya ay hindi niya alam kung mapapatawad niya ito, kung nakita ni Sam ang nangyari.
"I'm giving this to you as an apology. Maybe by now ay nakarating na kay Sam ang ibang parte ng video so I'm sorry but when you pushed me away. I know that its over. You loved her so much. So, please. Just let me be part of my child's life. I'm setting you free. So please let me have that with my child. Promise I won't meddle anymore."
"Paano ko gagawin yun Christian kung ganito ang ginawa mo?" Her voice is laced with frustrations.
Mas maigi na talagang nag hiwalay na sila. If she had known that he would turn into this kind of person. Pero hindi niya ito masisi. Love made them desperate. She did the same and she can understand him at the least.
"I-I'm so sorry Amelia." His eyes watered with tears. Kita niya din ang sakit sa mga mata nito.
She wasn't that cruel. Hindi naman niya ipagkakait ang parte nito sa buhay ng anak nila. But that was it. Hanggang doon na lang.
Umiling siya dito nang makita niyang lumuhod ito. She pulled him to make him stand up.
"I-It's alright Christian. I will told Sam. Sigurado akong maiintindihan niya ako." She hoped so.
"I-I'm really sorry, Amelia. Kung hindi siya maniwala sayo. I am willing to tell her in person. So I gave you the divorce paper."
Sam will know that she didn't do it. Amelia would never do it for Sam's sake. Ayaw niya itong masaktan dahil mahal na mahal niya ito.
Pero hindi niya din maiwasan na masaktan para kay Christian. He was a good man before everything fell apart. Maybe they both messed up their relationship. Parehas silang may kasalanan kung bakit nagkaganito ang kinahantungan. But it was too late now. They both became a different person.
Inangat niya ang tingin dito. Her heart squeezed. He wold forever be a part of her because of their child pero hindi na ito ang lalakeng mahal niya. But she was still thankful that he was able to turn back around. Kahit sa huling sandali. He was able to go back to his past self.
"Thank you, Christian. Goodbye."
He nodded one last time and turned his back.
Naramdaman niya ang pag iinit ng sulok ng mga mata niya. She was now cutting him out of her life but not in their child's life dahil karapatan nito iyon. Para siyang napilayan dahil kahit ganito ang nangyari sa kanila. Hindi niya maitatanggi na naging mabuting kaibigan at asawa ito noon.
They just changed with time and the choices they had to make.
Paalam Christian. Humikbi siya habang tinititigan ang likod nito. He would be forever her first love.
"What's your defense this time, Amelia?"
Amelia's breath hitched.
"I-I'm sorry, Sam." Huminga siya ng malalim para makasagap ng hangin ang baga niyang naninikip. Nag init ang sulok ng mga mata niya. Hindi niya alam kung paano siya mag sisimula sa mga sasabihin niya dito. But she feels sorry dahil nasaktan ito sa nakita nito but she didn't do it.
She opened her mouth to speak pero naunahan na siya nito.
"You know; I was determined to go back kahit mid-flight na ang eroplano. Aawayin ko na sana ang piloto para itigil ang eroplano. Iniisip ko na kung makikita mo siguro ako sa hallway ng airport. You will not do it. But I was too late, aren't I? I was stunned nang makita ko sa video that you are about to kiss him. I was hurt and confused and angry, Amelia."
Pinaglaruan nito ang mga kamay nitong magkasalikop.
"But then the crash happened and here I am in the hospital. Still trying to figure out if you did it."
Ilang segundo siyang hindi nakakibo sa sinabi nito. But when she opened her mouth next ay tumaas ang tono ng boses niya.
"Ganun lang ba kababa ang tingin mo sa pag ibig ko sayo?
Nanlaki ang mga mata na tumititig ito sa kanya.
