The sweater you gave me feels so soft,
Like the feeling you give me deep inside my heart.
Despite how cold everyday to me seems,
I still feel warm with you here beside me.
The way you smile makes me warm and at peace,
And the way you hug me with a gentle squeeze,
I could never let your warm soul leave me,
For you're the only thing keeping me safe in the coldest of weeks.
I sniffle as the tears are wiped away,
And can only giggle as you hold my face.
Your sunlight comes back to lighten up my day,
Again preventing me from going astray.
The gentle peck you leave on my cheek,
As I play with your hair, forever looking so unique,
You never let me go even if I felt weak,
You never left me in the worst of my weeks.
The sweater you gave me feels more like home,
As you turn my world to color from monochrome.
