You stood menacingly in front of a door wearing your mask. You then kick the door open to see a man holding an angry little girl by the arm. (No not Rebecca)
Y/N: Let her go... Or die.
You point your Shotguns at the man who stares at you with fear. He pushes the girl towards you and backs away while raising his hands.
Man: You can have her... Just don't shoot man!
You look down at the girl staring at you.
Girl: Oh my god... You're the Reaper. That's so cool!
The girl looks up at you in awe.
Y/N Mind: They weren't kidding about me having fans but... Even a little girl? Should I be worried that little girls see me as a role model?
You crouch to the girl's level taking off your mask. You smile.
Y/N: You okay?
Girl: Yeah... Did my mommy send you?
Y/N: She did... I need you to do something for me. You think you can do that?
The girl nods with a smile. You give the girl your mask.
Y/N: I need you to hold this and take it to the big robot at the bottom of the stairs. He may look scary but I promise you he's a big softy and a friend... His name is Bob.
Girl: Okay... You can count on me Mr Reaper.
The girl runs off happily with your mask. You stand up turning to the guy. You once again aim your guns at him.
Y/N: Tell me something... What did you want with her?
Man: We were going to...
Y/N: No I don't want to hear that same lie... I don't believe for a second you kidnapped one little girl just to ransom her off. You know how I know this?
The man gulps and shakes his head.
Y/N: Even amateurs don't kidnap the daughter of the leader of a Nomad group. You were clearly hired to piss off the Nomad group.
Man: Nomad group? I don't know what you mean?
Y/N: Bullshit... You know damn well I'm talking about the Luna Roses. Who hired you?
Man: No one hired...
You shoot the man in the leg. He falls to the ground screaming in pain. You crouch over the injured man aiming your gun at his head.
Y/N: I'll only ask once more... Who hired you?
Man: H-Hercules.
Y/N: Who?
Man: People say he's the new Adam Smasher. He's mostly known for being U/N L/N's right hand man.
Y/N Mind: So my uncle is behind this? Hercules may be able to help me find my uncle.
Y/N: Where can I find this... Hercules?
Man: I don't know... B-But... His assistant Ed can be found at the Afterlife every Wednesday.
Y/N: Ed? You got a picture?
Man: No but you can't miss him... He wears a top hat and has cat looking eyes.
Y/N: One more question...
Man: Y-Yeah?
Y/N: Any last words?
The man stares at you with pure fear.
Man: Wait!
You blast his face splattering blood all over you. You wipe your face then walk out the room.
Y/N: 'Wait' is a strange last word. I would have said 'Curses!' like that skeleton guy from that show Sally watches.
You walk down the stairs to see Bob carrying the girl with your mask on his shoulder.
Girl: You're back!
Y/N: Yep.
The girl extends her hand. You take your mask back.
Y/N: Thanks.
You put it back on and head to the exit with Bob following close behind. You receive a call from Ashe.
Y/N (Call): Yeah?
Ashe (Call): You done with your building?
Y/N (Call): Yeah... I'll meet you at the car.
Ashe (Call): Understood.
You end the call and head outside.
(Timeskip - Five minutes later)
You meet Rebecca, Sally, Ashe, David and Lucy at Falco's car. Falco peaks his head out the side window.
Y/N: We got the girl.
Ashe: What do you mean you got the girl?
Y/N: I mean I retrieved Lily.
Girl: My name isn't Lily.
You turn to the girl confused.
Y/N: It's not?
Girl: Nope... I'm Peach.
Y/N: Peach?
Rebecca: Me and Ashe found Lily.
You look to see Rebecca pointing at the girl hiding behind Ashe.
Y/N: Then...
You turn back to the girl.
Y/N: Who is your mother?
Woman: That would be me.
You all turn to see a face you didn't think you'd ever see again. You, Rebecca, David, Lucy and even Falco look in surprise.
Peach: Mommy!
Bob lets the girl down and she rushes to the woman.
Rebecca: The hell?
David: Is this real?
Lucy: I thought you were... Dead?
Y/N: Kiwi?
Kiwi: Yeah. It's been a while.
Ashe: You know her?
Y/N: Yeah. She's an old friend.
Kiwi: Thanks for rescuing my daughter.
Y/N: You have a daughter?
Kiwi: I adopted her.
Rebecca: You banged someone?!
Kiwi: She's adopted.
Rebecca: You kidnapped a child?!
Kiwi: She's adopted.
Lucy: How are you alive?
Kiwi: I'm sorry I betrayed you Lucy.
Lucy: Forget about it... Faraday's men. Y/N told me they injured you.
Kiwi: They shot me but I managed to deal with them. I thought I was going to die but I was nursed back to help... By Peach's mom and once she passed I took Peach under my wing.
Rebecca: So you stole her from her own mother?
Kiwi: It's good to see you are as annoying as ever.
Sally laughs as Rebecca scowls at Kiwi.
Y/N: Why did my uncle have your daughter kidnapped?
Rebecca: Your uncle?
Y/N: I learned that some guy named Hercules hired those goons.
Lucy: Hercules?
Kiwi: U/N's right hand. A ruthless man who never stays in one place long. He keeps to the shadows but not because he's afraid... He does it because he wants people to underestimate him. It gives him some sick pleasure to watch them beg for their lives after underestimating him.
David: So a scary guy? Sounds like he and Y/N could get along.
You turn to David with an annoyed look.
Y/N: I am not a scary guy... I'm a spooky guy.
David: What's the difference?
Y/N: I will shoot you.
David sweatdrops.
David: That isn't really an answer.
Lucy: I suggest you just leave it. I don't want to marry a corpse.
David: Shouldn't you be persuading him not to shoot me?
Lucy: I could... But Y/N doesn't really listen to reason... Well mostly he doesn't.
You cross your arms.
Y/N: At least mock me quietly. I can hear every word Lucy.
Lucy: Sorry.
Lily and Peach laugh.
Y/N: We should catch up.
Kiwi: Sure.
Ashe: Me, Bob, Sally and Falco will deliver Lily to the Luna Roses.
Y/N: Thanks.
Falco: I'll drop you all off at the Afterlife.
(Timeskip - Half an hour later)
You sit with Rebecca, David, Lucy, Kiwi, Peach and Rogue.
Rogue: Still kicking are you?
Kiwi: Yeah.
Y/N: Hey Rogue do you know an Ed?
Rogue: You mean top hat with cat eyes?
Y/N: Yeah?
Rebecca: Who the fuck is Ed?
Peach: Language.
Rebecca stares at Peach then to Kiwi unamused.
Rebecca: Really?
Kiwi just ignores Rebecca.
Rogue: What about Ed?
Y/N: What do you know about him?
Rogue: Massive flirt who comes here every Wednesday night... Works for some guy named Hercules. All I know. Want me to dig up more?
Kiwi: No need... Ed delivers all messages from Hercules. He's not just a messenger but the only man who knows where Hercules is at all times. He may not look tough but he's no pushover.
Y/N: My uncle... What does he want with you?
Kiwi: Those assassins... I refused to be one of them and now he wants me dead so that I don't help you.
Y/N: The Mastermind is worried you'll help me?
Kiwi: Yeah. I have the passcode to his servers.
Y/N: You know where he is?
Kiwi: No... He teleported me to his secret base. I just happened to grab the passcode into the servers before he met with me.
Peach: Isn't mommy so cool?
Kiwi smiles at her daughter and rubs her head.
Y/N: Yeah. Can I have this passcode?
Kiwi: Sorry but no. Your uncle doesn't want you dead yet but if I give you the passcode he'll come after your crew at full force. I won't betray you guys again.
Lucy: Kiwi.
David: Then help us. We'll take him down together.
Kiwi: I can't... I have a daughter to take care of. I'll be leaving Night city tomorrow night.
Rebecca: What?!... Why?!
Kiwi: Too dangerous here... I will give you one more bit of information before I leave. Your uncle... He's almost finished recreating what you gave him.
Y/N: He's making more Nanobots?
Kiwi: New and improved Nanobots.
Rebecca: Improved how?
Kiwi: Don't know... He's only leaving you alone because he's busy working on the Nanobots... When he's done he'll be sending people after you.
Y/N: I've dealt with assassins before.
Kiwi: Your wanted by the police and MaxTac. He'll force you into a corner and you'll either be dead or in a cell for life. You may be strong but don't get cocky. You need to be careful. My advice... Leave Night city while you can.
Kiwi gets up and picks up Peach before leaving.
Rebecca: Leave? Why would we leave?
David: Maybe she's right? I don't want to lose Lucy and I already almost died. He runs Arasaka now.
Lucy: David.
Y/N: I'm not leaving. My Grandpa raised me so I could live here and survive. I'm not about to leave because of some powerful jerk.
Rebecca: Me either.
Y/N: David... Lucy. I love you guys. Mostly Lucy...
David: Hey!
Y/N: If you want to leave then I won't stop you. Honestly I would prefer to fight alone as that would mean I am less likely to lose anyone... But then I would lose myself. I need a team if I hope to win.
Lucy grabs David's hand.
Lucy: We'll stay.
David: Yeah... We'll stay.
You smile at them. They smile back.
Rogue: So what's your plan?
Y/N: Ed.
David: That's not a plan.
Y/N: I will blow your brains out.
(Timeskip - A day later)
You and your crew are in the Afterlife sitting separately. Ashe and Bob sit at the bar talking to Claire. You and Rebecca sit in a booth with Rogue. David and Lucy dance together on the dance floor. Sally sits at a table having a drinking competition with some random woman.
Y/N: What is Sally doing?
Rebecca: We should order drinks too.
Y/N: No we need to be sober.
Rebecca: Just one drink won't hurt.
Y/N: You've already had a drink.
Rebecca pouts.
Rebecca: One isn't enough.
You sigh when the one known as Ed walks in.
Rogue: Looks like he's arrived.
Y/N (Call): Ashe... You're up.
Ashe (Call): Roger that.
Ed takes a seat noticing Ashe. He looks her up and down with a grin.
Ed: Well hello there pretty lady... How would you like... Oh dear.
Ashe points her rifle at Ed's face.
Ashe: Thanks for the compliment but you can shove it up your ass.
Ed continues to grin.
Ed: So you're into anal?... Nice.
Ashe: Shut your mouth before I put a hole in you.
Ed: My dear... Women shouldn't defy a man like myself.
Rogue (Call): Did I forget to mention he is a sexist asshole?
Ashe: Bob.
Bob stands over Ed with a not so friendly look.
Ashe: Tell me where your boss is and Bob will only break a few bones.
Ed laughs.
Ed: It seems you need a lesson. Don't worry I'm sure you and my dick will get along nicely.
Bob throws a punch but Ed grabs it and swings him into the ceiling before backhanding him into a drunk Sally. Sally struggles beneath Bob.
Sally: Help... Bob is trying to steal my soul.
Sally starts giggling like a lunatic. You sigh before charging towards Ed as Ashe fires. Ed dodges and grabs Ashe by her neck.
Ed: I hope you like it rough.
You slam into Ed forcing him to drop Ashe. He flies towards the dance floor where David points a gun at him. Ed stands up ignoring David and Lucy. He wipes at his suit.
Ed: Are you trying to get my suit dirty?
You aim your shotguns as you slowly walk towards him.
Y/N: Tell me where Hercules is.
Ed: Right now I believe he is having a shower at his private suite.
Y/N: Where is this suite?
Ed: That... I'm afraid is classified.
Y/N: Tell me or die.
Ed: You really do have an obsession with death don't you?
You shoot at Ed's leg causing him to drop to one knee.
Ed: Man that sure does pack a punch.
Ed stands up and you watch his leg slowly heal causing you all to stare in shock.
Ed: Like it? It's Self-Regenerative Nanobots.
Y/N: My uncle's finished already?
Ed: Oh no... These Nanobots are not his creation.
Y/N: What?
Ed: Step aside clown... I have a woman who needs my meat.
Rebecca: Don't call my bitch a clown!
Rebecca aims her guns at Ed with an angry look.
Ed: Your... Bitch? Does this whore own you?
You glare through your mask as Nanobots flow around your shotguns increasing their size.
Y/N: She's not a whore you fucking waste of oxygen!
You stare blasting Ed repeatedly causing his body to tear into pieces. His body continuously heals all damage done to his body. Ed stares down at his mostly naked and blood covered body.
Ed: I liked that suit.
Rebecca: Die you fuck!
Rebecca, you, Ashe and David start firing at Ed while Lucy swings her Monowires. Ed remains unkilled.
Ed: I can see you have a lot of lovely women in need of a real man.
Y/N Mind: He just won't die. It's like the Juggernaut chip all over again... What do I do?
Ed stretches before leaping at you. He grabs you by your masked face and slams you down into the ground. Your Nanobots rush towards him but stop.
Ed: It's about time.
Ed releases you as your Nanobots swarm around you preventing you from moving.
Y/N: What did you do?
Ed: I overrided your Nanobots.
Y/N: How?
Ed: Superior tech... It did take longer than expected so don't feel to bad.
Bob rushes into Ed slamming him into a wall. Ed laughs as Bob tries to crush him against the wall.
Ed: Stupid robot... You are no match for a warrior of the Mastermind.
Ed kicks Bob sending him crashing into David and Lucy. Ashe throws a dynamite but Ed throws it back forcing Ashe to jump behind the bar where Claire is.You
Ashe: Hey.
Claire: Can you guys please stop fighting assholes in this place?
Ashe: Nope.
Ed: Is this really the famous crew who killed Adam Smasher and defeated assassins? I am quite disappointed.
You struggle against your own Nanobots.
Ed: If you can't even beat me... What hope do you have against Hercules let alone the Mastermind.
Y/N Mind: I don't know if it is a good or bad thing I let Falco take a day off.
Ed walks over to you and stands over you bloody and nude.
Ed: See this... This is a real man's...
Rebecca rushes at Ed but her grabs her by the throat.
Y/N: Rebecca!
Ed: What would be worse? Killing her in front of you... Or making her my bitch and let you see how a real man fucks a woman?
Your blood boils with rage and suddenly your Nanobots glow red with energy. Ed looks in surprise.
Ed: What's this?
Your Nanobots once again obey you as you slam into Ed forcing him to drop Rebecca. You shoot through the roof with Ed still in your hands. You shoot higher and higher into the sky.
Ed: What is your brilliant plan?! You can't kill me! What hope do you have?!
Y/N: No one touches my Rebecca!
You shoot into space causing Ed to look around in worry. He struggles to breath.
Ed Mind: Is he insane? He'll kill us both!
You shoot closer and closer to the sun as your Nanobots swirl violently. You then throw Ed towards the sun. He tries to scream but no one can hear you scream in space. He instantly vanishes in a blaze.
Y/N Mind: I did it.
You slowly lose consciousness as your body freezes. You fall and shoot down towards Earth. The ice immediately melts as your body slowly burns. Your Nanobots are the only reason you aren't burnt to a crisp.
Your friends except for drunk Sally look up with worry as they watch you falling at dangerous speeds. Tears form in Rebecca's eyes.
Rebecca: Y/N!
Before you can hit the ground a light shines blinding your crew and all the people looking at the sky. The light slowly fades and your crew spot an angel carrying you. She descends landing before your crew. She places your body down and casts a light over you healing your wounds.
David: She's real.
Sally: Hey who turned on the lights?
The angel glances at the drunk Sally being carried by Bob with a smile. She turns her back to your whole crew before she flies away.
David: Hey wait!... She just left?
Rebecca holds you in her arms crying over your unconscious body. Lucy rubs her back for comfort.
Rebecca: Idiot.
(Timeskip - A few hours later)
You wake up without your mask and turn to see a naked Rebecca clinging to you.
Y/N: Rebecca?
She wakes up and immediately tackles you off the bed.
Rebecca: I was so worried you bitch.
You hold her in your arms.
Y/N: Sorry. I guess I let my rage get the best of me at least Ed is dead.
Rebecca: But now we got no leads on Hercules.
Y/N: Shit.
Rebecca: Please... Promise me you won't be stupid like that again?
Y/N:... I...
Rebecca: Please.
You stare into Rebecca's sad eyes.
Y/N: I promise.
Rebecca smiles pushing her head into your chest.
Rebecca: By the way... Lucy wanted to talk with you when you woke up.
Y/N: What about?
Rebecca shrugs.
Rebecca: She's on the couch... I'm going back to sleep. Don't be long okay?
Y/N: I won't.
Rebecca climbs back into bed as you exit the room. Lucy spots you. She stands up and walks over to you.
Lucy: Are you okay?
Y/N: Yeah... I'm fine.
Lucy leads you to the couch. You both sit down.
Y/N: The rest asleep?
Lucy: Yeah... We need to do something about the others.
Y/N: What do you mean?
Lucy: We all were humiliated by one guy. One guy who doesn't even have Nanobots from your uncle.
Y/N: But who made them?
Lucy: I'm not sure... But the others need a morale boost.
Y/N: Want me to make another speech?

Y/N: We may be outnumbered... But we're Edgerunners and we won't let the enemy get the best of us... So let's kill them all!

Your whole crew sighs.
Rebecca: It's just one stupid football match.

Lucy: I think you mean she's your butter to your bread.
Y/N: What? Butter and one slice of bread is not a sandwich.
Lucy: I know but... You know what? It doesn't matter. The point is... Just spend time with the guys.
Y/N: Can't I lead the girls day out and you the guy's? I'm willing to wear a wig.
Lucy: As much as that would be amusing. No.
You cross your arms.
Y/N: You know I'm the leader right?
Lucy: You're still not a girl.
