Now standing in a hotel room in New York. Max had been invited with Lewis to attend a charity hall and he had asked me to be his plus one.
"Cia! Your hair and makeup people are here!" Max yelled after he opened the door "Hey Jessie, Mark" I hugged the pair who I had become close with "Hey beautiful. Excited for today?" Jessie asked as she sat me down in front of the window and started on my makeup whilst Mark started on my hair "I am, only the part where I get to spend my night with Max. I want to skip the whole red carpet part" I replied, fiddling with my hands "Well this is what comes with dating an F1 driver sweetheart" Mark said "Yeah I know" I smiled weakly, unsure if my medication will be enough to keep me calm.

"Right Lucia, you are done! Now all we need to do is get you into that dress of yours" Jessie placed the lip stick down and then grabbed my hands and Mark grabbed the dress that was in its protective bag.
Delicately slipping into the yellow fabric that draped over my body, Jessie started to do up the back as Mark held up my hair.
"Don't you look perfect" Jessie squealed as Mark let down my hair "Like Belle from Beauty and the Beast" He placed his hand over his heart "Thank you guys! You did amazing like always" I pulled them both in for a hug, however eager to get away so I could show Max.
"Maxy!" I yelled as I walked out the spare bedroom I had been getting ready in for the past 3 hours "In our room sweetheart" Max replied, and as I walked through the door he was tightening his tie "My, my Lucia. You look incredible!" Max's eyes lit up and instantly gravitated towards me as he snaked his arm round my waist. "I could say the same for you handsome" I wrapped my arms round his neck and kissed my boyfriend before we were quickly interrupted as we had to leave for the Charity Ball.

Standing in the lobby of the hotel, the glass panels that would usually allow you to see across the streets now offered the view of hundreds of photographers lining up and down wanting to get just one photo of the celebrities in their evening attire.
Grasping Max's arm and my other hand holding his, I near enough hid behind his shoulder as we walked from the entrance doors to the blacked out SUV parked up outside.
"You're ok Lucia, calm down" Max wrapped his hand round my thigh as the door shut. Quickly releasing his hand from my grip, I had realised I'd been holding it like someone was going to take me away from him. "I'm ok" I tightly smiled "Don't worry" I kissed his cheek.
After standing on the horrendously long red carpet, I was thankful we'd finally gotten to the entrance of the charity ball where no one was trying to get a picture of you or yelling at you.
Following Max around like a lost puppy, he made his rounds as he said hello to everyone he knew. "Max, mind introducing me to this beautiful lady you have with you" Elliot Madden, one of New York's biggest business me "Ah Elliot, nice to see you" Max tightly smiled and offered his hand for him to shake "This is my girlfriend, Lucia" Max wrapped a protective arm round me "Very nice to meet you Lucia" Elliot lent over and gave me a hug "You too" I smiled back and before Elliot got another word out Max offered that the two of them went to the bar. "I'll see you in a little bit sweetheart" Max kissed my temple "Eh yeah ok" I nodded and then looked round the room to find a door that lead out onto a balcony and I made a b-line there.
Standing out as I looked over the edge of the balcony, the New York skyline lit up my eyes. "You remind me of Belle in that dress! It's beautiful" A lady broke me out my gaze and I then looked to my left "Thank you!" I smiled and looked at the lady opposite me who was sporting a short dress that hugged her body perfectly, and her brunette hair that had some curls laced into it. "Myra Madden" She smiled and held out her hand for me to shake "Lucia" I replied, taking her hand "I'm pretty sure I just met your brother in there" I laughed as the pair looked nothing a like "I am so sorry about that" She giggled back.

"So, what do you do?" Myra asked, both of us now sat on the outside sofa chatting away "I am a Racing Engineer in Formula One" I replied, with a big grin "What about you?" I asked "I'm a fashion designer, I own Madden Clothing" She replied "No way! I love your clothes, the pyjamas are to die for" I gasped "Thank you, give me your Instagram and I'll send you some of my favourites from the new line that's dropping soon" Myra smiled and I then passed her my phone.
"So you're dating Max" Myra asked for the now second time "Yes" I chuckled as I had just explained to her my job and how I had met Max "You're his racing engineer?" She continued "Yes babe" I nodded "Wow, you've got the looks, the brains and the boyfriend. Girl you have won at life" She beamed "Thank you" I smiled "You know, I think we'll be amazing friends Lucia" Myra grabbed my hand "I think we will" I replied, grateful for the new person who's entered my life.

"There you are, I've been looking for you" Max helped me off the sofa "Max this is Myra. Myra this is Max" I introduced the pair and they both said hello "Myra, it was lovely to meet you! I'll text you soon" I gave my friend one last hug before Max carted me off back into the ball room so we could mingle with more of his friends for the rest of the night.
