(Y/N) and Robin had been walking for quite a while now.
(Y/N): You know, I hardly really know anything about you, Robin. I mean, I've heard about the Devil Child of Ohara, but you don't seem like a devil to me.
Robin: <giggling> Why, thank you. <sighs> I'm sorry, but I just don't like talking about my past.
(Y/N) nodded his head in understanding.
(Y/N): I respect that. There's tons of things about my past I wish I could forget, but... it's just stuck in my mind. And I hate it.
Robin: I've always heard rumors about people who have a sealed devil within them. A lot of people don't believe it, but I was always fascinated by it as a child.
(Y/N): Trust me, it's not fun actually having that devil sealed in you.
Robin: I believe it. There are tons of things in this world that fascinate me. Some things that seem way too fantastical to exist and yet they do.
(Y/N): <smirking> Hm. We're on an island that's pretty much floating in the sky as we speak.
Robin: <giggling> Right.
(Y/N): I've been wondering, what is this "true history" you're looking for? On the Poneglyph things.
Robin didn't say anything. She looked down.
Devil: The Void Century, eh?
(Y/N) froze on the spot. Robin looked back at him, confused.
Robin: Is something wrong?
(Y/N): The devil... just spoke to me.
Robin: <walking over to him> What did it say?
(Y/N): "The Void Century" or something like that.
Robin's eyes widened.
Robin: <thinking> Of course. Devils would know things about that. They are immortal. <out loud> What about the Void Century?
(Y/N): W-What? I don't know. That's all it said.
Devil: Tell that bitch I'm not telling her anything about it.
(Y/N): <angry> Why, you...
Robin: What?
(Y/N): It said he's not going to tell you anything about it.
Robin: I should have expected as much. Devils feed off of people's pain.
(Y/N): I hate it. Why did this have to happen to me?
Robin placed her hand on his shoulder.
Robin: I ask myself that question every day. My past...
(Y/N) looked at her. She turned away from him, her lip trembling.
Robin: Sorry. I can't talk about it. <thinking> It's no use getting attached to him. I'm going to leave him and the crew sooner or later.
(Y/N) stared at her.
Off in the distance, they heard the sounds of explosions and fighting.
Robin: Things seem to have gotten pretty lively in the forest.
(Y/N): Yeah.
The two continued on until they found the ruins of an old hut swallowed up by the forest. The entrance was barely sticking out of the ground.
Robin: I wonder if the ruins of the main city fared better.
(Y/N): We'll see when we get there.
Suddenly, they heard what sounded like a sheep's bleat.
Two figures landed on the ruins of the old hut. They kind of looked like human goats, with long ears and two horns on their heads.
???: A woman and a man?! This route leads to God's temple! It is sacrilege to go any further, baa!
Robin: Get down from there! You don't seem to understand the historical significance of these ruins.
???: Huh? Insolent wench!
(Y/N): What do you want with us?
???: I will tell you!! By the order of God, the Shandians and you Blue Sea people shall feel my axe dial and—!!
Robin: Seis Fleurs: Twist!!
Six arms appeared on one of the men, twisting around him and breaking several bones.
Before the second could react, (Y/N) jumped into the air, his hands surrounded in swirling wind.
(Y/N): Twisting Turnbine Shot!!
He launched a wave of swirling wind towards the man, hitting him head-on and blowing him back into a nearby tree, knocking him unconscious.
(Y/N) landed next to Robin and yawned.
Robin: <looking at the fallen men> What a terrible thing to do.
(Y/N): Hmm... So I guess God or whatever is sending his forces to get rid of us and whatever "Shandians" he was talking about. That must be what all the battle noise is from.
Robin: We need to pick up the pace then.
...
As the two continued walking, they came upon a giant structure with a face on it.
(Y/N): What the hell is this?
Robin: It looks like some sort of big gravestone or memorial.
She took out a book and flipped through the pages.
Robin: A stone memorial to the city itself. Its heirs must have built this after the city feel. Shandora. That is the name of the ancient city.
She touched the memorial.
Robin: The year 402 of Kaien... The city thrived over 1,100 years ago. And it was destroyed... 800 years ago! It falls right into the gap in the history of this world. Perhaps this island holds the secrets of the unspoken history that the land below has ceased to talk about.
(Y/N): This is the Void Century you've been talking about? There's a whole gap of history missing?
Robin: Yes.
Suddenly, they heard the something. They turned around and saw a woman moving towards them. She was wearing something that looked like ice skates. She also had small wings on her back.
Behind her lumbered Yama.
Yama: Come back here, pretty lady!! Baa!!
(Y/N): What in the...?
The woman saw both him and Robin. She grit her teeth.
???: Move!!
She aimed the rifle she was holding at them and shot. Robin jumped away to avoid some of them, while the bullets that went towards (Y/N) simply went harmlessly through him.
???: <shocked> Are you a Logia?!
(Y/N): Who are you?!
Yama: Oh? Perfect! Some Blue Sea people as well!
The skate things on the woman's feet suddenly propelled her forward towards (Y/N) with incredible speed.
She raised her shield and brought it down to slam him in the head, but that also harmlessly passed through him.
(Y/N): Why do you still fight if you know you can't hit me?
???: Wait... You're not Enel's underling...
(Y/N): Huh? Of course not!
Behind him, Robin stood facing Yama.
???: Then that woman isn't...?
(Y/N): No, she's with me.
The woman aimed her rifle at Yama.
???: You better tell your friend to move then. I just want that big guy.
(Y/N): Robin—
Just then, a giant Venus fly trap emerged from the ground, engulfing both (Y/N) and the woman.
Robin: (Y/N)!! What—?!
Yama: Oh. Xeren. I didn't know you picked this area for your challenge.
Xeren walked out of the shadows, his sensu fan covering his mouth.
Xeren: I'll leave that Blue Sea woman to you. I'll deal with these two.
Yama: <nodding> Baa!!
(Y/N): Okay. I wasn't expecting a giant plant. <to the woman> You may want to hold on if it doesn't make you uncomfortable.
???: What are you going to...?
They then felt the plant moving at a very fast speed. Xeren sat on top of it.
Xeren: <grinning> Hmm... A Shandians and a Blue Sea person. Seems like it's my lucky day.
(Y/N) pressed both of his hands against the inside of the plant's mouth.
(Y/N): Storm Gust!!
Swirling wind blew out of his palms, pushing (Y/N) and the woman up towards the opening of the plant's mouth. The mouth was forced opened, although Xeren jumped off of it just as the (H/C) haired male and the woman shot out of the plant.
The woman did a front flip and landed back on the ground. (Y/N) landed next to her.
The plant fell to the ground either unconscious or dead. Xeren, however, was fine.
Xeren: Oh? A Devil Fruit user, I see.
The woman aimed her rifle at him.
???: Watch out. He's one of Enel's vassals so he uses Mantra.
(Y/N): Mantra?
???: He can predict your moves before you make them.
(Y/N): Oh, that's just great.
Xeren giggled and pointed his fan at the two.
Xeren: A Shandians and a Blue Sea person teaming up? How curious.
(Y/N): <thinking> Shandian... They must be the original inhabitants of Shandora!
He looked at the woman.
(Y/N): What's your name.
???: Raki. And yours?
(Y/N): (Y/N). Do you mind fighting alongside a Blue Sea man?
Raki: No. Wyper doesn't like you people, but I have no qualms about you. We both share a common enemy, anyway.
(Y/N): Good.
Xeren: <smirking> I hope you give me a challenge. The couple of Shandians I've encountered so far were pitifully weak.
He then noticed the bag that was around Raki's torso.
Xeren: A bag of vearth? Really?
Raki: It's for someone close to me.
(Y/N) raised an eyebrow but didn't ask.
Xeren chuckled and started spinning around, waving his fan.
Xeren: I hope you're ready to face my Flora Challenge!
(Y/N): Why the hell are you spinning around like that?
Raki: Don't underestimate him. He's tough.
Suddenly, four giant vines emerged from the ground, shooting towards (Y/N) and Raki.
Raki jumped onto one of the vines and used her skate things to move towards the spinning Xeren. She aimed her rifle at him.
(Y/N), meanwhile, just stood still. The vines went right through him.
Raki shot at Xeren, who held out his fan. The bullet hit the fan, somehow ricocheting off of it back at Raki, who jumped to avoid it. She shot more bullets at him.
(Y/N) then leapt towards Xeren, who ducked to avoid his storm-infused punch.
Xeren: Ah-ah-ah. I know your movements before you make them.
The vines circled around, shooting at (Y/N) and Raki again.
(Y/N) clapped his hands together.
(Y/N): Storm Clap!!
A shockwave erupted from his hands, blowing the vines back. Raki used the distraction to zoom over to Xeren.
She shot more bullets at him. However, he simply avoided all of them. He then waved his sensu fan.
Xeren: Lightning Sensu!!
His fan began to produce lightning that zapped. He swung it at Raki, shooting out a bolt of lightning at her.
She tried to avoid it, but it was too fast. She cried out in pain as she was electrocuted.
Xeren: <laughing> I've attached a Thunder Dial to my sensu fan!! Shocking, isn't it?
Just then, (Y/N) rammed into him, covered in swirling wind.
(Y/N): Twisting Tornado!!!
Xeren coughed up blood as he flew into a nearby tree.
(Y/N): You should never drop your guard!
Xeren stood up, wiping his bleeding lip. He grinned.
Xeren: You're a fast one, aren't you? I take it you're also a Logia.
He then noticed Raki on the ground, panting. He rushed over to her, sensu fan at the ready.
Xeren: Lightning Sensu!
Lightning shot out towards the woman. She gasped, but was too hurt to move fast enough.
(Y/N) ran and grabbed her, moving her out of the way.
Raki: Thank you...
(Y/N): Watch out!
A thorny vine flew out of the ground and went straight towards Raki. (Y/N) moved in front of her and made a slashing motion with his arm.
(Y/N): Slicing Wind!
A slice of sharp air flew out of his arm and cut the vine in half.
Raki: <panting> Thanks again.
(Y/N): Rest a bit. I'll handle him.
He walked over to Xeren, who grinned and held out a dial. It was pink and green.
Xeren: I must say. I'm quite fond of these Flora Dials.
He dropped it onto the ground and a giant Venus fly trap emerged from it.
(Y/N) jumped back away from it as it chomped on air.
Xeren leapt over it, swinging his electric fan around.
Xeren: Sensu Shock Slash!!
He sent an electric slash out of the fan towards (Y/N). However, the lightning was absorbed into his body.
Xeren: EH?!!
(Y/N): I'm a Storm man. I just absorb lightning.
Xeren was too distracted by the sudden turn of events that he didn't notice Raki jumping at him from behind, holding a dial.
Raki: Impact!!
Xeren and Raki were both blown back by the force from the dial. Blood flew out of Xeren's mouth as he flew towards (Y/N).
(Y/N): <surrounding his fist in swirling wind> Thunder Strike!!
He punched Xeren in the face with his fist, sending him flying back into the giant Venus fly trap which tried to attack Raki.
Xeren leapt onto his feet, gripping his fan.
Xeren: You are starting to annoy me.
A giant spinning flower then emerged from the ground. Xeren jumped on top of it as it lifted off of the ground. It was now hovering over the two.
Xeren: Luckily I planted all of my Flora Dials before this fight.
He covered his mouth with his sensu fan again and closed his eyes.
All of a sudden, multiple vines, Venus fly traps, thorns, and other various plants began to shoot out of the ground.
(Y/N) found himself being swallowed by another giant Venus fly trap again.
Raki, meanwhile, was tied up when some vines wrapped around her.
(Y/N) used his Storm-Storm Fruit powers to blast himself out of the giant plant. However, while he was midair, Xeren leapt up at him and slashed him on the back with his fan.
(Y/N): GAH!! <thinking> Seastone?!
He landed on top of a giant flower.
Xeren: Looks like I'll have to just use my fan's slash attacks then. I guess making it out of this Seastone stuff amounted to something after all.
Yellow dust randomly started to release from the flower (Y/N) was on. He started to feel woozy.
Xeren: Ah. That plant you're standing on releases pollen that makes you very tired. What bad luck you have.
He slashed his fan at (Y/N).
Xeren: Sensu Air Slash!!
His fan released a sharp slash at (Y/N), who managed to jump off of the flower. The slash cut the flower in half and continued on, slicing other Flora and some trees in half.
Raki then used her skates to propel herself forward, causing the vines to snap. She aimed her rifle at Xeren and shot multiple bullets at him.
Unfortunately, he predicted her attacks and avoided them all.
The woman continued moving forward, shooting at him some more.
While he was avoiding the bullets, (Y/N) pointed his finger at him, trying to steady his aim.
(Y/N): Lightning Shot!
A bolt of lightning shot out of his finger at Xeren, who just barley managed to avoid it. He looked back at (Y/N), shocked.
Xeren: Lightning? But God ate the Rumble-Rumble Fruit!
Raki: <thinking> Hmph. Well, lightning are a part of storms, right?
She then used that distraction to shoot Xeren in the shoulder. He cried out in pain.
Thorny vines shot at her. She landed on the ground and propelled away from them. However, they still followed her.
Thorny vines also moved towards (Y/N), who was still a little woozy from the pollen. He did his best to avoid them.
Xeren activated the Thunder Dial on his fan and sent out a slash of lightning at Raki. It hit her skates, causing her to propel out of control.
Raki: Damn!!
She was sent barreling into the forest and out of sight.
Xeren: Meh. I'll deal with her after I deal with this Blue Sea person.
He turned just in time to see (Y/N) point his finger at the thorny vines.
(Y/N): Tornado Finger!!
A giant tornado shot out of his finger, engulfing a lot of the flowers as well as the thorny vines.
It also dragged the hovering flower that Xeren was standing on.
Xeren: Shit!
He sent out an air slash with his fan, cutting the tornado in half.
(Y/N): What kind of fan is that? <thinking> It's reminding me of Ms. Obon's weapon.
Xeren landed on the ground and held out another Flora Dial.
Xeren: <licking his lips> Time to die.
He threw the dial at (Y/N), who moved out of the way. It landed on the ground before sinking into it.
Just then, a huge, red plant burst out of the ground, swallowing (Y/N). The opening closed, leaving him trapped.
(Y/N): You know this won't hold me!
He shot out a blast of swirling wind, but it only threw him back into the wall.
Xeren: You can't escape from this plant. It absorbs attacks like that. You're trapped. Not even Logia fruits can get out of this baby.
(Y/N) felt his legs getting wet. He looked down and saw liquid begin to fill up in the plant.
Xeren: Now you're going to drown. Farewell, whatever your name is.
(Y/N) felt himself getting weak. The liquid must've been water.
(Y/N): <thinking> Damn! This is not good!
Xeren hid his mouth with his sensu fan as he began to cackle and spin around.
(A/N): So I may or may not have gotten that last plant idea from Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs LOL
Also these One Piece chapters are getting released faster because they've been made in advance.
