(Recap)

I woke up to the pilot announcing our imminent landing. Taking out my earbuds, I put them in my pocket and gathered my things. When the plane landed, I stepped out, taking a deep breath as I looked at the place I had dreaded.

INDIA..........

Bhavya's POV

Exiting the airport, I looked around for my aunt, who was supposed to pick me up. Finally, I spotted her by a car, holding a sign with my name. Relief flooded over me as I hurried towards her, giving her a tight hug. "Maasi! I missed you so much," I exclaimed. She laughed warmly and hugged me back. "I missed you too, baccha. Let's get in the car. We can catch up on the way home."

As we drove, I couldn't help but admire the scenery. Excitement bubbled inside me as we approached the gates of her house. Passing through, I gazed in awe at the magnificent mansion before us. Getting out of the car, I followed my aunt to the front door, my excitement growing.

"Welcome to your new home, Bhavya," Maasi said with a smile as she opened the door. "Wow, it's amazing," I said, impressed by the grandeur of the mansion.

Maasi chuckled at my reaction. "Come on, I'll show you to your room." She led me to a room in the middle of the second floor. "This is your room. You can unpack, and I'll make you something to eat."

Still in awe of the room's beauty, I nod enthusiastically. The light walls, comfy bed, closet, and hanging succulents make it feel fresh and welcoming. And the balcony filled with plants adds to the charm. "It's stunning!" I exclaim, unable to contain my excitement.

Maasi smiles warmly. "I'm glad you like it. Make yourself comfortable. I'll be in the kitchen if you need anything." As I unpack, the reality of my new adventure sinks in. I feel grateful for the unexpected warmth and comfort of this breathtaking mansion in Rajasthan.

After changing and settling in, I head downstairs to the kitchen. Maasi gestures for me to sit, placing a stack of pancakes in front of me. I thank her and start eating. Maasi sits across from me and shares some important news.

"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. You use the office on the third floor. It belonged to your father, but since..." I notice the pain in her eyes when she mentioned my father. "...in any case, you can use it. It hasn't been used in a while, so it might be a bit dusty. But we can clean it up for you."

Feeling a sense of responsibility, I offer, "I'd like to clean it myself, if that's okay." Maasi nods in agreement, "Of course. The cleaning supplies are in the basement. You can grab them when you're ready." I nod and continue enjoying the delicious pancakes.

After finishing my pancakes, I wash my plate in the kitchen before heading back to my room. Unsure of what to do next, I notice the balcony and decide to go out there. Grabbing my iPod, I step onto the balcony. The cool wind ruffles my hair, and I take a deep breath, enjoying the refreshing air.

Sitting on the balcony couch, I admire the view while listening to music. Suddenly, my phone rings, showing "boss" on the caller ID. I quickly answer:

Bhavya: "Hello, boss!"

Boss: "Hello, Bhavya. I hope you arrived safely at your aunt's house."

Bhavya: "Yes, sir. What's up?"

Boss: "Good. Mr. Ratan Das called. He wants to meet with you tomorrow before going to the site. I gave him your number. He'll send you the meeting location."

Bhavya: "Okay, no problem, boss. Anything else?"

Boss: "No, that's all."

Bhavya: "Okay then. Bye. I'll go through the files before tomorrow."

Boss: "Good luck, Bhavya. Bye."

(Call ends)

With a sigh, I leave the balcony and return to my room. But the thought of tackling the pile of files doesn't appeal to me. Instead, I decide to check out the office on the third floor.  Climbing the stairs, I reach the third floor. As I open the office door, it screeches loudly, disturbing the quiet. Stepping inside, the musty smell of dust surrounds me. I walk to the desk and swipe my finger across it, gathering a thick layer of dust that makes me wrinkle my nose. Pushing aside the dust, I look around and see everything covered in grime or hidden under white sheets. "Looks like a big job, Bhavya! Let's get to work," I tell myself, mentally gearing up to revive this neglected space.

Leaving the room, I find a maid in the living room and ask about the basement. Following her directions, I gather cleaning supplies and return to the office, ready to begin.

After four hours of dedicated cleaning, the office is transformed, appearing rejuvenated. Pleased with the result, I give myself a mental pat on the back. "Good job, Bhavya," I whisper to myself. The only task left is to organize the scattered books and arrange them neatly on the shelves.

Gathering all the cleaning supplies, I line them up near the office door before starting to arrange the books on the shelf. As I place one book, something suddenly tumbles from the top, making me jump in fright. "Ah!" I scream, quickly placing a hand over my chest to steady my racing heart.

Turning my attention to the fallen object, I spot an old wooden box with something faded written on it. Curiosity piqued, I reach for it and wipe off the dust to reveal a name—surprisingly, it's mine. Carefully, I lift the box lid open, mindful not to damage it as it seems on the verge of breaking.

Inside, I find a photo album, some toys, and a stack of letters and files. Just as I'm about to delve deeper into the contents, my Maasi calls out to me. With a quick decision, I close the lid and slide the box under the table, leaving the mystery hidden for now.

Third Person POV

Bhavya steals one last glance at the box under the shelf before leaving the room, making a mental note to explore its contents later.

As she steps out, she finds her Maasi waiting, a joyful expression on her face. "What happened? What's got you so happy, Kanika Maasi?" Bhavya asks.

"I want to show you something," her Maasi responds, taking Bhavya's hand and leading her to the garage. Bhavya looks around, curious about what's hidden under the large cloth. Kanika unveils it, revealing a car.

Bhavya's eyes widen in surprise as she turns to face Kanika. "Ye meri taraf se aapke liye tohofa. (This is a gift from me)," Kanika announces. "Really!!! Maasi, thank you very much. I love you," Bhavya exclaims, hugging her tightly. Overjoyed, she spins Kanika around, unaware of the pair of red eyes discreetly watching them.

Unknown POV

The girl has finally arrived.

Master will be overjoyed. The poor little girl has no idea what's coming for her. There is nothing that can stop us now.
