McKennas POV
The next day I decided to sleep in until 1pm. Just to make sure I was well rested for the night. Plus the flight was at 8am tomorrow morning so I figured I could just sleep on the plane. I did my usual morning routine only it was now afternoon and headed downstairs
"Hello sleeping beauty" Marissa chanted as she finished off cleaning the house. I greeted back and sat at the bench chugging down a big glass of water
"Are you sure I can leave early today hun?" I have told Marissa it was ok for her to finish up around 1/2 just so she didn't feel obliged to feeling like she needed to help set up for the party.
"It's ok Marissa, you need rest" she nodded as she pulled up a chair next to me
"Now are you all packed for your flight tomorrow?"
"Yup, all done"
"Are you su-"
"I'm positive, I swear Marissa you've got stop worrying about me" I cut off causing her to smile
"Hey" Leo walked in all ready for the day. He must've been up early today
He started grabbing ingredients out of the fridge, then grabbed some bread to make a sandwich
"I can make that sir" Marissa scrambled to get out of her seat
"You can call me Leo you know" he chuckled "I'm ok, you go home the house is fine" Marissa nodded and grabbed her belongings
"Ok I'll go, please stay safe in Mexico, call me if you need anything" she said pulling me into a tight hug. I tapped on her shoulder
"I can't breath" she laughed and pulled away "I'll be fine, I'll message you as soon as I land" she nodded and looked over at Leo
"Look after her Leo" she said as she walked out
"Always!" He said loud enough for her to hear. And with that she shut the door
"You want one?" I shook my head as he pointed at his sandwich
"Have you eaten anything?" I shook my head again as I tried to wake myself up
"Come on you need to eat something"
"I don't usually eat before Parties or a night out, it makes me bloat" I said scrunching my nose.
"You're kidding me, I'm making you a sandwich"
"NO Leo it's quite alright, I've done this so many times"
"Suit yourself" he started to stuff his mouth.
It was 5pm when I was upstairs getting ready for the party. I curled my hair and applied makeup. This took up 3hrs of my time meaning it was now 8pm and people were due to arrive soon. I rushed into my wardrobe looking at all the dresses I owned. Ofcourse I packed all of my fav dresses. I settled on a black mini dress that had spaghetti straps and lace trimming at the chest. I chucked on my YSL heels and then started to head out the door. Running into Leo who was exiting his room at the same time
"Shit sorry" he mumbled. We locked eyes and he smirked looking me up at down. I swear this boy was checking me out
"You look nice" he softly said causing me to blush. He was wearing a yellow sweater, black jeans that had a chain hung from the belt strap to his pocket. Basic I know but he did look really hot. Ugh I can't believe I thought that
"You scrub up alright" I smiled and made my way downstairs.
While we were getting ready Ava insisted on decorating the house. I couldn't say no, it was one less thing i had to stress about. There were already some people downstairs. Girls sitting with Kristen who I assumed is her friends and some of the cast floating around downstairs. I took in our surroundings, Leo doing the same.
Ava went over the top. There were balloons floating at the top of rooms, covering every inch of ceiling. The kitchen bench filled with food, and atleast 7 punch bowls scattered around the house
"Mckennaaaa..." Leo slowly said looking around "I thought this was going to be a small party?" My eyes widened. That sneaky girl
"Uh I thought so too.."
"McKenna I swear to god if this turns out to be a bigger party than anticipated I'm gonna send everyone home" I laughed nervously praying that this night doesn't go to shit.
Leo and I walked into what was our lounge room. I couldn't even recognise it at the beginning due to the shutters being closed to make the room extra dark. The music was on full volume
"Is that a fog machine?" Leo questioned I looked around. Huh he's right.
"This is all too much, if she wanted to go clubbing we could've just gone out instead of turning our house into one..... is that a dj" he looked mortified. We both knew what was going to happen tonight
"Atleast the lights are cool" Ava managed to get her hands on the lights that changed patterns and colours. Leo scoffed and licked his lips.
"I'm gonna go get a drink" I rushed off before he could say anymore. As I was grabbing a drink Paul appeared giving me an unexpected hug
"Hey, nice party" I faked a smile
"Oh just you wait" I mumbled. The thing with Ava is that she was the reason for my wild behaviour. You think I'm an animal when it comes to partying, Ava is 10x worse. This is just the calm before the storm. The last time I threw a party with her was about a year ago. Hundreds and hundreds of people came. We had people back flipping off our roofs and into the pool, music blaring at every inch of the house it was out of control. The cops got called in and dad found out. Hence why I'm supposed to be on a party ban.
"Where are the others?" I questioned Paul, him just shrugging his shoulders. As I went to speak again atleast 50 people filtered through the house.
"Do you know these people?"
"Nope and I need another drink"
I hung out with Paul most of the night. I danced with Kristen and some of her model friends and saw Leo a couple of times when he wasn't with Kristen. I was worried he was going to unplug the music and tell everyone to leave, but to my surprise he looked like he was having the time of his life. The one person I haven't seen yet is Ava. Where is she?
At this point I was so drunk that I was almost struggling to walk. Paul has ditched me to go see dash and the others, leaving me to wander the party alone.
"Kenna?" I heard an English accent voice behind me
"Kate? OMG" when I finally realise it was her I ran and jumped on her
"How are you darling? I haven't seen you in so long" she said making me hug tighter. Back in the day her and I were practically like sisters. It was quite surprising we drifted apart
"I'm good, how have you been? I missed you so much, we have so much to talk about" I rambled on sending her into laughter
"Let's go get a drink" we ended up sitting by the pool outside. Considering the amount of people that were inside, I was a bit taken back that people haven't filtered to the pool. Leaving just me and Kate in the lonesome outdoors
"How are you and Leo?"
"We're good, I mean it's only been 2 weeks since he moved in but I guess you can say we're friends" she smiled at the fact that her 2 closest friends were finally getting along again
"You know he has missed you, all those years even in high school" I nodded
"I know and I missed him too" usually I'd speak about this topic in denial but I think the alcohol was finally taking over
"Remember you used to have the fattest crush on him in elementary" I spat my drink out
"We don't talk about that, I had to train myself to forget about it" it was true, I had a crush on Leo for years. Kate never knew this but it carried on to high school. That was until Leo started bullying me which I think in a way sparked an ignition of me hating on him so much
Kate pretended to zip her mouth and throw the key into the pool
"Ummm Kate" I turned around to see Tobey by the door. I got up so quick that I almost tripped over. Kate just laughing behind me. You could say that we were both really drunk at this point
"TOBEY" I slurred, him giving me a quick hug
" as much as I am happy to see you right now and want to chat, we have a bit of a problem right now" tobey rambled. I tilted my head in curiousity.
"Why...." Kate said snapping out of drunk stage. Tobeys mouth fell into a flat line
"Follow me" he gestured
Kate and I just looked at each other confused. We followed tobey to the couches that was set up in the lounge-room. The cast boys was seated along with brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and mark wahlberg. I walked in between the group who have all stopped talking and looked at me. All with a worried expression on their face.
"Look who's here" dash stood up to give me a bear hug
"What's going on?" I questioned. Everyone looked at each other and pointed towards 2 people hooking up in the corner of the room
"And?" I questioned, it was dark in here and I didn't have my glasses on. Even if I squint I couldn't really make out who they were
"It's Leo" I raised an eyebrow at dash
"Yeh Leo and Kristen why are you showing me?" I spat back with a sense of jealousy
Tobey cleared his throat "no not Kristen it's uh... Ava"
My eyes widened and my heart started beating fast. It was all anger. I froze. My eyes twitching in disbelief
"Oh you have to be kidding me" I heard Kate in the background. Kate never really liked Ava due to the fact that she believed her intentions weren't always right
I felt a tug at my hands and I slowly looked down to Paul's worried expression
"Come on sit down" I shook my head
"I need a drink" I mumbled
"I don't think thats a good idea McKenna, you can barely stand as it is"
"Just give me a fucking drink" I slurred, dash just handing me a drink. I wasn't going to drink it. Both tobey and Kate knew me well enough that I wasn't, yet they didn't stop me. I stormed my way over to the corner carefully dodging people in my way. Paul and Dash close behind me realising what I was going to do
Paul spun me around "don't McKenna it's fine give me the drink" I turned around and spilt my drink all over Ava's back.
"What the fuck" she screamed turning around whilst on Leo's lap. Leo's eye widened then squinted
"Kenna?" I crossed my arm. Leo looked at me then looked at Ava then to me again
"What the hell" he said as he shoved Ava off his lap
"McKenna your such a cock block"
"Get out" I said through gritted teeth
"He kissed me I don't know why you're so mad about it" neither did I. But just something about Leo kissing Ava has put me in my worse moods
"GET OUT" she got up and scurried off. Leo got up and walked towards me his breath reeking of alcohol. I pushed him against the wall and started poking him in the chest as i talked
"what are you doing dicaprio! You have a girlfriend. I just witnessed you cheating on your girlfriend... omg poor Kristen where is she" I said starting to worry
"I don't have a girlfriend I broke up with her tonight..." what did he just say
"What?!" I said scrunching my face. This is all too confusing right now.
"I need a drink" I said again, Dash handing me another cup as I took a sip and stumbled to my bedroom to clear my mind. So let me get this straight Leo broke up with Kristen, and then hooked up with Ava. 2 things didn't add up. Number 1. Kristen and Leo were perfectly happy just yesterday why did they break up? And number 2. Leo doesn't even like Ava
I sat at my vanity and burried my head in my hands. This is all too much. Why do I even care? Did I just lose my best friend? I was starting to feel really nauseous at the thought, but the sound of my door opening and shutting snapped me out of it
"Please leave me alone" I said miserably
"McKenna" I looked up at Leo who was sitting on my bed
"Let me explain"
"You don't have to explain, it's none of my business, I don't even care" that's a lie. I didn't even convince myself
"Kristen isn't here, I broke up with her because I just didn't feel the spark anymore, it was going to be hard trying to work through it while I'm away in Mexico. It was mutual. And the yo- I mean Ava came up to me saying how she has liked me for so long. I didn't even realise it was her" I looked at Leo and laid in my bed not uttering a single word. I was listening but I needed to make it out like I didn't care
"I thought Ava was you is what I'm trying to say. It was dark I couldn't see, I kissed Ava thinking it was you..." I shot up in my spot, met with his blue orbs already pointing in my direction
"Leonardo why would you even kiss me to begin with" he shrugged and mumbled. I couldn't make out what he said maybe it was just drunk talk
"I just... forgive me I'm trying to wrap my head around you breaking up with your girlfriend and then kissing someone that you assumed was me, why not any other girl?"
"I...doesn't matter" I laid back down starting to feel really dizzy.
"Can I please lay down I don't feel too good right now" Leo slurred. I nodded as he took the spot next to me
"I'm happy we're ok now Kenna" he said planting a kiss on my forehead and pulling me in to cuddle.
Usually I'd be fighting back and given the situation that just unfolded I'd usually be kicking him out of the room let alone the house, But something about him giving me a kiss and cuddles made me felt so right even though it was was wrong thing to do. This is all happening way to fast, this is all wrong but He seemed to calm me down.
