Mckennas POV
Today is now Tuesday. Which means there's 2 days left until we leave for Mexico. Leo, Kristen and I were hanging out by the pool due to it being so hot the last couple of days. We were all trying to ride out the heatwave.
"So are you going to come visit us in Mexico?" I said peering over the pool wall at Kristen as her and Leo laid on the sun beds
"I'm going to try, I'm flat out trying to get through my list of jobs. I head over to Paris next month though, maybe I can catch a flight to Mexico from there?"
"Paris?! omg I love Paris"
"Their food is shitty" Leo exclaimed
"It's not always about the food stupid head" I replied
"I'm just excited to have a break after Paris, being a model is hard work"
"And you want me to try it out, you're not being very convincing kris" I said laughing causing her to shrug
"Pfft you be a model?" Leo said lifting his head over at me
"Don't be mean Leo" Kristen said hitting his leg
"You didn't give her your agencies details did you?"
"In fact I did, what are going to do about it" Kristen said getting up and walking over to the pool and dipping her legs in.
"Don't be stealing my cast babe... in all seriousness Kenna please don't think about modeling until after the movie, after that I don't care what you do" he said putting his head back down
"I wasn't plan on doing it anyway so you can chill" I said starting to float back into the water
"You won't even consider it?" I shook my head at Kristen. After going to my costume fitting the other day, I soon realised I was not cut out to work in that industry. Having someone judge your appearance and making changes without your consent sometimes just isn't the life I wanted.
"I'm flattered, but I think I'm gonna stick to acting for now" I smiled
"I can't imagine you being a model anyway" Leo shouted out
"Hey!" Kristen and I said in unison. "Shut up Dicaprio"
After some time, we were all seated at the Sun lounges just chatting our little hearts away. Leo and I talking about memories as Kristen listened
"Kenna!" I heard someone call out, I turned around and spotted Ava running towards our direction
"I'm sorry I hope it's ok I invited Ava over" I quickly whispered. Leo sighed and Kristen smiled
"The more the merrier" she said.
I popped up and walked over to Ava, engulfing her into a hug
"How did you get in? I thought I told you to message me" I said laughing as Ava threw he bag onto the table that was outside and took off her coverup to a revealing cut red bikini. I widened my eyes knowing that she never ever wore things like this.
"What are you wearing?" I slowly mumbled
"I got it yesterday! Cute right" she said as she twirled showing off her set
"I thought I'd be able to get some perfect wear out of it today hehe, and Marissa was out the front as I got here so she let me in" I nodded slowly
"Is that Leo?" She said glancing over at the Sun lounges. Before I had the chance to reply she was already brushing pass me and heading in their direction
"LEO omg fancy you being here" as if she didn't know he was going to be here. She seems so... different today? I shrugged and walked towards the spot. Kristen stood up as Leo still stayed on the lounge only sitting up this time.
"Hey I'm Kristen" kris smiled ready with open arms, only Ava ignored it. I gave her an apologetic smile but she didn't seem to bothered, still planting a big smile on her face
"I'm Ava, I'm Kenna's best friend" she said blankly but then looking down at Leo
"Well come on Leo, come give me a hug, I haven't seen you in years" she said giddily. Leo looked at Kristen and then looked at me. I shrugged and laid down back onto the lounge. Leo got up and gave her a tense small hug looking down at me awkwardly. I just giggled.
After talking for a bit, or let's say Ava talking we all found ourselves in the pool.
"-you should've seen Leo's face after the teacher yelled at him" she said laughing we all were just sending her fake laughs. I don't know what has gotten into this girl but for the 20min she's been here it's been nothing but "leo and I did this" "oh remember Leo when this happened" "leo we have to do this" leo leo leo. I was just happy that Kristen didn't seem phase to my best friends eagerness towards her boyfriend.Perhaps she was already used to girls obsessing over Leo
"Oh you in the basketball diaries, Leo, I've got to say you looked so hot" my eyes widened and I frowned towards Ava
"Uh thanks I guess" Leo awkwardly said shooting glances at Kristen who is giggling at their interaction
"Yeah you were perfect.. don't you reckon Kenna"
"I wouldn't know I haven't seen it" I blankly said sliding off the inflatable lounge
"What do you mean you haven't seen it, Leo's in it"
"Ava I don't know if you remember but Leo and I did not get along for so many years why would I go out of my way to watch his movies?" I was starting to get a little fed up by all this Leo talk. She's never usually like this. She was coming on too hard, I felt bad for the others
"You should've won an Oscar for that, you're so tal-" I got out of the pool
"I'm getting a drink do you guys want anything?"
"Coke?" Leo said looking over at Kristen
"Yeah a coke would be nice, thanks Kenna" Kristen smiled
"I'll grab a coke too" Ava said causing me to roll my eyes
"No you're coming with me, I need a hand bringing them out"
"But -"
"Please Ava" she sighed and hopped out of the pool and followed me into the kitchen
"Kenna, you should have called out for me, I could've brought it out for you" Marissa said as she finishes washing the dishes
"Cool tha-" I cut off Ava by grabbing her wrist before she could walk away
"It's fine, Marissa don't worry about us" Marissa smiled and walked off
"What was that for" Ava said pulling her wrist away
"What are you doing?" I snapped
"Helping you with the drinks, what do you think?" She said as she grabbed 4 coke cans out of our drinks fridge
"No not that, out there, you're acting strange" she looked at me confusedly
"Are you trying to scare Leo and Kristen away? Stop smothering the poor boy"
"Oh that I'm just catching up with him, I haven't seen him in so long and besides he's hot. So much better in person" she said said giggling like a lil fangirl
"His girlfriend is sitting right there, ease off a bit will you"
"Who Kirsty? I didn't even know"
"Kristen" I said correcting her. She's being so rude
"Ok ok I'm sorry Kenna, I couldn't help myself I thought I'd shoot my shot"
"He has a girlfriend, you'd know if didn't act so oblivious"
"I'm sorry, Im just excited, I'll talk to her when we go out there again" I smiled and grab the other 2 cokes and lead the way back to the pool
As we popped the drinks down I glanced over at Leo and Kristen, watching them hug and whisper to each other. Giving pecks here and there, all of that pda stuff. It struck my heart a little bit which was odd as I didn't have any sort of feeling towards Leo. I shook off the feeling and spoke up to the group
"So dad called me earlier, he landed in Mexico early this morning" I announced. My dad had to leave for set 2 days earlier to ensure the accomodation and sets were ready.
"He said I should invite the cast over either tonight or tomorrow just to break the ice and to get to know everyone better" i said as I took a sip of my drink
"Yeah that sounds good" leo smiled and nodded. I looked over at Ava seeing her frown thoughtfully. Uh oh
"Omg we should have a party" Leo immediately shook his head
"No no no" he said scratching the back of his neck. A party wouldn't be a bad idea right?
"Sounds appealing, it could be a send off for all of us considering we won't be around for a while?" I said thoughtfully, Leo said shaking his head still
"I can organise it if you like?" Ava said excitedly
"We're not having a party Ava, Kenna come on this isn't a great idea" Leo said sitting up more, giving me a serious glare
"I think it's a great idea" we all shot our eyes to Kristen. Ava smirked and I raised my eyebrows
"Come on babe, loosen up it'll be fun. We haven't done any sort of partying for a year now, we used to go out almost every night" she pouted
"I don't know...."
"Just one night dicaprio, it'll be small I promise, it'll be the cast of Romeo and Juliet, us and maybe we could invite Kate and Tobey I haven't seen them in a while" I looked at Ava who seemed to role her eyes at the sound of Kaye's and Tobeys name. What was up with that?
"Is it ok if I brought some of the girls?" Kristen asked perking up at the sound of the plans
"Yeah ofcourse" I smiled
"Please please please" we all said in unison. Leo rolled his eyes
"Fine" we all screamed and started going over the plans we had for the party we were hosting tomorrow night
"Not a big party ok?" Kristen and I nodded
"Yeh of course I'll buy drinks tonight so it's ready for tomorrow and I'll send out the invitations" Ava said
Boy were we wrong for letting her be in charge of the invitations
