The ninja are sailing the Destiny's Bounty away from Ninjago City.
"How far, Nya?" Cole asked from the control room
"We're going as fast as we can, but this ship needs some fine tuning for sure." Nya spoke not looking away from her task
Jay busily types away on the UHF, then looks around cautiously and finds himself looking at Garmadon.
I can't believe we went back for him, letting a sigh out and rolling my eyes at him.
Garmadon inspects the buttons. "Hmm."
Jay yells in surprise. "Aalgh!" Then walks to the rest of us. "Am I the only one freaking out about this?"
"Why freak out? Our derange, psychotic, arch-nemesis is now our house guest." Kai replied sarcastically
"I find the term freak out inadequate and imprecise. I prefer to say I am deeply troubled." Zane informed
"This isn't the first time Garmadon's lived under the same roof as us. We know what to expect." I stated glaring at Garmadon from across the room
"Lloyd? Are you sure he can be trusted?" Nya asked quietly
"No. Of course not." Lloyd answered simply
Garmadon walks around inspecting the buttons. "Of course not?! That's not what you're supposed to say. You're supposed to say yes." Jay yelled
"What choice do we have? If Master Wu is right, and we're under attack by the Oni, then my father may be our best chance. And anyway, he doesn't have his powers back, so how much trouble can he really cause?" Lloyd questioned and suddenly Garmadon presses a button. Sails fold in and the thrusters turn off. Everyone looks at him, Garmadon walks away.
"Did he just turn off the—" Zane was cut off by the ship plummeting
"Oh, great." Kai breathed out
We all start to scream "Ahhh!!"
"He shut off the engines! We're gonna crash!" Jay panicked
"Zane, the emission switch! Hit the emission switch!" Nya ordered
Zane starts for the emission switch, but Kai crashes into him, pulling him farther away from the emission switch.
"Ah! I can see the ground! It's getting really close, really fast!" Jay screamed and I struggled making my way for the emission switch, hitting it just in time for the Destiny's Bounty to rise up into the air.
We all sigh, getting back our breath.
"Hmm. That button should be labeled." Garmadon concluded
I walked over to him and the button. "Should it?! Because it is labeled! It literally says don't push while in motion!"
All Garmadon did was walk away and climb down the ladder.
"Perhaps it would be wise to accompany your father, Y/n, to prevent further... mishaps." Zane imputed making me sigh in anger
"Of course I'm the sibling who's forced to hang out with him. Never Lloyd!" I shout exiting the room after my father
Garmadon stares at a door. "Where does this go?"
"Nowhere. That's a closet." I state in a bored voice and Garmadon opens it anyway. A mop and a broom fall out. I sigh and pick it up, putting it back.
Garmadon turns to the door across. "And this one?" He opens it and jumps in.
I follow in. "That's the boys sleeping quarters."
"This is where you sleep? In this tiny... compartment?" Garmadon wondered out loud
"I don't sleep in here this is again the BOYS. Also It's not a compartment, it's a cabin. We're on a ship, remember?" I ask annoyed
Garmadon walks toward the ninja's pictures. "And what are these?"
"Just pictures." I respond
"Do they celebrate some conquest, or victory?" Garmadon questioned
"No, they're just pictures." I say as Garmadon stares at the picture of a reformed Garmadon, younger Lloyd, and me. He then turns his attention to one of me and Cole getting ice cream together. "You know, memories, good times." I walk toward the pictures, smiling, and remembering the good times.
"And this ninja is your... suitor?" Garmadon asks pointing to Cole.
I'm not going to even try to explain. "Well yes he is my Yin and I am his Yang."
"Hmm." Garmadon muttered picking up the one of him with Lloyd and me. "Who is that?"
"That's you." I look at Garmadon sadly. "Don't you remember?" Garmadon turns around, thinking about the picture, and throws it. "Wha-"I try to catch it but the glass picture breaks. "What's your problem?!"
"Sentimentality is a weakness. If you wish to defeat the Oni, you would do well to banish such feelings." He walks out.
I pick up the broken picture, and glare angrily at Garmadon. "Fine." I put the picture down. "I didn't like that picture anyway." I started to walk out but stop and walk back to pick up the broken picture, propping it up gently.
I look at it sadly, that connection... I will never have it again. I run out of the cabin catching up with my father again. "Are you done acting like a helpless child?" Garmadon asked
"Are you done acting like a bratty child who needs their parent to babysit them 24/7?" I shoot back
"Hmm."
"Please stop saying hmm. It's weird."
"Hmm."
"Are you... serious?"
"I'm quite serious all the time." Garmadon stated not giving me a hmm
Progress. "Yeah I think I got that."
He then went to the outside back deck but I didn't follow him. "Garmadon you should come back inside it's not safe to be back here when the ship is airborne."
"Why is that?"
"Because the wind can cause unexpected turbulences you can get knocked off the ship at any moment." I explained but Garmadon just went further out. "Fath- Garmadon stop!"
"Do you not command the wind?" Garmadon's countered
"Well yes but-"
"Then come stand beside me. Or are you too weak?" He smirked as my face grew more frustrated
Weak?! The absolute nerve! I stepped out onto the deck, but that was a huge mistake because as soon as I did huge turbulence came
I lost my balance flying through the air while Garmadon stayed put. "Weak." He groaned reaching out to grab me. "How could I raise such an insolent daughter?" He asked stabilizing me. "Harumi could have managed."
"Insolent daughter?! Weak?! Raising me?! And you replaced me with a murder and called her your daughter?! Well guess what, hate to break it to you but she's the one who died. So really am I weak? No because at least I've managed to survive. And you didn't even raise me! That was my real father Garmadon the one who was left behind in the cursed realm when it was destroyed! Not you. You never can and never will be him." I ranted on out of breath and what hurt the most was his expression stayed blank
"So vulnerable." Garmadon sighed leaving the deck
"All hands to the bridge." Zane voice rings on the intercom I quickly make my way up to the bridge seeing Kai, Jay, and Cole race for the bridge. While Garmadon casually leans on the rail. Kai hands signals to Garmadon that he is watching him.
"Ahem." The ninja take up fighting stances in case Garmadon makes any sudden movements. "The Oni entered this realm through a portal or rift between our world and theirs. There are only one or two ways this is possible. And, I'm willing to wager, it would've been through the Realm Crystal. To stop this darkness from spreading, the crystal must be destroyed."
Zane looks up on information about the Realm Crystal, typing faster and faster. "The Realm Crystal is currently housed in the new high-security vault, below Borg Tower."
"That's smack in the middle of Ninjago City!" Nya replied in shock
"Uh, we just escaped from there, remember? It's engulfed in a giant, black cloud of destruction, and now you're asking us to turn around and go back?" Kai replied
"I asked nothing. I am telling you that if you wish to stop the darkness, the crystal must be destroyed." Garmadon stated his red eyes piercing into my soul
"And I'm telling you, forget it. Just one of those black cloud tentacle things touched my foot for a second, and nearly froze me solid. We wouldn't last a minute inside the darkness." Cole explained
"That is correct. You are merely human. I, however, am Oni. I can enter the darkness, make my way to the crystal, and destroy it. I will of course, require a weapon." Garmadon infromed
"Ha! Fat chance!" Cole yelled in disbelief
"Do you really expect us to just hand you a sword and let you go?" Lloyd asked
"If you wish to live, yes." Garmadon nodded
"Well, forget it! No way! I wouldn't trust you with a-a-a—" lloyd stuttered
"Pillow." Kai put in for us us all ninja except Zane look at him disapprovingly. "It's the most harmless thing I could think of."
I turn to Garmadon. "It's not going to happen. You're not going anywhere, not without me or Lloyd. I'm your daughter, remember?" I walk up and stand before Garmadon. "I'm Oni, too."
"No." He pushes me back. And the ninja take up their stances again. "You are not pure Oni you still have dragon blood in you That means you might survive."
"Well, I guess we'll find out." I reply and we watch Garmadon as he walks out.
"I'm coming with you and father." Lloyd replied pulling me to the side away from everyone
"No Lloyd it's dangerous. I don't trust Garmadon if something happened to you I would never forgive myself you need to stay here and protect the team."
I watched his eyebrows furrow but he knew there was no point in arguing. "Fine."

The ninja are getting me ready for my journey. Zane places a camera over my head. "This will allow us to see what is happening inside the cloud."
"You sure you want to do this, Y/n?" Lloyd asks
"I'll be fine. Don't worry." I assure
"That assumption is unfounded. You are mostly human, that side of you is weak."Garmadon stated then chuckled lightly. "Or do I have to remind you about what happened earlier."
"It's also stubborn. Let's go. Give him a sword, Cole." I replied ignoring his comment about earlier. Cole pulls the sword out, watching Garmadon.
Garmadon waits patiently. "Hmm."
"Uhh, you sure about that?"
I nod and Garmadon stares at him impatiently. Cole nervously tosses the sword. Garmadon examined his sword and Cole turned his back walking towards me.
Garmadon leaps in the air at Cole. "Hi-yAH!"
I quickly pull my sword from behind him. "Look out!"
"Agghh!" Cole jumps back in time as Garmadon strikes the sword. Cole pulls out his hammer quickly, and blocks Garmadon's moves.
Garmadon knocks him aside as Jay faces him. Garmadon tosses Jay's nunchucks over his shoulder, and throws Jay on top of Cole.
Lloyd Spinjitzus to Garmadon, but Garmadon leaps over him, landing on Kai, then on Zane, and swings his sword at P.I.X.A.L.. Nya jumps down from the bridge with her sai out, but Garmadon blocks her from striking him and kicks her over him.
He jumps up to fight P.I.X.A.L. Zane shoots at him, only for Garmadon to strike the arrow aside.
Garmadon grabs P.I.X.A.L. by the throat and throws her into Zane.
Garmadon slowly summons up his powers as the ninja look on in surprise. "Hmm. That's better." He then jumps off the ship.
"Okay, what the heck was that?" Cole asked
"Conflict fuels him." I answer
"He was powering up." Zane added
"He did that just to get his powers back?!" Jay spazzed
Cole stomps angrily towards me. "I. Do. Not. Trust. Him!"
"Y/n, are you sure you want to go through with this?" Nya questioned
I look at the ninja. "No. But I don't really have a choice."
"Of course you do." Cole said walking up to me with concern on his face
I pull him in for a quick hug. "You know I don't. All of Ninjago is counting on the success of this mission."
"Come back safe." Cole whispered back letting me go
"You stay safe too, if any of you are not here when I get back... I don't know what I'll do." I give a smile to them before jumping off the ship with my sword and parachute bag.
After reaching the height I pulled my parachute slowly entering the cloud. To what looked like tentacles. So creepy.
I land on the ground, and take off my parachute, then put the sword behind my back.
Suddenly it felt like the air was being pulled out of my lungs. I could see my father in the distance summoning his powers. I continued to choke, gasping for air. I fell to the ground hoping this would pass.
Then air slowly entered back into my lungs. "I just needed to adjust." I whispered standing back up walking up to my father
"Hmm. That was foolish. You are fortunate to have survived." Garmadon concluded
"Like you care." I remark as we start to walk down the down the street towards Borg Tower. Occasionally, lanterns flicker light, then die out.
I find myself looking at people that were turned to stone, unable to escape the darkness.
When my eyes land on a certain someone
"Oh, no! Dr. Borg! Can you hear me? Cyrus!" I yell placing my hand on his shoulder
"He has fallen into darkness." Garmadon stated
"What does that mean?" I wave my hand in front of Cyrus Borg. "Is he still alive?"
"Yes, but in a deep slumber. Nothing you do will wake him." Garmadon informed with no emotion
"Well, there has to be something. He's my friend." I concluded. "Grab his legs."
"What?" Garmadon questioned in disgust
"Grab his legs, I'll get his arms. If we can get him back to the temple, maybe Wu can get him a potion or something." I say ready to carry him
Garmadon continues walking away. "Only the destruction of the Realm Crystal can save him now."
"Hey." I run up to Garmadon. "Hey!" I stop him. "Ninja don't leave friends behind."
"First, I am not a ninja." Garmadon said pushing me out of his way. "Second, I'm not a fool. And third, there are Oni out there, and we won't have a chance against them, if we're dragging a friend along like a human suitcase! So, you better decide, do you want to win or cling to your foolish ideals and perish?"
I run back to Cyrus Borg. "If you can hear me, we're going to fix this. I promise." I slowly walk away, looking back at Cyrus Borg. I felt bad I knew P.I.X.A.L. was watching, following Garmadon, and looking back once more at Cyrus Borg.
I turn the corner, and immediately hide, gasping. "Uh, oh."
Garmadon peaks around and chuckles. "Oni." The Oni look around from the base of Cyrus Borg Tower, keeping watch.
"What do we do? Maybe we can sneak around behind them, or find a manhole, or some—" I say making a plan
"I have a plan. Follow me." He walks toward the Oni. "Uh, greetings, Brother Oni. How are you? Love what you've done with the place." The Oni strike the ground with their weapons, casting darkness. "Now!" He leaps at the Oni, pulling out his sword. Runs, trying to slice the darkness.
"You really thought that would work?!" I yell dodging the Oni attacks
I start punching and kicking the Oni, only to find they too, know how to fight. Garmadon summons his power and strikes one of the Oni off the steps.
I run up to my father then turn around to see the other Oni get up from his fall and face me.
The Oni strikes my sword out of my hand, and uses the darkness to carry it away from me.
I leap for the sword, but missed. I lied there, staring at the Oni that is getting ready to kill me, but Garmadon lunges at the Oni taking him out.
"You-you saved my life." I stuttered standing up
Garmadon pushes me away and walks towards the entrance. "Again, your sentiment clouds your judgement. The Realm Crystal is all that matters. Two of us stand a better chance of victory than one."
"Fine. I don't care either. We work together until this is done, and then you go back to your jail cell." I say in frustration
Garmadon turns around, smiling evilly.
"What?" I ask confused
"What, what?" Garmadon questioned mainting his evil smile
"Why are you smiling like that?" I reply
"Maybe I'm happy."
"That's not a happy smile. That's an evil, I've-got-something-up-my-sleeve smile." I explain
"Really? How's this?" He smiles the same smile.
"That's exactly the same." I point out
"No, it isn't." Garmadon denies
"Yes, it is."
"No, it isn't!" He summons his power and I look at him fearfully, positioning myself into a fighting stance. Garmadon throws his power and I duck, letting the power hit an Oni that was coming up behind us.
I gasp turning back to look at the Oni rolling down the stairs. "Shall we continue?" He turns and walks in, with me behind him.
I see people who have been turned to stone that were unable to escape in time. The Cyrus Borg Tower symbol flickers slightly. I run up to Garmadon, and try to jump down.
"Ah-ah-ah. Power before youth." Garmadon jumps first making me roll my eyes.
"That's funny considering I was the one who defeated you." I mumble jumping down next
"What was that? I don't listen to people who mumble. It's a sign of weakness." Garmadon replied making me sigh angrily
Just let it go.
"This is it." Garmadon stated and we enter the room. Darkness is pouring out of the Realm Crystal, with whispering voices heard in the room.
Garmadon pulls out his sword, looking at the crystal. "Hmm." He strikes at the crystal, but is blocked by an Oni staff. The staff breaks the sword to pieces and throws Garmadon against the wall. "Ahhh!!"
I see Garmadon slump on the ground, and look back to see the darkness form into the shape of the Oni leader.
The Oni finishes his formation and strikes the floor with the staff, lightning flashing behind him.
Garmadon gets up. "What's that?" I ask slowly forgetting any feud I had with my father.
"Whatever it is, it's about to experience my full wrath." He summons his power into four mini swords and lunges at the Oni. "HI-YAH!!" He attacks the Oni, but within a few seconds, the Oni throws him against the wall.
I gasp in surprise as Garmadon tries to regain his power, but does not have enough anger in him to do so.
I do Spinjitzu, trying to get passed the Oni, only for me to be thrown against the wall as well. I yell in pain, and the camera is damaged, disconnecting the Bounty's signal from my camera.
"Who are y-you?" I ask trying to summon some Oni power. I looked over to the shattered glass seeing my eyes were purple.
"I am the Omega! The Destructor! The Bringer of Doom!" He marches towards us pointing his staff. "Are you the protectors of this realm?"
I nod and get up. "Yes. I am."
The Omega points at Garmadon. "And you?"
"Usually, no, but well today... yes!" Garmadon said and I looked down to see the purple energy forming in my hands. My anger was getting harder to control
"You are both an Oni." Garmadon gets up "Yet, you fight to preserve this realm." He leans a bit back, seemingly disgusted. "Why?"
"I don't particularly like being associated with that side of me honestly. I go more with the Dragon side but-" I was cut off by Garmadon putting his hand over my mouth
Garmadon sighs acting as if I never gave an answer. "If anyone is going to destroy Ninjago, it'll be me, not some Oni usurper with a walking stick." He smacks the staff away.
"Then perish with them!" The Omega holds up his staff, getting ready to strike at us.
