"So..." Felicity looked up from her project papers and stared at Alexander patiently.
"What do u think?" They were currently at Alexander's apartment. Felicity had invited herself over because she wanted him to go through her project papers of a startup business plan and proofread them for her.
"It's..hmm," Alexander tapped on the table and flipped to the next page.
"It's what?" Felicity asked curiously.
"It can be better, it lacks the basic practicality. The idea is great but it is not feasible. First, the initial Investment can be decreased, then the product cost is massive. You haven't analyzed the market that you are targeting yet and fixed the price according to the target market. The earnings would not even cover the marginal cost in the initial years and the business will collapse very soon," Alexander gave a detailed analysis of what he thought of the project that she had come up with.
Felicity stared at him as he explained and explained, there was something about him when he spoke seriously about a business that really made people feel freezing dominance radiating off of him. He looked like a leader, someone you can't help but listen to and follow. She had never seen it in anyone else.
Nobody could ever dominate her mind with his presence the way he was doing right now. He looked serious, cold, and formal. He was a natural-born leader and when he spoke, he spoke with confidence and sheer assertion.
"So basically it is bad," Felicity snapped out of it and sighed.
"No you just need to make the initial investment, and product pricing more reasonable. Basically, make the business more practical," Alexander laughed. He always felt that Felicity had the talent to do well in business. She was confident, assertive and dominant. She was a little impatient when making big business decisions but he was more than ready to help her sharpen her skills and come to her best potential.
He wanted her to be successful. He wanted her to catch admiration and attraction wherever she went. A very small part of him for some reason disliked the thought of her catching others' attention but he didn't know why. As her friend, he should want her to be popular and well-known for her amazing talents right?
"Hmm," Felicity's brain started pondering over what he just said and she started to wonder what she could do to make the project better.
"Don't lose the originality though, it is your unique proposition," Alexander closed the file and handed it over to Felicity. Then he reached out and rubbed the top of her head with a smile. His dragon like eyes turned into slits with pure joy and raw affection.
"Okayyyy, thank you! You're literally a lifesaver," Felicity took the file and capture it beside her. Then she turned towards him and watched him take off his reading glasses and put them calmly inside the drawer of this desk.
"It's alright."
"Were you busy?"
"No I wasn't," Alexander shook his head but Felicity could see a couple of files on the side of his table, one at the top had a pen in between its pages and a laptop on the side that seemed to be sleeping.
When she came to his penthouse uninvited, Mama Ci, who opened the door for her told her that he was in a meeting. She expected her to tell her to sit and wait but after she went to inform Alexander, she just told her to enter the study and Alexander was waiting for her.
After that, mama Ci left because she had a half day off to visit her daughter.
While he was going through her file, his phone kept ringing as well.
'He's lying,' Felicity knew he was lying. He was busy, he just kept his work aside for her.
Suddenly, Alexander received a call.
"The takeout is here," he said and walked out of his study and towards the front door. A man in a black suit handed him a few bags and left.
"What did you order?" Felicity asked curiously. She was also curious about when did he order it since they were together the whole time.
"Peking duck, Sweet and Sour pork, dumplings, chicken soup and shrimp confer," Alexander listed out slowly and took out the food containers from the bag.
"Hmmm mmmm," as he opened and place them on the dining table a sweet fragrance wafted off in the air. The fragrance was so vivid and delicious that it brought water to her mouth.
"Go wash your hands," Alexander shooed Felicity off.
"Okay," she said in a sing-song voice and left to wash her hands.
"Where did you order this from? When she came back her eyes saw the logo that was on the containers. It was a green leaf logo which indicated that the food was from the Han family restaurant. Hans in ancient times used to be the family of Imperial chefs and used to cook for the Royals only. Their recipes were handed down throughout the generations and their restaurant was famous for only serving the elites. In fact, it was famously known because one had to make a reservation 3 months in advance just to have dinner at that restaurant.
"Han Family Restaurant," Alexander confirmed her guess.
"Ohh? They don't do home delivery though," Felicity said with confusion. From what she knew they did not do home delivery.
"I have their VIP platinum card," Alexander answered. This was the first time Felicity was hearing about the VIP card that the Han family restaurant offers. The Lins were very rich and among the top 5 richest families in the S city but even they did not own any platinum card membership as much as she knew.
Alexander took out a card from his pocket and waved it towards her.
"What?" Felicity looked at him with confusion.
"Here! take it," Alexander offered. He knew that the Han family restaurant actually did not offer a VIP platinum card but the Lu's had it for a very long time and it was because the Lu's were not only the richest in the country but were also extended descendants of the extinct royal family.
The fact was actually known by everyone but since the Lu's never confirmed it, it was just deemed as speculation.
"How can take yours?" Felicity crossed her hands behind her back and shook her head. However, Alexander kept pestering her and managed to somehow hand it over to her.
"I have two, this is extra," he explained casually but in reality, it wasn't actually that.
His mom had asked to get one for her so he brought this one for her but guess now, he will have to ask for another one from Master Han. Not that master Han would refuse to give him another card.
"Are you sure?" Felicity looked at him with doubt and hesitated.
"Yes, take it," Alexander affirmed and gestured for her to sit on the chair and start eating.
"Thank you," after she took a bite she stopped and thanked him with a soft smile.
Alexander smiled back warmly at her.
As they were enjoying their dinner together, Felicity received a call. On the top, the name said.
"Family doctor? Alexander arched his eyebrows with confusion and asked curiously.
"Ohh it's doctor Cheng, You know how I got sick back then?" Felicity lied because she did not want to yet expose her relationship with Ryan to anyone else.
"Hmm, Ryan is good at his job," Alexander nodded.
"He's a good doctor, very dedicated to his work," Felicity continued and said casually.
"Extremely, he's very committed to his work."
"He must not get a lot of time for dating and family?" Alexander did not find it weird that Felicity was suddenly talking about Ryan Cheng in front of him.
"He doesn't seem particularly interested in dating someone, since childhood I've seen, he was never really close to any girl. Except for one, Xia Lulu, his junior from college but I'm not too sure about that either," Alexander spoke and it made Felicity pause and look up at him. However, Alexander did not notice her sudden pause and kept going.
"What? During college?" Felicity enquired. This was something that Ryan had not told her yet, she wondered if it was because he was not as comfortable. It wouldn't be a surprise because Ryan was only opening up to her slowly and they were in the early stage. Ryan, being Ryan was patient and took things slow.
"Then she later went to study abroad but then, again nobody knows," Alexander kept going on, but then he suddenly paused and looked at her suspiciously.
"Why are you so curious?" He asked. His brain wandered around every possible case why she would be curious about Ryan but he did not think that maybe they would be romantically involved with each other. There are reasons why he did not think so, one of them being that Ryan was not exactly Felicity's type and second, Ryan was not the type to start dating someone he had met not long ago.
"Nothing much, he was handsome so I'm just curious," Felicity said dubiously. Then again on second thought, Alexander was one of her closest friends. If he'll ask her straight up, she'll tell him truthfully that she and Ryan are dating.
Alexander gulped and stared at her,
"That wouldn't be a good idea," He muttered to himself.
"Hmm?" Felicity looked at him confused.
"Can you pass me more soup?" Alexander did not say anything or ask anything else, he just changed the topic of the conversation.
"Here,"
"You eat more, you should eat more," he gave some more duck to her caringly Royal felicity waved her hands to stop him.
"Don't don't!"
Felicity and Alexander seemed to be getting closer. How do you like this development?
