Walking through the door wasn't the hardest part. Being seen by everyone and sticking out like a sore thumb was gonna be the hardest part.
Tami had this big and bright idea to make my dress and Mary's dress red, to make us stick out
I feel like one of those girls in the books who's, "not like other girls"
But I can't lie the design of the dress is beautiful
We walked down the stairs and as soon as we were visible to the public eye, All eyes were on us
My hair was curled and I had on my favorite ring. It was my mother's. My makeup was light so I didn't look scary and my heels were the same color as my dress.
I just stared at everyone who seemed to be looking at me. It's a good thing this is a masquerade ball because I don't like people looking at my face
"Everyones looking at us Tami,"Mary complained
"Yeah we told you this was a bad idea" I whispered to her as we saw everyone else dressed in black and white
"You both need a drink. Punch bowl, ahead."Tami pulled us from the stairs and toward the punch bowl which gained us more stares
When we approached the punch bowl we saw three guys. one with a hat, one with cupid wings, and one with microphone cufflinks
You may think it weird I was looking at his cufflinks but honestly, I was looking at his hands
Anyways...
"Hey," I said as I got my drink and turned to the mystery man, already having an idea of who he was despite the mask
"You know how to make an entrance."He told me nodding to the stairs.
"Oh, this, my friend designed it she kinda wanted us to stick out,"I told him looking down at my dress
"Well, she definitely got that part accomplished"we both chuckled at his statement.
It was a while later and by now mary and one of the guys began talking and Tami walked away to dance with the other guy.
my mystery man and I talked for what felt like hours.He was so easy to talk to,and for some reason, i told him i could sing.It was as if his eyes lit up the moment i said it.he even made a joke aout how we should sing together on stage.

I was laughing at one of his jokes about brit and Bree when mary came over bringing the guy with her
The DJ picked up his mic
"ok everybody, since JP And MG are in the building we're going to have a little karaoke contest."The entire crowd burst into cheers
I felt someone looking at me and I turned to see a mystery man with his gaze on me as if he was expecting me to jump at the opportunity
"uh, uh, "I said shaking my head
"But....."He tried to bargain
"no" I replied almost crocking
"Please" he begged in a joking matter, a tiny smile clad on his face.
"no,"i told him still trying to hold my ground
"Did i mention how breathtaking you look tonight?"He told them brightening his smile
"you don't even know if I'm good at singing." I tried again
"I trust you" He said pulling me along with him toward the stage
"play this" He told the DJ handing him a tape
He pulled me up on stage grabbing us both two mics and turning them on before letting go of my hand
Sound blasted from the speakers and i instantly knew the song

"I have to go,"I told him and I let go of his hand abruptly
"wait, but i didn't get your name"He shouted as I quickly ran to Mary who was standing in front of joey.
Wait so if that was joey then my mystery man must have been-
Mary grabbed mine and tamis arms as we heard the screams of mason and Joey who were determined to find out who we are

the car began to jitter before stopping in the middle of the road
"I'm so sorry."Tami apologized
"No, no, no, this can't be happening," Mary said as we both jumped from the car
"Dominique is gonna kill us" I yelled as we ran toward the house
As we continued to run I noticed something about my hand
My ring was missing

This was kinda rushed and I know it's giving y/n but I tried adding in my own unique thing for her to do other than dance so yeah.
also, yk how she walked away from mason.I did that to a guy at hoco cause the convo was dry and I'm not good at speaking.
Anyways I mainly rushed most of these chapters because the movie wasn't gonna be free for me to reference anymore. And I cant just write all of it in one sitting.
