"(Y- Hera! Run!" I hear Horror yell out as he uses his axe to deflect the spikes heading his way. "Get out of here, we will find you!" He called out, looking my way for a moment before his focus was back on X-Gaster.
"Listen to him!" I look over seeing Nightmare who used his tentacles to force X-Gaster away from me. "We can handle this!" He added as his brother fired a light blue arrow, hitting one of X-Gaster's large floating hands.
"YoU dOnE pLeNtY." Error added, looking at me with a proud smile before his gaze focused on the taller skeleton, snapping his fingers causing multiple gaster blasters to form. My gaze then fell on Ink who made eye contact with me, an unreadable look shone in his gaze as it seemed to search in my gaze for something.
I gave him a determined glare in response, as if giving him the answer he was searching for. He seemed to relax before jumping into the fight himself, all of the skeletons locked in battle however I could tell they were beginning to grow tired. Sweat was beginning to drip from their skulls, to be honest I was exhausted myself.
I felt blood dripping down my cheek, reaching my hand up, touching the thick, warm, liquid before bringing it to my eyes. A sharp pain shot through my eye for a second, but it was enough to understand I was beginning to reach my limit. Glitch's warning echoed across my head, but I knew I could use more of my power if needed, knowing my true limits. I then took a deep breath in and out, as the decision danced around my mind. I grabbed hold of the spike pinning my shoulder to the wall before yanking it out before tossing it to the side.
I let out a small his as I brought my hand to my shoulder, applying pressure on the wound. I winced as flashes of memory crossed my mind, like a bright light shining in a dark room after your eyes adjusted. Everything I knew, the abuse I endured for my ... no Aliza was all just ... a lie, a fake memory.
I begin to wonder if I looked like my mother, if she was happy to have me despite her dying in the end because of me. I wonder if she wore a smile on her face when she held me, if there were tears of joy, if a light was shining in her eyes.
So many things to think about with so little time. So many lost memories to gain, to learn, to experience once more. All I really know is that Glitch and I were raised together, we were practically siblings even.
My eyes narrowed as I glared at X-Gaster, "And he took those memories from us." I growled, tears dripping down my cheeks as now Glitch and I would never get a proper reunion, knowing now how much we meant to each other. I lost a brother just as I found out I had one. He is a monster.
I felt strong energy began to radiate off me as I pushed myself into a kneeling position, keeping one hand on my wound as a shadow covered my eyes, a teal mist began to radiate off my skin, almost looking like smoak as I looked up, my amber eye giving off a glow similar to the teal one. I felt almost like a hand on each shoulder, feeling as if two people were standing behind me, supporting my final decision.
"I will fight. To avenge my past." I created a sword, using it to push me off the ground. "To avenge my brother." I staggered a bit as I tightened the grip on my sword, before I had my other hand pull away from the wound. "To avenge my mother." I glared up seeing Blue was now stuck in the grasp of one of the hands, hearing his bones begin to crack as Stretch and Dream struggled to reach him.
I felt energy surge through my legs as I launched forward, reaching to the hand in a matter of seconds as I dragged my blade across the boney hand freeing Blue before he could be crushed. I landed, doing a front roll to soften my fall as I kept my balance, standing up straight as X-Gaster and I glared at one another. "Stupid child." He sneered as his pinpricks glowed.
"Kid, we told you to run." I hear Dust say behind me, I look over seeing worry gleam in their pinpricks despite their exhaustion. However, their worried looks immediately disappeared as they noticed my change in demeanor, some even seemed to almost recognize it.
Stretch let out a sigh as he placed a hand on my shoulder, "I know that look." He gave me a crooked smile, "Don't push yourself too much." He added, to which I nodded as I stood by their sides, ready to fight alongside them.
"I couldn't exactly leave you guys." I say with a small smile, looking over at the gang, before adjusting my grip on my sword. I charged forwards along with the rest of them, attacking and blocking, defending them whenever they needed it. After all that is my strength, protecting those that I care for ... except Ink.
I slid across the ground, as I watched from the distance as the group worked with one another, slowly we were gaining the upper hand. I couldn't help but smirk as fear began to set in X-Gaster's eyes as he slowly seemed to become overwhelmed. I couldn't help but enjoy the look in his gaze, I then winced as a sharp pain shot in my body causing my sword to disappear. I sat down feeling satisfied, knowing the fighting will come to an end soon.
I closed my eyes, letting out a sigh in relief as I felt my shoulders relax, reminding myself to write my own story so that way it will help me remember. My eyes snapped open after hearing a scream, looking over to see Horror screaming out in agony as one of the spikes was now penetrating his legs. A laugh bounced off the stone walls of the room as X-Gaster spawned multiple gaster blasters, blasting both Dream and Nightmare away.
Dust charged forward, firing his own gaster blasters, destroying the other ones before he sent a flurry of bone attacks with Error doing the same, backing him into a corner before a large purple burst followed by spikes was shot out. Stabbing Error in the arm, and sending Dust flying, slamming head first into the stone wall.
I glared at X-Gaster who wore a grin however sweat was beating down his skull. I jumped up onto my feet creating a sword back in my hand, I relaxed too soon. I darted forward as rage pulsed in my body, doubling, as I knocked a spike out of midair, preventing it from hitting Horror who was already down, clutching his leg in pain.
"I thought about having them do it their way. To capture you again." I growled as the sword in my hand disappeared before a large knife replaced it. "But I think I will just kill you myself." I spoke in a deadly tone as I began to walk towards him calmly, not breaking eye contact as anger radiated off my aura as it began to seep through my skin.
"Extraordinary." X-Gaster spoke with a large grin as multiple gaster blasters spawn, I continued walking forward as they fired down on me, a teal dome surrounding me as I continued to walk before floating knives formed behind me as I let down me dome sending them flying into the skulls, destroying them. The knives were then replaced with arrows as they whizzed through the air before striking him. Only three found their mark while the others were blocked. "I underestimated your abilities." He spoke out of breath as he ripped out the arrows before breaking them with his hands. "I believed without that child's soul you won't be able to fight back. Only be a worthless shield. How wrong I was ... you are much more dangerous than he was." He spoke as fear flashed across his eyes.
Excitement bubbled inside me, mixing with my rage, "Don't you know? Show no fear." A smirk decorated my lips, "Showing fear proves the opponent is winning." His eyes widened as the quote he told us constantly fell from my lips, the memory being clear as the day when he put us through those tests.
I raised the knife before going to stab him only for him to teleport a few paces back using a hand to slap me away, causing me to fall on my side, skidding my body across the ground, stopping right in front of Horror. I pushed myself off the ground, coughing up blood as another shot of pain racked my body.
"Hera, you're reaching your limit." Horror spoke, the sound of my name, my true name my mother gave me, rolling off his tongue sounded nice, almost soothing to my ears. "We can handle the rest. Just ... take a nap." He spoke, sounding in pain himself as his leg still bled.
I looked around, seeing how hurt and tired everyone looked while X-Gaster stood there smiling at us, triumph gleaming in his gaze. He would certainly kill them ... he will just like he did with Glitch.
My eyes widened slightly as hundreds of gaster blasters spawned, the whirring sound from their mouths sounding almost something like a fighter jet, feeling my body tremble under the noise. I stood up creating a wall, large and wide enough to protect everyone as they fired. The pain was commenced, it took all of my strength not to scream in agony as it felt as if my body was being ripped apart, blood streaming down my cheek from my glowing teal eyes, blood even began to drip out of my ears, nose, and even the corners of my mouth as I kept up the wall.
"Hera!" I look over seeing Horror's whose eyes were wide with terror. I looked around seeing the same expression on the gang's face as well as Blue and Stretch. Sadness gleamed in Dream's gaze as he looked over at his brother who could only watch. My eyes then fell back on Horror as a smile made its way to my lips, as my gaze softened.
"What am I supposed to do? Let you die?" I ask him before turn back towards the wall, hearing the blasters stop. I let down the wall, as I made eye contact with X-Gaster once more. "This is for all the people you hurt." I said as Horror's eyes widened further while Error began to make his way towards me.
"StOp hEr!" He screamed out in desperation as Ink merely watched from the sidelines, with his paintbrush on his back.
A smile remained on my lips as I released a large powerful wave straight towards X-Gaster, slicing his body in half along with his hands and gaster blasters, watching it all crumble to dust. My eye then faded back to its amber color as I stumbled back, coughing up more blood.
I then collapsed to my knees, Horror forcing himself to his feet as he ran over to catch me before I could hit the ground. "Sh*t." He mumbled as his red eyelight began to shake as red tears began to drip down his cheeks.
"Horror?" I spoke weakly as I began to feel cold, like my body couldn't hold in the heat anymore. However I wasn't freezing, instead I was calm and comfortable.
"I'm here." He spoke as he forced a smile on his teeth, pushing a stray strand behind my ear. Dust walked up as well, blood dripping down his skull as he looked at the scene in horror. Error frozen in his spot as Killer seemed frozen as well. Nightmare had a shadow over his eyes as his shoulders began to tremble.
I placed a hand on Horror's cheek, "I am so glad you're safe ... that all of you are safe." Horror looked heartbroken, despair gleaming in his gaze however a smile remained on his face. "I'm ... so ... happy." I mumbled out as I didn't have the strength to hold up my arm anymore, darkness becoming more welcoming as a woman's and boy's voice called out to me.
I opened my eyes to see a beautiful meadow, "Hera!" I turned around seeing Glitch waving in my direction, he looked older, his real age if he was really alive at the time we met again.
"Glitch!?" I spoke cheerfully as I sprinted up to him, wrapping my arms around him. We hugged one another tightly as I couldn't help but have tears of joy dripping from my cheeks. I looked at him confused as he pulled away, before stepping aside to where a woman with short brown hair in a bobbed cut, olive colored skin, and golden eyes walked up wearing a beautiful yellow sundress. "Mom?" I questioned, unsure if this was really the woman who birthed me. She smiled brightly, tears flowing freely down her cheeks as she opened her arms as I ran into them with tears streaming down my cheeks.
"I am so proud of you." I hear her whisper, her voice warm and held kindness.
I felt at peace.

Horror watched Hera's hand fall limp as the light faded from her eyes. "No ... no, no, no, no, NO!" Horror screamed out as he held her body close, tears flowing freely down his cheeks as his grip tightened on her.
Dust fell to his knees, tears flowing down his cheeks as he stared at the limp body being held by his friend. He gripped his jacket where his soul was as it began to beat in pain. "She can't be dead." He mumbled to himself. "She just can't be." He mourned.
Error's hands clenched into a fist as he looked away, not being able to bear the thought of her passing. "IdIoT." He mumbled to himself as his shoulders shook, silent sobs leaving him.
Blue stood there frozen as tears flowed freely as Stretch hugged his brother in a comforting manor while struggling to hold his own tears in. Stretch glazed over at Ink who had a blank expression on his face with his arms crossed. "This is what you wanted isn't it." He whispered to himself as his eyes narrowed in the direction of Ink.
Killer dropped his knife and hugged himself in hope of comfort, the target on his chest began to move and twist as despair began to take over his bloodlust.
Nightmare stood there as Dream placed a comforting hand on his shoulder before Nightmare tore his shoulder out of his grasp, "Don't touch me!" He snapped as he turned his head to glare at his brother, showing tears dripping from his eye sockets.
"They mourned her death as the Star Sans left." Core spoke as the other smaller monsters gathered around her. "They constantly remember her, in their own way. Nightmare makes sure the library never gets dusty. Killer has been taking care of Jack. Error has been going to Outertale much more than usual. And Horror ... Horror has been looking for her soul."
"What happened to it?"
"Didn't it burst into pieces?" Some of the monster kids question, looking at each other confused before looking up at Core.
"Her soul never lifted out of her body." Core explained with a small smile. "They all hope to find it one day in hopes of speaking to a part of her. However ... her soul never appeared nor did it disappear." They spoke as their gaze fell on Horror who was waiting for them with Fresh by his side.
In the doodlesphere Ink stood looking over the sheets of paper, looking over all of the stories that continue to play out. With no threat to be seen. "I have you to thank for finally ending this chaos." He spoke with a smile as he placed his hands on his hips. "I'm sure you are happy with this outcome." He turned his head towards you. "You all have chosen to fight after all, and finally put an end to X-Gaster. Now the multiverse is finally back to normal without any threat." He continued, giving you a bright smile along with a thumbs up.
"I know you probably still hate me. But all this is for the best. I'm just happy you didn't choose to flee." A frown decorated his features as he looked back out into the doodlesphere. "Then this might not be how it is now. It wasn't all in vain." He then let out a sigh as a smile grew back onto his mouth, "The X-Event has now finally passed us."
He then gave you a salute, "Thanks again. Now all your favorite characters are safe and away from danger as well as pain. Well that isn't part of their universe anyway." He then turned around revealing a glowing teal vile clipped to the back of his pants. He created a portal before jumping through it leaving you behind in the doodlesphere to create your own stories and universes. Just like how things should be.
