The Ahaan veer Malhotra be it 1921 model or updated 2021 version of ishqi's avm ,is always a family man
he literally cherished his family . Although absence of his parents love and care in the most crucial parts of his life did affect him
It never stopped him from loving and protecting his siblings. They slowly became the solace to his scarred soul Although sonu was the proclaimed ladli of malhotra mansion
He found himself more attached to his irritating yet adorable little brother
From the time they were little boys kartik always doted on him. There was a sense of admiration shining in his eyes when he looked upto ahaan . He valued ahaan in a way nobody did, he always understood him even before he could verbalize his thoughts. Kartik's presence added color to his monotonous life
Being a talkative and vibrant boy kartik was, he would always run to his big brother and narrate even small happenings of the day with so much enthusiasm
Ahaan indeed was a good listener but when it came to freely expressing his thoughts ,it definitely wasn't his forte .he prefered to keep things to himself, contray to that kartik had a habit of freely expressing his thoughts and he didn't shy away from voicing his opinions,judgemental gazes or "log ky sochenge" thoughts never really bothered him,ahaan was afraid that this very nature might turn him reckless. There was a paternal protective instinct in ahaan when it came to kartik, he genuinely wanted the best for his little brother,his brother had a laid back attitude towards life but when channelled in right direction he was capable enough to reach anywhere he desired to be , so as they grew up,he became the strict older brother instead of being a buddy to kartik, he wanted to see kartik soaring in heights of success but never at the cost of his happiness . The accident reaffirmed how precious kartik was for him. The mere thought of something happening to him still made his insides churn. He no longer wished to force kartik into any particular path ,he will instead wholeheartedly support his brother and if needed guide him
Ahaan's chain of thoughts came to halt when he heard ishqi and kartik talking
He had just reached kartik's room after collecting his medicines from pharmacy
Kartik - bhabhi ek baat manoge mere
Ishqi - ha kartik bolo na
Kartik - aap mummy ko mere accident ke bare mein inform mat karo na
Ishqi - kyun, mein toh bilkul karungi, hum bas tere hosh aane tak intezaar kar rhe the. Unka ka haq he yeh janna
Kartik - bhabhi wo log parso aajayenge phir bata dena
Ishqi - Tu chup chap rest kar,apna dimag mat chala
Kartik - bahut daant padegi mujhe
Ishqi- yeh harkat keliye thodi daant toh kya ek thapad bhi padni chahiye
Kartik bowed his head in guilt , he was teary eyed now
Ishqi - kya huva kartik, zyada dard ho raha he kya
Kartik - woh baat nhi he bhabhi
Ishqi sat besides kartik - phir kya baat he
Kartik - bahut pareshaan kiya na mein aap dono ko
Ishqi - haa ha bahut zyada
Kartik - aap tired lag raha he, aap time se insulin shots bhi nhi le pa rahe ho . Aap dono ka office pe kitna pending work pada hoga , sabh meri wajah se messed up hogaya, abh mummy papa aur dadi ko bhi batake unhe bhi pareshan karna nhi chahta hu.
Ishqi - acha toh mujhe bas naam ke buddy aur bhabhi samjhti ho, bada best friend bol rhe the abh sach samne aa hi gaya toh mein kya bolu
Kartik - aise nhi he bhabhi
Ishqi- toh kaise he, aise bewakoof wali baate apne dimaag se nikal dena warna tujhe toh pata he yeh risky ishqi tera kya haal karungi, agar mujhe ya avm ko kuch hogaya toh tu kya haath pe haath laga ke beita rahega, sabse zyada khayal tum hi rakhoge humara .bada aya ,khud hospital pe pade ho aur humari tension le rahe ho aur rahi baat chachi ki toh hum sabh usse sambhal lenge, tujhe bas ek kaam karna he achese rest kar aur jaldi teekh hoja
Ahaan - bilkul sahi kaha tumne ishqi
Yeh duffer kuch zyada hi soch rehe he
Kartik - bhaii aap bhi
Ahaan - mein bhi kya ha, ek chaata abhi dedu akal tikane lag jayegi
Mein chachi ko abhi call kar rhi hu, tujhse baat karegi toh unhe bhi tasali ho jayegi
Kartik knew there was no use of protesting anymore so he gave in
Ahaan was called chachi
Chachi - hello ahaan ,beta tum kaise ho , mein ek do baar landline pe call kiya tha lagta he tum sabh bahar the, toh socha busy honge, phir yaham shadi ke kam pe lag gayyi toh waqt ka pata hi nhi chala sabh teekh he na gharpe . Ek do bar toh mein ishqi ko bhi phone kiya tha
Ahaan - chachi woh uska phone dead ho gyi thi, aaj ghar jayenge toh charge karenge
Chachi - arey toh tum dono abh kaham ho, aur kartik ka phone bhi off he, uss ladke ko kissi cheez ka dhyaan hi nhi he
Ahaan - chachi, aap mere baat dhyaan se suno, aur aap bilkul tension mat lena
Chachi - arey tu mujhe dara rahe , baat kya he
Ahaan - chachi kartik hospital mein he, usse chota sa accident huva tha, par abh woh teekh he, hum he uske saath
Chachi - Matarani matarani, yeh sabh kaise huva, aur tu pehle kyu nhi bataya mujhe
Ahaan narrates the situation to her
Chachi was worried as hell
Chachi - ahaan , kartik ko phone de , woh so raha he kya
Ahaan - nhi chachi, aap usse baat karlo
Chachi- kartik Tu teekh he kya?
Kartik - ha mummy mein teekh hu
Chachi - Tu teekh hoti toh hospital mein nhi hoti, ahaan ne mujhe sabh kuch bataya ,kaha chot lagi he tujhe
Kartik - sarpe aur pav mein
Chachi ( emotional)-ghadi chalate waqt dhyaan kaha he tera,matarani ka shukar he ki tu sahi salamat he, mein kal hi aarahi hu
Kartik - mummy ro kyu rahe ho, mein keh raha hu na, mein abh better feel kar rhi hu, aur bhai bhabhi he mere saath
Chachi - Tu apna khayal rakh , mein jaldi aajavungi, Tu ishqi ko phone de
K - teekh he
Chachi then asked all the details from ishqi , she consoled chachi and ensured her that they will take care of kartik.
Chachi had just finished talking to ishqi when dadi came and sat beside her
Dadi - kiska phone tha ritu, Tu pareshaan lag rhi he
Chachi - mummyji ahaan ka call tha
Dadi - toh ki hoya, Tu ro kyu rahi he,
Baat kya he
Chachi - woh, kartik hospital mein he uska accident ho gaya
Dadi - hayy rabba, acccidenntt.. , woh abh kaisa he
Chachi - abhi bhi hospital mein he,ahaan aur ishqi he uske saath, kartik ne mujhse baat ki keh raha tha woh teekh he, par mera mann ghabra raha he mummyji
, mujhe kal subah hi usse milne jana he
Dadi - bilkul putar, Tu jaa aur kapil se baat karke kal ki safar ka intezaam kar, aur gal sunn tu pareshaan mat hoja kartik ko kuch nhi hoga
Chachi - ji mummyji
Although dadi consoled chachi she was worried too
Meanwhile in hospital
Ahaan informed that he will stay back at night with kartik and raj would be coming to take ishqi to their home.
Ishqi protested stating that she is fine there with ahaan
Ahaan - nhi ishqi tum ghar chal rhi ho,tumhe thodi aaram mil jayega sonu aur raj bhi aaj wahi rukenge,phir subah sabh saath mein aajana
Kartik - haa bhabhi, plz mere liye chali javona
Ishqi - par avm, kahi meri zaroorat pad gyi toh
Ahaan - do log yaham teekh se so nhi pavoge, tum ghar chalogi toh mein bhi ache se so jaungi
Ahaan winked at her
Kartik - haa bhabhi, aur wese bhi hospital ka boring ghana khake mein pak chuka hu, kal abh ghar se kuch tasty lavo na
Ishqi made a shocked expression and gave a complaining look, but finally gave in to their demand
Kartik was muffling a yawn, he was feeling tired now
Ishqi - kartik so ja, raj ka msg aya he wo mujhe pickup karne keliye aaraha he . Mein jaa rahi hu.
Kartik gave a smile and closed his eyes
Ahaan followed ishqi to the parking lot
She gave a quick peck to him
Ishqi- kartik aur apna khayal rakhna, mein subah hi aajaungi
Ahaan ( saluting) - yes boss
Ahaan came back to kartik's room and saw him sleeping soundly.
He gently ruffled his hair and properly covered him with blanket , he also laid down on the spare bed.
It was midnight, kartik got up, he was feeling really thirsty , and he was also feeling a bit feverish , he tried to call ahaan once but saw ahaan sleeping peacefully, he didn't have the heart to wake him up and moreover the side table was few steps away . He could manage to take the jug.
He hopped towards the side table using his uninjured feet but winced in pain as the stiches of chest injury became tight. He somehow reach the side table, he thought his attempt was successful but alas when he tried to grab the jug he lost his balance and knocked off the steel glass to the ground and that was enough to wake up ahaan
Ahaan woke up with a jerk,when he opened his eyes he saw kartik struggling to find balance and was about to fall forward
Ahaan quickly ran towards kartik and caught him in the nick of time
The sudden movement caused pressure on his injury and he cried in pain
Ahaan steadied kartik and took him to bed
Ahaan - kartik , tu teekh he kya , mein doc ko bulavu?
Kartik was still hissing holding his chest - nahi bhai, uske zaroorat nhi he.
Ahaan gave a worried look, and after a while the pain subsided
Ahaan - kartik tu waham kya kar raha tha
Kartik - bhaii.. Woh mein.. mein pani lene...
Ahaan (angry) - tera dimag sachmein kharab hogaya he kartik,pani chahiye toh tu mujhe udda sakte the ,
Kartik - bhai..woh aap so rahe the mujhe laga mein.. Khud le.. Sakta hu.. Apko pareshaan..
Ahaan saw red
Ahaan - aur abh jo pareshaan ho raha hu uska kya... ..nhi mujhe khush hona chahiye hena tere yeh harkat se....for God sake kartik...tujhe seedhi baat samajh kyu nhi aata , tu abhi ghir jaata, chot bhad jati, par nhi janab ko sabh akele karne ka shauk he
i am sorry... Bhaii.. Mein aise dubara nhi karunga kartik replied in a tired voice
He was rubbing his head as it was paining a bit
Ahaan saw this and his anger turned into concern-Sar dard ho raha he kya
Kartik - haa thoda sa
He went near him and touched his forehead and found it to be warm
Ahaan - tujhe toh bukaar he, tu let jaa mein dawaii leke aata hu
He gave him medicines and placed wet strips over his forehead.
Kartik was looking at him. He felt lucky to have his big brother
Ahaan- mujhe ghoorna band karo aur sojao
Kartik in a sleepy voice -Bhai mein teekh hu aap bhi so javo , aur kisi cheez ki zarurat he toh mein paka aapko bulavungi
Ahaan made sure kartik was fine , after sometime sleep conquered him too.
Ishqi was thankful for a goodnight sleep the stay at hospital was a bit draining, now she felt a lot better, she quickly had a hot shower and went to kitchen , she prepared gobi ke parathe for her avm and some healthy khichdi for kartik
Ahaan was being vigilant around kartik and made sure he didn't exert himself
After sometime ishqi had arrived
Ahaan - ishqi thodi der aaram karke aa jati
Ishqi- mein aaram kar chuki hu, aur dekho mein aap dono ke liye naasta bhi layi hu
Kartik - wah bhabhi u are the best
Ishqi - avm aap bhi kha lijiye
Kartik - aap kya layi ho
Ishqi-filhal mein ye khichdi layi hu
Kartik face fell
Kartik - aur bhai keliye?
Ishqi grinning- gobi ke parathe
Kartik - bhabhi aap bhai ko khichdi dedo mein bahut understanding hu na mein gobi ke parathe se adjust karunga
Ahaan - sochna bhi mat , kal raat isse bhukhar tha ishqi,aur jo stunt tunne kal kiya he, tujhe toh mein khichdi bhi nhi dunga
Ahan told her what happened at night
Ishqi- kartik !! Tu bimar nhi hota toh mein maar maar ke tera bharta banati
Tujhe doosre tang bhi todne ha irada he kya
Kartik (pouting)- bas karo bhabhi, bhai waise bhi bahut suna chuke he, abh daant se pet bharna he ya khichdi bhi denge
Ishqi melted at this - tujhe pata he na tu abhi yehi kha sakta he, ekbar discharge hojaye toh mein teri pasand kha khana khud banake khilaungi
Kartik - ohk
It was evening now chachi and chachu was hell worried, they reached at hospital along with dadi
Chachi had hugged the life out of kartik
she had never seen her son so battered, and it pained her ,despite kartik trying to put up his best effort to convince that he was ok she was too emotional as any mother would be . chachu too expressed his concern and adviced kartik to be careful
Coming to DD # Durga devi Malhotra aka dhaayan dadi 🤪
She was always a clever and crafty woman, she had her own ways to make her work done . There was no doubt that he doted on her elder grandson aka ghar ka chiraag, she preferred ahaan over kartik as he was easy to manipulate, ahaan sort of worshipped dadi, whatever dadi said was Bible to him, but kartik was different he teased her, put forth his opinions and questioned her when he found something odd and he had a feminist outlook and did household chores , which was a crime according to dd, so he called him khote instead of kartik . But she always knew if someone in MM was clever enough to destroy her plans it was him. She loved him too and seeing him devoid of his usual spark unsettled things inside her
Dadi came and lightly hugged kartik
Which pleasantly surprised him
Dadi - kartik,ghadi chalate waqt dhyaan kaha tha tera
Kartik (smiling) - sorry dadi, par dont worry ,mein abh better feel kar raha hu aap na chill karo
Dadi - chill be bacche, dekh khudka ki haal banake rakha he . Mennu tujhe.. .aise..I mean sabko tujhe aise dekh ke acha nhi lag raha he
Kartik whishpered in ishqi's ear who was sitting besides him - kamal he yeh dadi ko aaj bada pyaar aa raha he mujhpar aaj mujhe kk bhi nhi kaha, kahi aaj mera
Last din toh nhi he
Ishqi hit him lightly - chupkar, dramebaaz,aur yeh kk kya hota he
Kartik - bhabhi kk matlab khota kahinka
Dadi -kya badbada raha he, Tu mera gal sunn tu bilkul achese aaram kar aur jaldi teekh hoja, tu bakwaas karte, sabko pareshaan karke acha lagta he, aise bistar pe lete nhi .
Kartik - aww dadi aap toh badi sweet nikle
Dadi just rolled her eyes but gave a small smile even she was relieved to see kartik safe
soon kartik was discharged from hospital , all the family members took good care of him , his injuries were healing quickly and he was showing good progress
After few weeks
Ishqaan ,soraj and kartik were chilling in their adda with their signature chilled beer and chips
Kartik - aaj toh mein bada khush hu, meri half girlfriend se chutkara jo mil gaya
Sonu - weirdo , Tu orthopedic cast ko apni gf bula rehe ho
Kartik - tujhe kya, meri marzi
Ahaan- tum dono phirse shuru mat ho jana
Ishqi - guys iss khushi ke mauke ko aur khaas banane mein mere pass kuch aur he
Soraj - kya he bhabhi
Ishqi - mere aur avm ke taraf se ek chota sa taufa kartik keliye
Kartik was surprised while the rest of them hooted
Ahaan took an envelope from side table and handed it over to kartik
He was clueless but opened it, and his eyes filled with joy
Kartik - bhaii, yeh...
Sonu - cheapad kya he ussmein
Kartik - IHM delhi ke admission form, bhaii .. Bhabhi yeh
Ahaan - jab apna passion follow hi karna he toh woh delhi ke best Institute se hi karlena chahiye
Ishqi - aur dekhna tum no 1 chef bajega kya bolta he avm aap woh high five english mein
Ahaan - Michelin star
Kartik chuckled hearing this, but his happiness was quickly replaced with worry
Kartik - par gharpe sabh man jayenge kya , dadi aur mummy papa
Ishqi - humne sabse baat kari he, chacha aur chachi ko koyi dikhat nhi he, avm ne dadi ko bhi manaliya
Kartik - par dadi ko yeh sabh bilkul pasand nhi the na
Ahaan - thoda mushkil tha unhe convince karna, but at the end of day, woh bhi tera khushi hi chahta he
Kartik was on top of the moon, he had the widest smile , he jumped in excitement and hugged ishqaan
Kartik - mere ishqaan best he, thank you so much bhaii bhabhi
Sonu - excuse me, hum bhi he yeham
kartik- koyi tujhe kaise bhul jaye meri chipkali
Sonu hugging him- congrats cheapde, dekhna tu bahut successful hoga
Kartik - This calls for a group hug
Soraj and ishqaan hugged kartik from both sides
Screen freezes at their content and happy faces
