My life has been filled with unpleasantries.

I was always entangled with misfortune from the first few years of my life till the last. I can't even guess what it must have been to live a normal life.

This...truly is the end, huh?

How strange...I feel so much yet I feel nothing.

As you slowly lost consciousness of your surroundings, a feeling of warmth and comfort was put in place. A feeling so pleasant, it was too good to let go. You began to feel a sense of peace and joy washing over you. All your worries, fears, and pain have started to drift away, being replaced with a symphony of colors and sensations, like a thousand stars bursting into existence. The bridge between life and death felt almost dream-like, surreal, and otherworldly, and a place of beauty and hideousness united with the past and future tangling in a moment of possibilities.

There was a whisper somewhere, a faint echo from the beyond, seemingly trying to reach you. A voice that is soft and soothing, a presence that brings empathy and tenderness like a mother. "Fifteen years ago, there was a calling from the beyond. I met an abandoned human child."

Whose voice is that...?

The sweet feminine sound continued, reverberating through your conscious, "Originally, I was going to let the child naturally pass away but...it seemed like the world had other plans."  You could hear faint chuckles as she resumed, "My y/n, your time isn't over."

You started recognizing Ei's calling as you felt her presence, however, it was quite different from the usual aura she carried. Her presence felt like a beautiful garden blooming with sweet fragrances. She reminded you of a warm embrace wrapping you in peace and tranquility."My mistakes are not yours to fight..."

Your lips began to tremble while you struggled to spew words out, "What mistakes?! What are you talking about!"

Ei continued without answering any of your questions. You couldn't understand what she was implying. "I have failed in many ways, perhaps that is why my unresolved mistakes are coming back."

Her voice began reaching out to your spirit and guiding you away from the realm of life and death. You were pushed in a different direction as you saw the light of the unknown gradually fade away. Ei appeared to be fading, and her voice was becoming weaker and lower. "Not only am I an unsuitable ruler of Inazuma but I am also unfit to have believed I could be that child's mother in the first place."

Her tone conveyed a sense of sadness, "Live. I want you to live."

You suddenly realized what she was going to do as you yelled out, "Momma! STOP! Don't!"

Don't leave me...I don't want to lose you too...

Please!

Just as Magetsu Mitake's giant sword was ready to puncture your body, you started to gain consciousness. You witnessed immense godly and inhumane electro-zaps heading straight for the sword, quickly clashing with it and creating a big bang. The last thing you remember seeing before you once again lost consciousness was a shadow of a female figure with long braided hair.

This day of chaos and madness will forever be graved in Inazuma's history, for this day was a day of revolution and a changing nation no longer bounded by the God of Eternity's supremacy. Kujou Takayuki and Hiiragi Shinsuke's fourteen-year plan had finally been accomplished, and Inazuma was becoming a godless nation. Their strategic and complicated plans required many deaths and betrayals.

In the end, many people lost something that they held dearly. Some lost their children, some lost their significant other, their jobs, and their homes. It was gone. The stars that shined brightly in the night sky were no longer luminous, and the rich moist soil of the land was filled with blood. The buildings that once were standing so strong...had fallen. This day was a day of mourn.

Somewhere far from the city, lies a shrine at the very peak of Mt. Yougou along with a sly captivating individual with fair skin and pink hair.

"Repeat after me...3...2...1..." The feminine voice commanded, "1...2...3...Ahh~"

You slowly started waking up, seeing Miko above you, holding a wet cloth. She barely smiled, "You're awake? About time! My hands are tired."

You sat up, softly groaning as you felt your heart quickly pound in your chest. Your voice became hoarse while trying to speak up, "Ayato! Where is he?!"

Yae placed the cloth back into the bucket, pointing west toward her, "He's alive...surprisingly."

You quickly ran up to him, watching his unconscious self laying on a mat. His body was covered in bandages and there were a few bruises on his face. You felt yourself tearing up as you couldn't bare to see him in such a state. You gently held his hand, trying to find some comfort from all the tragic events that had happened.

You exhaled slowly, collecting your thoughts and questions about what happened in Inazuma City. "Who is...Magestu Mitake?"

Yae looked down at the ground, "...It's a long story." She sounded hesitant, it was strange to see her act this way. She stalled for a moment before getting up, "Take a walk, it's good for the mind." She softly grinned, grabbing some medicinal herbs.

You had no choice but to obey her. She was right, perhaps taking a walk might calm your racing and chaotic mind. You left Ayato in her care as you walked down the stairs of the shrine. Your body and back were aching, most likely due to your fall from battling that...thing.

"Ughh I feel like an old lady." You groaned loudly while sitting down on a stairstep, "My prime days are over." You looked up, watching the swirling mass of thick gray clouds drape over the sky like a veil.

You started to frown, feeling a profound sadness cutting deep into your heart. It was a feeling of emptiness, regret, and guilt. It was the sense of knowing that the Kamisato family will never ever be the same. Self-blame was igniting in you as you blamed yourself for not heading to the estate earlier. You blamed yourself for being weak and watching your electro-vision get destroyed.

The frustration grew as you pulled out your second vision. You stared at it. "All I have left is this stupid Anemo vision that doesn't even work!" You suddenly slammed it on the ground, hoping it would break, unable to control your emotions. Your breathing was heavy as you stared at it with an intense gaze. There was not a single scratch visible.

"Useless! Useless! Useless!" You kept murmuring, holding your face and covering your eyes. "I'm so stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stu--"

"--I'm appalled. You're sitting in the dark badmouthing yourself?"

You felt your heart stop for a moment as you flinched, unaware of anyone's presence. You jerked your head, lips parted slightly and your eyes widened as you saw him.

In the realm of your heart's deepest desires, there he stood. The man who had always lingered in the secret compartments of your thoughts. Seeing him was like the sun breaking through the clouds on a stormy day, casting a radiant glow that lit up the world. You found yourself spellbound by the enchantment of his presence. He looked graceful even if he was covered in injuries and bandages. He looked so beautiful, even when his clothes were disheveled and dirty. It only added to his beauty.

As you gazed into his eyes, it was as though they were two souls suspended in a timeless embrace, bound by an unbreakable connection. Your lips trembled as you were unable to contain your emotions. Your voice was breaking as you whispered, "Ayato...you're...awake."

Ayato's cocky smile formed while he sat beside you, "Couldn't bare to see me peacefully asleep?"

You started to break down in front of him as you couldn't control your emotions, "Idiot!" You raised your voice at him, fighting back tears as you felt a storm raging inside of you.

Ayato was taken aback at your sudden yell. His warm eyes looked at you as you mumbled "Idiot" once more. Your eyes were glistening as Ayato stayed quiet, watching your tears roll down your cheeks. "I...I...was so scared...."

Your face was flooded with tears, becoming vulnerable while your voice grew shakier, "I was so scared to...lose you!" His hand reached out to hold yours, and the touch was reassuring, but it only added to your turmoil. "I thought you were going to die!"

Your heart felt heavy with the burden of sorrow and regret. It felt as if the air around you seemed to thicken, causing it to become harder to speak, "I couldn't lose you too...I couldn't bare to lose you and..." your words trailed off as you sobbed harder.

"Shhh...it's okay, I'm here, it's okay..." His thumb gently created small circles on your hand, trying to comfort you.

"It's not! It's not! She's dead! Ayaka is...dead!" You blurted out, your heart aching while your sobs grew louder. You couldn't stop crying while you watched Ayato's expression change to fear and concern. You could feel his heartache merging with yours, the pain mirrored in his eyes, which only intensified the guilt.

His face went pale as he heard your words, his grip on your hand tightened. Tears began forming in his eyes. He softly shook his head, not believing it. "What...?"

You lowered your head, your heart torn to pieces, knowing that the memories you once cherished now twisted the knife of heartbreak deeper. Laughter was shared and promises whispered- they all seemed like fleeting illusions.

Ayaka was gone forever.

The Kamisato family would never be the same again.

The night of mourning continued, each moment was a testament to the shared pain. Through your sobs and sniffles, you managed to tell him the devastating news of how Hisashi was a traitor and both the Tenryou and Kanjou Commissioners had betrayed the shogun and caused a revolution. As tears fell freely from Ayato and you, he let go of your hand, pulling you close to his chest. He caressed your hair, as he felt a storm of grief and guilt.

"I failed...to protect my own sister..." His voice, usually steady and unwavering, quivered as he tried to utter words, but emotions rendered him speechless. All the unspoken thoughts, all the suppressed pain, now found their voice in the gentle rhythm of his tears. The vulnerability he showed at this moment revealed a side of him that few had ever witnessed.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..." You kept apologizing while letting out a gut-wrenching wail. "If I went to the estate earlier, she would've...she would've been-"

Ayato tried to calm you down, whispering softly that it wasn't your fault. It was never your fault. He held you tightly in his arms, listening to your cries as his heart ached deeply. After a while of holding each other, you took a deep breath when you saw his saddened gaze.

He gently cupped your face, gently wiping away the tears that were streaming down your face. In that deep connection, your eyes were locked with his own. His tone was tender as he murmured, "You are the only one I have left..."

In the hushed embrace of a cloudy night, the world below lay shrouded in obscurity, lost in the enigmatic depths of darkness. The moon, veiled behind a tapestry of thick clouds, seemed to have abandoned its duty as the night's ethereal sentinel. Nature's nocturnal symphony played on, orchestrated by the rustling leaves and distant hooting of an owl, but the absence of the moon's silvery glow left the night incomplete, like a missing verse in an unfinished sonnet.

High above, among the drifting clouds, the moon yearned to make its presence known. It longed to pierce through the murky veil, to paint the world in its soft luminosity once more. As if heeding the moon's desire, the clouds began to stir, shifting and parting with a grace similar to a dancer's movement. Gradually, the moon emerged, casting a magical gleam upon the night's canvas. It appeared like a silver pearl, luminous and serene.

As the clouds continued their slow dance, their curtain pulled back to reveal the moon in all its glory. Now, it bathed the world below in a radiant luminescence, turning the muted landscape into a dreamlike panorama. Shadows lessened, and silhouettes came to life, enchanted by the moon's gentle touch.

As you gazed into each other's eyes, time seemed to slow down and the chaos of the world ceased to exist. In the depths of his eyes, you saw a reflection of yourself, his voice softened, "I'll happily give up my life to keep the only person I have in my life safe..."

He slowly leaned closer to you, his hot breath delicately touching your skin, "Seeing you cry this much makes me want to die. I really want to die...just to see how much you'd cry for me." With a gentle breeze as a witness, he leaned even closer, hearts beating in unison.

Slowly, Ayato closed the gap between you, hearts pounding like the distant sound of drums in the night. The anticipation was palpable as if the universe itself held its breath.

And then, with delicate tenderness...his lips met yours.

It was a moment suspended in time, a blissful collision of warmth and vulnerability. The world around you faded into insignificance as you became lost in each other's presence. It was a kiss filled with the weight of one another's sorrows, yet amidst the sadness, there was also a glimmer of love and hope.

The moon watched over Ayato and you, a silent witness to this deep connection. Its light seemed to bless the union, casting a magical aura around the two of you. You held each other close, feeling the gentle beat of each other's hearts. Under the moonlight, your first kiss became a treasured memory, a moment of vulnerability and affection.

As he pulled away, the realization of what had just happened washed over you and Ayato. A mixture of wonder and a newfound sense of intimacy enveloped them. A shared understanding that they were not alone in their struggles. Ayato's cheeks stayed flushed, reflecting the mix of emotions he felt. Though slightly embarrassed by his visible reaction, he couldn't help but cherish the way you made him feel.

"Y/n...I love you." He looked into your eyes, it was deep and sincere. "I love you, from the moment I laid my eyes on you." Ayato exhaled, "Through rain and thunder, I want to stand by your side."

"I love you, I always have and always will. I don't want to lose you too, Y/n."
