our mini, eternal infinity

my poetic touch is fading, flickering, burning out

my heart is doing such the same, beating slower every second until

silence.

it stops.

my breath lies still as i stare upward, wondering, crying, screaming, oh so calmly and silently

because i wonder, my love, how do we stand so far but stare up at the same sky?

how does the world turn day after day

how do the stars stand so still and silent and sleepy

while we suffer and thrash in our thoughts, unable to hold one another?

i wonder, how does every second tick by so slowly, so fast

and yet we're left with this untouchable, unrelenting sinking feeling;

the breath of infinity.

the eternal wind burns through out throats as we sing the song of incomparable delight

but with happiness comes the sea of sadness, and our endless cycle of eternal ethereality

is balanced.

you balance me and i balance you, we're prisoners to each others hearts and hands

and oh, how i welcome such a beautiful cloud of uncertain certainty.

i want to feel the rain of your words and thoughts and feelings pour into my chest

because if i can suffer to help you escape, i would do it a thousand times again.

i frolic in the forest of your feeling, and i savor every single second that slinks by

because i know we won't last forever, as all things do

but i'm perfectly happy with spending time with you in the here, in the now,

i relish in the knowledge that this is our mini, eternal infinity.
