Blades still freshly painted with red, I flick them allowing the blood to clean off. My eye was becoming more irritated and painful, only having one eye to look out for now. Only a few more titans, before my blades are useless. Should I just head into HQ? Or keep these titans off for now? With those decisions at hand, I decide to head inside to check on the others. Hoisting my body just dodging a titan's grip, I soon break through the glass shielding my face with both arms. Gathering the air in my lungs, my attention turns to seen a furious Jean with Marco holding him back with anger on their faces.

Turning to the soldier that Jean lashed out upon, my eyes turn back to the cadets.

"What's going on here?" I sternly question. "This isn't the time to be fighti--"

"Everyone, hit the deck!!!!" I hear someone yell out, before something smashes right through the wall. Shielding my eyes from the attack, a soldier was hit in the process before seeing bright light pouring through the large hole.

"Shit, there's too much clutter here," I mutter, before turning to them. "Everyone get inside!"

Whipping out my blades I went to charge towards the titans, gathering whatever I had in me. The fear freezing in some soldiers, faces widen with fearful expressions. All I am right now is hope, because I'm not giving up easily. I'm not leaving this place, til these soldiers get over those walls.

Just before I could even lay a sword upon the titans, a large fist comes in view sending a powerful hit to both titans. My eyes slowly widen before running towards the free open space, to see a titan roaring with more purpose than the normal titans. It's form was more human, body was more in control and short shaggy brown hair covering it's eyes. Soon the glasses shatters beside me, turning to see Mikasa, Connie and Armin just arriving.

"Are you three alright?" I question, anxiously.

"Hey corporal, this guy is seriously a certified genius!" Connie slaps the back Armin, with a smile on his face. "From now on, far as I'm concerned, your word is law! Check it out, we found an Abnormal that's got a bone to pick with it's own kind...."

He turns pointing to the odd one, that faces the titans that was the same species.

"....and the best part? He couldn't care less about us!" Connie exclaims, excitedly. "That's right, you heard me. This big beautiful S.O.B's our ticket out of here!"

"You mean like fighting fire with fire?" A cadet questions.

Jean's eyes were wide, "Listen to yourself, a titan's not gonna help us!" he turns to me. "Tell him he's crazy Corporal, seriously he's out of his own goddamn mind if he thinks this is gonna work--"

"It is working," Mikasa cuts him off, turning to see Mikasa being completely honest. "For whatever reason he's rampaging against them. Stand back and let him do it. Trust me. You'll see."

Knowing we're in this situation currently, leaving that titan to fighting the others would help buy us time. Mikasa was right and I'm agreeing to a cadet, knowing full well we're out of options. "She's right, what other choices do we even have?" I spoke up, earning everyone's attention. "That thing right now, is our only best chance in surviving this."

INSIDE THE HQ

Not long after all we knew right now was the supplies are down below, where the smaller titans have overrun. Our only best shot was to use the military rifles, which thanks to Jean, we found them for Armin's plan. The young cadets planned their way to grab the supplies, while I stood back to allow them to figure it out on their own. With what little time we had, they needed to hurry with the plan.

With my three years with these cadets, I still wanted them to learn when in situations like this. It was only a way for them to survive, allowing them to come up together as a team. Not long after watching and listening in, it was time to begin the plan. Noticing Armin walking up to me, I turn to him.

"Will you be able to take down at least a titan down?" he asks, while I shook my head.

"You all need to work together, especially if I'm not even there one day....." I began. "....you need to learn not to rely on me, but your comrades."

He understood completely why, but I hold my hand up slightly gesturing to not finishing my words.

"But......I will be on the sidelines, in case anything goes wrong," side-glancing his way, before tapping against the canisters and gear. "You all work together simultaneously."

His eyes widen before saluting me, thanking me with a slight bow.

With that we all fell into play as we head downstairs, before sneaking above the wood beams seeing titans wandering around inside. Sneaking my way in the darkness, my eye rest upon the seven cadets in place. Gripping my blades tightly, I prepare for anything. Waiting for the lift to lower down, silence was dreading the room. My heart was beating heavily, my palms were already getting sweaty and having one eye to use for now, was irritating the heck out of me.

Soon my eye falls upon the lift, as they grab the attention of the titans.

The slowly heavy stomping soon creeps towards the cadets, as they held all their rifles aimed at their eyes. Inhaling quietly, I exhale slowly while seeing Marco in lead. Holding their fire for a while, I could hear the torches crackling. The titans weren't even fazed by the torches. They soon held their aim, and soon they all began firing.

The flickers of igniting light, and the smell of gunpowder begins to fill the room.

Soon the seven cadets charge down before slicing the napes, one by one. Thinking everything was going according to plan, I see Sasha stuff up along with Connie. Fear flashes in Sasha's eyes, along with Connie while stepping away slowly. Clenching my jaw, I snap into action charging down, before twisting my body slicing both titans in a flash, before any more blood could be spilled.

Landing down on my own two feet, arms embrace me tightly.

"Thank you!" Sasha cries, her voice sounding like a child. Drawing my blades in, I tap her back gently. "You saved my life!"

"Now, now.........we're all safe for now," I assure her, before turning to the cadets. "Alright all titans have been eliminated, so begin loading up the supplies. Enough to get yourself back over the wall!"

"Yes ma'am!!!"

Soon all the cadets began to fill up their tanks, seeing hopeful faces again. Relief washes over me, while I allow them to fill up first. It would be selfish alone to fill up first, especially when these guys worked so hard to get here. Resting against the wall, my hand drifts up to my throbbing eye. Hissing sharply in pain, my hand retracts away not wanting worsen the wound. It was deep, and if I don't get it treated, it will be infected.

"Corporal!"

Breaking out of my daze, I notice Sasha waving her hand ushering me over.

"Come refuel!"

Smiling softly she taps the available gas tank, as I make my way on over. Finally being able to refuel, seeing everyone already have enough gas for their tanks. Soon after resupplying everything, I gather some fresh blades and restocked myself. While doing so my vision in my right eye went fuzzy for a moment, while feeling a little dizzy. Leaning against the wall for support, I clench my hand over my eye firmly.

Growling in my throat, "Get your damn act together, Akira"

Shaking my head I see most of the cadets leaving the building, with them laughing and excited to finally fly back up the walls. With our clear advantages now, just having full access to everything it, it was time to disperse back up to the wall.

Walking out to see the outside world brighten, I shield my eyes before the sun shines down kissing my skin. Inhaling deeply I turn to the remaining cadets, only to see flabbergasted looks across their faces. Landing on the building, there was Eren knocked out with Armin in tears seeing light steam coming from his arm and leg.

"I thought.......I thought he was dead,"

"S-So did I," Armin sobs.

"But..........how?"

Jean clicks his teeth with irritation, "He was the abnormal titan all along, and we didn't even know,"

Walking over to the edge of HQ my eyes rest upon the carnage that he presumably made, as steam covers the air with the giant bodies. Dammit, what do we do now? I'm one of the superiors, should I report back to base about this? No, I can't......but then, what do i do? How did he become this? I knew him since he was only before born.

WITHIN WALL ROSE

"Hurry, someone come treat the Corporal quickly!"

"She looks pale!!"

My body slumps onto a wooden crate, while leaning forward grasping my eye. It was getting painful again, as the numbness died down. Everything happened so fast just before, it seems Eren was discovered by the Garrison along with Kitz near the far corner near the river side. They even put a gag order on the young ones, while letting me slip past for my title.

The Garrison is such talk, but then again I know they're doing it out of fear.

"Corporal, please take off the cloth?" a nursing soldier asks tenderly, while I remain quiet. "Please, if we don't treat it with the best we can......it will get infected."

Reluctantly after hesitating for a while, my hands drift up untying the cloth before allowing it to fall upon my lap. She slightly gasps, but I gave up on worrying about my looks. Her hand slightly shakes while trying to touch my wound, without hurting me. Shaking her head she quickly grabs a bucket of warm water and a piece of clean cloth, and began to clean around my wound first. My eyes was still closed, afraid I would be blind. Afraid that this eye will be nothing, but useless.

She presses her lips in a thin line, "It's deep, you really got yourself badly,"

Chuckling dryly in response, no words left my lips but painful groans.

Soon she began to disinfect my wound feeling the air hitting the open scar, while my left eye squeezes more tightly. Her fingertips gently graze around, before sighing deeply. "Could you try opening your eye, I need to see if it was just an external wound or internal?"

Painfully lifting my heavy eye from not opening it for hours, I soon feeling it slowly fluttering open. Everything was fuzzy and far more darker in view, but......wait hang on, it can't be........I'm....

"Can you see Corporal?" She asks, with concern lacing in her voice.

Slowly nodding I breathe out with relief, "Yeah......I can,"

Suddenly a loud explosion occurs causing the earth to tremble, hearing the soldiers shrieking and yelling in response. My head slight jerks up, seeing thick cannon smoke darkening in a patch. My eye slightly widens, only for me to wince with discomfort. Gripping my eye firmly, my head leaned forward trying to ease the pain.

"Corporal, you're not looking too good," The young nurse rests her hand on my shoulder, while shaking my head. Muttering that I was alright, my attention shifts back to the explosion. What was that? Was it cannon fire, or was it Eren transforming again? Many thoughts ran through my head, while trying to bear with the throbbing pain.

"Here, let me patch your eye up," She rummages through a box, before seeing gauze in hand. Closing my eye she passes me a patch to hold onto, while she wraps my left eye and around my head by an angle. Slowly and patiently waiting, she finishes wrapping my head before sighing deeply.

"There, now you mu--"

Standing up without letting her finish, "I need to go see what's going on,"

With that I push off running in the direction, as many soldier watch from afar the thick smoke wafting in the air. Soon I notice titan steam mixing in the air, which soon made my heart rate pick up. Dammit, did they find out already? Were there witnesses earlier on, before being casted over the wall? Finally reaching the area where we left from coming over the wall, the Garrison's eyes were wide with fear, while Kitz was looking far more horrified.

My eyes snap in the direction when the steam was coming from, only seeing barely a form of a titan. Only bone and muscle, the ghastly sight was horrifying especially to the Garrison who never goes face to face with titans.

"Maintain your distance!" Kitz yells. "All squads remain alert! He could strike at any time! Artillery crew! Get that cannon reloaded!"

"Where are the children?" I question Rico sternly, while she points in the direction where they were. Turning to Kitz, I narrow my eyes. "Captain Woermann, you need to stand dow--"

He growls, "What kind of orders you give me, we're dealing with a titan!!!"

"They're just children, you need to hear them ou--"

His fiery and fearful eyes locks with mine, "Are you with them too, is this why you're incredibly strong?!" He snaps angrily, suddenly accusing me. "You're a spy, are you not?!"

"No, I'm not a spy, but a loyal soldier!" I fire back, determinedly.

"Captain, the smoke is clearing!" one of the garrison soldiers yell out. "As you soon as we see it, we blast it!"

"Kill it before it gets us!"

"Hold your fire--!" Kitz yells, only to be interrupted by a heavy rumbling of the bones collapsing to the ground. The smoke spreads out, as I cover my face and eyes from the thick aftermath of the titan and cannon fire. Everyone cries out with fear, with confusion. Soon the smoke slowly clears, while I stood still for a moment.

"Captain Woermann, the cannon is almost reloaded," Rico informs him. "We're ready, sir. What are your orders for the next attack?"

It was like they were completely ignoring me, while they stood there with fear.

His breath quavers with fear like he was confused and afraid at the same time, but nonetheless he was still persistent on taking these children down. "All troops will await my signal!" he calls, while Rico nods.

"Yes sir,"

Without hesitation I stood in front of their fire, arms outstretched while my eyes dangerously glare into Kitz's own fearful ones. He's so quick to judge the situation, yet fear was clouding his eyes and controlling his actions. All swords were still drawn out, aiming at me while my eyes narrow his way.

"Get out the way, you bitch!" He orders, while my feet sink further down like it was buried in the ground.

"No,"

Rico turns to him after exchanging glances up to the artillery crew, "The Artillery crew is reloaded, Captain!" She informs him. "It's your call, sir........should we get soldiers to drag her away?"

"Over my own dead body, will you lay a hand on them," I threaten, knowing these three since they were practically children.

Having the painful thought standing idly by, while seeing them all be killed by our own kind would be heartless, and even I will regret my actions backing out now.

Kitz's voice trembles, "Soldiers, grab her!"

Four soldiers storm towards me, while I brace for whatever it thrown at me. With all having blades, I had nothing against them. One lunges over to grab my arm, but I send a harsh punch their way knocking them over. The other went to grab my left, when something knocks my knees, slamming them into the stone ground. Hissing lightly, my vision started playing up on me. Shaking my head, they all grab me by the arms, but I use all my strength sending them to the ground while kicking their feet.

"Just get her!!!" Kitz yells, while I flip a soldier over my shoulder.

His body slams not as harshly but enough to stop him, before a blade ran across my upper right arm. Hissing under my breath, all four grabbed a hold of me pulling me back. I rip from their grips as blood rolls down to the tips of my fingernails, before I hear someone shouting before Kitz began yelling.

"Halt, Halt!"

My head whips around to see Armin sliding out of the smoke, holding his arms up with surrender. "Is this supposed to be your true form, monster?!" Kitz yells angrily, while two soldiers grabs both my arms tugging me back before whipping their rifles, aiming at Armin. "I don't buy it! I'll give the signal to fire, I mean it!"

"Eren is not a foe of humanity!" Armin yells. "We're willing to cooperate with the Military Command, and share everything we've learned a about his powers!"

"Your pleas fall on deaf ears!" Kitz fires back. "he revealed his true form, and because of that threat, he cannot leave here alive! If you insist that he's not an enemy of ours, show me proof! Otherwise we'll blast him back to whatever nightmare he crawled out of!"

Armin's eyes were filled with determination, "You don't need any proof! The fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter what we perceive him to be!"

"W-what?!"

"The reports say hundreds of soldiers saw him, and those who were there say that they saw him fighting other titans!" Armin explains, as he locks eyes with mine. "And that means they saw him get swarmed by the titans as well. To put it plainly, the titans saw him the same way they see each and every human being; as their prey; and it doesn't matter how else you may look at it! That is an irrefutable fact!"

All the soldiers eyes widen while murmuring to themselves, while I turn to Kitz, "I was there when it happened, what he's said is the truth," I add, while he grits his teeth. Kitz shook his head out of fear, as his breathe wavers. All soldiers were lowering their weapons, which in response Kitz was growing more frantic.

"Prepare to attack!" Kitz yells. "Don't let yourself be swayed by his cunning lies, and this suicidal scout Corporal's words! The titans behaviour has always been beyond our comprehension. I wouldn't put it past 'em to assume human form. He's speaking our language....i-in an attempt to deceive us! I refuse to let them continue this behaviour unchecked!"

All soldiers raise their weapons again with fear, only listening to what isn't right.

Suddenly Armin slams his right fist against his heart, "I am a soldier! And I have dedicated my heart to the restoration of humanity, sir!" He yells out, proudly. "Nothing could make me prouder than dying for such a noble cause! If we were to use his titan ability and combine it with the manpower we have left, I believe we can do it! We can retake this city! For humanity's glory, in what little time I have left to live, I will advocate his strategic value!"

My eyes side-glance seeing Kitz's eyes darken, "Captain Woermann, his words are worth considering, sir," Ian spoke up, inquiring about Armin's somewhat plan. "Maybe we should--"

"Quiet!" Kitz yells back, seeing him slowly raising his hand up.

"Captain Woermann, please reconsider?!" I plead angrily, as these were my own soldiers. "They're just kids!"

He went to swipe his arm with his signal, when suddenly someone comes in on time capturing his arm. "That's enough," a familiar rough voice appears, recognising him just by his voice alone. "You should really do something about your nervous disposition, Captain Woermann."

Turning around there stood Commander Pyxis, feeling relief wash over as my hand quickly grips my wounded arm. Blood seeps through my fingers, while my heart was slowing down after a while, of some kind of miracle for this situation to die down.

"C-Commander Pyxis?" Kitz stammers, in disbelief to see the Commander standing before him.

"Can you not see this soldier's heartfelt salute?" Pyxis inquires, gesturing to Armin who stood there shaking. "I've only just arrived, but I'm quite aware of our situation. Gather our reinforcements. I think we could at least do these young soldiers the favour of hearing them out."

Pyxis turns to me, while touching my wounded shoulder.

"You like you been through hell, my dear," he points out, before clearing his throat. "I apologise for my soldiers taking action upon you, they crossed the line.....especially Woermann."

Shaking my head, I share a soft relieved smile.

"It's fine, they're my soldiers.....so they're my priority," assuring him softly, my breath was growing uneven. With the heavy tension bustling through the Garrison, they seriously understood the real dangers outside of these walls. They were still afraid, even though every month my regiment goes out there and faces death.

"You're our second best soldier Corporal Yamasaki, I can't allow any disrespect upon you," He spoke up, before sculling down liquor from behind his jacket. He smacks his lips with satisfaction, "Also what happened here?"

He gestures to my eye, while my eyes grew slightly dark.

"Nothing......just another scar,"
