*7 Months later*
*Your P.O.V*
My dad and Savannah began decorating the baby's nursery, they're having a boy... that's even worse. Boys are so gross, they don't wash their hands... Savannah does pregnant lady yoga, it's weird.. I hate it with burning passion.
*A month later*
Savannah began maternity leave, "You're gonna poop when you give birth" I quoted Grey's Anatomy, "That doesn't happen.." dad said, "Yeah it does, I learned it in Grey's Anatomy." "It's true... some women do in fact poop on the table.." Savannah agreed with me, "Ew" I laughed at my dad's shock.
*Some weeks later*
My dad's speeding down the road, Savannah is having bad contractions, her water broke, and I'm just sitting in the backseat trying to function peacefully. We get to the hospital and my dad runs to get a wheelchair, I casually enter the lobby, obviously I'm not going in the delivery room, so here I am reading a book while Savannah is having a baby.
*2 months later*
Crying is all I ever hear nowadays.. well- that and baby talk "Hi Hankie" Savannah said when he woke up from his nap. Don't get me wrong, I love babies but, Hank is just something else. I walked Millie and when I came back they were nowhere to be found. I stayed inside for 15 minutes but got bored. Not like they were concerned about me, so I walked Millie again but this time I walked to the park and tied Millie's leash when I went on the swing, I was probably on the swing for 30 minutes but the sun began to set so I walked back home. Still no Savannah or dad, 5 minutes later they entered the house with Hank and 5 new baby toys. "He can't even move around, what's the point of the toys?" "You got toys as a baby" my dad tried to reason, "Yeah, like a stuffed animal, something I could actually use. Smh"
*3 days later*
*Crying* "I hate it here" I mumbled, Hank was crying at 3 IN THE MORNING!! Sleep? I don't know her. *hops out of bed* I walked to dad's bedroom to see a rather tired Savannah rocking Hank, my dad was on a case, "Yes Y/N?" "Is he gonna be done crying anytime soon? I have school in the morning" I said, "I'm sorry sweetie" "Ughhhh" I walked away and called my dad, "Hey princess, it's 3 A.M why are you still awake?" I let him hear the crying, "(That) is why. He's been crying for like 15 minutes. I don't even know how that's physically possible. Is the case gonna be over soon?" "Yes, I'll be back tomorrow" he informed me, "Good" I was so tired at school the next day. "You okay?" My friend asked, "No, my stupid brother won't stop crying, I can't sleep." "Imagine. I was like 2 when my brother was born so I can't really relate" I nearly fell asleep during ELA, I took a power nap during lunch, that just goes to show that Hank's crying is louder than the cafeteria. Savannah was going back to work, she had a night shift and my dad had to stay at the office for meetings and paperwork, "Y/N, we need you to watch Hank" "Why? He's not my kid??" I sassed, "Princess, we don't have time for the sass right now. It's not up for discussion." "Here we go.." I said under my breath, "Excuse me missy??" "This is the start of 'you're the big sister so you're a tertiary parent' life. It's not fair. You spend all your time with Hank, the other day I left the house to walk Millie, you and Savannah left with Hank, no warning. And, anytime you guys aren't with Hank it's because you're working." I explained to him, it was like he had a moment of realization, "Y/N/N- it never occurred to me... how about this, this whole weekend will be about you? Anything you want to do. Penelope would gladly watch Hank..." "Ok" we shook on it. This whole weekend would revolve around me 🙂
