Third person's POV
Another week has passed, Chaeyoung still picks Mina up from work everyday. It's one of those days, while Mina is waiting outside the building entrance, she saw a fancy red Ferrari is slowly approaching. The car stops right in front of her, attracting attention from almost everyone around there. And to Mina's surprise, it's none other than Chaeyoung who opens the driver door and steps out, then the girl just walks straight to Mina with two ice creams in her hands,
The white buttoned long sleeve shirt is half tucked in a pair of denim jeans, trendy sunglasses with her shoulder length hair is waving with the wind as she walks. Chaeyoung just looks so cool right now, Mina can literally feel that she's falling in love all over again,
Once she reached Mina's waiting spot, Chaeyoung just casually hands to Mina one of the ice creams and starts to eat her own one, so casually as if it's no big deal at all that she just stepped out of a Ferrari,
Meanwhile, Mina has her mouth agape ever since the moment she saw Chaeyoung stepped out of the expensive car. She is now holding the ice cream in her hand but still speechless,
'I think ice cream is the best invention that this modern world has ever created.' Chaeyoung says while enjoying her favourite sweet,
'I have sooooo many questions for you, you cheeky Cub...' Mina is finally able to speak, '...But as of now, you just drove a Ferrari and yet you still think ice cream is the better invention than that extra-extraordinary car?'
Chaeyoung doesn't argue back at Mina's statement, she just smiles brightly at the girl while reaching her hands over and opens the ice cream wrapper for her Baby, being a true gentlewoman that she is, 'Well, would you gorgeous girl let me take you home on that extra-extraordinary car?' She asks Mina while adoringly watching the girl enjoys her ice cream that she just peeled for her,
'Yes, I would love to.' Mina quickly replied, but then her voice turns a little sulky, 'Let's go because I'm starting to have this weird feelings inside of me cause all these girls are staring at you with dreamy eyes.' She complains,
Chaeyoung glances around and only then she realised there's quite a number of girls are currently checking her out from head to toe, then to the fancy car that she drove,
Chaeyoung quickly pulls Mina with her into the car to avoid all the staring and also to avoid her Minari getting her jealousy all worked up,
Sitting down on the passenger seat, Mina looks around the luxurious interior of the car in awe, 'Ok, Chaengie, what is going on?' She now wants answers,
'So I told Nayeon what happened last time with your company CEO and his car, Nayeon concluded that I was being looked down on, and the only way to save my face is to get a better car than his.' Chaeyoung starts to explain,
'But how... how did you buy this car?' Mina is still in disbelief,
Chaeyoung proceeds to pull out from her pocket a small bag and hands it to Mina. Mina opens the bag to see and now not only her mouth is wide open, but also her eyes. There has to be about hundreds of different sizes of pure diamonds inside the bag,
'The gifts for your parents weren't the only things I brought from ancient time. I brought these as well because I know they would worth something, as I could guess the paper money from ancient time would be useless here. But then since I came here, I don't see anyone uses diamonds to buy things at all, you all use these small rectangular cards, so I thought these diamonds are also useless here, until I showed them to Nayeon. She almost fainted again upon seeing these, but after she calmed herself down, she told me even the smallest one in this bag can buy 3 or 4 of these cars, so yeah I bought one. Initially I wasn't planning to buy such an expensive car, but Nayeon demanded this Ferrari because she wanted to see a certain Yoo JeongYeon who is working for this company.' Chaeyoung explains to Mina in detail,
Mina is attentively listening, but she still can not utter a word. The girl is quite stunned and speechless because on her hands right now is a bag of diamonds easily worths a few hundred million dollars. After a few moments to collect herself, Mina finally speaks up, 'Chaengie, do you have any idea how rich you are right now?'
Chaeyoung smiles brightly at Mina, 'Nayeon kinda made sure I know that fact.' She then leans real close to the girl she loves, staring deeply into Mina's eyes, 'WE are so rich right now.' She corrected Mina, making sure the girl is included,
Mina smiles at Chaeyoung's sweet and loving gesture, 'Why do I feel like I'm your sugar Baby now?!' She says while giggling, knowing she will be so spoiled by her now super rich girlfriend,
'Because you are my sugar Baby.' Chaeyoung casually replies,
'Do you know what "sugar Baby" means, Chaengie?' Mina asks,
'Of course, you are my Baby, and you are so sweet, therefore you are my sugar Baby.' Chaeyoung answers innocently,
Mina chuckles at that but she doesn't want to correct Chaeyoung because to Mina, Chaeyoung is so charming in such a special way when she's clueless like this sometimes,
'But when did you learn how to drive, Chaengie?' Mina continues to ask,
'Everyday when you are at work, I learn things. I now not only know how to drive cars, but also bicycles, motorbikes, boats... Next I will learn to fly an airplane.' Chaeyoung tells her,
Mina has her mouth cutely formed an O at how quick learning and talented Chaeyoung is, she looks at the girl she loves with eyes full of admiration,
'Pick up your jaw, Baby girl.' Chaeyoung knows what she did is indeed impressive, she smiles proudly while reaching her hand over and helps Mina to hold up her jaw,
Mina gulps to wet her dry throat, she then pouts her lips, 'Not fair! You got to learn all these, and I... I don't even know how to ride a bicycle.' She complains,
'Awww... Baby, it's not hard. I will teach you, huhm?!' Chaeyoung soothes Mina while adoringly caresses her cheek,
Mina smiles happily while nodding her head, and with that the two drive home together.
That weekend, on Saturday morning, after breakfast and washing up, Chaeyoung grabs Mina's hand and gently pulls the girl with her, 'Come, Minari, I have a surprise for you.'
Mina obediently followed Chaeyoung's lead to the building car park. Chaeyoung stops at their usual parking spot, 'Tada...' She makes the sound while gesturing for Mina to look to the front,
Mina has to bring her hand up to cover her mouth in surprise, her eyes are sparkle upon seeing a fancy red shiny Ferrari in front of her, looking exactly the same as the one Chaeyoung has. Mina doesn't really ask for any expensive gift, but if it's the loving gesture from Chaeyoung, she would gladly accept it, 'Chaengie, is it a couple item or something?' She asks while smiling shyly, 'Thank you, I love it but you didn't have to spend that much. Even got me exactly the same car as yours, aren't you sweet, Chaengie?' She hits on Chaeyoung's shoulder softly,
'Uhh... Minari, that is my car, your gift is right next to it.' Chaeyoung is a little hesitated to pop Mina's bubbles,
'Eh?' That brings Mina back down on earth, she looks at Chaeyoung then quickly looks down at the ground, internally scolding herself for assuming things so fast,
Chaeyoung bends down a little to look at Mina's face, she gives both of those pinky cheeks adoring kisses, 'How adorable you are! Baby, what's mine is yours. You can just buy any car you want, how about 7 cars for each day of the week, huhm?' She soothes the embarrassed girl,
'It's.... not that, it's...' Mina replies in her tiny voice while still having her head down,
Chaeyoung places a kiss on Mina's forehead, 'I'm sorry, it's my fault but it's me, your Chaengie, there's nothing to be embarrassed about in front of me. Don't you want to see your gift, huhm?' She gently asks,
Only then Mina is able to raise her head, she smiles at Chaeyoung then takes a few steps closer to have a look. Next to the Ferrari is a cute mint green bicycle, exactly the style, the colour and the size that she once told Chaeyoung in one of their random conversations. Mina's heart just melts at how attentive Chaeyoung actually is, the girl seems to remember every little things that they had ever talked about,
Mina can't help but to jump straight into Chaeyoung's arms, 'Thank you, thank you Chaengie! I love it!' She exclaims with a loving peck on Chaeyoung's lips,
Chaeyoung smiles warmly at Mina, 'Now the important part is for you to learn how to ride it.'
And with that the two go straight to the park nearby. Mina is now nervously sitting on the bike, feelings scared that she will fall down, 'Chaeng... Chaengie, I want to go home...' She tells Chaeyoung, suddenly wants to back out now,
Chaeyoung chuckles, she reaches her hand and gently caresses Mina's cheek to calm her down, 'Minari, you will be alright! I will hold onto you from behind so you won't fall, huhm?!'
'Promise?' Mina asks with a bit of tears in her eyes,
'Double promise!' Chaeyoung reassures Mina with a peck on her lips. She then continues, 'Alright Minari, you put force into your right foot and push this pedal forward. I will have you at the back, so don't worry, huhm?!'
Mina nods her head and proceeds to follow Chaeyoung's instruction. She loses balance and almost falls a few times, but Chaeyoung is always there to catch her girl,
'One more time, Baby. You can do it!' Chaeyoung is nonstop encouraging,
Mina nods her head but her lips are pouting, 'Chaengie, don't let go of me, ok?' She wants a confirmation,
'I won't, Baby. Now let's go!' Chaeyoung reassures once more,
Mina pushes the right pedal forward to get the momentum, with Chaeyoung is holding at the back, Mina is starting to get the balance, 'Don't let go, Chaengie!' Mina reminds her,
'I'm right here, Baby. Keep going!' Chaeyoung replies,
Mina continues to ride and soon enough, the bike is more stable and Mina just keeps pedalling, 'Chaengie, are you still holding?' She asks while having her eyes fixed straight ahead,
Hearing no answer, Mina quickly asks again, 'Chaengie, are you there?'
Still no answer, Mina decided to be brave and glances behind real quick to see Chaeyoung is standing quite far from her now,
'Does that mean... I'm riding the bicycle by myself now?' Mina asks herself. And when it sinks in, she's so excited that she now knows how to ride a bicycle, 'Woo hoo... yay...I did it. Chaengie, do you see this? I'm riding it all by myself, Chaengie!!!' She's screaming in celebration,
Meanwhile, Chaeyoung has the proudest smile on her face watching her Baby rides around the park. The look of happiness on Mina's face just makes Chaeyoung's heart jumps with joy,
After one lap around the park, Mina stops her bike next to Chaeyoung, she gets off the bike and immediately jumps into Chaeyoung's arms, 'Chaengie, Chaengie, did you see that? Did you see me ride the bicycle all by myself?' Mina is so excited like a little kid who can't stop bragging about her achievement,
'Yes, of course I saw it. My Baby is the smartest, you are a very fast learner.' And Chaeyoung couldn't hide how proud she is,
Mina smiles brightly, 'Chaengie, I want to learn everything that I don't know. Will you teach me?'
'Are you sure you want to learn from me? I'm a strict teacher.' Chaeyoung strictly warns but her hands are nonstop caressing Mina's cheeks adoringly,
Mina crunches her nose on that, she knows how much Chaeyoung loves and adores her, and that means she will get out of any trouble, no matter what it is, 'I will be a good student. I will listen to you, to anything you say.' She promises,
Chaeyoung hugs Mina so tight, the love she has for this gorgeous and adorable girl is just overflowing, 'Well then I will spend my whole life to teach you everything I know. But first of all, take a few months off work and travel with me.' She proposes the idea,
'Travelling?' Mina is a little surprised but she's loving the idea, 'That would be amazing! But Chaengie, where are we going?'
'Taiwan.' Chaeyoung replies,
Mina creases her brows, 'Taiwan? Why Taiwan out of everywhere else on earth?'
'I had a look and compared the world maps of this modern world and ancient time, and I found out that Taiwan is the country where Tzuyu's Kingdom used to be. Remember Tzuyu? Yeah, wouldn't it be amazing to meet her great great grandchildren? I would love to talk to them about their beautiful great great grandmother.' The cheeky Chaeyoung just can't help herself but to tease her adorably easily jealous girlfriend,
Mina has been glaring fire at Chaeyoung ever since the moment she heard the name Tzuyu. And as soon as Chaeyoung finished her sentence, without a word, Mina stomps her feet and walks away without looking back,
Chaeyoung hurriedly runs after Mina, she hugs the girl from behind, 'My Minari, I'm sorry. Please don't be mad!'
Mina stomps her feet in place as she can't free herself from Chaeyoung's hug no matter how much she tries, 'I don't want to go to Taiwan... ever.' She's protesting,
'I know, I know. We are not going to Taiwan, I was just teasing you, my good Baby don't be angry at me, huhm?!' Chaeyoung gently soothes her,
Mina stops resisting but her face is still mad accompany with her cute sad pouting lips. Chaeyoung smiles lovingly at the girl she loves, then she pulls out from her pocket 2 airplane tickets, 'My Minari, we are going to Japan for 3 months, visiting your birth place.' She tells her,
Mina has a look at the tickets and her sulkiness is long gone, 'You knew my family is from Japan?'
'Of course!' Chaeyoung replies while giving Mina's cheek a loving pinch, 'I have done my research, and your parents also told me that you haven't visited Japan for a long time. So Baby, for 3 months, we will go to every city in Japan, I want to see the land where my gorgeous Minari was born.'
After 3 amazing months of travelling throughout Japan together, arriving back in Seoul in the early evening, Mina and Chaeyoung are now heading home from the airport. Chaeyoung is driving with one hand, her other hand wouldn't let go of Mina's hand, and Mina is happily intertwining her fingers with Chaeyoung's, enjoying the safe and secure feelings which she always has whenever she's with her protective other half,
About 10 minutes into the drive, Mina notices that Chaeyoung is driving her somewhere else rather than home, 'Chaengie, this isn't the way home.' She tells her,
'Yes, Baby, we aren't going home.' Chaeyoung replies while giving Mina a charming smile,
'Then where are we going?' Mina asks right away,
'We are going to... a place where I'm not going to tell you.' Chaeyoung taps on Mina's nose tip just to tease her,
'Uhmm... Chaengiiieee...' Mina complains while pouting her lips, her curiosity is being teased to the max,
Chaeyoung smiles adoringly at Mina, 'Be patient, Baby girl! We're almost there.'
And soon enough, Chaeyoung stops the car in front of a modern yet classy looking building, situated right in the middle of fancy Gangnam,
Mina steps out of the car and as soon as she saw the bright sign on top of the building that says "Mina's dance school", she immediately knew what Chaeyoung did for her eventhough she's in a complete surprise right now,
Mina couldn't hold in her tears, she cries like a baby while looking at Chaeyoung, as she can literally feel the immense amount of love and care which Chaeyoung has for her. Everything that Chaeyoung does, big or small, Mina is always the centre of them all,
'Silly! Don't cry! I didn't do this to make you cry.' Chaeyoung gently wipes the tears away from Mina's cheeks, then she embraces Mina into her arms with so much love, 'This is my gift for you. Nayeon helped me to decorate this place for the last 3 months, so I'm sure you will like it. Minari, I want you to be happy, I want you to do the things that you love. And here, you can dance, you can learn to improve your dance, you can teach people how to dance. I... I'm not forcing you to stop working at that financial place, but... but...' Chaeyoung is being very careful with her words, she doesn't like the fact that Mina is working with Jin everyday, but she definitely doesn't want to sound like an obsessive girlfriend who is forcing the girl she loves to obey her decision,
Mina looks up at Chaeyoung with eyes full of love, 'Chaengie, I actually planned to tell you this when we get home, but I didn't take 3 months off work, I resigned already.'
Chaeyoung is celebrating inside hearing that, but she is holding it back for now, 'Really? Minari, is it alright with you? When... and how...?'
Mina smiles warmly, she places a kiss on Chaeyoung's lips, 'Chaengie, I didn't wait in pain for you for two long years just to make you feel upset and uneasy everyday by going to work with Jin. I... I know you don't like seeing me with Jin.'
There are no words to describe the feelings of relief that Chaeyoung has right now, as if the biggest worry inside of her just dissolved into thin air. She lifts Mina up into her arms in celebration, 'Yes, Minari, I'm jealous, I feel uneasy everytime you go to work. I wanted to tell you that, but it's alright now, I'm so happy now, you have no idea how relieved I am. Thank you! Thank you, my Baby for understanding me.'
'I'm the one who should be thankful. Chaengie, thank you for helping me to continue my dream with dancing! This is a huge present.' Mina can't stop her appreciation towards what Chaeyoung did for her,
Chaeyoung smiles happily at Mina, 'You know how I've already started making money by investing into different companies. This is also an investment, with other people, I invest money, but with you, my Baby, I invest my life.'
'You invest your life?' Mina's heart just melts at how romantic that sounds. And even before she can collect herself from that charming statement, Mina jumps at the multiple loud exploding sounds from the building behind,
Bang...bang...bang...
Mina turns around to see fireworks are being shot to the sky from the very building with her name on it. Beautiful fireworks made up the question, 'Mina, will you marry me?' The letters are sparkles with many bright colours written across the dark sky,
It took Mina a few seconds to sink in what's happening, she turns back around to see Chaeyoung is already knelt down on one knee with a beautiful diamond ring on her hands. Mina's happy tears are streaming down her face, there are no words to describe the amount of happiness that is present inside Mina right now, as the girl she loves is proposing to her,
'Minari, I have done lots of research and I know that a memorable proposal is very important in this modern world. I don't know if I did it right, but Baby, I love you, I love you so much, I literally can't live without you, so my Baby, will you marry me?' Eventhough Chaeyoung is confident that Mina is indeed deeply in love with her, but at this moment, the official proposal got the strong and confident Chaeyoung all nervous, her hands are shaking a little out of nervousness,
Mina's heart exploded with joy, 'Oh Chaengie, what you did is more than right. This... this is perfect, you took me by complete surprise, an amazing surprise and it's like I'm living a dream, a dream that I always dream of. Yes, My Baby Cub, I will marry you.'
Chaeyoung's tears are now also falling, she stands up and puts the ring onto Mina's ring finger, and it just fits perfectly, as if it has found its owner,
Mina gently wipes the tears away for Chaeyoung. The two smile brightly while staring into each other's eyes with so much love, 'But Chaengie, I'm curious as to how you would propose to me if we live in ancient time.'
Chaeyoung reaches her hand over and adoringly caresses Mina's cheek before replying, 'Oh Baby, we ancient people are more straight forward. We... we just get right to business.'
Mina tilts her head a little to think, her curious face is so cute and innocent, that Chaeyoung can't help herself but to give the girl's cute cheek a loving pinch. She chuckles a little before continuing, 'Firstly, I would place the most beautiful hair pin onto your silky hair...' Chaeyoung does the gesture of placing an imaginative hairpin onto Mina's hair, '... Be mine! My love for you is witnessed everyday by the sun and everynight by the moon.' She tells her,
Mina's heart just skipped a beat at the very direct, a little aggressive but not lacking of any romance,
'Secondly, I would claim your irresistible lips as if they are and always will belong to me.' Chaeyoung leans in and captures Mina's lips with hers. The kiss is powerful and convincing, leaving Mina all breathless and bothered,
'Be my wife! And I promise to stay next to you all day everyday, just like that little star is always right next to the beautiful bright moon for eternity.' Chaeyoung keeps going with her poetic and sweet proposal,
And Mina's eyes are now all dreamy, she can literally feel that she's falling even deeper in love with this charming and charismatic woman in front of her,
'And lastly, I would seal the deal by...' Chaeyoung picks Mina up onto her arms like a baby, '... making my woman the happiest girl alive... right here, right now.'
Mina widens her eyes, 'Right... right here?' She asks while kicking her legs, protesting,
Chaeyoung laughs, 'Don't blame me, you asked for an ancient proposal, remember?'
'But... but...' Mina pouts her lips, she looks around to check, eventhough this car park is quite private, but it's still a public place,
'Oh, so you don't like it. Does that mean your answer to my proposal is a no?' Chaeyoung can't help herself but to tease the girl,
Mina immediately wraps her arms around Chaeyoung's neck, holding on so tight, 'Chaeng... Chaengie, my answer is a yes! I'm marrying you no matter what it is.' She quickly confirms,
Chaeyoung smiles triumphantly, she leans down and places a kiss on those cute pouty lips, 'Silly, do you really think I would let you show any skin in a public place like this?' She places another adoring kiss on Mina's nose tip before continuing, 'But Baby, I'm afraid that your new dance school office will have to serve a different purpose tonight.'
Mina nods her head while smiling shyly, totally understood what Chaeyoung meant. At this point, she would follow Chaeyoung's lead to anywhere, hell or heaven,
And with that, Chaeyoung heads straight into the building with Mina on her arms. The two smile brightly, so happy, so relieved, as of right now, there's nothing they have to worry about, right now, there's only love, there are only Chaeyoung and Mina, and their happily ever after.
