10 years later
Mirabel's glasses lays on the plank over her bed till Casita tilds it down for Mirabel to catch. She takes her skirt who lays by her sewing machine and puts it on. Casita drags her shoes while Mirabel puts on while walking. She walks her wardrobe and rummages around, Casita catching the clothes in the laundry basket. Mirabel tilt her satchel with her name around her. She reaches for her door handle but then takes a thread from her skirt and hold the handle.
"Make your family proud.", she exhales.
She slides down the stairs with help from Casita.
"Morning, Abuelo.", she greets Pedro's portrait.
Three excited children, two girls and a boy, run towards Casita, the boy in the center drinking coffee.
Mirabel walks towards dining room while the shutters open. Casita tilds the dresser so that all the plates roll to the table. Mirabel catches them quickly reaches the last one who roll past her and set it down.
"Hey! When's the magic gift happen?!", the boy yelled.
"My cousin's ceremony is tonight.", Mirabel says setting the plates on the table.
"What's his gift?!", the girl on the left yelled.
"We're gonna find out."
"What's your gift?!", the boy asks after drinks his coffee.
"Who's asking?"
"Us.", the three children said.
"Well, "us," I can't just talk about myself ... I'm only part of the amazing Madrigals.", Mirabel gestures to the family tree behind her.
"Who's all the amazing Madrigals?"
"Ah, you're not gonna leave me alone, are you? Casita, help me out."Drawers!"
Mirabel points at the drawers which Casita moves.
"Floors!"
The tiles in the courtyard moves around her.
"Doors!"
She stood in front of Alma's door as all the door glow.
"Let's go!"
This is our home
We've got every generation
So full of music
A rhythm of its own design
This is my family
A perfect constellation
So many stars
And everybody gets to shine
Whoa
But let's be clear,
Abuela runs this show
Whoa
She led us here so many years ago
Whoa
And every year, our family blessings grow
There's just a lot you've simply got to know, so ...
Welcome to the Family Madrigal
The home of the Family Madrigal
We're on our way
Where all the people are fantastical and magical
I'm part of the Family Madrigal
Mirabel follows her family. The tree children from before watch how the members are walking past them.
"Oh, my gosh! It's them!", the girl with auburn hait yells.
"What are the gifts?", the girl with dark brown hair asks, "I can't remember all the gifts."
"All right, all right, relax!", Mirabel says.
"It is physically impossible to relax!"
"Tell us everything! What are your powers?"
"Just tell us what everyone can do!", the boy yelled wide awake from his coffee.
"And that's why coffee's for grown-ups.", Mirabel takes the cup from him.
She stands in front of mural painting of the family.
My tía Pepa
Her mood affects the weather
When she's unhappy
Well, the temperature gets weird
My tío Bruno ...
We don't talk about Bruno!
They say he saw the future
One day he disappeared
Oh
And that's my mom Julieta
Here's her deal
Whoa
The truth is she can heal you with a meal
Whoa
Her recipes are remedies for real
If you're impressed, imagine how I feel
Julieta lays down the plate and gives Mirabel a kiss on the cheek.
"Mom?!"
Mirabel twirls around with her mother then walked towards the village.
Welcome to the Family Madrigal!
The home of the Family Madrigal!
"Hey, coming through!"
I know it sounds a bit fantastical and magical
But I'm part of the Family Madrigal!
Two guys fell in love
With Family Madrigal!
And now they're part of
The Family Madrigal!
So yeah tío Félix married Pepa
And my dad married Julieta
That's how Abuela became
An Abuela Madrigal
Let's go
Let's go
Alma walks in the village and helps the people while singing.
We swear to always
Help those around us
And earn the miracle
That somehow found us
The town keeps growing
The world keeps turning
But work and dedication
Will keep the miracle burning
And each new generation
Must keep the miracle burning
"Wait, who's a sister and who's a cousin?", the girl with dark brown hair asks.
"There's so many people!", the girl with auburn hair says.
"How do you keep them all straight?", the coffee boy asks Mirabel.
"Okay, okay, okay, okay ... "
So many kids in our house so let's turn the sound up
You know why? I think it's time for a grandkid round up!
Grandkid Round-up
Cousin Dolores
Can hear a pin drop
Camilo shapeshifts,
Antonio gets his gift today!
My older sisters
Isabella and Luisa
One strong, one graceful
Perfect in every way
Isabella
Grows a flower, the town goes wild
Isabella
She's the perfect golden child
Luisa, Luisa
And Luisa's super strong
The beauty and the brawn do no wrong...
Luisa sets the bridge down by the river.
"Let's get ready!", Alma yells.
"Coming, Abuela!", Luisa runs back to the house.
That's life in the Family Madrigal
Whoa
Now you know
The Family Madrigal
Whoa
Where all the people
Are fantastical and magical
Whoa
That's who we are
In the Family Madrigal
"¡Adios!", Mirabel salutes.
She wanted to go back to the house but the girl with dark brown hair stopps her.
"But what's your gift?"
An accordeon is thrown at Mirabel as the musicians continued to plays.
Ha! Well, I gotta go
The life of a Madrigal
But now you all know
The Family Madrigal
I never meant this to get autobiographical
So just to review
The Family Madrigal
Let's go...
But what about Mirabel?
It starts with Abuela
And then tía Pepa, she handles the weather...
But what about Mirabel?
My mom Julieta
Can make you feel better with just one arepa
But what about Mirabel?
My dad Agustín
Well, he's accident-prone but he means well
But what about Mirabel?
Hey you said you wanna know what everyone does
I got sisters and cousins and
Mirabel!
My primo Camilo won't stop until he makes you smile today!
Mirabel!
My cousin Dolores can hear this whole chorus a mile away!
Mirabel!
Look! It's Mr. Mariano
Hey, you can marry my sister if you wanna
Between you and me she's kind of a prima donna
Yo, I've said too much and thank you
But I really gotta go!
Mirabel!
My family's amazing!
Mirabel!
And I'm in my family, so...
Mirabel!
Well...
"MIRABEL!!!"
