Standing in the middle of the aisle with bookshelves on either side Sade's nose was buried inside the book that rested in both of her palms as she read over the first few pages. A smile graced her face at the hands that came in contact with her waist followed by lips that pressed into her soft skin repeatedly.
"Did you find what you were looking for?" Kairo asked still close by her ear
"I think so. This is third edition I couldn't find anything older." Sade told him tapping on the book twice
Kairo took in the slight frown that crossed her face "My father might have an older one I'll check for you Mocha"
Sade's frown quickly turned into her beautiful smile at the use of her newfound nickname "Thank you I appreciate it"
"You know it's nothing" he replied applying another kiss to her cheek. Hearing her name being called she pulled herself away and sashayed where the drinks were usually placed. As usual Sade ordered a hibiscus tea and for Kairo she thought he would enjoy a passion fruit punch. Claiming their seats Sade passed him an unwrapped metal straw from her bag.
"What?" Sade laughed at his somewhat confused facial expression
"You just pulled a straw out your purse" he said like it was the oddest thing
With a nod Sade poked the lid of her cup "Yeah, plastic hurts the planet. I don't want to partake in that"
"You're a good person" Kairo complimented
"I try to be" Sade replied smiling. With an arched eyebrow Sade watched as Kairo set back in his chair wrapping his lips around the straw pulling from it letting the flavors coat his tongue"Well?"
"It's okay a little bitter. But good nevertheless" he responded taking another sip to confirm his answer
"It's a healthy smoothie bar but they have packets of sugar" She told him reaching behind her to grab a condiments container on another table. She watched as he removed the lid and tore the packets open letting the sugar dissolve in the cup.
"I never got to ask how was your outting with your friend?"
"It was just what I needed. Some retail therapy" Sade sighed happily
"You like to shop huh?" Kairo asked with a smirk
"Don't you?" Sade returned the question
"I do. I enjoy the luxury's my life brings"
Sade nodded "But seriously it's the Libra in me."
"You believe in all that zodiac shit?"
Sade bucked her eyes at his disapproving look "Yes! You don't?"
"Nah a person's personality is solely based on them not something based off the month you were born on" Kairo told her
"Not the person's whole personality but some characteristics. And it's based on more than just the month when you really get into astrology" Sade informed him
"I'll teach you Italian you'll teach me astrology?" Kairo made a proposal
"Deal" Sade said smiling even though it was something he didn't find interest in but because it was so intriguing to Sade he was willing to gain some knowledge on the subject. The two sat in silence enjoying the books they had chosen until Kairo got bored with not only the book but the silence. Crumbling up the straw wrapper he lightly tossed it at Sade and quickly put his head back in the book.
"I know it was you Kairo " Sade laughed tossing it back
"What I do?" He asked looking up with a confused look
"What did you do?" She laughed as she balled her paper up tossing it at him
"That's why you missed" He laughed as Sade rolled her eyes
"Give it back so I can try again" Sade told him reaching across the table with her hand out
"No." He chuckled "Why would I give you the material to harm me"
"Harm you!?" Sade laughed loudly
"Shh!" An older lady hushed them causing them both to hold in their laughter and decide to pack up. Sade smiled while passing the woman whispering a quick "sorry" before making continuing their journey out.
"She was about to have a stroke telling you to be quiet" Kairo joked as they held hands walking down the sidewalk; her on the inside.
"Poor old lady. It would have been your fault anyway"
"What?" He chuckled " It was your wail you call a laugh that disturbed that lady"
Gasping Sade pushed him "What did you just call my laugh?! My laugh is cute and sweet just like me" she cheesed batting her lashes
Kairo halted their walking stopping by a brick wall surrounded by a garden he bent down and grabbed a flower sticking in her hair as his hand gripped her chin "You're very sweet and cute is an understatement. But that laugh tesoro" he trailed off
Sade rolled her eyes at his continuous joking "Fine don't worry you'll never hear this laugh again"
He watched as she pouted before wrapping his strong arms around her waist and lifting her off her feet. She squealed at the sudden disconnect with the ground and sung out in giggles as he twirled her around. Placing her back on her feet he still held her protectively so she could reclaim her balance. "I just made you wail again" he teased as Sade frowned harder. "I'm done fix your face you'll get wrinkles" he told her flipping her lip still teasing
"Black don't crack" she told him matter of factly
Kairo nodded "Unless you do it"
"I make too much money to do crack. Crack is whack" Sade joked mocking Whitney Huston causing a loud chuckle to erupt from Kairo
"And that woman was high as hell" He pointed out "You have plans tonight Mocha?"
"I have a date" she let out which immediately left a distaste in Kairo's mouth
"A date?" He asked for clarification
"Mhhh" she sung continuing to walk as his feet now hit the pavement at a quicker pace to catch up
"With who?" He said without thinking. The jealousy was evident in his voice and by the way Sade was grinning he knew she picked up on it
"I'm playing! Lighten up" Sade said causing the hard exterior he had to relax "Let me guess you wanna take me out again?"
Kairo bit his lip tugging on her hand "I always wanna take you out. But I want to see you a little loose"
"Loose?"
Kairo nodded reaching his hand up to take the silver diamond studded clip out of her hair "Yeah Mocha. Let your hair down" he said figuratively and literally

Kairo kept his hand on Sade's waist as they shuffled through the crowded club with his security pushing the pair through the drunk party goers. It was Sade's first time seeing his security even though they were always around, she couldn't help but to question why a jeweler would need detailed security but she decided not to bombarde him with questions tonight. Setting in a upper level booth Kairo pulled a shy Sade onto his lap rubbing her thigh.
"You doing this dress well love" he complimented the black dress that hugged her mild curves
"Oh this old thing" she teased grabbing his hands that were inked up gliding them down her figure
Kairo places a wet kiss on her neck shaking his head "Didn't your mama tell you don't play with fire" he whispered in her ear now with a grip on her thigh
Flipping her hair over her shoulder she grabbed his face so she would be close to his ear "Mocha likes heat"
Kairo smirked at her response "And what about Sade?"
Before she could respond a petite bottle girl approached with the try of shots they had ordered, Sade was grateful for the interruption not knowing how to reply. "Shit" Sade hissed as she threw the shot back. She eyed Kairo as he threw his back with ease his face structure remaining relaxed "Okay that was nasty as hell"
"Once you take a few you'll be cool" he told her going ahead and throwing back another one causing her to repeat the action. Still sitting on his lap Sade began to move her hips to the beat of the song that blasted throughout the entire establishment "You wanna dance?" Nodding she stood up tugging the end of on her dress down, grabbing his hand leading him to a secluded area on the dance floor.

Sade's heart raced as her back arched at the tone he used with her she didn't know what he said but her her question was answered when he turned her around in his arms placing his lips on hers. Kairo licked over her top lip asking for entrance as Sade granted his wish slightly parting her lips. Sade rested her hand on his waist as they engaged in their steamy kiss. Pulling away Kairo repeated what he said "Dammi un bacio"
This time Sade leaned up placing her lips on his, she pecked them repeatedly loving whenever he spoke Italian to her. His voice was already a panty wetter but when his accent came into play it was a panty soaker. "Amo le tue labbra"
(I love your lips) Sade told him as she sat across from him now back at their table he looked up at her taken back by her words
"Where you learn that from?" He chuckled pulling on her hand a habit she had become accustomed too.
With a silly grin and a slight shrug Sade responded "I may have picked up an Italian language book"
Kairo eyed her lustfully wanting to teach her nasty nasty words in Italian. Sade took notice to the lust as she laughed standing up "I have to use the restroom I'll be back"
Kairo stood up from his seating position on the black leather couch "Let me walk with you"
Sade waved him off flipping her ponytail that surprisingly was still straight over her shoulder "It's fine I'll only be a minute" she told him continuing her journey.
Kairo still eyed her making sure she made it inside without any disruptions. He tore his eyes from the door briefly letting his attention fall to his security Bo for light conversation. Sade checked herself out in the mirror fixing her hair and re applying her lip liner in the mirror before pulling her phone out taking some quick photos before washing her hands and exiting.
"Excuse me" Sade yelled over the music trying to get by, successfully getting back to her section the two decided to take a few more shots before heading to a restaurant to feed their liquor.
Now sitting across from each other Kairo took the time to inquire about Sade "I don't know, you just seem closed off" Kairo let out eating a greasy french fry
Sade leaned back folding her arms across her chest as she took in his handsomeness noticing his low eyes as he continued stuffing his face " I can be, I can admit I struggle with vulnerability"
"Why do you think that is?"
"Vulnerability is scary, I'll rather protect myself then risk myself" she simply responded since to her that made the most sense
Kairo nodded understanding " We just have to be careful with who we chose to be vulnerable with"
"Enough about me. What about you?" Sade teased leaning in resting her arms on the table
"What about me?" Kairo too leaned up
"Are you comfortable being vulnerable?"
" I can be, I'm aware of the downside but I also know good things can come from letting someone in" he told her causing a light smile to grace her face.
"You've been in love?"
This question caused him to sigh and immediately Sade could feel the switch in energy "Yeah I have. You?" He quickly tried to deflect
Sade took a light sip from her water before giving him her answer "I don't know if I could even call it that." Sade eyed Kairo as he waited for her to explain further "To be in love it has to be mutual, I loved him but"
"Forgive me, if I've dampened the mood" Kairo apologized tugging on her hand
"No you didn't, I asked the question." She assured him
The two transitioned into a much lighter conversation bringing smiles and laughter back into the atmosphere, everything between them flowed so natural, and while Sade knew Kairo wasn't as vulnerable as he portrayed he was open, and that's all that mattered.
