Hailey's POV:
I woke up the next morning at 8 because I didn't have class until the afternoon so I decided I'll clean up the house a little because I didn't have the time and it's a mess I went to the bathroom brushed my teeth and washed my face then started fixing my bed and organizing my books I then went to dad's room I opened the window and let the sun shine throw, the day was beautiful but not for me my heart hurt I feel so weak and little dizzy I then opened his closet and I found a box at the floor I took it and put it on the floor,I sat and opened it and then found all mom's stuff, her cloths her make up bag and even our pictures he kept them all from me I held her favorite shirt I remember when she used to wear it and I come to hug her so I hugged the shirt as tears filled my eyes then started pouring down my face I then saw a camera I turned it on and played the videos it was the night mom gave birth to me they were in a hospital room mom holding me in her hand and dad filming her they said they were so happy they had me and they adored me ,I played the next video it was my first birthday the image wasn't clear to me because my eyes were so full of tears, how could he just leave me like that he was all I had left? Then the bedroom door opened with a loud bump I turned around and there stood Frank
"so you're here, oh what is that in your hand?" he asked and took a step and I hide the camera behind my back and started backing away
"what are you hiding?" he roared
"It's just a tape from my mother when she was alive" I finally replied and he strangely believed me
"so did your screwed up dad show up last night or called?" he asked and that made my blood boil
" I don't fucking know he left he is gone and I know for sure he doesn't care enough to come back so stop showing up!!" I screamed, I was so annoyed and broke and just tired he took a step closer so he was facing me then he bend down and whispered
"oh wrong move little kiddo"he cought me by the hair and I screamed in pain then he slapped me I tried to get up but he put me down by holding my hair then punched my stomach and I felt the pain all over my body he then lifted me up and pushed me to the wall roughly the bones of my back almost cracked , he slapped me over and over until I was laying on the floor bleeding from my nose and mouth he then backed off and fixed his jacket
"that will teach you a lesson" was all he said after walking off and I couldn't move the pain almost killed me and all I could do is cry and cry until everything went black
I woke up not knowing what time was it I tried to move but my ribs hurt to death I grabbed my phone from my back pocket and saw it was 6 in the morning looks like I slept until morning I forced myself to move with all that pain and went to the shower I took a look at my face in the mirror and I gasped I had a cut on my lips and a big black eyes and bruises covering all my face I started taking off my shirt as the pain got worse and under it my ribs were all blue and bruises everywhere I took off the rest of my cloths slowly and went in the shower I let the hot water poor down my body as I silently cried in pain, I finished the shower and went to wear my big black hoodie with black leggings and my converse I put the hood on and tried to cover my face so people won't see me, took my bag and went to school on my way I stated feeling weaker and dizzier but I managed to get to the school parking lot
Blake's POV:
Hailey, she didn't show up at school yesterday and damn it I don't even have her phone number but I'll sure as hell get it today and I don't even know where she lives to go check up on her, maybe she's just sick or had to go with her family! And even though I don't know her for a long time and I'm not that close to her I keep thinking of her, her beautiful innocent face, her smile, the beautiful sound of her laugh, the taste of that kiss, and the hug, I remember it all I just can't get her off my mind, I saw a body on the parking lot someone wearing a black hoodie that cought my attention then the person collapsed on the floor and I ran to help him I took their hood of and I saw Hailey's face it was full of bruises and she had a cut on her lip I carried her and ran to my car I laid her on the back seat and started driving to the hospital
"Shit!" I screamed and hit the steering wheel, who would hurt her? Who could do such a thing to an innocent person like her I parked in the hospital parking lot and carried her to the emergency room
"please can someone help me here?" I said in panic as I ran throw the door a nurse came running
"yes sir from here please put her here" she said pointing to the bed then a doctor came
"please sir leave the room now" she said and pushed me out of the room
I kept going back and forth until the doctor came out and I ran to him
"she's find I gave her some pain killer and put some cream on her bruises looks like she've being hit really hard, and as for the fainting it's because she didn't eat for days now but she'll be fine you can take her home as soon as she wakes up" the doctor informed me and I nodded
"Thanks you" I said and he went
I can't believe someone did that to her, and why haven't she eaten in days? I'll have to get the answers from her as soon as she wakes up
4 Hours that's the time I've being waiting for her to wake up the nurse let me in her room and I'm sitting in a chair next to her waiting for her to open her beautiful eyes I was starting to get tired and frustrated I put my face in my hand and closed my eyes
"Water" a weak voice said after a while I looked up and Hailey's was staring at me I rushed and gave her a cup of water
"how are you feeling now?" I asked her after she finished her water
"I'm fine just my ribs still hurt, what am I doing here" she asked me looking around the room
"you fainted in the school's parking lot and I bought you here, I also saw your face, what happen to you?" I asked her worried her faced changed and she looked down as if I looked into her eyes I might find out the truth
"I was rushing to get here so I tripped and I fell from upstairs all the way to downstairs" she replied but I didn't believe anything she said
"Right" I nodded "by the way what did you have for dinner last night" I asked her taking my seat again I could sense her getting nervous because she's a really bad liar
"I can't seem to remember ,why?" she replied
"and the night before?" I asked again
"why are you asking Blake?" she asked me instead of answering and I knew that she really haven't eaten in more than one day
"well the doctor said you can go home as soon as you wake up I'll go get the nurse for you to help you get ready" I said and walked out of her room and then hit the wall with my fist but I knew the pain I felt was nothing comparing to what Hailey had felt
Hailey's POV:
After everything went black in the parking lot I woke up in a hospital room with Blake next to me, he took care of me and bought me here and he looked so worried but when he kept asking me I didn't know what to answer I was such a bad liar cause I hated lying and it always hurt me to lie to people so lying to him was really hard because he did all this just for me now he went to get the nurse so I can get ready to get out of here I think I just heard something hit the wall but we're in a hospital people will be crying and hitting walls all the time after a little while a nurse came in to help me get ready
"how are you feeling?" she asked me
"I'm fine thanks" I said and smiled
"well your boyfriend right there really freaked out he came in carrying you and shouting for us to come" she said while helping me get dressed
"oh Blake he's not my boyfriend he's ... well we're not even friends we barley know each other" I said putting a shirt on
"for a person you barley know he looked so worried I mean he was even hitting the wall before I came in" she said when I finished getting dressed, what?
"maybe he doesn't see you as a person he barley know honey" the nurse said and walked out then Blake came in
"you ready to go?" he asked and I nodded we walked to his car while he was holding my waist carefully
"Blake I can walk you know no need to be so protective" I let him knew but he didn't reply we reached his car and we got in and he started driving I looked at him and I have to admit he is so attractive everything about him is just gorgeous and perfect and then I remembered what the nurse told me, he carried me shouting? And he hit the wall for me? and even when I woke up he looked worried I was bought out of my thoughts when the car stopped and I looked out and it was the building where he lived
"why are we at your place?" I asked him but he just ignored me ad got out of the car and opened my door I walked out and we went to the elevator he rested his back on the wall and closed his eyes he looked tired and annoyed and in one second BOOM! The elevator stopped and I almost fell if Blake's arms didn't catch me
"What the hell?" he shouted
"Blake don't tell me we're stuck here" I questioned in fear
"don't worry" he said and went to press that red bottom
"help will be here soon" he added and I nodded and to make this even worse my stomach made that embarrassing voice and I looked at the ground
"you're hungry" he said
"no" I replied and he sat on the elevator floor and I was starting to get nervous I hate close places and I started pacing around non-stop
"can you stop pacing around you're making me nauseous" he stated from where he was sitting
I stopped pacing for a moment and stared at him he then took his phone out and his headphones and started listening to music I took a seat next to him and took one and started listening too it was Chris brown song Hotel feat Kid ink I loved that song so I started to sing with it
"I say why you over there looking at me when I'm with my girlfriend, why you over looking at me and my girlfriend let's take it to the hotel oh" I stopped when I felt his eyes on me and he paused the song
"how do you do that?" he asked in a serious tone
"so what?" I replied confused
"how can you manage to be strong to act like nothing happened after you've being beaten up to death and didn't eat for days?" he said his voice getting louder
"How-What?" I lost words and tears filled my eyes but I closed them to stop the tears from skipping then I felt his hand on my cheeks and his soft voice
"Hailey, I know that we don't know each other really well or not for a long time but I can help you" he said in all honesty then I opened my eyes and looked at his beautiful face then his eyes dropped to my lips he leaned in and I didn't move I just watched his action BOOM! The elevator made another sound and the lights were off and I screamed and Blake just hugged me so tight and I held into him and cried I couldn't breathe and I felt the room getting smaller and smaller by time
"Shh it's gonna be alright,okay I'm here" he kept saying while holding me and for some reason his words made me feel a little safe but all of a sudden the elevator started shaking
"shit" Blake groaned and I moved closer to Blake his arms wrapped around my waist and I cried I was so scared
He held me there and told me it was okay but I was too scared so I kept my head in his chest and hugged him
I started feeling weak and sleepy my head hurt and I wanted to sleep
"Hailey, still alive?" Blake said to lighted up the mood
"yes" I managed to say
"why is your voice so weak?" he asked worried then he moved and the light of his phone was on my face
"you don't look so fine, Shit!" he groaned and went to press the red bottom again and again but nothing then he kicked the door with his foot
"Fuck!" he screamed and I tried to stand and went to him
"it's fine let's just go sit okay?" I asked and hold his hand we sat at the floor again and I rested my head on his shoulders
"let's play 20 question instead of this killing silence" he suggested
"Okay, you go first" I replied with a weak voice I was trying to stay strong until we get out of here but I had no energy
"favorite color" he asked
"Blue,You?" I asked
"Green" he replied "why do you like the Blue?" he added
"well because it's beautiful and because it's the color of the sky and sea and when I look at both of them I feel alive, and why do you like green?" I asked
"it makes me feel alive too, I mean green is nature green is planet" he simply answered
"Okay, have you ever fall in love?" I asked
"No" he answered "you?" he added
"Nope, don't have time for that, and plus there is no such a thing called love" I replied
"why haven't you fallen in love?" I asked
"didn't found the right person" he replied " why don't you have time what are you so busy doing?" he asked and I didn't know what to say it was really messed up
"busy with school that I was in before I came to art school, and I have a job after school to go to so no time for love" I said half lying
"if there is no such a thing as love then what it is the feeling that people share and talk about and we see in movies?" he asked
"well they think it's love, I say you just get used to that person and get used to them being next to you, so there is no such a thing called love it's just getting used to that person" I explained and he just nodded and said nothing
"your best moment" I asked
"when I was 6 me and dad used to go out and play football all day and when I'll come back home mom will be cooking dinner we eat and then watch a movie it was our week end routine" he said and I could sense the pain in his voice "and you?" he asked
"when I was 10 me and dad and mom went to a trip we went to Disney land it was the best time of my life seeing all of my favorite characters I couldn't sleep that night because I was so happy" I remembered that time and a tear left my eyes and Blake held me closer
"worst moment?" I asked and I know I shouldn't because he'll ask me the same one
"when my mom dad got a divorce nothing felt the same I chose to stay with mom and then dad never showed up, mom got married to this other rich guy and spend her time traveling" he said I took a hold of his hand
"and you?" he asked and I saw that coming I was quit for a while and he didn't say a thing because he knew it was hard for me so he held my hand tighter
"the day my mother died it changed everything, after that dad lost his job and started drinking and-" I couldn't finish tears were blocking my vision and I couldn't open my eyes anymore and Blake was shaking me
"Hailey! Wake up stay with me, Hailey" he kept shouting and I couldn't breathe and fainted
I woke up in a very comfortable bed I opened my eyes and saw an unfamiliar walls then the door opened revealing Blake
"Hey" he said as soon as he saw me I sat on the bed feeling a little better now but still weak
"Hi, how did we get out of the elevator?" I asked
"well after you fainted I kept hitting that fucking bottom and screaming then the lights came but the elevator didn't move yet so I went back and held you for an hour praying that you were fine and then suddenly the elevator worked and we were saved" he said sitting in bed too, he didn't even feel ashamed to tell me that he held me or to show me that he cared for me but no I can't believe him no one cares, look at dad I was his own daughter and he left me and for Blake I was nothing so he'll leave me and don't even give a shit
"Well thanks I need to go home now" I said trying to stand up but I felt dizzy and Blake came running holding me
"easy there Hails you're still weak stay here I'll come back" he said then went out I laid in bed again and waited for him to come back after a while he did and had a tray in his hand he put it next to me in bed I sat and took a look he got me food the tray had two pieces of pizza a plate of Lasagna and a plate that contained a big slice of steak and mash potatoes
"Blake that's a lot I can't finish all this" I said
"it's okay eat what you can then" he said sitting next to me in bed
"have you eaten?" I asked taking a bite from my Lasagna and it tasted so freaking good
"Nah I'm not hungry" he replied
"here take some" I said and I gave him the slice of pizza actually I put it in his mouth and then he held it and smiled
"Thanks" I replied when I finished eating
"it's no big deal, really" he replied "look it's getting late just sleep here and I'll drive you home tomorrow morning, call me if you need anything" he said and took off taking the tray with him I didn't even got the chance to argue
Knock Knock!
"come in" I said
"I got you some cloths to sleep in" Blake said and handed me his shirt and some shorts
"thanks" I said and put them on bed, he just stood there staring at me and I couldn't help but stare back,then he broke the eye contact and started walking away
"Good night Hailey" he said with a smile and closed the door
"Good night Blake" I whispered in the empty room.
