I laid on the bench, my eyes gazing up at the stars ... or the stars I can see anyway. I could hear the sound of a swing being used along with light giggles. I couldn't help but smile softly at the sound, the sound I hardly ever hear. I turned my head looking over to see Aliza giggling happily as she swung on the swing with her eyes closed. "It feels so funny." She giggled to herself. A frown replaced my smile at the thought of dragging her back to that house.

I jumped up once I heard footsteps as I man dressed in a lab coat wearing black gloves and a hat, the shadow of his hat covering his face. He had a sort of demeanor I couldn't place my finger on as I looked at him, my brows furrowing in confusion. "Hello little one." His voice spoke, it was deep yet soothing. I could feel my shoulders instantly relax at the sound of his voice. Despite the warning of stranger danger, in my young mind I believed no one could be worse than father.

"I'm not that little." I claimed, raising my head a little higher to prove my point. Aliza stopped swinging at the sound of the unfamiliar voice, however, she didn't move off the swing. "I'm eleven in fact." I stated with a proud look in my eyes.

The man chuckled, "Pardon me, I did not know." He then began to look around, seeming to look for something. "Where are your parents?"

"Our mother is dead." I stated bluntly, not batting an eye. I hardly knew the woman, only glimpses of her remain in my memory. All I know is she died due to ovary cancer after giving birth to my sister.

The man let out a small gasp, "Oh I am so sorry." I shrugged in response, not really caring, it was just a question ... a good one in fact. "And your father?" He questioned hesitantly, unsure what sort of answer she would get.

I thought for a moment, wondering what he would be doing right about now, "Drinking ... or maybe sleeping." My brows furrowed, unsure of what he would be doing at this time of night.

The man let out a hum, "I see." His tone sounded sad, empathy radiated from his words as he gestured to the spot next to me. "May I?" He asked politely to which I nodded in reply gesturing to Aliza to come over. She slid off the swing, before hesitantly walking over to my side. "What are your names?"

"I'm (Y/N), this is my sister Aliza." I introduced myself, before holding out my hand for him to take. "You are?"

The man hesitated for a moment, before taking my hand, "Xavier." His hand felt ... skinny, as if he hadn't eaten properly. Although he does seem like he is a scientist, maybe he was busy with a project of his. The man, Xavier, let out a sigh, "I know this may seem sudden, and you don't know me, but how would you feel living with me?"

I looked at him confused, unsure why he would ask such a question. I looked over to my sister, who met my golden gaze with her scared filled eyes. I look back over at Xavier, any place would be better than going to that house, "Happy sir." I could feel Xavier smile at my answer.

"Good." He stood up off the bench, holding out his hand. "Shall we go? It's getting a little chilly out here." I slid off the bench, grabbing hold of his hand as Aliza took mine. He led us away from the park as a cool breeze flowed through the trees. Maybe finally things will get better.

It's been days, or assume it has been days. It's hard to tell in this white void. Error has been training me with this newfound power, he's actually not too bad of a teacher, at least to me anyway. He's rough, especially with his words, as he throws bones and gaster blaster's my way. However, Error never goes too far, the worst wound I got was a bruised back when one of his gaster blasters charged forward and slammed right into me. I was surprised I didn't get a broken rib from that, I still got a whole lecture though. He called me multiple things ranging from idiot to imbecile, all sorts of terms under that category. Glitch never came out of his mouth again, not ever since our first fight. The pain in my eye never returned, neither did the bleeding, not unless I forced myself past my limit to which I found out the hard way. All in all, it actually hasn't been all too bad living with Error.

I sat on a teal bean bag next to Error as we watched the Telenovela together which turned out to be another undertale universe. I glanced over at Error who was completely immersed into the screen. "Hey." I spoke, Error humming for me to continue. "How did you know I possessed magic? I would've thought you assumed I brought a knife with me." I asked, curiosity gleaming in my gaze.

Error tore his own gaze from the television, his eye sockets wide with surprised before a chuckle came out, "I'm SuRpRiSeD yOu HaVeN'T aSkeD tHiS qUeStIoN bEfOrE." His gaze went back to the TV show before he answered the question. "It WaS bEcAuSe YoUr LeFt EyE wAs GlOwInG. It GlOwS wHeNeVeR yOu UsE mAgIc." He explained, as he reached his hand down, grabbing a chocolate bar, opening it before taking a bite.

I nodded, "I see. I'm surprised I never noticed." I place my fingers right below my left eyes.

"WeLl I dOn'T eXaCtLy HaVe A mIrRoR." Error joked with a shrug, to which I couldn't help but giggle in response.

"Guess your right." I giggled, as I turned my attention back to the show, watching as the Spanish Frisk challenges Spanish Asgore. However, I didn't notice Error's gaze wasn't on the TV anymore, instead they were locked on me. He shook his head, seeming to clear any thoughts in his mind, before grumbling something under his breath. "Hmm?" I let out a hum, thinking he said something.

"NoThInG!" Error said quickly, his shoulders tensing as his gaze snapped back onto the TV. I looked at him confused for a moment before turning my attention onto the TV as well.

I jumped hearing a familiar portal open, Error quickly wrapped his strings around me before shooting up towards where all the souls and puppets were. Error then quickly opened a portal himself before kicking the beanbag through it, a string of curses coming out of the portal before he closed it.

I let out a small, annoyed, sigh as Nightmare stepped out of the portal with a basket of food being carried by one of his tentacles. He glanced up where I was hanging, seeing the new bruise on my cheek due to getting struck with a bone right in the face earlier during training. One of the reasons why training was called off early today despite my protests. Thanks to the training as well, leaving me scratches and bruises, Nightmare thinks Error is torturing me physcologically and physically, since everytime he stops by I'm visibly exhausted and beaten up. I just add in the depressed, teary eyed look, which works like a charm every time.

"I see you had some fun." Nightmare spoke with a grin, looking back over at Error as he placed the basket right besides Error's blue bean bag.

Error shrugged as a smirk formed along his features, "WhAt CaN i SaY, i GoT bOrEd AnD sHe Is JuSt HaNgInG aRoUnD." Nightmare chuckled lightly, nodding in agreement.

"I'll bring over the basket of food for you tomorrow morning later. I ... have to deal with a few things first." Nightmare stated, shrugging lightly as he turned on his heels.

"CoPy ThAt." Error replied watching Nightmare walk through the portal before it closed behind him. Error let out a sigh of relief, snapping his fingers causing the strings around me to carry me towards the ground. Once my feet touched the ground the blue strings unwrapped themselves around my body gently before going back up towards the web. "ThAt WaS a ClOsE oNe." Error mumbled, scratching the back of his head.

I dusted myself off as Error walked over towards the woven basket. He opened the lid, seeing sandwiches, fruit, water, and chocolate, which he guessed was for him. Error was kind of surprised with Nightmare's meal prep, he didn't expect for him to pack these things for a prisoner. It honestly made him a bit on edge, he began to consider checking the food for poison or drugs.

I walk over to his side, "He laces them with a sleeping toxin." I answered his question, afterall I myself was questioning the same thing. "I guess he hopes to start nightmares or something. Hard to give nightmares to a person that can't feel fear, but he is still trying. Had a dream about killer clowns last night." I explain as Error shut the basket, before picking it up.

Error let out a chuckle, "ThAt SoUnDs LiKe NiGhTmArE." He then looked down at the basket before looking over at me, "HaVe YoU eVeR lOoKeD aT tHe StArS."

"Like as in stargazing?" I asked which Error nodded in reply, his gaze shifting to my own. "I used to when I was little." I began clasping my hands behind my back, looking up towards the blue string where I can see the pulsing souls, which at the height they are at looked similar to stars. "I used to go out to the playground with my little sister. I would lay on the park bench at night and just look up at the stars. There weren't many, due to the light pollution from the city. But I could always see Orion and the big dipper, the little dipper I can see sometimes." I say with a light smile, before looking over at Error, who had a soft gaze.

He snapped his fingers, a portal opening next to him, "C'mOn, I wAnT tO sHoW yOu SoMeThInG." He then stepped through the portal, nodding for him to follow.

I followed after him, curious on what or really where he was taking me. I stepped through the portal, seeing Error a few paces in front of me with the basket sitting beside his feet, his hands in his pockets. Once I stepped through the portal closed behind me, however I didn't even hear it close as my eyes widened in amazement.

The sky had brilliant white stars scattered across, each of them sparkling like diamonds, some glowed more than others, and some weren't even white but red or blue even. The sky wasn't just black either, there was purple and blue with a path of stars along them. There were floating pieces of rock floating in some places with glowing plants on them. "It's beautiful." I breathed out, I couldn't bring myself to look away as a shooting star streaked across the sky. It was as if I was looking at a painting someone created of the milky way. My eyes continued to scan the sky as I walked up next to Error, not noticing him switching out the sandwiches with a snap of his fingers.

"I lIkE tO cOmE hErE tO gEt AwAy FrOm ... EvErYtHiNg." He let out a sigh as his own gaze scanned the sky before him. "LoOkInG aT jUsT wHiTe AlL dAy CaN rEaLly DrIvE oNe A LiTtLe CrAzY." Error added as he sat down. I followed suit, sitting down as well, criss crossing my legs. "I wIlL nEvEr DeStRoY tHiS wOrLd." I hear him mumble, as a smile, a genuine smile falls on his features.

I kept my gaze on Error, he looked relaxed, at peace as he looked up at the night sky. I don't think I have ever seen this side of him, only the grumpy side. Despite being called the Destroyer of Multiverses, he's not that bad of a guy. A soft smile perked my lips, as I pulled my gaze away from him. "It is very peaceful here." I spoke in agreement, Error glanced over in my direction, his smile brightening a little.

"AlRiGhT, lEt'S eAt BeFoRe NiGhTmArE cOmEs BaCk To ThE wHitE vOiD aNd SeEs We ArE GoNe." Error chuckled lightly, as he turned to the basket, opening it before handing me a sandwich and grabbing himself a chocolate bar.

I thanked him as we both began chatting, mostly it was Error describing the worlds he has been to along with ones he has destroyed. One of those being an anime themed world, which by the sound of it i don't honestly blame him. I like anime myself but the whole cat ears and otaku plus senpai talk people say gets old really quick. I even told him about my pet snake which was currently at Nightmare's castle, most likely with Horror at this moment. I laughed as he told another pun, shooting me finger guns, "That was awful."

"BuT yOu LaUgHeD." Error pointed out, pointing at me with his finger.

I giggled, "Because it was so awful." I claimed in between my giggles as I calmed myself down. Then an idea popped in my head, "Hey wanna play a game?"

Error shrugged his shoulders, "SuRe. WhAt Is It?"

I smiled at his answer, "Three questions. We each take turns asking a question about ourselves. We also each get one free pass if either one of us doesn't want to answer." I suggest. Error agreed to play, gesturing for me to go first. "Alright, why do you make puppets?" I ask,

Error rolled his eyelights, "I tHoUgHt YoU wErE gOiNg To aSk WhAt My FaVoRiTe CoLoR wAs." He adjusted the way he was sitting. "I cReAtE pUpPeTs Of DiFfErEnT SaNs To KeEp TrAcK oF eAcH uNiVeRsE i'Ve BeEn To. I nAmE tHeM aFtEr ThE nUmBeR oF uNiVeRsE i MeT."

I perked up in interest, "So there are number one and two puppets?" I asked, turning my body towards him.

Error smirked, "Ah Ah AhHh. ThAt'S a QuEsTiOn. It'S mY tUrN." I huffed, crossing my arms in displeasure, well I tried. "AlRiGhT hOw Do YoU kNoW yOu CaN't FeEl FeAr?"

I sat there for a moment, thinking of the best way to break it down to simple terms along with summarizing it up. "Well ever since I was little, mostly after my sister was born, I noticed I couldn't feel any fear in scenarios that required or most people would have that emotion. One day my doctor did some tests, finding a certain part in my brain or really a component that I was lacking." I explained the best I could, after all my doctor explained it much better.

"InTeReStInG." Error hummed, nodding a little. "HoNeStLy ThAt MuSt CoMe In HaNdY sOmEtImEs." I nodded in agreement.

"Alright, why don't you wear your glasses all the time?" I questioned, remembering him wearing the glasses when he was making puppets or reading a book.

Error scoffed as he crossed his arms, "BeCaUsE tHeY aRe ReAdInG gLaSsEs. I oNly WeAr ThEm To ReAd oR tO FoCuS oN sOmEtHiNg." He answered, looking away slightly, before looking back towards me. "AlRiGhT, hAve YoU eVerR kIlLeD a MoNsTeR?" He looked serious as the words fell from his mouth, a judging look flashed across his glowing eyes.

I clasped my hands in front of me, looking down at them for a moment before looking back up at him with no emotion, "I have. They tried to kill both my sister and I, so I did what had to be done. I would do it again in a heartbeat to protect the ones I love." Error looked at me in surprise before a grin spread against his mouth.

"YoU dO hAvE tHe PrOtEcTiVe SoUl TrAit." He responded with a shrug. "It Is iN yOur NaTuRe." Error's grin softened.

I smiled lightly, "Alright, why did you choose to train me? I'm honestly surprised you stopped your attacks, much less told me you would train me after seeing my soul." I asked my third and final question.

Error looked at me surprised for a moment, before shrugging, "I hOnEsTlY bEcAmE cUrIoUs OnCe YoU sTaRtEd DeFeNdInG yOuRsElF wItH mAgIc. bUt ReAlLy I ..." Error hesitated for a moment as I waited expectedly for his answer. He let out a sigh looking away as he spoke, "I wAnTed ... a ... SparrInG pArtner." He answered, his voice becoming less glitchy by the end as a light blue blush decorated his cheeks.

I blinked in surprise, realizing he must have never had a real friend before, much less someone he can confide in. A sparring partner must be the closest option he has considering not many people would be willing to be friends with the Destroyer. I smiled, "I never had a sparring partner either." Error looked up in surprise as he met my gaze, something glistening in his gaze but before I could pinpoint it, it disappeared just as quickly as he shook his head slightly.

"oK, wHaT wAs YoUr LiFe LikE bef-"

"I'll pass." I said quickly, interrupting him causing his eyelights to disappear for a moment before they returned as he gave me a look of confusion. "That story is best for another day." I stated as I pushed myself off the ground, dusting myself off as I began cleaning up the trash, shoving it into the basket. "We should get going, Nightmare will be back in the void sometime soon."

Error couldn't form any words as I picked up the basket, however I could tell he was cursing himself out for asking the question. It's not like his question brought up much trauma thanks to my lack of feeling fear, however anger boiled in my blood for the man I once called my father. I promised myself if I were ever to come across him again I would become karma herself and inflict everything he inflicted on my sister except making it ten times worse.

I was snapped out of my thoughts as a hand brushed past mine grabbing the basket, looking over in surprise as Error took the basket from me. He hates being touched so why- "YoUr HaNdS aRe TrEmBliNg." Error stated as he looked down at my hands. I looked down as well seeing them tremble, my guess was anger along with remembering the feeling of pain. "I kNoW yOu DoN'T FeEl FeAr. AnD prOtEctInG iS yOuR tHiNG. BuT i PrOmIsE, nOtHiNg WiLl HaRm YoU eVeR aGaIn." Error claimed, I could hear the anger dripping from his voice yet his tone was calm and soothing despite his glitchy voice. I couldn't help but feel touched as a single tear slipped down my cheek, not used to hearing those words from anyone. "HoWeVeR, i NeEd YoU tO pRoMIsE mE sOmEtHiNG." I whipped the tear quickly, nodding my head. "If NiGhTmArE eVeR fInDs OuT yOu ArEn'T mY sLaVe oR wHaTeVeR hE cAlLs It. I NeEd yOu tO pRoMiSe Me NoT tO uSe YoUr MaGiC iNfRoNt oF hIm. WhO kNoWs WhAt ThAT PsYcHo WiLl Do." Error's mouth formed into a frown as his eye narrowed.

"I promise." I spoke, giving him a slight smile in response. Error looked over at me, before returning the smile, he then snapped his fingers opening the portal.

"GoOd LeT'S gEt SoMe SlEeP." Error stated as he walked through the portal with me right behind him. As soon as we both stepped through the portal, it closed behind us.

"Well well well ... what do we have here." A familiar dark voice spoke, causing Error to flinch while my gaze snapped over, seeing Nightmare with a displeased look on his face.

Well just great.
