Lucia Quinn
Waking up in my house in Milton Keynes, snuggled up with Max, I took a deep breath in and a smile grew on my face. "What you smiling at?" Max mumbled as he opened his eyes "Just you Maxy" I whispered "Yeah? Well then I'll give you something even better to smile about" He wrapped his arms round my waist and pulled me on top of him "Max!" I gasped "What?" He tilted his head all cutely "No, I need to shower" I went to get off him "Then let me join you" Max grabbed my hand "No" I laughed and carried on getting off the bed and into the en-suite bathroom "Please Cia, please! I promise it will be worth it!" Max gave me his best puppy eyes "Fine, come on" I placed my hands on my hips as I looked at him "You don't have to tell me twice sweetheart" Max raced off the bed and then picked me up bridal style before getting in the shower.

"So I was thinking" Max walked out the bathroom in just a towel whilst I sat on my makeup vanity chair to put my moisturiser on "Oh god" I looked up at Max "Shut it, anyway I was thinking that as my home race is next weekend we should flyover this weekend so we can spend a few days in the Netherlands" Max smiled "Ok, sounds good Maxy" I replied, excited to see where Max is originally from and where he grew up.
Saturday 8th July 2024
Lucia Quinn
Standing in the private airport with Max and his trainer, we met Victoria, Lio and Luka there as we were going to fly all together. "Are you excited?" Victoria asked once we were all sat on the private plane "You bet. I've never gotten to properly visit Amsterdam" I smiled "You've been here for past races? No?" Victoria questioned "I have but I never really left the hotel apart from going to track" I shrugged, knowing full well it was due to my anxiety "Well, I'll have to show you some of the best spots" Victoria winked my way before turning her attention back to her two boys.
"Can I get you anything to drink Miss?" The air hostess asked once we were in the air. I do want a wine, but I've taken my anxiety medication and I can't mix them so I opted for a water instead "Of course, I'll go grab it for you now" She smiled and walked back to the front of the cabin. "No wine Lucia?" Sophie asked "No, not today" I smiled "Mhm ok, I'll let you off the hook. But only this once" Sophie laughed and then returned to her conversation with her daughter.
"You ok sweetheart?" Max placed his hand on my thigh "I'm alright Maxy, just tired" I smiled "Well then why don't you sleep, we still have another couple hours" Max raised his other hand and caressed my cheek with it "Yes boss" I let out a soft chuckle and rested my head on Max's shoulder, feeling him kiss the top of my forehead a small smile appeared on my face before I fell asleep almost instantly.

"Auntie Cia, auntie Cia" Lio whispered and my eyes slowly opened "Yes my love?" I smiled and then quickly took in my surroundings and found I was now the only one in the back section of the plane as the others had moved up and partly shut the door as I presume not to wake me. "C-can I sleep here? With you?" The little boy questioned and a smile grew on my face "Of course you can Lio bear" I moved over so he could climb up and he got straight up onto my lap where he proceeded to curl up and rest his head on my chest. Wrapping him up in my arms I rested my head lightly on top of his and fell back asleep as I listened to his soft breaths.

Sitting in the lounge area with my family, we quickly realised Lio had snuck off somewhere "I'll go check up the front" Vic got up out her seat as that's where we found Lio last time, trying to get in the cockpit "Just in case I'll go look at the back" I got up as it was also an excuse to go see if Lucia was still ok.
Quietly sliding open the door that I had left ajar last time I had left the room, I found my girlfriend and my nephew snuggled together in the reclining airplane seat soundly sleeping. "Hey Vic, I found him" I softly chuckled as I turned round to face the rest of my family "Oh god, he's not woken Cia has he?" Her eyes widened and I shook my head.
As Victoria looked round the door, a grin grew on her face "How'd she do that? Lio never sleeps on a flight" She said "Let me see!" My mum got up from her seat to see what we were looking at. Letting my mother through, Victoria moved out the way as I couldn't quiet peel my eyes away from the two just yet. "Oh my goodness aren't they just the cutest!" My mum squealed clearly in love with the sight she's seeing "Oh Max, Lucia's just perfect" My mum clung onto my arm "She really is" I said, my words laced with nothing but love for the woman curled up on the chair with my nephew securely sleeping in her arms.
Sliding the door almost shut, I sat back down and had a permanent ear to ear grin on my face, worn with pride that the girl my family adored, was my girlfriend.

"Hey Lucia, we're about to land" I sat back in the seat next to her and moved her blonde stands of hair out her face.
Watching her gently wake up, she never let go of Lio who was still sound asleep in her lap "Hey Maxy" Lucia said softly and then planted a kiss on my lips "Hey sweetheart" I kissed her back "Here let me go give Lio back to Vic so you can get up" I picked up my nephew and he didn't wake as I placed him on my hip and his head rested on my shoulder "Thank you" Lucia whispered and then got up to go to the bathroom.

Finally reaching Max's house in the Netherlands that outlooks to a lake, surrounded by tree's. Victoria and her husband had finally gotten their boys to bed and had now joined Max and I sitting outside to watch the sunset.
"You know you guys are the cutest right?" Victoria said "Look" She then showed Max and I a picture of the back of us sitting and looking out across the lake. "I love it, send it to me?" I beamed and then Max asked his sister to send it to him as well.
"Cia I'm posting this photo" Max said as he loaded it up to his Instagram story "You can't tell it's me can you?" I asked "Nope" Max laughed and then wrapped his arm round me.

Waking up again snuggled up into Max like I always was, I got up first and went to make a coffee "Baby, pants!" Max slowly opened his eyes "Oh shit, thank you" I looked down and realised I was still only in my tank top and underwear, "My joggers are on the back of the chair sweetheart" Max pointed to his black joggers that were resting on the back of the chair. Quickly slipping them on I then walked down stairs and into the kitchen where I was met with a hyper Lio.
"You're in a awfully hyper mood for 9am Lio bear" I picked the boy up and placed him on my hip "Auntie Cia! I've missed you" He wrapped his little arms round my neck "You saw me yesterday you silly goose" I bobbed him up and down. Only getting a cheesy grin out of him, I sat him down on the counter tops and let him help me make my coffee.
"So Luka what did you want to do today?" I asked the older of the two boys "I-I-I don't know" He shrugged shyly "That's ok baby, shall we have a lake day?" I prompted "Yeah!" Lio jumped in and jumped straight on my lap as I was now sitting at the table "Sound fun Luka?" I wanted to know what he thought "Yes" He smiled "Perfect" I shot him a gentle smile and then turned my attention back to Lio, who was playing with a few of my blonde strands of hair.
A couple minutes later, Max appeared and sat with the 5 of us, planting a kiss on my cheek. "Uncle Max!" Leo beamed and then moved onto his uncles lap, Max instantly took him and lifted the little boy onto his lap.
"Uncle Max! Auntie Cia said we can have a boat day!" Lio smiled "Now that sounds fun" Max looked down at his nephew and then looked up at me and shot me a devil's wink.
