"Because I love you... I love to dance in the rain with you..."

The only thing Jungkook could hear was that. The voice of his prince, sweet and low, against his lips, as the raindrops fell from his eyelashes to cheeks, touching his lips. All he could do was portray the face of Kim Hansung, just in front of his eyes as he looked at the student council secretary.

He knew Taehyung was in pain, he wanted to help. For god's sake, he doesn't know what made him stay at the uni after the little quarrel with Yoongi. Jungkook was mad, but that's not it. He was broken because he couldn't do anything about it.

Time went on with thoughts, the rain came and he walked out of the uni only to meet Taehyung standing alone, totally drenched. Though his instinct was to walk away since Taehyung looked like he was in his own daze, Jungkook couldn't bring himself to do so.

As he stared at the man who stood in front of him with a lost expression, face littered with cuts, eyes closed and body trembling, Jungkook couldn't figure out why Taehyung was doing that to himself. He just wanted to help and the elder made it so difficult for him. At one point, Jungkook wanted to leave.

The moment when Taehyung said those words, he wanted to stay away from everything and everyone.

So, he stepped away, freeing Taehyung from his hold which does not even mean to be there in the first place.

"Only if you know what it feels like to be loved by me..."

Jungkook mumbled, the hurt oozing with his words, and Taehyung opened his eyes softly. Their weak gazes met and the already blurred vision got hazier as if their heads were spinning. Taehyung stepped away to walk.

He didn't say anything further and turned to walk away. But Jungkook couldn't. He was stuck, he needed something to hold on to and help himself.

"No, wait..."

He voiced out, but no one heard. When Taehyung didn't stop and look in his way, Jungkook leaned to grab the man's hand and pulled the other towards him. Too shook to utter a word, Taehyung let himself fit in Jungkook's strong arms, the grip around him tightened, things falling into places again.

Jungkook held Taehyung tight, pressing their bodies closer and wrapping his arms around Taehyung's slender waist. He thought the least he could do was tell Taehyung something comforting since the expression Taehyung carried on felt heavy on his heart.

He took slow and steady breaths, not really minding the way how they were glued together, their wet dress sticking as another skin, the slow rain drops making their vision blur and they shuddered from the cold and close proximity.

"What are you doing?"

Taehyung asked in his heavy voice, the softness he had in his tone earlier was clearly missing. Jungkook hid the shaky thoughts crowding inside and took his good time to scan Taehyung's eyes which were tired yet so intriguing.

"I... ugh, You're hurt and bleeding. At least let me treat your wounds."

"Ha, as if you could. As if you can heal me..."

Taehyung murmured under his breath.

"What?"

"Umm, nothing. Just... never mind. I'll just leave. Bye--"

"Taehyung, listen to me..." He tried again, yanking Taehyung's hand and placing it on the shoulder.

"Why would I, Jungkook? Why would I listen---"

"Because... "

Jungkook stammers this time, he doesn't even know why he was searching for a reason to make Taehyung stay and let him help. God, he doesn't even know the council secretary, yet he was willing to treat the wounds of the other, doesn't even matter if Taehyung was ready to acknowledge the small act of humanity.

Jungkook felt his heartbeat stuttering, before putting a lot of thought into it, he blurted out.

"Just let me help you. Consider this as a friend's request, please..."

He could feel Taehyung jolting up in his hold, guessing his words caught the other off guard, but he let his glance stay on him. Taehyung doesn't fail to read the honesty behind the delicate gaze Jungkook had set on him, though the words only helped to shake him to the core.

"Friends? Us? As in you and me?"

Jungkook passed a tight lip smile, before replying.

"Yes. Can't we?"

No.

Taehyung wanted to say.

No. We can't be friends.

At least, he can't. Especially when Jungkook always gives him the butterflies in his stomach from day one, ever since Jungkook held him in control with his charms, pulling him closer without knowing, making Taehyung fall for him even more whenever their gaze meets. Taehyung was not sure he could consider Jungkook as a friend.

What friends will they turn out to be? Taehyung doesn't even know. But he can't say no to the man either, especially right now when Jungkook was looking into his soul, wide eyes brimming up with anticipation as if wanting to listen to a positive answer.

Taehyung would never lend the glow in Jungkook's eyes for anything in this world. So, after battling with himself, he settled on Jungkook's words.

"Umm, fine... I guess."

"Okay, let's go then."

"Wait, did you just convince me to be friends with you because of these awful cuts on my face?"

Taehyung dramatically squealed, letting out the noise, and making Jungkook roll his eyes.

"Jeez, I only wanted to help..."

Jungkook ended up saying, for which Taehyung let out a soft giggle. Taking the umbrella from the ground and cursing at the state they were in, both marched towards Jungkook's dorm.

All the way, they shared bearable silence and one or two comments from Taehyung for which the elder replied in a soft hum or a curt nod, cutting their conversation short because reaching the dorm was the only thing he had in his mind.

"I guess you're lucky. Else, no one had the fortune to befriend me like this and invite me to their dorm"

Taehyung said, kicking a stone on the path that landed somewhere far, and pulling his hair so randomly. He didn't know how to keep himself calm and stay put, especially after knowing that he was going to Jeon Jungkook's dorm.

Oh, heaven, have mercy on him because Taehyung was screaming inside, wanting to jump around and dance.

But he kept the urges all to himself since he can't afford Jungkook to think of him as a weirdo more than he already is. So, he tried talking less, attempting to not annoy the love of his life walking by his side.

"Hmm..." Jungkook hummed at the statement.

"You're lucky that you're cute. At least your bunny-looking face appeals to me, big boy."

"What in the world was that and...

I'm not cute" Jungkook stated, moving the umbrella slightly away from above Taehyung, the elder whining as the raindrops fell on him. But his complaints died down when Jungkook giggled.

"Of course, you're cute. Cuter than anyone, but Jimin is still on the top, ha.

Actually, you're a bunny, with your big round eyes and,"

Taehyung paused in the mid-sentence when he felt the rain on him because the umbrella shade was no more there. He turned to look back at Jungkook who paused on the track, staring at him with the said big round eyes and standing as if he was frozen.

Taehyung noticed the way Jungkook's lips trembled, hands tightened around the umbrella, suddenly forgetting that he was drenching in the rain and both of them were not making a move.

"W-what happened?"

He asked the younger in a faint voice, and couldn't decipher what was going on.

Jungkook wasn't moving, he wasn't blinking. All he could do was recall the words again and again. All the time- traveler could feel was his innocent smile for him, and the sweet whisper in his ears.

'Has anyone told you that you look like a bunny?'

The question reverberated in his head, and Jungkook felt tears stinging in the back of his eyes. What was he doing? Why was he even trying? Jungkook doesn't even know anymore. He was so unknown to himself.

"Nothing."

Snapping back to reality, Jungkook replied to Taehyung who was looking at him with concern written all over his face. He joined the elder, shaking all the thoughts that were creating chaos inside him, and walked forward in silence. He will deal with his messy self later, but for now, he needs to help Taehyung and they strolled their way to the dorm without breaking the silence.

~ 🍂 ~

To say Jungkook was shocked to see the reaction from the dorm mates would be a major understatement. He was too stunned to speak when the students from other dorms glanced at their sides, some passing warm smiles, some waving at Taehyung for which the council Secretary flashed his wide grin, and some stood on the corners gossiping.

Jungkook felt his cheeks flare up because it was the first time he was getting a lot of attention on him. And it does things to him. Not in a good way.

Ignoring the whispers and flashy smiles, Jungkook led Taehyung to his dorm. He could say Taehyung was fine with all that since he was the secretary and knows most of the uni, the elder was doing a pretty good job acknowledging the attention on him.

Jungkook felt heaviness in his heart, as they stopped in front of the door, dorm no: 3001. Taehyung passed a small grin at his side, but when Jungkook pressed the doorbell instead of unlocking the door with his key, Taehyung looked at him, puzzled.

After a minute of silence, the elder suppressed the confusion inside and the question he had to ask, right then the door opened, revealing a guy in an oversized shirt, sweatpants, hair messily falling on his face, the annoyance written clearly on his face. Taehyung felt his heart stopping at the sight.

"Even hell doesn't open on ass'o clock, dumb head"

And, Taehyung let out a chuckle, beating Jungkook on entering the dorm, clinging to the man.

"Hyungg... You're here!"

"What do you mean I'm here, This is where I live, you fvckers!"

The three walked into the dorm, Jungkook closed the door behind him and scratched his neck, nervousness and confusion lingered on his face, he followed the other two who were now settled on the couch.

"Umm... Taehyung, do you know..."

Flashing a soft smile, Taehyung replied.

"Oh, yes. we're friends."

"Taehyung!"

This time the man called his name, but Taehyung ignored it and continued clutching his arm.

"What, hyung, I missed you so much."

"Yoongi hyung?"

Jungkook voiced out as if he was lost between the two as if he was waiting for the new information about the both to enlighten his dumb head. Yoongi glanced at him with a sleepy expression, Jungkook gulped knowing that he would really have to do the damage control of disturbing Yoongi's precious sleep.

"You know each other?"

"I think, I'm the one who should ask you that, Jungkook. So... care to explain?"

The three passed short glances at each other, Taehyung wanted to disappear the moment when Yoongi's clear eyes landed on him, definitely scanning the wounds on his face, and then he waited for Jungkook to say something.

The silence wasn't bearable for anyone, especially when Jungkook lowered his head, staring at the floor. So, Taehyung decided to break the ice before it melts.

"Ugh, we... kind of know each other and..."

"Did you get into a fight?"

That's all that Yoongi asked when he found Taehyung fumbling and struggling to fetch an answer. He chose to drop the topic right then and there, but the cuts on Taehyung's face weren't letting him go like that.

"N-no!"

Taehyung stuttered while Jungkook walked to a table near the corner. Yoongi passed a suspicious look at Taehyung who grinned at him, winking mischievously.

"Whatever you say, kid. And, may I know why you two are drenched in rain like this?"

"Umm... We... I mean, I was coming back to the dorm and forgot to take the umbrella, so Jungkook here helped me to---

Hyung, are you even listening?"

Taehyung stopped, acting sad and pouty when Yoongi sighed at his words. He knew his lies won't work on the elder, but Taehyung couldn't tell the man the whole truth. At least when they were in the same room as Jungkook.

Speaking of the other, Yoongi scanned around to see Jungkook but guessed he might be in the room to pick up the towel and first aid box, so he scooted closer to Taehyung. He didn't know why, but taking Taehyung's hand in his, he felt the younger calm down for a moment.

Yoongi gazed at Taehyung with an unreadable expression.

"Taehyung, I know what you're feeling right now. It's Jungkook whom you can all think about, it's about how Jungkook helped you, how you two drenched in the rain and took you here... and all... I know, but..."

Taehyung knew where this was going, but he chose to listen to Yoongi because he felt the need to do so. Yoongi is not just a friend to him, he sees the other as an elder brother. And Taehyung would not think Yoongi's words are trivial. In fact, he knows it clearly like a day.

"But, Jungkook was doing all of it because I needed help. He would do that to anyone because he's a born-kind person."

Taehyung said, making Yoongi look at him stunned.

"I know, hyung. I know it all."

"Then... why..."

"Because I don't know, if I stop this, if I stop caring about the little things he does, if I stop giving attention to him, if I stop loving him, I doubt I could barely stay alive.

The days without seeing him already makes me half-dead and trust me, Jimin says, ''I'm a zombie when Jungkook-deprived."

He let out a chuckle, eyes wandering around the room, lazily stopping at the organized things in the dorm. Unlike him and Jimin, it seems like both Yoongi and Jungkook are neat roommates, really sensitive to messy and unorganized things. Suddenly, Taehyung felt out of place.

After a moment of silence, Yoongi said.

"You know your feelings may not be..."

"Reciprocated? Mutual?"

The elder took a sharp inhale, breaking his gaze from Taehyung to an abstract painting stick on the wall.

"I chose him, hyung. I chose to love him because of who he's. The one who is always kind respects everyone, works hard and looks dreamy, and doesn't know that I and my love exist.

But, that's okay."

Taehyung smiled, eyes sparkling and face glowing, a heartwarming grin for which Yoongi couldn't help but feel his heart melting. He wanted to pull Taehyung in a hug, but he clenched his hands tight.

Then Taehyung's gaze landed on the man who came out of the room, towel and first aid box in his hands, and walked towards the kitchen. Jungkook smiled at both of them while getting something from the cabinet.

"Because, my love is enough for us, and... I'm so not gonna back out from making that cute little bunny mine."

Something like pride is what Yoongi felt at first, but he didn't want to fuel anything that would end up hurting Taehyung. Because he can't read and write the future, Yoongi decided to give it in the hands of time itself to sort out. He wished his both friends to find the love they were longing for.

Patting Taehyung's shoulder, Yoongi smiled softly at him. By that time when Jungkook came to him with a first aid box in his hand, Yoongi stood up to walk into his room, not forgetting to tell Taehyung to stay over and leave in the morning.

The younger nodded, but his mind was in chaos, seriously needed to settle down on one thing at a time. He was clear at one thing though.

He needed Jimin. He wanted Jimin right that moment, at least to tell him that 'It's okay, mate. The real world sucks and I can relate. Let's do a backflip, land on mars, and live like aliens' and Taehyung would scream at his best friend, 'You bet, let's get it'.

Tears brimmed up in his eyes even though he sounded brave just a moment ago, but he knows only Jimin can handle his mood swings, only Jimin can tolerate his dramas. And right at that moment, Taehyung neither wanted Yoongi nor Jungkook. He needed Jimin, his soulmate from the moon.
