Elsewhere in Skylands, everything was peaceful and all the mabus still loved peace until everything was interrupted. Captain Dreadbeard and his crew fire their cannons and steal all the valuable stuff and take it to their airship and fly away. And something that has been stolen is a treasure chest.
Cross Crow: "I don't really understand what we have stolen, Captain? Is it very valuable, or just something inside is worth more power?"
Captain Dreadbeard: "This chest we stole is more valuable, or maybe powers. Whatever it is, I will open it and share it with all of you."
Rage Mage, Cross Crow, Cuckoo Clocker, and Hood Sickle wanted whatever inside the chest. Dreadbeard began budging to open the chest but it was locked.
Cuckoo Clocker: "Do you need help, Captain?"
Captain Dreadbeard: "No, no, I got it." As he tries to budge it. "I'm the Captain, and I can open it. Just need to get it open if I need.... Something.... That... can..... Open."
Anonymous voice: "Like a key?"
Captain Dreadbeard: "Yeah, that's what I need."
Then he pauses and looks to see where the voice is coming from, and the Skylanders come out of their hiding and reveal themselves as the D-Team, Dragon Team.
Rage Mage: "*Gasp* It's the Skylanders!! Master Eon's elite squad!"
Hood Sickle: "No, is not, those are the D-Team. The heroes who defeated Silther and his Cyber-Dragons." As he recognizes them.
Rage Mage: "Really? I thought the other Skylanders defeated them."
Hood Sickle: "Those were other Skylanders who defeated the other villain. You know, the smart machine who wants to bring orders and enslave all creatures and wants to destroy the Skylanders."
Rage Mage: "Uhhhh, no, I don't really know who that villain was."
Hood Sickle: "*Groan* Why can't you remember the Skylands history? We all must know the history."
Rage Mage: "Well, sorry, history is boring. And learning makes me very tired because I want to lay down and watch videos and all that stuff. You know how life works."
Both of them continue arguing, as Zoran interrupts them.
Zoran: "Hey, bad guys, are you gonna take us out, or continue babbling about history?"
The villain stops arguing, and Captain Dreadbeard laughs because he has his plan ahead.
Captain Dreadbeard: "You, Skylanders, don't even know what you're up against. I have planned all this to take you down with one cut." As he then uses his sword and cuts the rope which the net falls on them revealing it's a trap. "Ha, ha! See, I told you I'll capture you, Skylanders! Now you will walk the plank when we're in the air."
Anonymous Voice: "And who says they're gonna walk the plank?"
The villanis look and see another Skyanders, and this time it's Team Spyro.
Captain Dreadbeard: "More Skylanders?" As he was confused.
Jet-Vac: "That's right, we trick you while sneaking onboard. Didn't take long for you to be distracted by our new squad."
Captain Dreadbeard: "Grrr! That's it! Boys, get them!"
The crew attack the team, as the D-Team manage to break free and battle Dreadbeard. Both battles continue, as Team Spyro work together and defeat Dreadbeard's crew. Then the D-Team finished Dreadbeard, as he was defeated.
Spyro: "It's over, Dreadbeard. We got you and your crew."
Captain Dreadbeard: "Oh, I thought you might say that."
He then threw his sword directly at the engines and caused the airship to stop flying but fall. The Skylanders hold on and see they're falling so fast that they need to get the airship going before hitting the ground.
Camo: "We're going too fast! How are we gonna stop this thing?!"
Nina: "We need to get the airship back to the air! Echo, Zap, get the engine fix! Sunburn, Camo, see if we can get the sail up! And brother, with me! We're gonna take the wheel!"
They all listened and got into their position. Echo and Zap hurry to fix the engine, Sunburn and Camo set the sail ready, and Nina and Zoran take the wheel and try to steer it up. They pulled harder trying to fly up, as they were all getting closer to the ground.
Eruptor: "What are they doing now?"
Pop Fizz: "Don't ask me, I have tons of air blowing right at my face." Feeling the air on his face.
Nina and Zoran pull harder with their might, then Sunburn and Camo join and help them.
Nina: "Together!!" As she and her friends pull.
They were almost to the ground, just when Echo and Zap finally fixed the engine.
Zap: "Got it!!!"
The heroes pull, as the airship swoops up before hitting the ground. They were all happy they did it and finally saved themselves from crashing. Moment passes, the guards take Dreadbeard and his crew to prison, and Team Spyro congratulates them for saving their lives.
Stealth Elf: "Congrat to you all, you did a great job saving our lives and all that stolen treasure."
Nina: 'Thanks, Auntie Stealth."
Stealth Elf: "*Giggle* You can call me Stealth for now, Nina. You and your brother earn it."
Spyro: "And a big surprise. Something that we have done for a long time."
Sometime later, everyonefrom all over Skylands gathered for the "100th Annual Skylands Awards" for being "Protector of the Year." Hugo announced the Protector of the Year is the D-Team. The Skylanders applause for them, including Spyro and Cynder, happy to see Nina and Zoran, and their friends, were awarded for being heroes.
Hugo: "And now, let's hear their speech of what they have to say."
Nina was the first one as the leader of her team.
Nina: "Hello, everyone. I'm just happy to meet all of you who really appreciate us for saving your town and bringing the stolen treasure that all villains do. I just wanted to thank my parents, my uncles and aunts, my headmaster, and everyone for supporting us in becoming Skylanders. So, thank you."
Up next was Zoran and he was ready to speak.
Zoran: "I really love being here cause helping is what brought us together. I thank Mom and Dad for helping me become a Skylanders and meet my friends here. So, that's all, thank you."
Then Camo was next as he spoke.
Camo: "When I was still pranking everyone with fruits that explode, I met Stealth Elf as she told me that pranking can hurt others feelings. So I apologize and understand not to prank everyone ever again. Seeing my ability, she invited me to the Academy where cadets become Skyalnders. So I join in to become like the heroes in Skylands. And just wanted to say, thank you all cause I love being awarded for this Skylands Awards."
Next was Echo and she spoke.
Echo: "When I first saw the Academy, I thought to myself maybe I can become a hero because hy hobby was singing. And singing really helps to make everyone feel better and happy. Then I met Pop Fizz. He has his instrument and I sing for him which made everyone happy. That's why I join in to help and save everyone. So I thank him for the hobby of becoming a hero."
Zap was next and he spoke to the crowds.
Zap: "I saw Eruptor and Jet-Vac battling bad guys and save the swamp. So I journey to the Academy and find myself where all the cadets who want to become Skylanders. If I haven't seen them fighting, my life will change who I am from becoming a Skylanders."
And the last, Sunburn who was next.
Sunburn: "I met Flameslinger at the forest where he uses his flames to defend the town. But he found me and introduced himself as a Skylander. I was surprised and showed him my flames, and he was impressed and told me about Skylanders which brought my interest. So I came to the academy and signed up to become a Skylanders."
The crows applaud for them, as Kaos steps up to speak.
Kaos: "I thank these heroes for saving Skylands a million time. Well, I remember correctly how many times we saved Skylands without counting. But anyway, let's enjoy celebrating the 100th Annual Skylands Awards to our heroes."
Applause, and the D-Team were rewarded with medals and prizes. As the celebration keeps going, Nina and Zoran find their parents and hug them.
Cynder: "Knew you kids can do it."
Zoran: "Yeah, our first time. Just look." As he held it. "The 100th Protector of the Year." My first award."
Nina: "Don't get too excited, brother. We still have more savings to do."
With all of them talking, Glumshanks and Hugo were carrying the chest that was still locked.
Glumshanks: "So, where do you want us to take it?" He asked Kaos.
Kaos: "Back to our Academy. Father told me it is very important to bring it back, and it maybe, well.... Dangerous. So just be careful."
They understand and carry it to the portal pad and teleport to the Academy. And Kaos received another disturbance and needed Skylanders to face some bad guys.
Kaos: "I have another disturbance from another land. I need Skylanders to go there and protect."
Camo: "Aw, man. But we were just having our 100th Protector of the Year."
Spyro: "Don't worry, me and my team will check it out. You, Skylanders, deserve a break-off."
The D-Team thanked them and continued the celebrations, as Spyro and his team stepped onto the portal pad and were sent to another land. And the opening credit theme song begins.
