"Maddie, are you ready?" Meredith asked her daughter
"Mama!" Three year old Maddie ran towards her mother
"Let's go, we have a flight to catch!" Meredith exhaustedly smiled
"See daddy?" She asked
"Yep, we're going to see daddy and many more! We'll sleep at poppy Richard's house!" Meredith grabbed their suitcase
"Yay!" Maddie jumped up and down
"Now gimme a hand, monkey" Meredith reached her hand out so Maddie could hold onto it
"Will we see auntie Cwistina?" Maddie asked as they walked out of Meredith's apartment
"Yes monkey. We'll see her as well!"
"Did you pack my stuffies?" Maddie asked
"Of course I packed them, Mads. And I brought Fluffy so you'll have it on the plane. Is that okay?" Meredith asked
"Yay! Thank you mommy!" She smiled

Meredith was carrying a sleeping Maddie in her arms and carrying her luggage as they tried to find Richard and Adele
"Meredith!" She saw them waving. A smile appeared on Meredith's face and she walked towards them
"Hey" Meredith smiled
"Give me that suitcase, honey. How do you feel?" He asked concerned as he saw she was exhausted
"I'm fine" Meredith sighs as she was completely worn out from the flight
"Do I need to take her?" Richard asked and placed his hand on Meredith's back
"No. I got her." She assured him and together the four of them left the airport. Meredith was exhausted and had almost fallen asleep in the car but now here she was, installing her daughter in the crib and getting herself ready for bed after Richard had begged her to take some rest

"Mama, the sun's out! Time to wake up!" Meredith heard Maddie say as she felt tiny fingers through her hair
"I'm up" Meredith groaned. "Lay down a little longer, Mads. Please." She tried as she was super tired
"But I'm hungry!" Maddie whines
"Let's get up then.." Meredith sighed and pulled her blanket away and started shivering so she grabbed a pair of joggers and pulled it over her leggings
"Mama, hurry!" Maddie pulled at her arm
"Aww" Meredith winced
"Sowry!" Maddie gasped and let go, running to the corner of the room
"Oh pumpkin, I'm so sorry!" Meredith gasped and kneeled down. "Mommy didn't mean to scare you, baby. I'm so sorry" She whispered as tears pooled in her eyes
"Sowry.. I weally didn't mean to" Maddie quietly said
"It's okay. Come here so we can go downstairs to uncle Richard and aunt Adele" Meredith reached her hand out for the little girl
"Kay" The girl replied and grabbed her mom's hand. Together they slowly made their way downstairs
"Hey girls, how are you two doing?" Adele asked as she placed the plates on the table
"I swept gweat!" Maddie smiled and her eyes widened as she saw the pancakes. "Mama, can I have some?" She gasped
"Of course pumpkin!" Meredith wanted to lean forward and felt another stab just as when Maddie pulled at her arm.
"Let me do it-" Richard jumped up as he saw what had happened. He placed a pancake on both girls' plates and smiled
"Thanks" Meredith quietly muttered
"You look pretty tired, are you feeling okay?" He asked
"Besides everything my body's going through? Yeah" She sighs and Adele and Richard dropped it for now as Maddie was with them
"Dear, I made you a bag you can take to work." Adele tells Meredith
"Thanks." Meredith smiled and they all finished breakfast
"Okay. I think we should get you ready for the day, no?" Meredith suggests
"Mommy, I want my pink dress!" Maddie gasped
"Okay" Meredith giggled and got up but suddenly felt dizziness take over and had to brace herself
"Maddie come with me, I'll help you into that pretty dress" Adele quickly said as Richard stood up to steady her
"Kay!" Maddie smiled and grabbed Adele's hand
"And I'm gonna check your blood pressure right away" Richard quietly said so Maddie wouldn't hear
"I'm fine. Just stood up too quickly.." Meredith insisted but Richard checked her out anyway
"Take it easy this morning, okay? I'll come get you for lunch" He said sternly. "And then we have that appointment"
"Yay" Meredith rolled her eyes and then Maddie walked back into the room so Richard decided to say nothing more
"Mama, look!" Maddie ran towards her
"Oh monkey, you look stunning!" Meredith smiled. "Are you staying with daddy? I bet you'll be very happy to see him again!"
"Aunt Adele said I can ask to pway out!" Maddie informed her mother about the rest of her day
"That sounds very very nice" Meredith nods
"Mama, will you come as well?" Maddie asked
"No monkey. I have work today with uncle Richard. I'll be home tonight but it will be a lazy night again.." Meredith slowly explained
"Again?" Maddie frowned and sighed
"Sorry monkey.." Meredith sighed
"Girls, are you ready?" They heard Richard's voice
"Yes!" Maddie giggled. "Come on mommy, let's go see daddy!" The girl smiled
...
"Mama, hurry!" Maddie pulled at Meredith's arm. She tried not to wince and sped up her speed a little until they reached Derek's office. Maddie immediately knocked on the door
"Mads!" Derek opened the door and lifted the girl in his strong arms, cuddling her tight. "I missed you so much!"
"It's been soooooo long!" Maddie gasped
"Two full weeks!" Maddie gasped
"Yes!" Derek tickled her. "Hey Mer. How have you two been?" He asked her
"Maddie, tell daddy about school, okay? Because she's been so good!" Meredith smiled
"You can tell me all day!" Derek laughed. "Monkey, there's a present for you inside" He winked
"Oh what's it!" Maddie gasped
"Go see, mommy can come if she wants?" Derek suggests
"Yes! Mommy come!" Maddie pulled at Meredith's arm but Derek noticed something was up with his ex wife. He decided to not ask with Maddie in the room
Maddie opened the present and got a stuffed animal, a monkey
"Can I call him nanas?" Maddie turns at her parents. "Because monkeys like nanas!"
"Bananas?" Meredith giggled
"Not only monkeys! You're obsessed with bananas as well" Derek giggled and tickled her before turning his attention back to Meredith. She looked a little pale, her arms wrapped around her stomach. "When is your flight back? Then I can see when I can fly out to visit her" He asked
"We're staying in Seattle for a while" Meredith muttered
"Why? Why didn't you tell me?" Derek frowned
"She'll attend daycare here, everything is arranged with Richard. Of course you can have her over at your place, I was thinking of making a schedule. Maybe tonight? Can she stay with you? If not then Adele and Richard are there as well. I'm staying with them-" Meredith rambled
"Mer, that's okay, you're rambling. Are you going out with Cristina or something?" He frowned, not knowing why she was so nervous
"I wish.." She whispered which made Derek frown. "Look, we need to talk. But not with Maddie around. Can we talk this afternoon? Maybe during lunch? Richard can watch Maddie" Meredith suggested
"Sure Meredith. Is everything okay?" He frowned
"Everything's fine." Meredith nodded and walked towards Maddie.
