soriah was getting dragged by kai throughout the hospital as they walked. Well she was walking and he was more like running. They walked into his moms hospital room. All the doctors were around just standing in there until we walked in.
"mama" kai saw his mom sitting there her eyes were wide open with a frown on her face until she saw ty in, letting the smile take over her face.
"look at that, I told you" the nurse said looking at Tara with a smile on her face, kai went over and hugged his mom along with a kiss on her cheek.
"He's been here everyday to see you" the woman nurse said
"oh really" tara said lowly wit her voice rasping
"mhm, sometimes we had to tell him to go home" she said making everybody laugh. Including Tara but that little laugh turned into a small cough.
"is that who I think it is" Tara said and Kai looked back at soriah
"hi" soriah smiled waving with her hand
"I haven't seen you in some years" Tara rasped as she hugged soriah
"all grown up" Tara mumbled
"yeah she think she is" kai shook his head laughing
"you hating" soriah mugged him
"my bad" he said tapping her waist
"so what about Mia- that shit dead ma" kai immediately said cutting her off
"what happened?" she asked, while both soriah and kai pulled up chairs up to her bed
"she was on sum other type of shit" he shrugged not wanting to answer really
"never really liked her much anyway" Tara mumbled changing the tv channel
"youn ever like anybody I talk to" kai said making all three of them laugh a little
"well I like soriah" she coughed
"me and her ain't talking though ma" kai shook his head
"uh oh.. my bad" she said making them both laugh, as they started to talk more and more. Soriah smiled seeing him so happy. She had never really seen kai with such a big smile, but today she did.
"ma I just found out you clean chicken wit just water" kai said wit a confused face
"out of all things" soriah said as they made conversation
"well what did you think you supposed to wash it wit?" Tara asked
"uh soap" kai shrugged
"See and that's why ion let you nowhere my kitchen right there
"You can't wash no chicken wit no damn soap" Tara said straight facing him and laughing at the same time
"Them gone be some minty ass wings" kai mumbled
"when you think they gone release you?" Kai asked and Tara shrugged, she wasn't 100% feeling better so she needed to stay in the hospital for probably another month so that they can make sure she good.
"I don't know kai, just be patient" Tara said mumbling the last part
"I've been being patient ma" kai mumbled rubbing his forehead
"Just give another month and ima be full 100%" she said smiling.
They sat there and talked more and more, kai told her about everything that had been happening lately and how he had been feeling. As time went on they sat there till 1:00pm just talking.
"oh I gotta get her home ma" kai said standing up
"yeah I got class at 3" soriah said
"ohhh your a lil college student?" Tara asked and soriah nodded
"oh yeah I like herrr" Tara said making them all laugh. Tara just wanted her son to be with somebody who was going to keep him stable. She knew she wouldn't be there for him forever. So she wanted him to have somebody.
And even though kai told her that they wasn't talking, she ain't believe him and she also thought soriah would be perfect for him, she knew her son was in the streets so she just wanted him with somebody who could maybe pull him out that life.
"bye ma" kai said hugging and kissing his mom and then soriah gave her a hug as well.
"y'all be safe" Tara smiled and Kai nodded

𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫..
"ahh kai stop" soriah jumped on the bed running away from kai who was tryna get her because she turned off his Xbox.
"I didn't mean to do it" soriah said running around the house tryna get away from him
"I'm not gone hurt you ry, I just wanna talk" he said and she laughed as she stopped running
"promise"
"yeah mhm allat" he mumbled, and so she slowly walked over to him. Once she made it to him he turned her around and put her in a chokehold
"why would you do that" he asked referring to her turning his game off
"cause I wanna talk" soriah said as she struggled to get out then chokehold
"that's the lamest answer ever" he said letting go of her
"it's not though" soriah shrugged
"I'm sorry"
"Mhm" he mumbled walking back into his room. which he was laughing too cause he was usually the one apologizing for something dumb and now she is
"yo talk to your mom today?" She asked and he nodded, he had been talking to his mom every day since she woke up. Even if it was over the phone they would talk.
Kai layed back down and turned his game back on, and soriah sat beside him outta breath because of all that running she had just did.
She grabbed her phone hearing it go off. It was teek texting her back cause she had sent him a funny tiktok. Her and teek had been texting a little bit more since her parents party. It was nothing serious though.
"who dat?" Kai asked glancing over at soriah smiling at her phone and then he looked back at the tv.
"teek" she mumbled turning her phone off
"I thought you wasn't talking to him" kai frowned looking at the tv
"yeah we not talking like that" she shrugged turning over and laying on her stomach
"Is there a problem wit it?" She asked
"nah I just don't you to be wit them how you are wit me" he mumbled
"who's them? Teek?"
"Other niggas" he mumbled
"No i give it all to you" she smiled turning her head, and he got quiet, he was too busy smiling.
"I like you kai" she blurted out
"oh fr?" He paused the game and threw his controller over on the bed
"yea" she mumbled
"I like you too ry" he said, which he felt good saying. He had been thinking about telling her this but with everything that happened with Mia he just didn't want to be let down again.
"you gotta be my angel or sum shit" he said laying down wrapping his arm around her
"whatchu mean?"
"Ion think you realize it but I don't even think I would still be here if it wasn't for you.." he said laying his head on her back
"fr?" She asked and he nodded
"you make me feel like I have a reason to be here, and If my mom wasn't alive you would probably be the only thing keeping me on earth" kai mumbled
"I feel like you the only person besides my mom who really cares for me, and I love that you always there no matter what. The fact that we just now getting close and that I cried in front of you says a lot"
"You have a reason to be here even If I'm not here" she mumbled rubbing his face
"yeah now that my mom is awake, but before.." he got quiet
"you make me so happy" she smiled lightening the mood
"hell youn know how you make me feel then" he laughed cuffing her face, and they just sat there stared at each other.
"kai-" she was cut off by him pulling her chin to him, kissing her on the lips they started slow and he added tongue making her cuff his face.
He started kissing her a little faster putting more tongue in making her moan into the kiss. He pulled away and just looked at her.
"what was you saying?" He asked making her roll her eyes and laugh
