"Harley, let's calm down now." mama said as she was rubbing my back
U took a quick breath and shouted in a whisper "What do you mean my phone just suddenly vanished?"
"It's true. We were reading the story when suddenly a flash of light came out of nowhere and once we opened our eyes, it was gone and a note was left behind." norman said as he handed me the pink note
I opened it and read the contents aloud "You thought bitch. I hope you still loved the little time you had with your phone. XOXO D.G."
"That no good tiny fucker, baited me!" I said as I crumpled the note with my hands in frustration
"So what if you don't have your phone? You were fine the past 11 years." ray said
"I'm sorry but I didn't understand a word you said." I said making him sigh
"Ray's right. You were fine before and I think this is much better if you think about it." emma said with a smile
"She's right, you know. It's better if we just focused on the present events rather than the future ones because as you said it might not be the same as the story." norman explained
I sighed and said looking at the ground "Yeah, you guys are right. It didn't have wifi anyways and the things that I saved. I already finished them all."
"So how many chapters did you guys read?" I asked looking up
"Not that much. Just the events that were already done like the house, vines and the demons chasing us." don said making everyone apart from me nod
"What do we do now?" emma asked looking at me
"What'cha looking at me for? You guys already know what to do. I'll just be there to help you guys get out from getting killed and lead you the right way." I said making everyone nod
I looked at mama and asked "You know you can help us right? Or are you still in shock that this is all just a dream?" I saw her face turned into shock and she said with a determined smile as she looked at all of us "I already betrayed your trust once... I won't ever do it again... I'll help you all to the best of my abilities." getting everyone to smile
"Now that's settled. What's the plan of action?" I said closing my eyes... Only to feel that someone was crushing my skull
"Why are you lazing around for?! Help us as well brat!" ray said menacingly
"Ow Ow Ow Ow Ow! Okay! Okay! I'll help! I'll help! Mercy!" I said making him let go of me
"We should ask mujika and sonju about the current conditions of the world. Our original plan on going to the coordinates given to us by minerva is still our main objective." norman said getting nods from everyone
"You guys should ask sonju and mujika to teach you all that they know about surviving. Let the others get taught as well." I said getting nods from everyone
We heard, lannion shout that dinner was ready
I got up and dusted myself off and said "Let's go. I'm starving. You guys should ask mujika and sonju later when everyone is asleep."
As we finished eating our food. The others were busy cleaning up while emma and I just sat at a corner while mama was tending to our wounds while norman and ray were at the other side of the room helping as well but not that much since they were feeling better than us but not too much. While mama was busy wrapping new bandages on us and trying to cool down our fevers with Anna helped her out as well
We saw that gilda was walking closer to us with her eyes covered by her bangs
"Hey gilda? You're good?" I asked
"Yeah? Is something wrong?" emma asked
"Emma... Harley... I've wanted to say this since yesterday, I can't hold it in anymore." gilda said as she came closer
Making me squint my eyes and thought "This scene looks familiar." then it dawned on me and I hid behind anna
"What is it?" emma asked
Gilda in one quick motion went over to where I was and grabbed my ear and grabbed emma's shoulder
"If you two are not feeling well, you gotta tell us immediately." she said in a menacing tone
"G-Gilda?" emma looked at her afraid
Gilda then pinched my ear and emma's cheek pulling it making me scream "Stop! Please! Mama Help Me! I'm innocent! I didn't know any better!"
"Shut up." gilda said as she let go of my ear maming my shout in joy in my head only for my cheeks to feel pain making me shout a scuffed "Stop!" as tears were threatening to fall
"Harley~!" I looked at gilda and saw a face that said "You wanna die now or be tortured later."
"Y-Yes!"
"Be quiet when I'm talking and listen!" she said
Making me sniffle and say "Yes."
"You two shouldn't keep going until you faint ever again, all right?!" she said making me go "Ye-Yesh~" letting go of my sour cheeks
"Freedom!" I screamed as I massaged my poor cheeks
"Got it!?" I looked over and saw she was also about to pinch emma's cheeks
"Y-Yes." emma said as gilda started her merciless attack
"I'm sowwy." emma said as best as she can with her stretched out cheeks
I looked over to where ray was and saw him giggling
"She's in trouble now."
"The same goes for you, ray. I heard you set yourself up as bait."
"And tried to defeat that lizard demon on your own, too."
"You're crazy to play tag with the pursuers!"
"Crazy!"
"Ray always tries to run off and die if you don't keep an eye on him "
"Trying to die again, eh?"
"Hey, hold it! Hold it! I wasn't-"
"Then let's ask sonju."
"He would have definitely died."
"Hey!"
"Norman as well!"
"Why did I get roped into this?"
"You fell unconscious as well!"
"You already get easily sick."
"Tell us if you feel sick or something!"
"Are we that much of a burden that you keep everything a secret?" gilda asked as tears were falling from her eyes
"Gilda... We really are sorry that you feel that way." I said then looked at the rest and said "To all of you as well."
"If there's any conculation. I didn't know I was stressed to be honest." I said giggling as I looked around to see no one finding that funny
"Too much? Not even a tiny giggle? No? Alright, I'll just shut up." I said sitting down with my back facing a corner
"Harley is right. We haven't been fair to you all. Starting from now on, we'll rely on you guys more. We promise. Right, guys?" emma said
"Yeah. Yeah." ray said waving his hand
"Sure. I promise." norman said as he smiled
"Ray really is a tsun tsun. Oh! Yeah for sure." I said
"It doesn't count if you don't promise the way harley promises." gilda said getting a "Yeah" from everyone else
I stood up and said "You three! Repeat after me. You make a pinkie promise, you keep it all your life. You break a pinkie promise, I throw you on the ice. The cold will kill the pinkie that once betrayed your friend, the frost will freeze your tongue off so you never lie again." the three repeated making everyone shout out in joy while ray just sighed as he shook his head, norman laughing at his dismay, emma laughing with the others and yours truly was just smiling at the scene
I heard clapping making everyone quiet down. We all looked over to who it was and saw it was mama smiling
"Alright. I was planning on a punishment since you four went and didn't tell us par from ray but I didn't give him permission to do what he did so he still is at fault. Even with everyone scolding you. You four are still in trouble for risking your lives.." mama said as she stood up
"I'll let the others pick it out for me." mama simply said
"...WHAT!" the four of us shouted at the same time
