They walked up to their parents. John and May. The two looked at them.
"Ma, pa.. I am non binary. Please respe-"
They were cut off by May, "NON BINARY?! WHAT EVEN IS THAT? ARE YOU SAYING THAT GOD MADE YOU WRONG?!" She yelled.
"N-No I-"
"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!" She pointed at the door.
"Pa-"
"Get out." was his short answer.
"Pa.."
"Get. Out!" He raised his voice, making them take a step back.
They hesitated for a moment before walking towards the door, "You were terrible parents anyways." They said, walking away.
They started running, as fast as they could. They found themself in the desert of Jasper, Nevada. Zero tripped over a rock, landing with a thud. Something was happening in front of them..
They looked up, "Oh my stars.." they said, staring at the giant alien robots fighting each other in front of them. Thankfully, they weren't seen as they quickly got up and ran away.
Maybe the local junkyard would work as a nice place to stay...
